Okies viclance is saying I am not updating... so heres 1 entry DESPITE the fact that my exams are not over yet.
So its exam period and everyone of us are studying hard. To date I cannot make it for 3 modules liao. I really hope to maintain cap for this sem (i previously always hope for increase cap). So you all can imagine how tough this sem is for mi? Okie enuff bout that.
Today I saw ocl sister. She splitting image of ocl, 1. splits ends hair, 2. sulky face, 3. boring specs, 4. brown tshirt, and finally 5. larger than life. I message cs n tau what i saw. So we started to laff and everyone joined in and laff. From this, I can really see the inherent fat discrimination in the society. Usually, before exam outside the exam hall, no matter what i say or for that matter anyone who say sthg will get ignored. However, on this topic, everyone seems interested. Even the quiet serene laff.

Today as usual i flip to the forum to read what sg pple are complaining.
Occuppied 1 page was the issue about the nepalase (or watever nation) twins who got separated in sg. Alot of pple for (mainly those handicapped/disabled/and defected in any ways) and alot of pple against (those who feel that the burden on the parents and society is too heavy). Anyhow i hope this issues end fast as its getting boring and losing interest. Also this is not the highlight of todays entry. Read on.
The next page was more interesting. Its about the PSC scholar who was shamed in national papers for being racist. This time a gek ling by the name of vashimarina geklingkia nadu (i forgot the real name stated, but who cares anyway) wrote into the forum and continue to shame the psc scholar saying she cannot stand such actions and wat not. On the other hand, this gal (who is the psc scholar fren or maybe even gf) wrote in to defend the guy and say his actions are not correct but we dun have to really shame him as thats not the main point. She said we shld ask the qn WHY? why are we so against them? why this racial disharmony. Her entry was very real.
Here are some of my thots of the gek lings (gl)
1. Because they stink? stop those coconut oils and maybe we can try accept you?
2. Filth, period.
3. From above point, they dirty the air and thus higher rate of disinfection and thus increase cost and thus a liability to the society and gahment and tax payers
4. Douglas commented that they are taking up too much oxygen.
5. A fren, whom i shall not name to protect her interest that stays near a prestigious jc near bishan, mentioned that gl are noise pollution. They vrroom vrroom their motorbikes below the block making lotsa noise that residents cant stand, particularly my fren (who stays in 2nd floor like mi). As a result my fren could not study and sleep and my fren is so worried as she needs to maintain her cap this semester in order to do her fyp. They are totally torturing her, every day, every minute, every sec. Fuck tup gls.
6. Intrinsic hedious, evil, vicious, gangster look. This point is exactly why my fren (above point) dare not confront them nor call the police (jus in case police dun allow her remain anoynomous). She might be ambushed at night, brought to some corner to gang rape her, and her life is ruined. Similar to senarios in dramas. Amen.
7. Relating to the above point, if you watch crime watch FREQUENT enough, you will notice something. Most criminals are gls, murders, rapers, robbers, among other things.
8. gls are irriatiting. For the guys, if you have been thru army, you will realise the most irritating, guai lan, loud officers, sgts, wo, are gls. I have personally encountered a fuck tup gl in my army life. This was what happened. It was a bowling family day for our unit, then there was suppose to be bowling competition but some competitors were not around. So i thot as a frenly nice obdeient private i went to help him and arrange and consolidate stuff. But as a kok up new private, i mess things up and he shouted fiercely and loudly and SHAMED mi in public with the words "FUCK YOU UNDERSTAND". Since then this pharse impregnated into my brain so much that i used it so often nowadays. So note, my vulgar actions and attitude are not by nature, but sensitised by gls. So i say, fuck you understand mother fucking gls!
9. Above point, last sentence, if you read papers frequent enough, you realise gls are indeed mother fuckers, literally. Their groups commit the highest number of incest, grandpa raping granddaughter, grandson fuck grandma back to revenge, father joins grandpa for the fun, mother goes to grandma rescue and such.
10. gls are no social values and economic values, except we need them badly to clean the places. Well as my lecturers in NUS taught mi, like with like, hydrophillic molecules with water. Same in this sense, filthy gls clear filth. Simple as that.
Okie there really alot more to list and i dun think i have much time as of now! Previous entry i mentioned that 2 things are infinite - universe and human stupidity. I make a correction now, make it 3 please. Inifity reasons as to why there is gl discriminations.
Okie thats the end of my entry today. But before I go, i would like to tell all gls out there, pls dun sue mi for slander if you are reading this. Just for laughter
Joe, a college student, was taking a course in ornithology, the study of birds. The night before the biggest test of the semester, Joe spend all night studying. He had the textbook nearly memorized. He knew his class notes backward and forward. Joe was ready.
The morning of the test, Joe entered the auditorium and took a seat in the front row. On the table in the front was a row of ten stuffed birds. Each bird had a sack covering its body, and only the legs were showing.
When class started, the professor announced that the students were to identify each bird by looking at its legs and give its common name, species, habitat, mating habits, etc. Joe looked at each of the birds' legs. They all looked the same to him. He started to get angry.
He had stayed up all night studying for this test and now he had to identify birds by their LEGS? The more he thought about the situation, the angrier he got.
Finally he reached his boiling point. He stood up, marched up to the professor's desk, crumpled up his exam paper and threw it on the desk.
"What a ridiculous test!" he told the prof.
"How could anyone tell the difference between these birds by looking at their legs? This exam is the biggest rip-off I've ever seen!"
With that, Joe turned and stormed toward the exit. The professor was a bit shocked, and it took him a moment to regain his composure.
Then, just as Joe was about to walk out the door, the prof shouted out, "Wait a minute, young man, what's your name?"
Joe turned around, pulled up his pant, showed his legs and hollered, "You tell me, prof! You tell me!"

11:49 p.m.Quite a bad run...
Im having quite a bad run these days...
Exams is nearing and i totally cant study at all... and i sleep MUCH MUCH MUCH more than usual this time round. I sleep at 11pm at night, wake up 11am in the morning, and goes back to sleep at 2 in the afternoon. Maybe its the notes, its simply too much for mi to take it.
Anyhow today I bought the cai peng below and somehow today's rice seems v hard. As such, i told the uncle to pour some sauce to wet the rice so i can eat it better. I choose the curry sotong sauce. It was a bad choice. I totally ls the whole darn day (1, 2, 3, 4 X!!!). So disgusting can. I guess i shld leave the details out so as not to disgust you guys. But im sure u all can visualise and fantasize the ls. One lucky thing is that I din choose to go school study today. Else i would have to ls at the sci lib. I have to quote jz "The thought of having to endure the stench and flushing the toilet pisses me off. The thought of having to share the same toilet seat as the unhygenic bugger pisses me off. The thought of our butt skin touching each other indirectly pisses me off". Ls at home is still more comfortable.
After my ls syndrome normalise, i went to for my usual fg tutition. Seeing her sometimes make mi feel better. I was feeling bad the whole day cos i could not study anything in, but after see my fg tutee, i noe theres always some1 lower. There are 2 things that are infinite - the universe, and human stupidity. My fg tutee is the classical personification of the latter.
Lastly another thing that made mi feel bad was the pharm analysis ca results. Not that i did badly (i din do well though) but her results had everyone name and matric number in it! As such, i found out the person that we mark for the pharmacotherapy test. Reminds mi of the bastard actions we did to that person (we penalise for her bad spelling, unclear explaination, and all these in BIG crosses). So bastardy. I need a reflection.

07:48 p.m.I was drunk.. again
It was a boring friday night when viclance msn mi and ask mi if im interested to go party in the mist of exams. After much thinking, i decided to join viclance for a good night party and so i took a cab down right after my 10.30pm interview.
Was dissappointed when i reach as there was a fucking long que. Reminds mi of double O. Viclance came out with his 2 frens angee (petite frenly gal) and eve (their da jie). Eve then tried to work thru connections and get mi in. After much wait, i went thru the main door, pass those fuckers queing, pass 2 bouncers, and into club. And guess what? no cover and no chop required. The power of connections. Viclance then taught mi connections is the most impt thing, study is nothing, dun be like fa study study, come out and see the world and noe more pple and get more connections.
Inside was normal, with buggers dancing, drinking and smoking. Not much pretty babes around though. Drinks then came, they bought absolute volka (something i dun quite like). Anyhow still drink (with viclance, eve, angee, dancing king whom the name i forgot, vincient). Drink/Smoke --> Drink/Smoke and this goes on for quite a few rounds Was doing okok and then viclance begined showed SIGNS and so mi and angee brought him out to puke (he did it on angee's feet) However, angee did not leave mi and viclance alone. Her buddy changru (who is my bro sec school classmate) came to fetch her and she send us back also. Viclance and frens then carried mi, the 85kg mass of fats, down the stairs into the car and up to my home. From this i feel there is still love for fatties in the society.
So lastly I wanna thank angee (shes really a nice gal), viclance and changru for all the help. Maybe i should write to ST forums under give thanks column to tell SG pple (esp junzhang) that there is still love for fatties.
Moral of the story - Nv drink again. Serious.

12:02 p.m.Whiney mood
I've got lots to whine today. Thus if you are not interested, you may leave now.
1. Early afternoon, I went to attend a meeting (with UPenn SEAS Dean, Professor Eduardo Glandt). As usual, pl and zeeling got a problem with mi and start shooting mi upon my arrival. Anyhow, the way glandt speak is so kok, i totally could not catch what he was saying. He was talking about the american life that we should experience when we are there. How to? when i cant understand wat they say! Any ang moh to talk to mi after exams? I need to train up.
2. After that meeting, i went to my tuition (yes my fg tutee). ITS already a long day liao and I din study for the whole day and this fg tutee must further fustrate mi. As usual she forgot the last lesson teachings and made mi repeat everything over and over again. BRAIN CELLS DEPLETION man... Sigh how to study for my exam!!!
3. Theres this msian tsunami flooding our sci carparks (for the sake of non bikes, theres lotsa honda waves) Bloody hell they take up every lot at our sci carpark. its like those workers bike SHOULD NOT be allowed in our carpark lo. nowadays those clamp uncles so active, if i ever tio clamp im going to WRITE TO ST FORUM (yes yes yes i noe if fa is reading this inside his heart will say NATO) O well lucky semester is ending liao. Fuck it then.
4. LASTLY, THE MOST fuck thing I have encountered today is................................................................................. DIRTY TOILETS!!!! I totally cant stand dirty and smelly toilets. I SERIOUSLY dun understand why sci lib toilet is always so dirty. Usually when I go there I see unflushed urinary pits but today guess what I SAW? UNFLUSHED toilet bowls filled with brownies coloured shit. And guess what? not 1 but 2 (TWO) The other one was jus yellowish urine. Maybe im too lonely. I need something for mi to play (not just any toy, but something alive).
Something that i can ka ciao when im bored, something that i can kick when im fustrated, something i can love when im feeling happy, something that will listen to mi without betraying mi, something that will listen to my command always, something that i can bring out to show off, something that i can afford, something that belongs to mi wholly.
After much thinking, i think i would need a dog cos it fits all my above criteria. And again after much browsing and surfing through, i've decided on the west highland white terrier. Its really cute and nice looking. Last but not least (in fact might be the most important) is that the size seems small enough to fit my rubbish chute in case if it dies. Yes how could i have not remember to post all the interesting things that happened today~~~ (special thanks to mbs for reminding mi to post)
Today morning got a pharmaceutical analysis test, so as usual walk into the lab moodily. HOWEVER, the moment i stepped into the lab, something petrified mi (and i mean literally). Was in total shock and mind went blank!!! ZN was showing off her assets (called 入沟 in chinese) IN PUBLIC can... and of cus the 1st thing i go to is TAU!!! I told tau "hey tau so how? did u see zn?" tau replied "nooooo dun remind mi" and after which we both burst into laughters... Anyhow this zn issue was dragged till afternoon (discuss with ssj n co/discuss during lunch/discuss with daddy/discuss with sm)
Next thing major that happened was the briefing for hospital attachment. Another shock came when i enter the dispensing lab as i saw a modern 白发磨女!!! She looks kok but in briefing and so i din dicuss with the rest. Anyhow the posting was out and i was posted to NATIONAL CANCER CENTRE. Heard from keegan its a v sad place... walls are gray, pple crying and wailing, diseases all around the air... is cancer infectious? Im so worried bout my health (i have high risk factors and dun have a strong immune system) PLUS i heard VRE is at SGH too ya? Fa and ai posted to changi hospital (they start work at midnight~~ so scary~~~ eeeee)
O well enuff of the scary stuff and lets talk bout some sad stuff. I really dun understand how the dept works and schedule posting one... wenqi/norus and many others are posted to some faraway place from their home and did not get their preferred batch... they seem desperate but i can only do batch 1 if not i'll surely help given my kind nature... 11:21 p.m.Shes going to fail big time...
Yes, Im refering to my fg tutee. I believed shes the most cmi student in her class (not that i wanna badmouth her). I can confidently say she will not get pass a C6 for her paper if not i tok (its with simon btw, can go cut a small piece for yourself). I spent like 15 mins explaining on how to draw the curve y=2^x then another 5 mins to explain on asymptote (which i have already explained to her previously in last lesson). Anyhow shes a goner la and always no mood to tuition and study one. Poor mi the tutor :(
Anyhow today was quite fucked tup... i scratched my fender while parking at arts carpark. wtf!!! totally mad with myself for being so kok and not seeing the darn obstacle!!!
O ya and beatrice say she saw mi twice close up at arts but i din see her!!! how sad.. jennies might be with her and i can say hi to her~~~~ too bad... o well screw that... i must be thinking of my damaged fender till i can even miss the pretty gals~~~~

Today i took my bro bike to try it out... and theres only 1 word for it... shiok~ The bike is power la... can rev... can speed... i turn trottle abit already go to 100 liao... and i clocked 150 on aye (not even full throttle) then i hum and slow down (not cos i scare the speed but cos i scare my license kena kan tong)... anyhow bad thing about the bike is bad sitting position and no box... below is a pic of my bro bike

Today was quite a boring and moody day (maybe cos of the never ending rain)...
Early morning went to school to study and as usual fa always msg mi NATO when im at the sci lib doorstep... fa is jus soooo kok... anyhow thot will be seeing mbs there too but unfortunately not... so jus fa alone... then everyone came... tt, cs, jm... group study = kok talking = nothing goes in head = good luck for test
Went for lecture later and the darn lecturer assumes we noe all his abbrev and his style of presenting... totally cannot understand... now i understand what beatrice/jennies say by biotech is talking foreign lang to them jus like my gem is talking foregin to mi... and he end his last lect with a slide that goes "May the Gracious LORD Crown your efforts with SUCCESS"... o well screw that...
Fortunately the darn rain stop after the darn lecture and i can get to go home... but freaking thing happen... dunnoe which bastard create a dent on the aye and i unknowingly go thru it causing a super HARD bump to my bike and the result? my speedometer cable broke~~ thats going to cost mi money again... May the Gracious LORD heal my bike so i dun need to pay? Anyhow I will try pray tonight... as they always say... have faith.. i shall try and have faith...

For those who dunnoe... BSE = Breast Self Examination... Today fa showed mi his notes on BSE... was very interesting... only sad thing is it is not examinable... if only theres a practical exam for BSE... Anyhow below are the simple instructions for those who wish to know more...
LOOK
1. Stand in front of a mirror and look at each breast separately. Note the size, shape, colour, contour and direction of your breasts and nipples.
2. Raise your arms over your head and look at your breasts, as you turn slowly from side to side.
3. Press your hands on your hips and push your shoulders forward. Look at each breast separately.
FEEL
1. Stand in front of a mirror and start BSE just below the collar bone.
2. Use the left hand for the right breast. Moisten the pads of your three middle fingertips with body lotion. Apply firm pressure and make small circles as you go back or forth (up or down, circular or spoke style) in a pattern covering all the breast area including the nipple. Extend the examination to the breast tissue in the underarm. Change your hand and repeat BSE on the opposite breast.
3. Lie down and raise one arm above your head. Examine your breasts as before, omitting the underarm. Change your arm and repeat BSE on the opposite breast.

07:44 p.m.I killed an ant today~
Okie this is evil but i still did it...
I meet jerms for dinner at pgp today... had cai peng but the entire plate was GREEN... 4 kinds of vege (in case if you guys dunnoe, im on a vege regimen)... The uncle look at mi and say "you today eat zai ah" in a super skeptical way... (its like wtf? fat pple cannot eat vege ah?)... anyhow i proceed to pay 2 bucks for the plate of greenies and the kok uncle kp further and say wanna earn your 2 bucks also hard... (its like wtfx2? can only earn from fat pple isit?)
Okie anyhow the above got nothing to do with the ant... its jus my usual whinings... yep so after dinner jerms went for a puff as usual... and so we were at this pathetic corner hiding... being bored i was looking ard and i saw this tiny ant (we shall refer it as ant A)crawling ard... so sthg struck my mind and i decided to burn the ant with a cigg butt... i was chasing and chasing but eventually ant A managed to craw down the wall which i could not chase any further... as i was thinking how shitty am i whereby i cant even kill an ant... ant B SHOWED up... this time i was fast and quick and thus managed to burn the ant and he finally fell down the wall and got drowned in the puddle of water...
As i saw the ant running away and subsquently being burnt and to finally struggling in the puddle of water... i somehow felt a tiny bit of fun (or happiness you may call it)... this sounds sadist but my conclusion is... this goes to prove one of my frens theory that "theres only this amt of happiness in this world... by depriving others of their happiness... then only will be happy..." Today I wanna talk bout my pharmacokinetics lecturer Eli Chan... He is the most OOP (out of point) person ever... Talk to him X, he reply Y and sometimes goes on to tell you Z... anyhow having said all these, hes still a very nice and frenly lecturer... one of those few you can talk to if you are bored during experiments... simply tell him something and he can chat on with you...
This is what happened when i look for him this afternoon to ask him some questions... I was asking him about the procedure on how should we do our pk expt reports (i.e. subject X)... however, he talk to mi about yr 2 pharmacostats and asking mi why have i forgotten all my stats knowledge and ask mi how come i got such short term memory and goes on to discuss about my brain memory (i.e. subject Y)... soon after discussion i thot i should go and perhaps not waste his time (and MY time)... then suddenly he brought up the topic of pharmacy going to enlist much more students in future and say a new lab is under renovation to take more students and then brought mi to the renovating lab showing mi his new lab and commenting how much bigger it is as compared to the old lab (i.e. subject Z)

My bike battery died on mi... cannot start the bike on a thursday sunny evening at nus sci carpark... i was there helplessly trying to hope the darn battery will wake up...
Anyhow a nice guy who rides a phantom offer to help mi push start... so i was there sitting on my bike n he was there pushing mi from behind... and vrrrrrrrrroooom the bike started... b4 i could ask for his name and contacts he say good luck and left! such nice pple are so hard to find nowadays...

Hi Hi... have not been updating for quite a while... many things happened the past week and most of them are bad...
I have some health problems... im a dying man liao... renal disease, predispose to type 2 dm, severe obesity, high blood pressure, high risk factor to coronary heart disease, and many others... all those stuff ive learn seems to be on mi... is this retribution? I think i need to accummulate good karma... sigh...
The dilemma of going to philly or stockholm is solved!!! im back to the choice of hoping to go to philly... cos living at stockholm is just too ex!!! so cant go... wat a waste i was hoping to tour europe n visit old trafford!!!! haha...
Some slight good things are... I bought a webcam!!! from creative sale... 39 bucks... its cheap n thus image is bad... but no complains... also my aircon is fixed!!! dun have to go to my bro room to sleep liao... the heat can kill man...

Alot of pple say I lack situation awareness... for those who are dense (like mi)... i guess its just a more subtle way of saying you lack EQ?
1. I told ssj, infront of yufang, that zining is working alone in lab till her face black black n then laugh out loud. yufang is the good fren of zining

GEM tutorial went well!!! the qn we presented was profesionally done (by me!!! haha) and was profesionally vetted by my buddy zs!!! i think it was quite well la... but the tutor jus wanan make things difficult and ask us kok qn...
patn got 2 x free movies passes for mi n jerms cos he working at great world grand!!! wanted to watch hitch but no free list n so end up watch dunnoe wat kok show called series of unfortunate event (how unfortunate indeed)... the show was like same timing as hitch and its only towards the end of the show that i think of going to the room showing hitch (since it wun be fullhouse on a weekday!)... sad that im slow in thinking... anyhow i also wanan work at great world grand... so near my place... but pay is low of about 3.5... but would be okie since patn is there too!!!

Today went to schering plough to visit their tablet and biotech plant... actually its nothing much... all machine machine and machine... quite boring lo... got a gek ling tablet tour guide with a phd (i suspect its from university of calcutta or bombay) who talk and talk and talk... then the biotech tour guide even worst who thinks that his .22 micron filter can remove all things and told us pyrogens n endotoxins can be removed by his .22 micron filter!!!
To make things worst got a kei zhua guy from SP in this grp!!! he acts like the boss and like command pple to press the lift.. then walk infront with the tour guide... then told mi not to TOUCH the doors and PUT my head cap properly in a v RUDE way... wat a lame ass!!!
Dinner with tt, cs, tad, mbs, tau, fr at hala food court... haha... then went to check out the A level maths c 10 yrs series for my tutee... crap lo she say cannot find i go there got like so many of them... anyhow call her ask her wanan buy not then nv pick up... problematic tutee!!! help!!!

FINALLY meet up with viclancekal... viclance is still the best!!!
Tad suggested to go harbour front for dinner and so we went... some screw ups happened!!! harbour front carpark dun allow bikes one... and i din noe... so happily went in and was wondering how come no bikes at all... then bloody carpark attendant say no bikes or else clamp and SGD50 in a very gl way and on the way out another gl carpark attendant say cannot go thru barricade as my bike will damage the SGD1500 thingy (WTF!!!)... so bo bian have to slowly move my big heavy bike backwards... next time i will drive there and screw those carpark attendants big time... bloody discriminate bikers!!!
Anyhow we ate spizza where they use v v v v BIG oven like a small house to peng kan the pizza... looked v interesting!!! but taste normal only... but viclance and tad say v v v v v v v nice... so okie lo...
Proceeded to watch team america world police at suntech... its a super kok show... damn funny la... worth SGD6.5 and not anything more... heres an excerpt (pardon the vulgarities pls): there are 3 kinds of pple - dicks, pussy, assholes. pussy hate dicks cos they get fucked by them. assholes hate dicks too cos they sometimes get fucked by them. assholes shit around and blah blah blah...
O ya and i bought a new shaver!!! its the 3rd generation of mach3... it got this battery inside and it will generate some micropulse that will cause hair to stand up so as to achieve a better and cleaner and smoother shave... i tried it!!! clean shave!!! And its in green my fav colour!!! WOO!!

As the title says it all... i was being stared in a very nasty way today (in hokkien they call it tiao)...
After pharm analysis lecture, mi/cs/tt/tad/mbs/cp went for lunch togather... though we went early at ard 11.30 the canteen was filled and we could not find a seat... being an impatient person i was getting v v v v v v hot liao... then suddenly i saw a table quite far away from mi (5m away) with 3 person sitting down NOT eating BUT studying... so as usual i whine to mbs and say quite loudly that whats the lib for when pple dun study there and come canteen to study and hog tables making others unable to eat....
RIGHT after saying that... i notice the table jus BESIDE mi got 2 gals studying and one of the gal look up and stared HARD at mi... was so scary can... The meaning of ge qiang you er can fully be understand from this example... Anyhow i got scared and went to take cover... i hope i dun bump into her again!!!!
Lastly, my oral presentation for uropes is tentatively scheduled on 23rd march 2004 after 12!!! I hereby request all of you guys to support mi so that i can have at least a half filled LT!!! Till then... See ya all!!!

Today I nearly buang cos of a female driver... she braked to near stop (and suddenly) before entering the expressway... this is damn kok cos theres like not much oncoming traffic!!! Suppose to speed up but yet they stop... and when they suppose to stop yet they speed up...
Final note... drive/ride safely with much caution especially with our favourite females around on the road...
Today also quite kok... kena tua by doctor to buy a 19.50 cream... its not cheap to keep a lesion in control... kok...

Course accepts only thin people
RECENTLY, I saw an advertisement in the newspaper asking people to sign up for a training course in patient care. I went down to the company to sign up and was asked to fill in an application form.
I was told the company would contact me the following Monday to let me know if I had been selected.
A week passed and I didn't hear from the company, so I called to find out the outcome of my application.
I was told I had not been selected. When I asked why this was so, I was told my BMI (Body Mass Index) is too high.
I was shocked and asked the person on the line if she was trying to tell me I am too fat for the course. She said 'yes' and it is the hospital's policy not to select those deemed too fat.
Does this mean just because a person is big, she cannot attend a course? Isn't it bad enough that you need to speak Mandarin and be young before you can take up certain jobs in Singapore? Now you have to be thin as well?
The Government has been talking about freeing up jobs for the elderly. Perhaps it should look into other forms of discrimination, such as judging applicants based on their size or the language they speak. Monday, February 21, 2005

Today i invited my pharmacy frens to come to my place for some gathering... tad, mbs, cp, cs, tt, ssj, cyn all came... fr ls cant come and taufiq went mosque and cant come... i told them not to be late.. BUT BUT BUT ssj, cyn, cs, cp were all late!!! they made mbs waited!!!
My mum cooked lotsa food for them... but sad to say all of them was v full and cant eat much... but they still v nice help eat bit... after eating immediately we proceed to our agenda ----> GAMBLING
All of them say wanan win my money... BUT BUT BUT im at home ground... super advantage lo... Im sooooooo on form can... I had 3 x blackjack... and my cards are either 2 ang kong kia or 10 pts get picture or 11 pts get picture... even kok cards like 12 pts i can get 12+3+5=20pts... super!!!! whahahahaa
Anyhow after blackjack... tad suggested in between the super game... after MUCH explaination... we went on with the game... initially the game went well... then suddenly... sthg got kok up... i saw 10 bucks and i got a 2/Queen then i take all and lose 10 bucks... then cs also hiong take all and he STRUCK POLE!!!! This goes on for a few rd and the pool money eventually went up to 158 bucks... then finally the time came for mi... i got a 2 and Queen then i decided to take 100 bucks... my heart was beating so fast that i literally understand the meaning of tachycardia... but im so on form that i got thru :o (sorry people dun be too jealous of mi :p)... Anyhow biggest winner is not mi... its our dearest MBS!!! she also super on form... win win win and win... total winnings 50+ (contributed by cyn, ssj, cs, tad, cp)...
Soon after they went home and i sent them out... when i came back my mum ask mi play mj with my bro, mum, and her god daughter husband... so we play 30/60 no coins... i was quite on form also... within jus 1 rd of dong... i won 30 bucks!!!

Saturday --> First day of the term week break... 1st thing i did was to watch my tian long ba bu... i like such shows... but dunnoe will this series in china be good...
Anyhow, evening time went to tads place for gathering... all of tads frens were there, junzhang and many others... elaine indeed was v v v skinny liao... and of cus not to miss my favourite dear best buddy viclance... hes there too... hes been mia and depression and sick for a v long time liao... finally get to meet up with him and glad to find out that hes okie...
Gambling activities... I join banker with tad and thot we could kill all of them there... but we lose like f*ck!!! THEN...... our favourite dear best buddy viclance invested in us!!!! despite us being a sinking (in fact sunken) ship... he took money out and help us mininise lost... at the end we each lose 10 bucks... we played some mahjong also but it was a small amount and i lost 4 bucks...
Dinner was candian pizza... not v nice... then had lou hei prepared by one of tads fren... hes a computer expert and a super nice guy (he sent mi home last cny gathering despite mi staying so off him)... this yr he offer to send mi home again!! but i ride bike this time.. hehe... we watched a kok movie called white noise... its such a sooooooooooooo interesting show.... whoever free shld go catch it...

This lunar new year is a very boring one for mi... Totally dun feel the festive mood at all... WHY!!!!!!!
1st day of cny was at home... my grandpa stayed over at cny eve... then uncles and aunties came over... got a few hong bao with not much cash... anyhow din really mingle much cos i guess im past the age... my sis is doing all the stuff like "do u wan any drink" "do u wan any food" "do u wan to play uno" "do u wan to play fresbies"... also uncles and aunties like to ask why my bro got gf i no gf... why pharm so many gals cant find a gf... why why why... Anyhow night time jasmine was at my area visiting so went to meet her for a cup of bandung then talk kok bit and went home...
2nd day was even more boring... was trying to find kahki to gamble or mahjong but sad to say cant find any... wanna jio a good fren of mine to come over talk kok but again sad to say he not free... and tv show on 2nd cny day was lousy... totally nothing... the day ended with mi doing my pk pract reports... so kok...
Hope to go visiting at my classmates place but i guess bit hard as got 2 tests next week!!! every1 will be so pia... sure no time... will see how then... Till next... Thursday, February 10, 2005
11:47 p.m.Reunion lunch at fish&co
Today had reunion lunch with pharmacy classmates at fish&co glasshouse...
Daddy was in fumes when i reached!!! i thot i was late liao but daddy was the 1st one to arrived... he called everyone and no1 pick up the fone except for mi... ssj was the 1st gal to reach but was scolded by daddy for not punctual!!! Poor ssj as she was late cos she was had to help her mum spring clean (no1 believed her except me :o...) Lastly, as usual and predictable... cyn was the lastest...
Anyhow lunch was tu till 12.45pm from the original 11.45am... haha... tad/me/fr shared 2 x seafood platter for two... ate till super full... as usual while eating all of them was niaoing mi and say i v er xin in my eating style :(... After eating, took some pics with them (will post when they sent mi) and then go ps walk while and go home liao...
Lunch was super full till I CANT eat my dinner... wat a waste... Anyhow, wish all of you guys a very happy lunar new year... Good health and get rich... Till then!!!

Very long nv blog liao... maybe cos nothing special happen in school... day in day out same thing happening...
Anyhow past weeks been exercising!!! Play badminton with viclance/tad, go gym with simon/cyn/ssj, play badminton with tad/mbs/cp/cs/jm, play tennis with daddy/fr/tad/sherry... I seem to sleep less in class after doing exercise (its a good thing!)... Anyhow i still think im not cut out to exercise... i'll still eat, nua, and sleep... whahhaha...
Anyhow some bad things happened and i wish to whine about it!!! My bike already seem to go some problem (screeching sound and maybe even fuel leak!!!) and in addition to this, some mf stole my number plate!!! In broad daylight can!!! At SRC carpark!!! So kok can... maybe that mf wans my chrom casing the number plate... damn pisssssssssssed!!!

Quite sometime din blog... perhaps nothing much happened and nothing to whine about also...
NUSPS collected money from mi today... told them no money and will pay another day... brandon say jacket can change size if we are not happy with it... at least NUSPS did the very little bit for the jacket thing...
Things been going GOOD so far... Won a few bucks from sgpools from soccer betting... Eating healthy and sat will be playing badminton with viclance!!! Finally will be able to see viclance around!!! My com problem solved again also!!! Used win98se scandisk to recover my bad sectors and it worked!!! School today was great too... 4-6pm lessons was energising despite a boring lecturer because of sweet people around...
Bright colours seemed to bring my bad run to a stop and giving mi a good run!!! Shall keep the bright colours comming!!! Till then...

Towards a healthier lifestyle...
I am working towards a healtier lifestyle from today onwards!!! I feel the need of it after all these signs and warnings: 1. Mums diabetes condition was slightly worsen... diabetes is inheritable (esp for fat pple :o) 2. Tad say i should be in the prediabetes condition and if i proceed to the progressive stage then i got no hope liao 3. Jm say if i continue to "bao ying bao shi" like that i most prob will tio AMF and other related coronary diseases 4. Simon say if still go on like this my organs will used for future pathology tutorials
My healthier lifestyle plans as follows: 1. Less meat more vege 2. No more sugar water 3. Go gym with simon whenever possible, play badminton with tad whenever possible, in short more exercise! Anyhow today i had claypot tofu (no meat only vege!!!) and oolong tea (sugarless!!!)... Any1 have any other suggestion on wat healthy food i can eat for lunch? Looking forward to my healthier life!!! 10:38 p.m.Seat kena stolen...
There a few buggers in class who proclaimed certain seats in LT to be "theirs"... As such, a few of my frens decided to take "their" seat to gek them... Anyhow, we din do it today mainly because we dun wanan be as childish as them (partly they say sit too front hard to see)...
However, today some buggers (sl, sy and co) took my seat!!! Not that I am like those buggers, but LT 24 only the last row got enough leg space for mi (im fat and need more leg space :o)... Anyhow, gained something else (is this wat they call blessing in disguise?) Haha...
Got a screwed up pharmacy jacket... still as tight fitting as before even though they have taken personal measurments... Anyhow I dun see any DESIGN on the pharmacy jacket... All the talk only and no action by the buggers (sl, sy and co) in my class (to think they got a first prize and money for it)...
Anyhow, school seems good so far... besides boring pharmacotherapy lecture, rest are still okie... Lunch with a big bunch of classmates, talk kok, joke, relax... Till then... Tuesday, January 18, 2005
08:40 p.m.Past few days...
Friday night went out with cheong, andy, zs to celebrate zs bday (belated one, i actually forget zs bday date :o)... Anyhow some kok ups happened... zs/cheong was late for 1 hr!!! To make matter worst, their hp had no batt and thus was uncontactable!!! Anyhow, just wanna add on that i wasnt affected by their lateness (poor andy :o) cos i finish school at 7 so told them i will be meeting them at 8+... Anyhow its a small kok up only so still a happy outing... After dinner went to INK BAR at the raffles city hotel, dunnoe isit called westin... INK BAR is some hc bar, the pple there all seems to be working class and when we enter the security (a malay muddie) scrutinse up from head to toe then let us in with a kok expression... (ssj sure say i so lc then so kok go to such hc places when she read this :o)
Sat went to town with cheong/andy/zs to shop for new year's clothing... that day i see the astro palmist (which ssj say i v dumb to be cheated by him) then he told mi to wear bright colors so as to have a better run in my life... so i decided to get all bright colors tshirt... i bought rainbow colors... Red/Orange/Yellow/Green/Blue/Purple (i combine violet and indigo to purple)... i hope all these bright colors will bring a stop to my bad run and may i have a nice and happy new year ahead...
I've got this green craze now... No more pink... Many have asked mi why, reason is as follows... "one day i was at the traffic lights waiting, then i was daydreaming, then suddenly lights turned green but cos i was dreaming, i din move off, the bugger behind then horned mi loudly, i got a shock and woke up from my daydream and started looking around, i saw all everything around mi in green, perhaps cos there was a big field with many trees around, then my head was filled with greeness, from then i fell in love with green and thus having a green craze now" I hoped i've explained well enough :)
Next, it seems that everyone in my class is getting a laser printer!!! Both ssj and cp bought one today... ssj got a hp one but i dunnoe wat brand cp bought... All of them asked mi how much i bought mine and price of toner to compare and contrast... i guess this printer buying phenomenon is due to a major change of policy in dispensing lab... all the printers in dispensing lab has been kept!!! they no longer let students print freely liao... Anyhow this does not affect mi...
Was chatting with ssj and she told mi they wanna ask dept if can do fyp outside school... i hope dept allow too!!! so i can do my fyp at bv (if i get my internship that is, hope this time will be luciker!)... ssj they all intend to do fyp at astar RI, sounds good... lets hope dept will allow :o
My computer is down... with both hard disk having numerous bad sectors... all my data are gone... my lecture notes... my tvb serials... my email backups... my progs... sigh... I also cant burn MOC for tt/cs/taufiq as promised (a very big sorry to them)... maybe if i get my comp working i can burn for them :o... BECAUSE of this comp problem i cant go sentosa on sunday with VICLANCE!!! Damn sad to miss a chance to meet up with viclance and have fun with viclance... sigh...
Lastly, sent mbs a mms but cant show the pic up here cos comp down... sigh... Thats about all that have happended the last few days... Till next...

2nd day of school is much more happening than 1st day of school... 1st day of school is like so empty, everyone dunnoe go where... cannot find any1 to talk to!!!
Eat at mac again (yesterday with jerms) tog with tad, mbs, cp, cs, tt, taufiq, jm... new twister fries at mac taste great (try it out man!)... went over to the art to walk the sports bazaar... i did a palm reading there!!! wat he say seems vague... anyhow he said some good stuff and i hope will come true :p
School reopen got lotsa outings but school holidays got no outing (so kok)... Thursday badminton 1-3pm at clementi sports hall... Sunday sentosa... and Wednesday cord jio phantom of the opera (but i not int and i have to go to lab sigh)
My "good" fren pl is angry with mi!!! cos i say something bad :o... im sorry pl (if you are reading which i doubt so...)

The Sparking of Grapes in Microwaves Ovens and Cause Thereof
If a grape is placed in a microwave oven, sliced in two and spread (butterflied in such a way that the two hemispheres are directly beside each other and just touching, ideally with a small flap of skin still connecting them) and then the microwave is turned on, within seconds a spark/flame appears between the two halves. This seems bizarre, but has been observed by many different people and documented several places. Today, jar shall share his findings on this anomaly.
1. A 600W microwave with a turntable (normal household kitchen microwave will do the job)
2. Stainless steel knife (if possible a new one so the effect of knife, if any, is absent)
3. Seedless red grapes (or white, doesnt matter much) on a ceramic plate (no metal plates pls)
1. Cut grape in two equal halves, leaving the two halves attached by a small flap of skin. Open up so that they resemble in the picture below, and place on the ceramic plate (it seems to be irrelevant whether or not the grapes are placed cut side down as in picture, or if they are placed cut side up.)
2. Place the grape halves inside a microwave oven. If it has a turntable, be sure to set them in the exact center so they move as little as possible.
3. Turn the microwave on high for 10 seconds.
4. Record all observations.
5. Repeat as many times as deemed necessary for uniformity of data.
1. 3-5 seconds of microwaving, a bright light and loud buzzing sound was observed at the junction between the grape halves, where they were connected by the flap of skin.
2. The light seems to be primarily sparks but partly flame.
3. After a while, smoke might appear
4. Soon, the juice of the grapes would boil over and extinguish the flames (this usually happened when the grapes were placed cut side down), or the skin bridge would break and the grapes would fall apart, also ending the sparks.
1. Cutting the skin bridge --> No difference in sparks and flames
2. Multiple grapes --> More grapes means more sparks and flames, but at different timing
3. Removing skin --> No observation of sparks and flames
4. Control using whole uncut grape --> No observation as well
I am still working on it. Will update once I complete on this anomaly experiment.
