Fight Tyranny

''arts and entertainment task force''--Bush's working name for a committee to link the Bush administration and the entertainment community. Check it out. Does anyone else see the problem with giving the government a direct hand in our media. Into our knock 'em sock 'em movies? Into our sad war movies, into our depressing love movies, into our very hearts through our ears and our eyes? I have no problem when a person(on his own) has fervor for his country and writes a great poem, story, rabblerouser with strong patriotic undercurrents if the feeling is sincere and not influenced by another man or a higher power(not counting the divine), let alone Goerge W. Bush. I don't give a rats ass if he's more charismatic than christ, 'cus he's dumber than a wet skunk without it's head. In my opinion, a difference between a free society and a oppressed one is the amount of control over one's life. The use of the "free and liberal" media to artificially grow national fervor is a direct attack at a beings freedom to thoughts/ freedom to feelings/ freedom to very humanity. Let's not all be little atomitons in Bush's machine. Let's not be Americans because we are told to be but rather because we believe a home spun belief in the idea of America(an ideal that i firmly support(some of the time(minus that bastard hamilton(and some other points))/). So what if the taliban is doing it? Do we say that their peoples are free? Are their woman not second class citizens(when they are counted at all) because Mullah "Muhammed"(a name that he is not wise enough to bear) says so. Should we stoop to his level? Unfortunately, i believe Mr. Bush is already their.
