evidently the guy from Witt and Wisdom and I were born on the same day. His post yesterday was just GREAT. it's about ache, and it just blew me away. It so fits with my whole your-past-makes-you-who-you-are philosophy. you can't regret the bad stuff that happens, but you can't forget it either. It's a fine line to walk and i think it's tread beautifully here.

i feel like the last couple months i've been living in a dreamy haze. Everything was just bleh. There weren't any high high's or extremely low low's. Life was just there. This can probably be attributed to too much smoke and alcohol, or maybe not having a job, or a boyfriend or any prospects for either. I was just kind of waiting around for life to get back on track. well i guess i waited long enough because now i can really feel the blood coursing through my veins. I'm back, and better than ever. Maybe it's the new job which is going fabulously or the birthday party i'm planning for this weekend. boy prospects are changing; well at least my perspective on them are changing. i'm not going to analyze it to much, instead i'm just going to celebrate that fact that the smoke has cleared and my hazy days of mediocrity are over.

Seen on the corner of N. Lamar and Rundberg at 7:20 this morning - A dancing dalmation with a sign around it's neck doing the 70's disco, John Travolta move. I can only assume that the sign was advertising something, but the lettering was to small to read it. So instead of associating this dancing puppy with whatever establishment paid the poor person to humble themselves - I couldn't help but think of the little golden book "the pokey little puppy". i wonder if the pokey little puppy had to get a job dancing on the side of the street after he left home?

Laundry is the bane of my existence. there’s nothing I dislike more than doing laundry. The procrastinator in me really comes out when it’s time to wash clothes. I’ll put it off for as long as I possibly can. When it finally becomes unavoidable and I absolutely have to do laundry it ruins my entire day; in most cases it ruins several days because I have that much laundry to do. Right now my room is a disaster due to the clothes that have to be washed. Last week I made 4 piles of clothes (separated according to color) and intended to have a laundry marathon. Of course, other more important things came up and I didn’t get a chance to do laundry. I still haven’t gotten a chance, and the four distinct piles have become one thin layer across my entire floor. Clean clothes have gotten mingled in with the dirty ones and now they all have to be washed. I’m usually a very happy person, in fact my optimism and generally happy outlook on life are what I’m known for. However, the prospect of actually doing all this laundry is enough to me want to crawl in bed and not get out..............ever.

It's been forever since I've updated this page, and I can't say for sure that this is the beginning of a new chapter of regular updates, but new things are happening in my life, so I might as well make an attempt at recording them. of course I'm still stuck with the ever present issue of layout. I don't like the look of this sight. I want something different, I just don't know what. So until then I'll stick with this, but it is definitely affecting my ability to truly write with reckless abandon. Most likely this is something I'm going to have to just get over; so here goes.
What is it about tiaras that make you instantly brave? A tiara makes you want to stand up straight and enunciate. I’ve been wearing one for the past couple hours and I can’t begin to explain how much better I feel with it on. It’s the ultimate piece of jewelry. I just wish they were more acceptable for everyday wear.
I went shopping today. it was glorious. I can’t remember the last time I went shopping and found clothes that I liked and that actually looked good on me as well. I even bought a bathing suit. You have to be careful when trying on bathing suits because of the distortion factor. Its kin to when you say a word over and over again it starts to lose meaning ( bonus points for anyone who automatically thought of the friends episode with the stoned guy ). It’s the same with trying on bathing suits – the longer you stand there in front of the mirror the more you stop looking at the bathing suit and start focusing on your own body’s flaws. the bathing suit that looked good originally stops being fabulous, but that’s simply because no bathing suit can conceal everything you want it to. Bathing suits are like standardized tests, your first instinct is probably right.
I start my new job this week. I finally have what I consider a real job. no more customer service for me. I’m working for a non-profit organization to doing event coordinating. I can’t believe my luck. it’s like I’m Pinocchio but instead of a wooden nose, I’ve had wooden jobs and now the good fairy has given me a REAL job.
