Chasing time on Wednesday, November 30, 2005...

Strange not, one works more
When time he has less.

Chasing time on Sunday, November 27, 2005...

Little to update, price for the monotony in this time-lock. With luck I'd be back on Tuesday; be training, but not much incentives to perform anymore heh. Perhaps more to be written; there's always plenty to be written just that indolence tend to seep in. Shall try to relive mugging days this week for the SAT, practice the memory techniques, and then finalise a timetable for the rest of the 8 months once this is over.

Chasing time on Sunday, November 20, 2005...

Have never been much bothered by global warming, much less even heard of "global dimming" but now after watching the documentary shown on CNA I'm really kinda jittery about the fate of the planet O_O granted the show seems to be exaggerating, playing out the worse case scenario, but still :S

Watch it here! gotta register, but it's very quick and fuss free :)

Never really tried to quantify multitasking on the computer, but was forced to when Mom tried to talk to me, and apparently I've assigned her a priority: low and got her a bit fed up :p

So it happened that I was telling Mel about global dimming, a documentary I watched yesterday; to lich about our pri's school land lease and outing; with elf, on harry potter and mailing him the books; and responding to mails from piu and updating my site accordingly. Suddenly mom popped out and asked me questions about singtel's contract length and all, and this being something still 3 months away, auto scheduler unconsciously assigned a low priority to this and ended up not paying full attention to her and mumbling replies; while the "oei it's mom!" part does flips, handstands and waves frantically, trying to get the mind to respond to a high priority mom-level "external" stimuli. And when finally I got jacked out back to the real world, mom's aint exactly in a great mood, and neither was I, lost track of everything I was doing and totally derailed from the mental equivalent of a railway track. Had to spend some time picking up the pieces again, then go and propitate with mom O_O Ugh.

Otherwise, week in summary, since I'm already late for camp :S
Watched Harry Potter with the class guys, then suppered with WZ, who almost made it to the headlines by driving the car off while Chris was still on his way into the car. Welcomed Mi'er, decked in noir-ish killer full body black, back at the airport. Sis finished Os. Met up with buddies, always looked forward to the discussions and endless ideas, lunched at Cafe, lounged out at TCC.

Chasing time on Monday, November 14, 2005...

Time flies like an arrow, fruit flies like a banana Age is increasingly weighed down by new memories and the detritus of the past. Like a sinking ship casting out deadweight, it dumps parts and bits of me in a scattered trail behind.

Occasionally one gets lost in memories, chasing after fragments of the bygone years that are so tangible yet irrevocably past. And so after the logorrhea on trying to capture the mind frame in words and ended up with a mess, I shall just tuck it in here neatly in between the lines.

Birthday came and left, and there wasn't much change as the eye could see. Done little this week too, except trying to get the page up. Hmm, can't really think of anything to blog so shall just pause the quill for the moment, and get back on preparing to go back to camp :(

Oh, and have been playing around with subliminal messaging :D You know, messages that are flashed quickly they've supposedly bypassed your consciousness and is subconsciously acted on? :p Yup, it has been flashing the whole day liao, with messages like "My memory is excellent", "I can concentrate easily", and I've added my little own in an attempt to weed out bad habits. Like, "I will not bite my fingernails" etc haha :p Will update if anything works ... Though the little flash of text too fast to be read do act as a constant reminder :)

Chasing time on Monday, November 7, 2005...

It's November already! Almost forewent archiving heh, given the sad number of entries that are loping around on the page. Will try to fill in the blanks, it's quite amazing how the time just flew and flew away...

3rd Div cross country meet again! Last year's lucky number was 6 heh, as was surprised by the coincidences arising from the number positions, of number tags, to 9th place for 3rd Div (09, invert that and get 60), and 60th for SAFSA. SIX-OH! :D

Thus was quite depressed when I got the number tag 70 haha, but turns out that I got placed 7th, and the most amazing thing is that when I called home, my parents told me Dad won the 7th place in the Insurance Association lucky draw heh! And he didn't even attend the event :p Prize was a Fuji Finepix 350, a 5.2MP camera that has practically no manual functions and uses XD card. Oh well, heard the CCD's quite good for low noise reproduction, it might be useful for taking those photos where excessive photoshopping is needed :)

Played around with Photoshop CS2, discovered one of the most useful tool around :D Shadows / Highlights! Darn useful for digitally enhancing the quality of photos in cases when high dynamic ranges of the source causes some parts to be too dark; and for stretching the range of flashes at night :)

Which was quite useful for the lots of beach shots taken during the trip down to ECP :) Met up with the BH bunch, with the intention of only enjoying the sea breeze and finishing my magazines haha. Took lots of photos, and had to photoshop most of the photos lol as they were too dark (background was too bright!) Ended with a nice meal, as shown in the photos section :D

Photos of ECP Outing!

Then went for Spinelli somewhere in Orchard, and tried to build a mental map of orchard which has been perpetually lacking :p Still had to call for directions haha... Talked about some of the ideas I've been working on, somehow it makes them seem less viable more heh! LANned till quite late, with Horse driving down to join us heh, despite much objections haha since we could have done it for free at home anyway :p

And the nine days at home passed like this :(

As for those who read about the Iraqi Dinar speculation on the web, my advice: HOLD! :D Convince me otherwise on MSN ^^

Money's an unhealthy obsession :(
