Want Tagalog?
I just wanted to get an e-mail out to all of you while enrollment windows are still opening to notify you that UCI is offering an introductory Tagalog course this coming school year and encourage you to enroll. The class will be offered Mondays and Wednesdays from 11:00a.m.-12:50p.m., and on Fridays from 12:00p.m.-12:50p.m.

The class is offered through UCLA and requires you to fill out a "Simultaneous Enrollment Application". Because it is different from other classes, I believe you will need an access code to sign up through web reg. It is really easy.

If any of you are interested, download the "Simultaneous Enrollment Application" from http://www.reg.uci.edu/registrar/services/simultaneous.pdf , fill it out, and contact Marbell Davidson in HIB 150 to get the access code. There are more detailed instructions at the WebSOC schedule of classes website where you search for your classes.

If you have any questions feel free to contact me.

COME SUPPORT FELLOW KABABAYAN, ALLAN LAINO
"As a music major, one of my graduation requirements is to prepare a senior project to present to the public. I've been working all year on a lecture/recital on Philippine kundiman, a classical song form. People don't usually choose to do lectures because they'd rather just perform music, but I've used this as an opportunity to present something of my own culture. We never hear anything about Philippine culture in the music department, not to mention the lack of representation on this campus in general. I really hope that my presentation can make some sort of impact. Please, if you have the time, try to make it out next week." Here are the details:
