np: Behelit (from berserk. that is one hella 1337 show.)

Is it true that people on the East Coast don't use "hella"? o_O Never? I couldn't imagine it at ALL. No 'hella'? Trauma... >_< That's why I have to get into Stanford. If I go to a school on the East Coast, I would use 'hella' and people would go 'huh?' unless they're cool West Coast people like me. :P It's not like ppl on the East Coast wouldn't know I was a Californian from all the layers of clothing I'd wear during the winter. ^^;; If I where four-five layers during the winter IN CALIFORNIA, how many layers would I have to wear if I was on the EAST Coast during winter? o_O (don't wanna think about it)

As you might be able to tell, I am now officially a second semester senior. (well, I do have a 30 question multi-choice test in Lit AP tomorrow, and a project due in art 4, but seriously, that stuff doesn't count. Could go through tomorrow half asleep and still have an A in both classes. ^0^) And now, I don't feel any compunction at all for goofing off and NOT DOING ANYTHING. :P I think I'll take a nap this afternoon. And I'm gonna go kick-boxing with Amanda tonight. ^_^ Gonna try to start getting in shape again... Gonna sign up for my domain name sometime during this FOUR DAY WEEKEND... ^_~ Start building website, start doing more CGing (believe me, I've got lotsa stuff to CG...) Gonna go do stuff tomorrow with Amanda and co tomorrow for lunch, and then we do stuff Friday, and Saturday too. Fun-ness!! Maybe we'll go and get crack-happy on Krispy Kreme donuts, get lost in the city I grew up in (though I didn't know it was my city at the time ^_~), and then scare the heck out of an Indian guy from Virginia again by laughing maniacally and chanting at traffic lights! ^0^ That was...intersting. And I WANNA PLAY KINGDOM HEARTS, DAMMIT!! >_< It's so fun-crack-happy looking that I just HAVE to play it! Too bad it doesn't come out until March... IN JAPAN. ;_; Face it Lisa, you're not gonna be playing it until you're in college... Oh well. I still have FFX to finish playing! ^0^ Now THAT is a cool game...

Umm, anyway. What've I been babbling about? I dunno... Okay, the DayQuil's starting to get to me... SO WHY ISN'T MY HEADACHE GONE!?!! o.<;; Dammit. Headache, go awaa~aayyy......! It's not listening.

I'm usually not this scary. Really. This is actually my alter ego, "Fluffy." Fluffy likes to glomp plushies (and bishies, too) so beware.

Oh, and once again, you've unintentionally given me brain food, Phi. ^^; I don't believe in destiny, I don't believe in the "perfect love" because I think the differences between people will prevent it in real life, and I don't believe that there is someone out there meant for me. I do, however, believe that connections between people, what is called love and affection, is very real, though imperfect. I also believe that love, both romantic and between friends and family, is one of the things that makes like worth living, because it's very difficult to enjoy life with only what you hold within yourself. Love isn't concrete, it's never quite what you want it to be, and it causes a good share of pain, but it exists, and it's beautiful, even if it's flawed.

Okay, shutting up now... Sorry about that, apparently Fluffy is a romantic realist. So sorry. Shan't happen again. (blame the dayquil!!)

Wanna see Escaflowne movie. Wanna CG. Wanna SLEEP. The current pita is getting really long. Better archive next time. Time to make a new layout too... Something white this time, i think... I want pearl milk tea.

np: nothing

I didn't get as much done as I hoped I would today, but I got more done that I thought I would.

.......does that make sense?......yes, it does, on second thought. Just checking.

A~anyways! Did a fair amount of physics, math, and bio studying today. Also determined that I'm not studying for the economics test. :P It's multiple choice, dammit! And I HATE studying for social studies classes! (well, I hate studying in general, but that's besides the point...) Anyways, not studying for econ gives me more time to study for math/science classes. And.....>_< I admit it. I watched Star Ocean EX 7, 12, 14, 15, 16, AND 17 today. ;_; six episodes. Skipping all around, too. I'm soo~ooo terrible.... But I LIKE Star Ocean EX! So nyah!

And I had a nice warm bath just now. *_* Myaaahhhh.... I always take showers, so being able to relax and take a bath is REALLY nice. Makes my toes all tingly. ^_^ Gah, one more week, and I'm done....no more finals, second semester seniordom....moooo....... AND MY DADDY GOT ME A NEW VIDEO CARD! IT'S THE SAME FRIGGIN' VIDEO CARD AS IN THE X-BOX! And my daddy's BUYING it for me! And installing it too!! X3X3 I love my daddy...

I am going to sleep/study biology now. (same difference) Have a sane finals week everybody! (heehee, oxymoron...)

np: Take a Bow (Madonna ^^;;)

Yes, I ~do~ listen to english, non-video game music!

NEways... I just wrote half of my egg drop report this morning. X3 Three pages of utter scientific senselessness! The last two sentences I wrote (yes, it really is only two sentences):

"The more of this potential energy that is transformed into rotational kinetic energy and dissipative forces, the less potential energy is converted into translational kinetic energy; this translational kinetic energy is what would contribute to the falling of the vehicle, and the smaller this energy is, the slower the vehicle will fall. Therefore, by increasing the amount of potential energy that turns into kinetic rotational energy and dissipative forces instead of translational kinetic energy, the slower the vehicle will fall and, and the gentler the landing of the vehicle will be."

X3 I don't even understand myself...

Yeah, I'm happy because I have a MP3/CD player, and I have a mp3 cd to play in it. 178 songs, 12+ hours of music, and an AC adaptor. All I need in life, I tell you! :3

Lalalaaa...finals coming. I don't think I can get an A in Bio AP. >_< I have a 89.0% in the class, and I need a 95% on the final to get an A. I never get that high on finals. suckage. first damn B since first semester algebra2/trig sophomore year. >_< Oh well. It was always my expendable class. My other classes, I'm more confident in. Chinese 3 = A, Physics Honors = 89.9% before teacher dropped low scores, and the final is worth 25%; just needa study for the final and get an A. ^^;; Not impossible... Lit AP, I think I wrote a pretty good in-class essay for the final, and I'm pretty good at multi choice literature tests, and that's all that's left, so I'm pretty sure I'll keep my A. Art 4...are you KIDDING? :p Economics AP, I'd need to get a D on the final to not get an A. Calculus BC AP, I'm pretty confident in my testing abilities. The lowest I've gotten on a calc test this year was a B-, and I get to drop that score. :3 So if I study, I'm in a very good position to get an A. Then there's biology. :/ I suppose I should try to study for it, but I don't even LIKE the class... Well, suppose I should try. I could still get an A...maybe...

But in general, I'm pretty confident in my abilities right now. ^_^ Randomness: KINGDOM HEARTS!! WAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! omigosh, who the FECK was on crack when they came up with THAT idea?! RPG game with Selphie, Tidus, Donald Duck, and Tarzan all in it? o_O Made by Square and Disney? ...fwHAAAHAHAAAHAA!!! ...guh....ch.. chh...ooo...oke....innng..ggg.... (dies) Like Super Smash Brothers as an RPG!! With SQUARE and DISNEY characters!! (starts laughing maniacally again, dies again) miGOSH!! SOMEBODY is on some really freaky crack. o_O Not as freaky crack as the crack the guy who made that freaky 151 Pokemon video thingy with the spinning Harry Potter heads was on, but still, that's some pretty SICK stuff...

Okay, done being crack-happy. Dammit, I took a FF7 character test, and I was Aeris! And when I did the FFX one, I was Yuna! I'm ALWAYS the freakin' White Mage! Except in FF9. I'm Steiner. :p Teehee! At least in FF8, there is no one that's specifically a White Mage. I'm Squall there. ^^ Funniness...

Now for seriousness. Kenji? Need anyone to talk to? I know I'd be freaked if I hit a possum; I'd got into shock-mode. Everything that happens sorta comes at me slow-motion, like I'm seeing and hearing everything that happens to me second hand. I know that's probably not what's bugging you at all... But if you need a ranting partner, I suppose I can try to be online. For a short period of time. ^^;; I'm still scared of aim... Type too fast, bad grammar, too many message boxes opening up, no fun....but ohwell. Hope you feel better, in any case... Gah, what am I talking about? Finals week is coming up. How can anyone feel better? ;_; WAHHH!!! Dun want finals! Finals icky! But wait...after these finals, we'll be SECOND SEMESTER SENIORS!!! WAHAHAHA!!! I can finish FFX with a clear conscience! X3 waiii!!!!! ...okay, that probably has nothing to do with anything either, but you can't blame me for trying, can you?

Last: I wanna cosplay when we go to AX, but I dun know what to cosplay as. ;_; I don't look like anyone! Can I just dress in yellow, get some yellow feathers, squeak and call myself a chocobo? :p Kidding, kidding. Though if I could squeak as cutely as a chocobo, I'd be very amused.....ha. And if I could sew, I'd go as Garnet. But I can't sew. So I don't know what to doo~oooo!!! ;_; Oh well. It's lunch time, so I must go now. But one last thing: book recommendation. ^_~ Lynn Flewelling's Bone Doll's Twin is absolutely EXCELLENT. It's what you call "compulsive reading." ^_~ It's not really a horror book, but it's really, really spooky. o.o It was REALLY good. EXCEPT that it leaves off at a cliffhanger. >_< Doh! What happened to Ki, dammit!? I LIKE Ki!! And I'll go eat lunch now. ^_^ Later!

np: To Zanarkand (FFX ^_~)

You have not lived until you've been plastered in front of a video game for 13+ hours straight. It's like, an otherworldly experience. *_* Especially when the screen you're playing on is taller than you are, the speakers are better than the ones at the local theater, and you're playing a game with such excellent characterization, graphics, scenery, and battle engine as Final Fantasy X. *_* Yes, I'm in love with the game, and I'm not afraid to admit it. Thank you Kee~eenjiiii!!! For lending me the game!! ^0^ You'll be wanting it back of course; I can either give it back once school starts or if you want it, I can try to get it to you earlier. Just tell me. ^_^ But anyways, thankyouthankyouthankyou!! I can't even express to you how much I love the game! ^0^ My sister too, and Jen and Patrick thought it was the best game, period, they'd both played in a while. ^_~ Okay, backup, quick explanation: CG club yesterday narrowed down to around four people: me, Jen, Patrick, and my little sister. (Patrick and my sister aren't CG club members, either. Just video game enthusiasts. ^^) We started playing FFX from the beginning yesterday at 5:00PM or so, only taking a break for dinner (pizza!) and finally, sleep, at 6:30...AM. The next morning. ^^;; Yes folks, that's a little more than 13 hours of gameplay! (not counting dinner) (or nappy-time) I had to wake up at 9:30AM, and everyone else woke up at 12:30; and then we all commenced playing at 1:00PM and continued until 6:00PM or so, when we breaked for dinner again. ^^;; 3 hours of sleep for me! I can't believe I'm not a zombie right now. o_O It must be waiting, biding its time... I'll be a walking zombie tomorrow. Yep. No-sleep-Lisa, that's who I'll be! It always takes a day or two before the consequences kick in... Oh well! It was worth it! Because FFX is uuu~uuuuber 1337!

Let me be a little more comprehensible. First thing: In-game graphics. AiYAH! I personally think Tidus is more gorgeous in the actual gameplay graphics than in the CG sequences. o_O And damn, is he gorgeous... But yah. Anyways. The shading, detail, colors, facial expressions, and body movements for every one of the characters is beautifully done, which makes the scenes where the characters interact with each other much more believable and touching than back in the PS1 days. The facial expression engine they use for the game is uuuber-1337; it's subtle, effective, and realistic. Especially in the eyes. And even the voices add to the game, a LOT, despite my initial wariness of the dubbed version. I absolutely adore Tidus' voice, and it's quite a pleasure to have him narrating the story. He's expressive, goof-bally, and just what I'd imagine Tidus to sound like, from what I know Tidus' character to be. ^^;; Oh yes, speaking of characters! I love all of them! ^0^ The characterization of every character is well thought-out and executed, as good as in some of the better books I've read. I'm starting to become somewhat peeved at Wakka, as I've always been peeved by people who stubbornly stick to everything their religion teaches without question, and more, expects everyone else to do exactly the same. I'm especially annoyed by the way he treated Rikku after he discovered she was an Al-Bhed. >_< Don't get me wrong. I love Wakka. He's a fun, energetic, spontaneous guy (with a fetching accent, of course). I liked him without reservation until he started ranting about how they had to follow the teachings of Yevon to the letter, and if they did their sins would be forgiven and Sin would go away, etc.etc. It is, of course, true, because Yevon said so. End of discussion. >_< I suppose I should admire his faith, but I've always been a skeptic, always will. People who believe without question frustrate me, because it's useless to argue with them; in the end, it all comes down to faith. Which they have, and I don't. Impasse. Agnosticism for me! So yeah, I like Wakka, but he bugs me a little. ^^;; And all of this is why I REALLY like Rikku. She has, like, exactly the same mindset I do. o_O Well, not really, but I soooo cheer her on everytime it comes to something between her and Wakka. But that's just me. ^^;; I'm actually a minority, when you take the entire world into consideration...

How did this become a rant about religion? BACK to the subject! The scenery in the game ALONE would make me go back and play the entire thing again. o_O After I finish it the first time of course; only about halfway through right now. I think. Anyways! Every environment is lush and picturesque, even if it's a desert. ^^;; From modern Zanarkand to "tribal" Besaid (Kix: ^_~) to the jungles to the forests to the iceplanes to the Moonflow (^0^) to the fields to the ocean to the desert... Some parts, I was like, WHOA! That forest is soooo Lothlorien from LoTR! And THAT forest is just as I'd imagine a forest in a fantasy book to look like! Say what you will; lush, realistic background basically MAKE the atmosphere of the game. 8-bit RPG's were fun, but they were games, and you could never forget that. FFX was REAL; you could truly imagine yourself there, among the gently waving grasses of the field or in the soft dunes of the desert. Or the WATER!! Don't even get me started on the WATER in FFX! Ocean, or river, or pond, or waterfall; all gorgeous and realistic. Egad, I can't even desribe it anymore. >_< Stopping rant on FFX now. ^_^

One last comment (promise!): I like the storyline. There, I said it. It provides enough to me to keep me wondering, without confusing me with random and needless plotpoints. It feels like a well-plotted epic-fantasy series; there's political intrigue, a powerful church with both respectable, selfless members and disrespectable, ruthless members; there's a string of events that climax at certain points, like that confrontation of the Crusaders and the Al-Bhed with Sin, and then the plot falls and build up again to another, connected climax. I'm reading Kate Elliot's books right now; the church in Kate Elliot's books reminded me in certain respects of FFX's. Not in its beliefs or anything, but in its inner workings. It's very interesting. I was also got some flashbacks of more innocuous fantasy books in the way the company of Summoner and Guardians interacted. It wasn't generic; it was real, not too smooth and not to rocky. I could go on making connections, but I promised this to be my last point, so I'll stop now. ^^;;

I figured out what I'm doing for the Egg Drop project! ^0^ w00t!! Or as my father put it, the "Descending Egg Project." Sounds much more impressive, no? Anyways, I have much homework I must do in the next three days. I shall go work on that homework. Meanwhile, I must finish reading Kate Elliot's Child of Flame (the next book in the series). The events of the last several days have, unfortunately, distracted me from it. ^^;; So I must go now. I think I better sleep, or I'll regret it tomorrow. ^^;; Later!

Currently, Lisa is:
...reading Child of Flame by Kate Elliot
...playing Final Fantasy X (don't know when I'll have the chance to finish it...;_:)
...obessing over the following bishies: Legolas from the LoTR movie, Nash from Suikogaiden (thanks for lending me the artbook, Kix! ^0^ Actually, you probably didn't mean to leave it at my house... Oh well. I'll give it back to you Monday when we get back. ^_^)
...wondering why she isn't sleeping like she intended to

np: Dajil by Yasunori Mitsuda

Dumdedum... It's the New Year! I stayed up till 3:30AM today. o_O Tiring. Last night/this morning was very tiring. But fun! I think. It's kinda hazy right now. I think near the end my brain was totally fried. ^^;; That would be the reason I avoid all-nighters (or ever 1AM nighters) like the plague. At around 1AM, my brain shuts down and it's pretty much lost to me. ^^;; So, what exactly did I do last night? .....let me think about that a minute. ......Okay! I guess we better start at 6:00PM or so, when I got a call from Patrick. I ~was~ planning on being anti-social New Years Eve. I just wanted to sit on the couch and watch Cirque de Soleil reruns. Or maybe I'd finish reading Conrad's Heart of Darkness for Lit AP. (I actually did end up finishing it New Years Eve...err, morning....but that's besides the point.) Anyways! Patrick called, suggested a last-minute Robotics get-together. After my brain tumbled that around a little bit, I offered my house for said get-together, and I found myself with a number of guests at 8:30: Matt, Patrick, and Jen. ^0^ Catherine arrived later. What, exactly, did we do until midnight you ask? Interesting question. We played Bouncer on versus mode for like, 3 hours. X3 That is such a fecking good multiplayer game! We loved Mugetsu. Much. I can't even describe him, except as "freak"! But in a good way. ^_^ Little girl Dominique throwing people across the room (one-armed) had its moments as well. X3 And don't get me started on Kaldea! That panther is uber-1337. 0_0 Fighting as a panther (who changes into a woman, and a very scantily dressed woman at that if you have enough players playing Kaldea >_<) is helluva lot more fun than playing as a panda (tekken!). ^_~ Even though I love pandas. But pandas are too cute to really inspire any fear. Anyways, Bouncer was much fun. ^_^ We were, however, interrupted at around 9 or so by a jumble of my other friends. Let me list the guilty now: Amanda, Melissa, Sarah, Saara, Jaewan, Parinda, Becka, and someone else I don't know the name of. They shall live in infamy. They... >_< Egad! Let's just say they have ideas about certain people I spend my time with... And they wanted to stop by. To "check up on me". Well, I did tell them they could stop by if they wanted to, when they called to remind me that I promised to be at a New Year's party at Saara's house; that I had honestly forgotten about. ^^;; Hey, it was the week before school ended, did they really expect my brain to be functional? Anyways. I ~did~ tell them they could stop by, but I didn't think they actually WOULD. >_< They have "ideas", which they are not afraid to express. And they have no modesty either. They suck. I told them so. They giggled. They have NO shame.

Thankfully, they left to do mischief elsewhere.

Okay, now that I've utterly confused everyone! After the countdown, we watched the Matrix, and after that, we played Smash Brothers, Goldeneye, and Perfect Dark until 3:30 in the morning. >_< No wonder I was tired.

I made that sound incredibly boring. It wasn't boring. It was HELLA fun. Especially since we were in the projector room, with the hella big screen and the uber-1337 speakers and the PS2 and N64 hookup. Not to mention ice cream. Lotsa ice cream. And donuts! ^0^ We were laughing are a$$es off. (EVERYTIME Mugetsu played dead. And EVERYTIME Dominque threw someone across the room. X3) Oof. That was very different. Never spend New Years Eve quite like that before...

Other news! Finally managed to get my paws on Hikaru no Go Episode 2. X3X3 Ohohohoho!! And I learned how to play Go too. X3 I suck, make no mistake. I can only beat the simplest of computer opponents, and I don't know any people who play Go, so human adversaries are out of the question. But I ~AM~ learning, so I knew the hell the instructor-guy was talking about in the episode. ^^;; Komi? 'Kay. Atari? Understood. But the strategies they talked about were waa~aay over my head. ^^;; I'm better at chess... But I haven't been playing Go very long (a day). So I don't feel too bad about my suckageness. ^^ Hee. Oh, and I downloaded Fruits Basket 10 too! Ooh, Hatsuharu! Another absolutely cool character!! X3 Fruits Basket has a monopoly on those. The only character introduced so far that I haven't really liked (didn't really dislike like her either, though) was Kagura, and only because I don't understand her motivations. At all. At least I understand Hatsuharu. ^0^ And he's such a sweetie! Well, when he's not Black Hatsuharu. But whatever. His relationship with Yuki is sweet. ^_^ Not for the reasons you'd think, either. Yes, I like shounen-ai, shounen-ai gives me the happyhappywarmnfuzzy feeling, but I don't see it in their relationship, really. What! you gasp. Okay, outwardly I thought, maybe. But really....no. I'm rambling. Time to shut my trap.

Ooh, I like this song. I didn't even know I had it on my harddrive. o_O "Let There by Light". It's techno Bible-reading! ^0^ I'm not kidding you. I know enough about Christianity to recognize the Creation passages. Now, the question is, where the heck did I get this mp3 from? o_O It was just sitting on my harddrive for who knows how long... Hmm. Interesting. Yeah, anyways! I ramble once more! Let me talk about Fry's. Fry's Electronics. Yes, Nerdville. Or more precisely, the nerd's Mecca. I love Fry's. It provides me with everything I need. *_* EVERYTHING I tell you! DVD's! Books! Software! Hardware! Appliances! Laser pointers! Even a coffee shop! ^0^ It doesn't quite rival a bookstore for the homey feeling, but it's close. Ah, nerd-dom. Anyways, went to Fry's...yesterday? Day before? Crap, it's vacation and I'm losing track of time. >_< Oh well. Anyways, went to Fry's, got hella 1337 stuff. X3 Of note is Lynn Flewellyn's new book, The Bone Doll's Twin, Robin Hobb's recently to paperback book Ship of Destiny, and even the Lord of the Rings Movie Guide! ^0^ WA~AIII!! Go Fry~y's!!

Oh, I have to bring this up, randomly. Has anyone out there read Silver Hero? I randomly saw it went I went to the place I rent Chinese manga from, and I picked it up immediately. I love it. But there are no sites on it. ANYWHERE. Not in Japanese, not in English. There is merchandise, though. The clearfile looks very pretty....mmm.... But yeah! I don't know who the artist is, because the translation from Chinese to Japanese wouldn't really work... But if you read it...tell me? ;_; I can't believe there's no sites on it anywhere.... Maybe I'll make one myself... I wish I could find an appropriate picture from the manga for a pitas layout. >_<

Oh! Speaking of layouts, my parents say I can buy a domain name and webspace for my website anytime I want! ^0^ Belated Christmas present. ^_^ Soo~ooo cool! I can finally put up mp3s and stuff like that! And built layouts that don't have those uncouth distractions called "banners" and "popups." >_< YAY! ^_~ But I suck at building nice webpages. ;_; Oh well! I'll have plenty of time to think of that second semester! X3 SECOND SEMESTER SENIOR, DUUDE!!! Time to CG! And I can sleep through classes with a (relatively) clean conscience. ^0^ Laalaalaaaaa......

CG club meeting tomorrow! X3 Ith going to be a sleepover. With FFX for company. X3X3 Ooh, uber-fun!! Play FFX on da BIG screen!! XD Thursday, dunno what we'll do. Maybe we'll bake cookies again. ^_^ Truly "Cooking and Gaming Club!" (What, you thought CG stood for computer graphics? ...okay, that's officially what it is. But we warped it. Now, we cook and we game at CG club meetings. X3) lalalaaa~aaaaa... hmm. I should do more homework. Eggdrop. >_< Noo~ooo, not the eggdrop! (sigh) I've rambled too long about absolutely nothing. So long! Farewell! Au vede...ah, screw that. Later!
