*dehydrates as she types*
This weather is insane. I went out with my dad to his workshop, entered a restaurant for a little less than fifteen minutes, exited, and fried in the oven that was the car. >_< Ever been burnt by a leather seat before? Well, it isn't very nice. *sweats* Selangor isn't a major hot spot for nothing, I suppose... though I doubt it'll beat Johor (240 in the past two weeks!). I saw a grand total of FIVE bush fires on today's drive! ... Okay, what I saw were the _razed_ areas of where the bush fires were, and a few that were still smoking. I'd probably have seen more if I hadn't been half-asleep from boredom. However, there WAS this reaaaally smoky _active_ fire that puffed out a whole lotta _black_ smoke about a hundred and fifty meters from the workshop (where i sat waiting for my dad to finish an emergency order; ... leaking oil...). o_O;; Some weird 991 kecemasan van and a fire engine were sitting parked in front of the lot. We didn't really get a good view, cause there was too much... well, smoke. Lasted for about half an hour; for some reason they didn't get to put it out earlier. @_@ Killer, this. All the grass in the neighbourhood has, or is turning brown. I'm not kidding! Come to think of it, it last rained about three or four weeks ago, which would account for this heat wave, I guess. Urgh. *curses El Nino*

Mmm... I went to my uncle's house for dinner again yesterday. Shepherd pie, English pie, fish curry, more chicken... *drools* Meals like that I can do with every day. Played chess too... I narrowly won my match against Jimmy! =DD Then watched as my uncle decimated 'im in english and chinese chess. o_O Scary... but very entertaining! *cackles evilly*
I've only recently started playing FF3 again (again!)... Celes goes whenever I can have her in my party. She's my favourite female game character. Oddly, I'm sort of prejudiced against Terra, even though I like her just fine. *ponders* I can't seem to stand having her in battle even though I find her an... obligatory character when I have to choose members for a team. Locke's my fav male in the game too. ^_^ On the matter of characters... I've looked at my favourites list. There are WAY too many of them. *sweats* Perhaps I should narrow it down a little to only the ones I obsess most over. Yup. Going now to do so. And Ying! Course I won't forget!! *gripes* Didn't I say you'd get it for sure? Now there's only so much time left remaining for you in Malaysia. *sighs deeply*

Pigged out at my family's Chinese New Year reunion dinner yesterday, at my uncle's. There was great food! Grilled chicken, spare ribs, apple pie, fish bladder soup... yum... with a nice beeeeg ice cream cake with peaches, cherries and kiwi fruit on top too! I think I gained a few pounds. My cousins were there as well. Jackie's a giant now! *goes somewhere to hide* Anyway, ang pau overhaul was good. ^_______________^ Who doesn't love this festival? Later on we went outside to light some fireworks. Those sparklers hurt. o_o Unusual. But we didn't just sweat it out with our mediocre display, cause I think we were too busy watching others at it. There was this really big explosion of sparks perhaps a kilometer or so away, which lasted about a minute. It actually drew the talking adults in the garden out. It was LOUD. I think they must have gone deaf over there. Returned home at around one or so... we waited for the clock to hit twelve. While I watched a rerun of LOTR on my second cousin's VCD. =D
Oh, and Al, received your email. *sighs in relief* That's good to hear. Cheer up! Lots of things to do in the world. Can't just dwell on stuff. Things will calm down sooner or later.

A WHITE Dragon Lies Beneath!
I took the Inner Dragon online quiz and found out I am a White Dragon on the inside. If there ever was an apparition of balance, power and reclusive intelligence, my Inner Dragon is it. Whites are a fairly common dragon and are considered one of two harmonious dragons. My anti-thesis is the evil Black Dragon.
My Inner Dragon likes to think things out, plot against enemies, and look down upon the world from the highest mountain peaks. My favorable attributes are the Day, the Sun, truth, a positive attitude, and helpful magic. Humans only need fear me when they stray into my domain without proper tribute. Of course, that tribute would probably be a cake the size of a Volkswagen, but hey, if they wanted to move through my turf they should have brought it, right? If someone ever really wanted a fight I'd be an impressive opponent, considering I pack a breath weapon combination of Fire and Lightning. Even the nicest dragons can do some serious damage.
Happy Chinese New Year to everyone out there!

O wretched one, why cry the light
For there is but darkness where those are fallen
Eternity in shadowed song
Raging fire in silent hearts
There, sweet voices sing unreached
Here, agony rules this empty play
While biting cold seeps the days away
For bitter are the faded years
And alone this crumbled path is walked
Tears burn
and joy aches
or is it the tender hope of one lived of pain
what none can hear, for dust to find?

Okay, ignore that. Just working something off. Ying, those close interested, here it is. A normal day, I made headway into the book I'm currently reading. o_O She _sounds_ sane enough while dictating her story...
A few observations about FFX's characters I've never decided to bring up since I don't know a thing about the game yet:
1. Auron looks unhealthily like Cid in undercover disguise.
2. Lulu is a cross between Quistis and Edea from FF8. *I'm serious!*
3. RIKKU appears to be a cross between Yuffie and Selphie.*someone far back screams in terror* We can but pray this isn't the case.
4. Tidus is like one of those volleyball players you see hanging off beaches.
5. OT: Someone, please, please tell me that ridiculous rumour about Kimahri being Yuna's dad is false, or I'll never look at her the same way again.O_O
All I've managed to glean from FFX (somewhat unwillingly) is that it's going to be tragic. Heartbreaking even. And Suikoden 3's coming up this year too. *twitches* Curse the day I ever heard of a PS2! *goes off to sulk*

Black
Your color is black. The color of night. Serene and mysterious, black conjures up images of elegant evening gowns, dashing tuxedos, and gleaming limousines. Traditionally a symbol of success, black also represents power and an uncompromising demand for perfection. Not surprisingly, you tend to set challenging goals for yourself and do whatever it takes to achieve them — your strength of character is second to none. This unfaltering determination, along with your natural elegance, impresses people. But keep in mind that your personality might be intimidating to some. Try to temper your demanding side with a little softness — trust us, it won't kill you. Overall, though, black is the color of professionalism and achievement, which means it's clearly the color for you.
... uhuh. Riiiiight.
129 is your Ultimate IQ score.
Your Intellectual Type is a Visual Mathematician.
Interesting...
Like Albert Einstein, you have a strong ability to process visual-spatial and mathematical information. These skills combined with your strengths in logic are what make you a visual mathematician.
You're able to understand patterns visually and in numbers. That means your mind can create a mental picture for any problem. In addition to that skill, you possess an intelligence that allows you to apply math to that picture, too. That helps you manipulate multiple parts of the picture (or problem) to come up with a solution.
You have many skills that are critical to success and problem-solving. Your talents help you understand the "big picture," which is partly why people may turn to you for direction — especially in the workplace. You flourish in environments where tasks are clearly defined, and you are a whiz at improving processes and making things more efficient. Given your ability to detect patterns and your skills in math and logic, it would be natural for you to come up with ideas that simplify processes for everyone.
O_o;;
Go here for the tests.

*oooooooooof*
Back. Side aches. Side _really_ aches. I'm so horribly out of shape it's not even funny. *wails* Why can't Selangor have the MPSJ meet sometime in April? Like KL does for their own athletes? Early March is _so_ soon. I just bet the other schools *thinks of Seafield/Methodist Church and shudders* have been preparing since last year. They really fought it out last year at the MPPJ stage.
I think I'll probably go for 100m and long jump again. It would be nice to get something better than silver for the latter (fat chance), but there are some reeeeaaaally good leapers there. I'm always knocked out in the 100m finals in high stages somehow. Even if fifth/fourth isn't so bad... the distance from the first runner is usually like... well...*takes a ten metre ladder and waves it about*
Though yesterday in a really scary conversation, I have learned that the cousin (who is in the Bukit Jalil School for Sports or something similiar) of an olahraga friend of mine got third in the MSSM (Malaysia) 100m track event clocking a 12.2 seconds last year. Her fastest time yet is 11.2. *dies* And she's thirteen this year! She ran in an Under-15 category too. *mumblemumble* Would that she hadn't signed a contract with SMK Bukit Jalil she would be in SMK USJ 13 now. Sigh.
You're a sullen, quiet kind of guy, until someone annoys you then there goes your short fuse! You're ruggedly good-looking and talented (at music, particularly), so you're virtually an idol and popular with the opposite sex, but you probably couldn't care less about that now, could you? Which Insane Bishounen are YOU? brought to you by angel rising |
*stifles a laugh* I suppose I can be sullen after being furious. I hate annoying people when they go too far too. But everything else? *Uh.....*
Just as a note, my second closest match was the same as Ying's closest one. o_O

Ol' JRR Tolkien's never had such a rowdy time in his grave on FF.Net, I'm betting. Snerk.
It rained in the evening. Actually, it's still raining, though it's slowing to a stop now. I missed more than half of Now And Then, Here And There because of it. Damn poor Astro receiving during storms. I had to dig my nails into something to keep from screaming. >< As it is I was somewhat consoled when I realised I missed nothing big. Poor Sala.
I was mistaken; there was no uniformed club choosing today, it'll be held next week instead. Whoopee. A disciplinary teacher commented rather sarcastically on a few injuries received on the stairs yesterday, and hopes nothing happens the next time. She shouldn't worry. I'm thinking everyone will be more careful in the future; they'd excuse themselves from class and stake out the lounge half an hour before. He he he.

There was a major, and I mean a MAJOR, rush down the Block B stairway in school today for games registration. Nuts... the teachers just _had_ to restrict each club to a maximum of only twenty members a form. >_< Twenty members a form! It's unbelievable! In my school, there are at least eight classes in every year, with a minimum of about thirty five students each. I was one of the lucky few who escaped a squashy fate by scuttling down seconds after the signalling bell rang at 12.30, therefore being one of the first to enter a club. ^^;; I was lucky, I heard the Permainan Dalaman places were snapped up in minutes.

I've never, ever came across an anime with the atmosphere 'Now And Then, Here And There' projects, which is now my number one favourite anime show on AXN, Gatekeepers falling in line. It is a MUST SEE for everyone who loves deep characterization and drama. That Shu fella's one extremely tough kid.
Besides that... Ying's gone off to England for her cello audition... *pulls her face into a painful smile* Good luck to her. (Though, honestly, Ying, you don't need it!! Your passing's gonna be an obvious occurence.) Anyway, pretty much nothing's been happening lately... The school curricular activities were open for registration today. I joined the English Society, which had an amazingly empty crowd smothering the teacher in charge this year compared to the last. Tomorrow, they'll go on with the clubs and... uh... I usually think PMD to be a general waste of time, but the one held this year was actually fun. Chock-full with 'pengenalan antara rakan, pemahaman diri-sendiri, peningkatan daya ingatan dengan aktiviti-aktiviti hebat belanda!' and stuff. Maybe it's got something to do with the fact that we're sitting for 'that exam' this year. Preparation and all. @_@ Look at me! It's only January and the stress is already starting! They gave us the dates too.. early year exams will be in May, mid-year exams in April, the first trial exam starts in August, with the second one in September. And the Day itself begins on the 17th of October.
...
Suddenly, I feel this given time (243 days!!) to be inadequate. Are the teachers doing this on purpose? They seem to be deliberately disclosing this information to the students to scare the crap out of us! I don't know how I'm going to cram all that I've learned and will learn into one spot when the time comes.

I am overjoyed. YES! Amazingly, my dad has renewed my AXN channel!! YES!! *calms down* The Anime programme for this month is wonderful. Gatekeepers is *cool* (I've watched Grander Musashi reruns for eternity), and Boys Be has been replaced by Strange Dawn, but I would have been happier if it hadn't been completely cut off. Sigh. The midgets are so cute, though! Overlook the seemingly personality-less/self-absorbed two human characters who make me want to scream and tear my hair out, and it turns into a very intriguing show. I also do believe that the second season of Sakura Wars will be starting soon, perhaps after a few more episodes.

The day after the movie and I'm still tingling. Whee! Now that I'm coherent, I can talk about it a bit more! Ying and me watched it, hers a second time, me first, in OU (One Utama). Nudges every time Legolas came onscreen and a lot of cowering at the freaky Galadriel. I think the director went much overboard there. But everything else was great! The scenery and atmosphere was fantastic, and though I didn't much like the plot being changed, with Arwen and all, it was still a good change! The only sour thing is that the cinema I went to cut out the titles meant to be read when they start speaking elvish, replacing it with standard subtitles. Which is why I'm going to go see it again in Sunway Pyramid, and again, an again, and again, and again...

Movie. Awesome. At a loss for words, still cooing over the very cool characters and imagery. Frodo has beautiful eyes. Aragorn is cool. Gandalf was amazing. Lady Galadriel unnerving. (For an opinion on Legolas, go check out Ying's blog =D.) And I've never felt more sympathetic towards Boromir. Go see, those who haven't already.

- The Day After Christmas -
Wow, my mom one-upped an officer of the law today! Okay, well, not exactly. Y'see, there's this little industrial area called Petaling Jaya a distance away from where I live, where evil parking tickets, pain, pain and more pain of the sort no one likes can be found without much difficulty, and in this little place there's a complex called Subang Parade, where moi likes to go on weekends to sniff out books that moi likes, dodging everything else on the way by shoving the world aside with much happiness. And next to this little personal haven, there's a shopping lot centre in the midst of much traffic and daily chaos, where one should never park in a manner that so much as turns the eye of a passing traffic cop, if one wants one's precious car to remain sitting peacefully when one returns. As unlike one Proton branded vehicle two innocent, absolutely flabbergasted civilians found in the middle of being towed away when they came back from an optic shop two minutes later. I swear, those blue caps move fast! We ended up making a liddle trip by taxi to the MPSJ stadium to get the car released. A hundred and thiry bucks! What a waste, I tell you. At least the driver was kind enough to wait after we were done making the payment to bring us to the lot they sent the friggin car. And when we arrived, no, they couldn't not let us have the friggin Satria with simple procedures, they had to see more friggin identification! Yes, it WOULD'VE been the right thing to turn right back around and make the whole friggin trip back to Kota Kemuning to get the friggin ID and driving licence that was rather inconveniently friggin left behind, but honestly, would YOU have wanted to do that? Anyway, a lot of ruckus was raised when a hothead with a similiar plight joined in, but we walked away truimphant with the car. Sheesh. Police officers really shouldn't lose their tempers like that. It kinda upsets the balance of things.
On a more pleasant note, I'm going with Ying to watch LotR on Saturday! YES! If it's as good as they say it is, I'll even watch it again!

I didn't actually have time to browse all I want, but I got off with a new book! By Bernard Cornwell, an excellent writer. And lookie here! Found this website at Ying's blog, and took the test. Was cool.

I've just finished watching Sakura Wars, which is a rather interesting anime from what I've seen of it so far. Those armour, though! Couldn't the designers have thought up something... uh, taller? Anyway, I still think it's cool!
Besides that, Boys Be is great! It's nice that AXN hasn't given up anime just yet, and that they're replaying You're Under Arrest *YES!*, but I wish they were still showing Rurouni Kenshin. *Soujirouuuuu....* They never even got to the ending of the Kyoto Arc before they replayed it! *sulks*
Truth be told, I'm supposed to be in Singapore right now, but the trip was canceled 'cause a family member's passport expired a month or so back and was somehow overlooked. Not that I mind, really. I suppose Christmas Eve and the Day itself would have been more enjoyable there with my aunt and all, but it doesn't really matter since it will probably be the same here.

Does the text not look too small to non-existent viewers? I'm wondering about that, having taken the time to actually look at my page and ending up with aching eyes, but I am just too lazy to go about changing the atrocious HTML. Ehe.
Noon time now, got up an hour or so ago and checked out my friend Ying's blog, 'Drowning In Sunshine', which is rightfully named. (I'M reading, Ying, I'M reading! No fear, no fear!) Go there, it's bright, bright, bright! Bound to brighten up any rainy day!
Yesterday, my little (second in line, two years behind) bro went to watch 'Lord Of The Rings', and he said it was, to quote 'the best'. Man, it has to be wonderful if he found it good . I want to watch it! I really want to watch it! Hey Ying! Maybe we'll organize some sort of movie trip next weekend or something? Last few days remaining of the holidays might as well be made enjoyable...

- ! "S'alive! S'alive!!" ! (Barely?) -
Whee... if I hadn't been gone from here long, where the heck have you been these past two months? Anyway, writing this little message to say that I've updated my info, which is VERY out of date. And at one a.m. too... well, no one can say I lead a very scheduled life. Adios!

- Pains -
My baby brother's being a major pain in the neck. He's been screaming his head off in the garden, acting like a lunatic straight out of a mental ward, ever since we got back from Taipan (No, not THAT Taipan). All because we aren't letting him go over to the little kid's house half a block away. I'm just happy I'm so quiet it's enough to convince my neighbours I don't exist. We do get a few stares sometimes. Ugh.

- Hey, Ying! -
This makes you the second person to know about this thing. I only made it to make it easier for you to note what I do with my life around here, which is actually pretty much nothing. ^^
Merry, we are, aye indeed!

- Whoopee! -
Finally!! Finally fixed the problem... it was actually kinda obvious... (is embarassed). Anyway, I've still got a couple of things I have to move about. *goes off to HTML somemore*

- Gah... -
That's it. I've been sitting here for half an hour trying to figure out how to stop the logs from piling up and pushing the table to the left downwards. I'm going to halt here for today.

*waves madly*
Hey, Al!! Can you read this? You're the only one I've told about this thing so far, so I suppose so. ^^
Am still messing with the format, so things will be literally flying about in the next few days. I've yet to find a proper image for the top... my HTML's not that great yet either.

Making some minor adjustments before I set off to school. Heh.

The layout isn't so bad... I'm going to keep on experimenting on it throughout the week.
Eep. Look at the time. Been up long enough, I suppose. G'night, those unfortunate enough to have somehow stumbled upon this art of monstrosity. ^_-

- First Log -
Hmm. I started this blog for the heck of it, but now I'm not so sure if I want to keep it. Ah well, we'll see where it goes.
