Mina obsesses over guys with nice coats that flap in the back^__^  Aoshi is Mina's favorite in the whole wide world!  Then comes Kaiba, especially in the white thing.  Mina also loves playing Pokémon and other RPG's and fervently hopes for many SNES ports for GBA!

Miz taking the liberty of writing about Cadet, since he doesn't know anything about editing this portion of the page yet.  So don't think bad of Miz if anyone doesn't like what Miz wrote.  Cadet with his evil tomato picture wants to act as if he's evil, but inside he's just a big empty-word guy.  Cadet thinks the best of the Blade of the Immortal manga!

Here's an 18-year old suffering from a premature mid-life crisis if that is even possible (ha HA). It took me about a little a year to join and now here I am ^_^ Don't procrastinate folks. This is my first group blog. I hope to have fun and share my insanity while I'm at it. I love Fruits Basket and Yuki and elves with blonde hair (~_~).

Okie.... well...looks like I'm going to be back on the evening of May 12. By the way...got these from Amazon. Pretty good cds I think... I'm getting into listening to Ryuichi Sakamoto's stuff now. Hence my purchases.......

The "zanarkand" in the link is spelled wrong; just spell it right and you should be able to download it^^  I did!  I didn't like that one as much as yatutuke shigoto (so cute^^), though.  Not as smooth as the music I usually like^^;;

Yay, my dear Aoshi will be well-known in the States!  Wait, this means I'll have to fight for him...mine, all mine!  Viz is licensing it; that can be good and bad.  Viz does a great job in presentation (lettering, touch-up, etc.), but they publish things so slow>_<  I want to know more story!  Tokopop doesn't do such a good presentation, but they're so fast with their publications.  Yeah, people always say quality is better than quantity, but in this case, I have to say I like TP more.  I want to know more story and the "rush job" they do with their lettering doesn't affect my view of the art cuz it's mostly just word bubbles and the like since they leave the SFX in.  The parts that mostly do get affected are the words written in shading, but that still doesn't affect my enjoyment of the art or story (although it gives me a slight chuckle).  Once in a blue moon, TP actually does forget to translate a Japanese word; you can literally see "demo" in hiragana in one of the Planet Ladder GN's, but since I know what that means, I don't really care.  People that don't know what it means probably wouldn't even have noticed it was there (apparently, the TP staff didn't even notice it was there).

Hmmm....can't download Odainjini..... Well... Utada and Ayumi aren't really that similar....however they're pop singers.

YAY!!!!! *throws confetti* My love for Viz has increased a lot ^.^ After all these years, they finally license the Rurouni Kenshin manga! This is what I've read from the Shonen Jump newsletter:

Rurouni Kenshin Alert!

Wow! The response for Rurouni Kenshin has been overwhelming, but we should clarify a thing or two about the previous newsletter. Rurouni Kenshin will be published by Viz, but we have not yet announced how it will be published. It may be in SHONEN JUMP, it may be published as Graphic Novels--or it may appear in both. Rurouni Kenshin will make an appearance in Issue 7, however--in a feature article. Stay tuned for more details about the historical hit manga/anime.

Either way, I can't wait! ^.^

Well, I wouldn't call Count D cute, but pretty. I just love his attitude ^.^

I like to listen to pop the best. I prefer listening to anything fast. I also listen to slow songs, but I would get bored if I listen too much... The songs I don't like are slow versions and very slow songs that have barely any music. I'll download these Shiina Ringo's songs when I have the chance.
--this blog was glomped by Aya on Sunday, April 27, 2003 at 11:42 p.m.

I would agree that Shiina Ringo's music doesn't fall into the soft rock/pop genre. But anyway, I uploaded a song from her new album. Just visit my journal. The layout has also changed. If you don't have a fast internet connection, you will probably have problems hearing the song. You can download Odainjini and yatutuke shigoto. I don't know if Ayumi and Utada are that similar.

Well...let's see....Ella Enchanted sounds interesting. I'm not that into pop as Mina is.....but as a addition to the current trend of conversation....here's my input. I'm not that much into rock also...because I don't really listen much. But there are some popular songs of La'Arc En Ciel and X Japan, that I've listen to and liked. I like Utada Hikaru...for her techno kinda beat. Ayumi Hamasaki....nearly the same reason as Utada Hikaru, but then again maybe for the melody of some of Ayumi's songs that I like. Yoko Kanno's music compositions are great.....very inspiriring. Megumi Hayashibara....I really love the way she's a seiyuu and a great singer.

But for the majority of the time. I'm mostly a these fan. I love listening to the themes or background music for any anime or game that I'm into for the moment. Or anything that sounds pretty like Yoko Kanno or the Final Fantasy X-2 songs of Kouda Kumi.

Sorry for sounding kinda weird there....but feeling very lightheaded. Altho I think I've been sounding like a ditz. Been trying to finish typing a term paper for my Socl class dued on Tuesday and it's giving me a headache.

The semester is nearly over for me....I'm right now just wanting to go back home...and not have to worry about things...but there are so many things to worry about. Finals, papers, packing.....shoot....I'm deciding whether or not I like my roomate that much at all. In situations she's so double faced.

Also as of now....I'm still trying to pin point or decipher whether or not Kei (Onegai Sensai) is suffering from hikikomori.

I have some one mp3 from Shiina Ringo from way back when, but I haven't listened to it since, so I don't remember how she sounds^^  She sounds like the rockish type from the samples I heard off her site.  I'm much more the poppish and new agey type, though.  I love the surreal quality of the music Yoko Kanno composes (and that Maaya Sakamoto sings)^^  Right now one othe poppy vocal front, I'm obsessed with Real Emotion!  I listen to it several times a day.  Literally.  Usually, I would be sick of a song after listening to it for the amount of weeks that I have been, but not this one.  I even like the off vocal version!

No one's mentioned Ella Enchanted.  I think it sounds neat; come see it with me!  Or else you will be subjected to...err...to...um...a curse of fleas on any pet you will own or own now!  Yeah, I can do that!...Okay, no I can't...

Yup...when May movies show up....that signifies that Summer begins. Well...next weekend when X2 get's released. I'm going off to Plymouth for a camping trip.....to see whales....;_:.... Right now I'm looking at May 13 getting back....would people want to go see X2 with me as well as Matrix Reloaded. I'm definitely going to see both movies so..... ;b

I got my Shiina Ringo CD today ^_^ This is the best album by a recording artist I've heard in a long time. Despite the fact that I don't understand what she's saying, that is. I will upload a track sometime soon for your listening pleasure. BTW, I lost that Afro Ken auction.

It sounds like the 2nd OVA to me. I don't think Watsuki would continue the story after what happened to Kenshin... >_< *sniff*

I'm surprised that Viz and Tokyopop licensed so many titles recently. I bought a lot of those manga. I haven't buy a Japanese manga in a very long time. The manga I've been looking forward into the most is Petshop of Horrors. I love the show, especially Count D ^.^ Another manga I've been looking forward into is The Kindaichi Case Files. The mysteries are very unique. I bought the bilingual version of it and read it all at once. I wonder if they would continue translate all 30+ books, since the bilingual version stopped translate the rest... I want to buy the Japanese ones but I wouldn't know what's happening. I couldn't decide on my favorite manga... There's so many choices, but I narrowed it down to Planet Ladder, Digimon, and Magic Knight Rayearth.
--this blog was glomped by Aya on Monday, April 21, 2003 at 01:42 a.m.

You mean there's another OVA after the one where Kenshin gets that disease and dies or are you talking about that one?

It's a great year for English translated manga, isn't it?  Not only is Viz putting out this new, smaller, cheaper format, but they have a whole bunch of great new titles!  Basara, Wedding Peach, Flame of Recca, Hana Yori Dango, etc.  And Tokyopop is even doing Korean titles!  Ah, it's a great age for a fan to live in.  What titles that have been licensed are you all looking forward to the most?  I'm really looking forward to Demon Diary since it seems to fall into the fantasy category, it's something I've never experienced before so it's fresh, and the artwork is nice^^  What's everyone's currently licensed and released favorite?  Planet Ladder is interesting IMO cuz there's more of that fantasy stuff and everything that happened so far was really unexpected, so it's always exciting.  I never would have guessed that Kagami and Kaguya were siblings.

Has anyone heard anything about the new kenshin OVA. I mean they were supose to come out in japan last year. After that I did not hear a thing about them, has anyone heard anything?

I think I like LiDoJi more; it seems to flow better^___^

I think you should have liked Afro Ken last year instead cuz now there's hardly any stuff left of him in Chinatown^^;;  Lots of Pucca, though!  And Yu-gi-oh; stupid fanboys are always getting in my way>_<  I'm a short person, but I want to see the cards, too!
