Tomorrow is Dan Radcliffe's birthday (sad that I know that, isn't it?), and a bunch of fans- including me- are donating to the National Autistic Society (National being England) in his name as a birthday gift. If you're interested, you can go here.
Sorry I haven't been posting. My internet is STILL not up at my apartment *growl*, and I have been super busy at work. Still, I just wanted everyone to know I'm alive. I had a fun weekend. Ara and Amanda K. were in town to visit before they left for JET next week. I am so happy for both of them- it will be an amazing experience. *hugs* Congrats to you both! My apartment is finally unpacked! I just need to hang stuff up on the walls. I am happy with it. I woke up at 5:30 this morning to the sound of a very loud thunderstorm. It was quite beautiful, really. I had a cup of latte and just watched it. Here's a quiz I took. Big shocker, I know. XD Thanks QS for the quiz!
Oh, and here's a survey thingie I took, thanks to S.
I know, I'm REALLY creative with these post titles. I'm feeling lazy, so here's a link to my short lj entry about my trip. Also, I took one of those really long lj surveys.
Going on vacation for a week. I won't be online, just FYI. (Not that I have been much lately, thanks to my craptacular computer situation -_-.) Yay me! Off to the west coast! I've never been, so I'm excited. Everyone have a great week, and a great 4th!
Quiz of the day, thanks to Natisha!
Can you believe it's July already?! O_O *sigh* ONE of these days, I'll be able to do a proper update. My net is still down at my apartment.
I am suddenly taken back into the days when everything about the last 20 minutes of Return of the Jedi was hilarious. Yes, that's right- out of context quotes from Order of the Phoenix here. Thank you Ri for the link. *smirk* And I SWEAR I will get my OotP review up. I promise. Not that any of you care or are awaiting my opinion with bated breath. However, *I* am dying to type an insanely long and winded review. I have a lot to say about it, both good and bad, and I won't have my computer set up until late this weekend. Oh, and some quizzes, thanks to Ly!
Well, according to S, Jo finally had her baby! So... CONGRATS JO! Send me pics!! I got HP 5 on Friday night at midnight and read it straight through until I finished it on Saturday. An extensive review later when I have time, but in a nutshell there were things I LOVED about. *waves her shippy flags hopefully* And of course, there were things I didn't care for about it. But like I said... more later on that. I started my job yesterday, and so far, I think I'll like it. It's a lot to take in at once, but I'm sure I'll get used to it. I know I have been shamefully neglectful of everyone lately, and I apologize. I have been really busy. Until I move into my new apartment, I have to commute to my job, and it's 1 1/2 hours each way. >.> I'll be looking forward to moving back and having a 5 minute drive!! Hopefully, I'll get to move in later this week. Anyway, so that's my life right now. More later when I am not so crazy. ^^;
I AM EMPLOYED! *dances* I got offered a job at IU's Office of International Admissions! It's full-time, has a great salary, has great benefits... *_* I am dancing around like a moron! I'll get to be in Bloomington next year! I am so happy! One goal down, 2 to go... Now, excuse me... I have to go be content with the world. ^_^ (Shhh... don't tell- it's for today only! ^_~)
Thank you to Sans and S for time-wasting quizzes!
I hate that Friday the 13th has such a bad rap, thanks to bad movies and the Inquisition. Historically, Friday the 13th was a holy day. There's and explanation of its roots here. Ok, off my soapbox now. My job interview yesterday went pretty well, I hope. They told me that they would do call-backs next week, and they would have a final decision on the position by the end of next week. Keep your fingers crossed for me, everyone!!
I have another job interview scheduled for tomorrow. That's 2, kids. I'm glad about that. And this article is cheerful. -_- On that happy note, for some reason I'm inexplicably lonely and depressed today. I need some company, but there is none to be had.
Well, I finally got called for a job interview. Finally. After weeks of waiting. It's for IU's Office of International Admissions. I may not get the job, but at least it's a place to start, right? It's a good sign that they're starting to call me. Maybe I'll get more calls this week. Keep your fingers crossed for me, everyone! And I finally archived! It was getting kind of lengthy.

House : Gryffindor
Family : Muggle-born, both parents Muggles
Wand : willow, contains single hair from the tail of a unicorn; gentle and whispy; perfect for performing enchantments
Pet : snowy owl; gift from a secret admirer at Hogwarts; she is affectionate and reliable, but has a bad habit of eating the snacks my mother sends me in the post. I decided to name her Blodeuwedd, after the Welsh Celtic goddess of flowers, lunar mysteries, and wisdom; her symbols are the owl and the moon.
