WELCOME BACK GER!...Wednesday.July 18, 2001. 10:16 a.m.

Currently listening to: the wicked storm outside

Welcome home Ger! *hugs* Hope all went well at camp! We're glad to have you back. ^_^

I would have posted this a little later this week, but I won't have another chance to update my blog before then.

Well, we all watched the Mists of Avalon. And of course, they screwed it royally. The only redeeming quality to it was that Lancelet was incredibly sexy (Michael Vartan). The Beltane/threesome scene might have redeemed it except they completely changed the ending. That lost it for me.

I went to the doctor. I am fine, supposedly. That's good. But damn, I hate needles. They drew my blood for testing and I nearly fainted.

Well, between the elopements, pregnancies, and roommate issues, I think I'm fairly well composed. I do feel a little stagnant being stuck here in Indy while the world's falling apart elsewhere. And does anyone else think that there are more important issues in the world than the lost intern chick? I mean there are wars going on, folks! I'm sorry someone's missing, but that's all CNN has covered for like a week. *rolls eyes*

Anyway, good night everyone.

hello!...Monday.July 09, 2001. 11:21 a.m.

Currently listening to: an incredibly obnoxious Twix commercial

Nothing much going on. I'm off work for the next 2 weeks, which is nice b/c I am working on painting some of my furniture. My mom has an interview for a really big promotion this week. *cheers*

Laurelchan, I am glad you got your package. ^_^ Enjoy! I love the CCS 2 movie. It's precious.

Congrats to Kim on her new car! Yay! That's awesome.

Amanda, I am sorry about the visit thing. I am so low on money right now... ;_; I miss you!

Talk to everyone later! *hugs* Love to all!

Hey everyone- not much to report. I had some problems with my roommates for next year, but it's temporarily straightened out. Empahsis on temporarily. I have a feeling it's far from over. But I am going to Bloomington today to sign the lease and turn it in.

I went to King's Island yesterday and had an ok time. I missed you Anne-girl! I love my parents, but being the odd number in a party stinks.

Jo has moved to Minnesota, and is getting married soon. Sometimes it scares me how fast all of us are growing into adults.

Hope camp goes well Ger! Laurelchan, minna- I hope we can all chat soon. I know I've been offline for a long time, and it will probably stay that way, even next semester. But even if we don't get to chat all that much, you are all in my thoughts. Laurelchan, I hope you got the package I sent you.

Anyway, love to everyone!

>.<...Tuesday.June 19, 2001. 09:30 p.m.

Currently listening to: kick-ass storm outside

Ok, I know it's been ages since I've last blogged. I've been so stressed and so busy that I haven't had to much time to even think about it. Stuff is hectic in several areas of my life right now, esp. w/ my school friends and a few of my high school ones as well. *hugs* But no matter what I still love all of you!

I am hoping I can make it to the chat w/ all my friends online tonight. If we miss one another, I am truly sorry. Know that I tried. If we do get to talk, well then you will know I made it alright! ^_^;

Amanda, Bethany- we STILL need to work out Phantom dates. Soon. I know you're both busy (either out of town or at school), so it's not a big deal. Just a reminder.

*hugs* Love everyone, even if I am stressed out and busy.

Hey everyone!

Sorry I haven't bneen on AIM much... I've been trying, but it always turns out to be the wrong time. *sigh* I miss everyone though!

Amanda, I got your e-mail. I will write back soon. About Phantom... we can go whenever. Just let me know what you and Bethany decide.

Jules, I will e-mail you soon too, k? Hope all is going well.

I am going to try to go down to Bloomington for a few days. There is a stiuation going on, and I feel I would do better there than here. *hugs minna* Hang in there, 'k? Love you SubSub!

I talked to Mom and Dad about moving back, and if I can get my job back, then I can. I e-mailed Doris, but I probably won't get a reply until tomorrow.

Laurelchan, Ger, all my net kyodai... I love you guys! I'll try to chat soon.

Ja!

hey...May 26, 2001. 10:50 p.m.

Hey everyone. Yes, I'm alive, but slowly dying of bordem. *sighs*

A few messages to various people:

Ger, thanks for the chat the other night. I needed to feel connected to the outside world at that moment, and thank you for being there to listen. *hug*

Laurelchan, I miss you, I love you, and I hope we can talk soon. If there's anything on your mind, let me know. You can e-mail me, if you want. Oh, and is your mailing addy the same as last time I sent you a package? I need to know to send out your vid. *huggles*

S, tell your sis congrats for me. I am sorry I had to miss her graduation. *grumble* Parental units...

Amanda, can you e-mail me about Phantom? I know we haven't made plans, but... well, you know. And I miss you and Bethany! And even Jimmy. But don't tell him that. It might inflate his head more. ^_~

SubSub... I love you, and I'm behind you, no matter what. Keep faith in destiny. She won't steer you wrong. Remember that I am here when you need me, no matter what time, got it?

Ok, well hope to talk to everyone soon. *big glomp hugs* I miss you all! Please e-mail me or something so I don't completely lose my mind in my frequent bouts of internal examination. Ja!

Rant...May 21, 2001. 10:33 a.m.

Currently listening to: my teeth grinding

Ok, I am going to warn everyone: this is a rant. Those of you not interested in Harry Potter don't have to read it. Hell, no one has to read it if they don't want to.

I got an e-mail from my dad this morning, a forward (I'm not sure who forwarded it to him, but I have a suspicion it might have been my great uncle), and it pissed me off. It was written by some fucking zealot who claimed that Harry Potter is evil, promotes Satanism, etc. We've all heard it a thousand times over, ne?

This person is all "This is the most evil thing I have ever seen" and "it's brainwashing children" and "don't listen to people who say that children reading is a good thing". Yes, they actually said that. I know everyone has heard this shit repeatedly, but it just really gets on my nerves and I wanted to vent.

Oh, this had to be my favorite: "a quote from the author herself, J.K.Rowling, describing the objections of Christian reviewers to her writings- "I think it's absolute rubbish to protest children's books on the grounds that they are luring children to Satan," Rowling told a London Times reporter in a July 17 interview. "People should be praising them for that! These books guide children to an understanding that the weak, idiotic Son Of God is a living hoax who will be humiliated when the rain of fire comes ... while we, his faithful servants, laugh and cavort in victory."

.... What the fuck?!!

I have a headache. I am going away now to take drugs. *sighs* Ja ne.

La la la...May 18, 2001. 01:53 p.m.

Currently listening to: the tv going all static-y. It's annoying.

Hey everyone. Absolutely nothing is going on here. I think I hate summer vacation.

Anyway, thought I'd let everyone know I'm alive... physically, anyway.

Laurelchan, I still haven't sent out your video. >.< But I think I'm going to try to go tomorrow. I have had issues w/ car availability. (Did I spell that right?)

Amanda, what do you and Bethany think we should do about the Phantom tickets? Let me know!

S, I read your blog, and for what it's worth, I agree with you. I really do. And btw, I finished Mists, and if I have time, I'll pick up the other 2. I really liked it.

Love everyone! *hugs* Ja.

*sigh*...May 15, 2001. 10:06 a.m.

Currently listening to: a dog food commercial ^^;;

I knew I would be miserable at home this summer. Too bad that I was right. *sigh* I only have... what, 12 weeks to go?... >.<

My family is driving me insane.

Anyway, how is everyone doing? S, I am reaing The Mists of Avalon finally. It's wonderful!

Talk to everyone soon! *hugs* Love you all!

Ha ha...May 9, 2001. 10:05 a.m.

Currently listening to: Some random documentary on the History Channel

S- funny you should mention prom, because Jason went to his school's prom on Friday. ^0^ I have pics too! I'll have to scan them and post them later. They are so cute and dorky! Him and his little friends... awww... but still, I shudder to think that he's going to start looking at colleges this summer. The world is not ready for it. You're right- they're getting old. We're getting old. *sigh* Ah well.

The 56k thing is driving me nuts too, no to mention the fact that my dad has a crappy computer with one of those 'compact' keyboards. I hate the bloody thing. *grumble*

Anyway, love everyone! Hope we can all chat soon! Mata ne!

Image Song

Samain Night
Lyrics courtesy of Jos van Geffen's Lorenna McKennitt Page

When the moon on a cloud cast night
Hung above the tree tops' height
You sang me of some distant past
That made my heart beat strong and fast
Now I know I'm home at last

You offered me an eagle's wing
That to the sun I might soar and sing
And if I heard the owl's cry
Into the forest I would fly
And in its darkness find you by

And so our love's not a simple thing
Nor our truths unwavering
Like the moon's pull on the tide
Our fingers touch our hearts collide
I'll be a moon's breath by your side

I'll be a moon's breath by your side
I'll be a moon's breath by your side

Wand : willow, contains single hair from the tail of a unicorn; gentle and whispy; perfect for performing enchantments

Pet : snowy owl; gift from a secret admirer at Hogwarts; she is affectionate and reliable, but has a bad habit of eating the snacks my mother sends me in the post.
