Meep. Reading a 42 page excerpt about how Fans are productive in society even though some of them smell, have no social life, and write x-rated Star Wars fiction. Oh, but they're not alllll bad *laugh* Most of them have rather normal lives, become active participants in the construction and circulation of textual meanings, point out unrealized possibilities within works, become particularly active and vocal in a community of consumers, and... well I'm only on page 16 out of 42 so I'll figure out the end of that sentence later. I absolutely love how the first part of the paper makes fun of Trekkies though and William Shatners disdain for them *bwahahaha*
Now for the real part of this post *_* From Lisa's LJ post *laugh* I'm just going to bold the ones that aren't true or you'd be seeing a lot of blobby text =X
You Know You're Asian If...
1. Your mother has a short-haired, curly perm.
2. Your dad is some sort of engineer.
3. Your parents still tried to get you into places half-price saying you

4. You ask your parents help on one math problem and 2 hours later they're

ancestors were from. (/swt, but i am D:)
8. You've had a bowl haircut at one point in your life. (*cough* when i was a babe :3)
9. Your parents enjoy comparing you to their friends' kids. (hate *_*!)
10. You've had to sit through karaoke videos with scantily clad, ugly Asian
women attempting to dance and walk around a temple, forest, or library. (ahahaha, i think i bring that on myself... T_T)
11. Your parents say, "Don't forget your heritage." (more like bringing out the family tree =X)
12. You drive mostly Japanese cars. (in our family yes! but hey, my dad recently got a german one...!)
13. You've learned to keep bargaining even if the prices are rock bottom.
14. You've had to eat parts of animals they don't even put in hot dogs. (oh gawd, only twice! i've become very perceptive *_*)

21. Idiot people try to impress you with pathetic imitation Asian languages,
like the ever-so-popular: ching chong woo bok chi, etc... (=_=;; this includes my dad trying to speak japanese... oh! and someone in my math class asking me to teach him how to say "chinese ppl suck" in japanese... when i'm chinese?!)
22. Your parents say leaving rice in your bowl is a sin (not so much anymore..)
23. The Bio lectures on marine life (seaweed, sea cucumbers, octopii) was
last night's dinner. (h8 seafood =X)
24. Your ancestors 1000 generations back invented the back scratcher.
25. At least one family member wears black wire/plastic frame glasses.
26. Your parents hover over your tired, caffeine-drugged body at 12 midnight to say, "In Korea (or other native country), we studied even more." (well... they do it every other time of the day.. but sleep at midnight)
27. Your parents expect you'll be best friends with any one off the street
in any given area as long as they are Asian. (and have a 4.0+ please T_T!)
28. An Asian woman comes on campus and people ask: "Is that your mother?"
Well then, "Is it your sister?" (60% of my school was/is asian *_*)
29. Your relatives' houses smell like incense, mothballs or both. (oh gawd T_T)
30. Your parents say, "Calculus? I took Calculus in 8th grade!"
31. Everyone thinks you're good at math.
32. Your parents' vocabulary is filled with "ai-yahs, and Wah's."

lime green. (note: lack of gifts ;_;)
36. Your parents insist you marry within your race. (mmm my mom changes her mind between asians and caucasians daily though)

of oriental food. (more like i've never had a chance to eat it..? :O)

glasses. (my family is lucky ^_^)

melody...? - 06:25 p.m.
*blink* I... think my brother's friend knows melody...? I remember last year he said his friend (who went to the same voice training school as Utada Hikaru) was going to debut soon under a smaller record label. melody is under Toy's Factory (which is fairly small), and was born in Hawaii (where he is from). She's also the same age as him. He told me this Dec 2002, and melody debuted in Feb 2003 soo~~~ Who knows? O_o?!
Anyhow, now I have her CD *laugh* My CDs came today and so I'm really really happy ^_^ New music to listen to while I study... 3.5 days until my first final!!! *dies*

Woahhhh *_* The new iRO website is reallly nice XD I know it looks like the korean one, but it's sooo much nicer than before. I love it :D!! television *heart* - 05:25 p.m.
Yayy~~ Back from class early today ^_^!! By a whole hour because the teacher wasn't there and we were just watching screenings for film studies! Lalala, so happy~ When I first went to class it was so hot and I wished I wore a skirt (tommorow!)
So today I went to class early and got my drop forms (Going to drop statistics because I missed too much class. I have no idea what's going on *_*) I met my friend Maggy in the back (thank god for air conditioning XD) and we had to watch the Cosby show for our essays due next week. It was sorta boring but funny.... I guess? *laugh* Then we had to "analyze" how HBO is different from mainstream television and got to see Soprano's and Sex in the City. I could write a whole page on how they were different from regular TV, but mostly it's just cussing and a lot of sexual terms X3 The Soprano's I didn't know much about but it was OOOoookay. Sex In The City was hilarious and I like it a lot. It's like ---
*** INSERT CUTE GIRL SQUEALING *** Ahhhhh~~ Phi got a new mouse and he's soooo adorable!!! He's making his bed right now out of some cotton balls and he's so cute and small and light and loves to run around ahhhhhhh~~~~~~~!!!!!!
*cough* But yeah, so even though it has sooo man sexual references it's like a little self contained chick flick. Haha. So I came back home content since TV always inspired me to work hard and enjoy life. I guess I haven't been watching much of it lately (too much RO ;_;). Phi also brought an extension cord from home so we can finally use the TV that's in the room closet (right across from my bed XD).
Right now just staring out the window at the sunset *happy sigh* Yay for game music! Yay for gameboys~ I might get some old games for it again. Since I just bought CDs I'm on my spending spree again. My new atm/check card came in too ^_^ Wow! It lasts until Feb 2008 X_x!! I can't even imagine being alive then~
Boooop! So I was wondering about PMS too! I'm beginning to think that PMS /= bitchy :O! It's PMS = emotional = stress = bitchy~ So some people can handle it well? Hehe, although I get emotional when I do too ;O Makes me cry sometimes ^_^ ♥♥♥ ::stares at mouse:: ... damn, so cute.

So maybe it's because I'm slow but the BT's for Koda Kumi and ZONE's new album ended before I could finish downloading *laugh* Oh well! I already had them in my shopping cart at Yesasia. So happy happy happy *sparkles* because I ordered Koda Kumi's feel your mind, ZONE's N, melody's sincerly, and S.H.E.'s magical journey :D 4 new cds to listen to~ As if I don't download enough music as is... *pukes* ♥
Phi-chan was also nice enough to lend me her camera to take piccies of my desktop XD I always thought it was small because it's only about 20" x 30" or so... But I had to really scoot back to take those pictures *_* I forgot flash too XD!! So you can't see my Nacchi or FukaKyon calendars at all ;_; And... I was playing RO at the time (I know! nummy nummy in my tummy - 07:53 p.m.
*_* No more sleeping late on Thursdays. I was soo tired today from waking up at 8am. I napped till 5pm ^_^;; Then today Kevin's parents were visiting so we went out to Claim Jumpers. Gee golly, I've been going out to dinner with so many people's parents. Anyhow, I got the nachos (which I reallllly couldn't finish X_x) and some of their BBQ ribs which were nummy :3 Kev also let me try his apple cinnamon muffin which was probably the best part of the meal *_* MmmMmMm baked goods ♥ So no more food for me tonight please~
*laugh* This also makes me uber inspired/in awe!! Such a CUUUUTE priest picture. I feel like such a slacker on drawing T_T I've started uphaul of Melon Pan... maybe this weekend... I'm almost lvl 93 in RO now *dies. I should really break more... even though I took a week break during midterms and 3 weeks during winter break :O? Hehehe, there's so much to catch up on, but nothing really worth mentioning *cry. The new Tsunku CD is really good *_* I d/led it though (lol, no money for CDs!) *cry to Natcchi graduating from Morning Musume (but I got her new album :D Pretty!). Saw Kimi wa Pet (japanese drama) a month ago or so and it's realllly good~ I can't wait to buy the DVDs when I save up ^^; *thinks* So news from a long time ago. I got my MD player (it's orange *heart*) and went to Vegas for Christmas 2003. Not many piccies =X But here are some :D
