Rant on god

I was up thinking last night. Many of my thoughts dwelled on the talibans declaration that they would bring the extinction of America. Why do they hate us so?

Then I heard on the news tonight that rev. billy graham's son, also a reverend, says that islam is a satanic religion and that they do not have the same god as the christians. this in it's self makes little sense, for by most accounts satan is not a god and thus if they have a different god, then they can't be satanic because satan is not a god. He says that the koran is full of war and speaks of killing infidels. This from a man who quotes the old testiment regulary/religiously. The old testiment in many places speaks of the ancient hebrews' wars with neighbors and the killing of dissenters. So the two scriptures seem similiar to me. Unfortunately, there aren't that many translated versions of the qur'an -something about avioding mistranslation- so i can't make heads or tails of his ass ertions.
Also, the bible and the qur'an both speak of an eye for an eye, but you don't see many people with missing limbs. If your going to argue religious superiority, at least know the goddamned facts.

Back to the beginning: the only mildly plausible reason for "westerners" hating muslims and "muslims" hating christians are the crusades. That dates back to the middle ages, a time when most men were serfs and slaves to their masters. Come on now people, these people took shits in the street because they had to and now we, as their descendents, are still stuck using their biased view of the world. Let's all pull our heads out of history's dust.
