This is my first group blog. I hope to have fun and share my insanity while I'm at it. I love Fruits Basket and Yuki and elves with blonde hair (~_~).

I think that "LiDoJi, JiDoLi" dont sound half bad.

Well...there's me in NYC. Spring Break for me....now I'm logging my entry at Mina's. Aya's also here...

I feel bad for you...Christine... I was nearly dying upstate at the lack of good Chinese food. But it's quiet at your college right? Not that much shopping opportunities right? I'm going to be dead broke soon.

I'm not sure....why I would consider both Star Wars and LOTR...only that both are trilogies. I guess that I just want to wait until all three movies come out.

Mina had now in real life asked me why I'm so anxious to watch HP in coming out for every year, then for LOTR and I just reply that HP is more important.

I remember one time I was auctioning for this one book...I lost....

Oh yeah, there is a movie from Disney I want to see when it comes out^^  In the tradition of Monsters Inc., Toy Story, Bug's Life, etc.; now there's Finding Nemo!  The commercial made me laugh with the...errr..."surfer dude" attitude of the fish^^
--this blog was glomped by Mina on Saturday, April 12, 2003 at 01:05 a.m.

Where would you get the idea that Star Wars and LotR are anything alike?  One is a sci-fi adventure and the other is more traditional fantasy (I think Tolkein may have set the precedent for a traditional fantasy).  If you really have to associate it with something popular with the masses, it would be Harry Potter, not Star Wars.  I haven't seen any Star Wars other than the latest movie (Episode 2?) and that was because Natalie Portman's outfits looked really nice in it and I wanted to see romance bloom between her and Anikin^^  The romance was nothing to speak of, though.  It seemed so forced>_<

I hate losing on auctions not because I want the item that much, but because I want to beat out the other person^^;;  I remember our professor once told us that the reason Ebay is so addictive because it combines the pleasures of gambling and shopping all in one.

If I remember, I'll browse around Elizabeth Center and see what Afro Ken plushies there are^^  Ooh, speaking of which, there's a bunch of San-X pencil boards I want to get at Kinokuniya now!  I wish there were anime ones there, too.

...Why in the world would invisible mean the same as italics?  Do you need me to get you a dictionary?  And how would italics help the non-spoiling any?

(begin highlight)LeBranc dances really well in the FFX-2 intro.(end highlight)

Yes, it was a cute Afro Ken plushie but someone outbid me so I have to give it up *_* Oh well. I wish I could go back to NYC but I'll be here until May. I would like to see the Pirates movie ecevn so. It will be out in July. And, I'm not sure if you can compare LOTR to Star Wars at all. One is adapted from an actual published trilogy and the other isn't. Besides, Tolkien's LOTR is considered a classic and was one of the most read books next to the Bible during the 20th century. The subject matter of LOTR is just very different too so, just because Star Wars was the last big scifi/fantasy film trilogy we shouldn't make assumptions. I don't think there will be any Lord of the Rings episode 1, 2, and 3 after Return of The King comes out. I would say, just watch it sometimes. It's a great movie.. Whether you love fantasy or you just enjoy great cinema. Peter Jackson is a good director. The Star Wars prequels don't compare at all. I'm not sure the first three movies do either.
--this blog was glomped by Christina on Friday, April 11, 2003 at 12:46 p.m.

Ahhh....that's a cute plush.....I wish there was something similar for Choco Cat....oh well.

Well....because sometimes.....I like to go in paricular order of reading and watching movies. There's so much movies out there that I would be broke if I would say that I want to go watch them all in the movie theater. LOTR is something I rather not watch at all...because I think it's turning out like Star Wars and I don't even like that series. I can't really think of a movie now where I enjoyed it the otherway around... I might be able to think of ones later tho.

If Xenosaga is going to be as hard to play as Xenogears then I'm not going to play it soon....tho the art may look great and all...if the game is hard and without a strategy guide...I'm dead meat. I'm not a good player...so....

I'm not going to go see Pirates of the Caribbean...and what would you mean by invisible...do you mean italics?

Anyway...tomorrow I'm going back to NYC...so...hehe....be on the lookout for any plans...next week....

Partially i agree with Mina that some movies are much better then manga, but usualy its otherwise. Book or manga just dont leave out 1/2 of the things and it is the original plot. Good example is berserk, there is manga and anime. Anime is based on politics and war, but manga is based on adventure, fights and little of politics, but both are good. Btw breath of fire 2 is quite of a good game, i presume you are talking about the snes one. Pirates of the Caribbean - is that a disnay movie? A movie or a cartoon? Not sure but i might go and check it out, sounds interesting. Who here saw The dream catchers? Not bad of a movie.
--this blog was glomped by Cadet on Thursday, April 10, 2003 at 11:54 p.m.

Why do you have to read the books in order to see the movie?  You watch anime without having read the manga first (Whisper of the Heart, KareKano, etc.).  There are some times where I enjoy the movie and then the book not as much.  The Princess Bride is one.  The movie is a light-hearted comedy, good for a laugh and a nice smile at the romantic scenes, but the book seems to be full of ridiculous events bordering on fantasy, but not quite (which is what makes it so ridiculous), which doesn't even redeem itself at the end because of the rather unhappy way it left off.  Anybody else enjoy a movie more than the book?  (Books that are written because of a movie do not count in the answer; the movie has to be adapted from the book, not the other way around.  In other words, anybody like the adaptation more than the original?)

If you want to put more spoilers, you could make it an "invisible" font that requires us to highlight^^  By the way, I think Kitty does have a console; she has mentioned playing FFX before.

I think you should play Xenowhatever even without playing the other Xenowhatsit as long as you're interested.  I started Breath of Fire II (cuz it looked a bit prettier^^) without having finished the first Breath of Fire^^  It's bad to put off playing games that you want to play just because you haven't finished something else from before it (unless you're actually planning to finish it soon) cuz then they'll come out with better-looking games and then you won't even want to play the ones that you put off anymore>_<

How many of you are going to see Pirates of the Caribbean?  I don't want to be left out^^;;  Besides, it's from Disney and I like Disney and Disney can't be all that scary...they really should have better pictures in their gallery.

Look at what I'm bidding on ^_^ Afro Ken Koi Yes, I like Afro Ken. I discovered him not too long ago. Though he has been around for some time...

Well...I don't think that not seeing LOTR.... is being deprived of something. It's just not in my interest to get imensed in it. However, I could say that if I ever read the books, then I would go see the movies. But as of now...there's now way I'm going to want to see the movies without reading the books. That is just not put.

Sorry about putting that much spoilers for FFX-2. I didn't mean to make you not want to play it. I did warn people that I would be placing spoilers up. Mina did ask..however when she's not on. I found out more...I was too excited and wanted to share.

I'm still wanting to go buy and play the game, just because it's pretty! Also...I'm just guessing at the synoposis, based on the movies I've watched of the game. So I might not even be true! Don't take my word for something that is not confirmed!

Slimy knows that I'm putting spoilers, but he doesn't even care. He's just sitting around and ignoring what I'm saying. He wants to play too, for what motives he has, I'm not too sure.....Mina never played FFX: because she does not like consoles, Neko, Aya and Cadet doesn't have consoles to play, so it looks like only me, Slimy and you wanting to play the game. Please don't make me not want to make you not want to play the game... >_<

I'm a bit intrigued by the game Xenosagas. It looks cute...yet I never got past Xenogears, so I'm not really looking to play said game.....
--this blog was glomped by miz on Tuesday, April 8, 2003 at 09:02 a.m.

Yes I do like Orlando Bloom *_* It looks like a good movie though. Maybe I would see it even if he wasn't in it. But, I can't believe Miz hasn't seen LOTR yet. That's like being deprived *_* I notice you're posting a lot of ffx-2 spoilers. Maybe we shouldn't do that ^_^;; I'm just losing more interest in the game everyday. I can't wait to play Xenosaga, however.

That part where Lenne and Shuuin are running from the guards reminds me of that mini Ayumi Hamasaki movie where she was supposed to be a sacrifice, but fell in love, so they tried to run away together^^  Do you think Lenne could have been some sort of sacrifice and Shuuin was trying to save her?  Sounds a little like Magic Knight Rayearth when put that way, huh?^^

Yeah, the music does seem to have gone downhill, doesn't it?  For FFXI and FFX-2, the soundtracks are only two discs long!  FFX had so many beautiful tracks (for a game) in it, such as North Pole People, but X, XI, and X-2 didn't have any tracks that impressed me as much.  I'm obsessed with the beaty Real Emotion and the orchestrated version of 1000 no Kotoba, though^^  I have to get a Koda Kumi album^^  After Golden Sun 2 and Lufia:  Ruins of Lore.

Are you only interested in this because of him?:p  I rode the ride lots of times at Disney World!  The movie looks a little scary, though>_<
--this blog was glomped by Mina on Monday, April 7, 2003 at 11:32 p.m.

Oooohh..I just figured out another connection with the Lenne/Shuin connection with Yuna. I think that Lenne/Shuin was part of the original Zanarkend...where Tidus was from, however they died.... I think Shuin was a rebel and that's why they were shot.
--this blog was glomped by miz on Monday, April 7, 2003 at 10:10 p.m.

Hey....Kouda Kumi looks like Lenne....!
--this blog was glomped by miz on Monday, April 7, 2003 at 10:02 p.m.

However....hey...I just found out some interesting news/spoilers for the game. Well...there is more then one ending....so that means there's mini-games galore.

Also about Shuin and Lenne. Apparently they were spirits that existed a 1000 years ago, however...they were killed. Somehow Lenne's spirit house herself within Yuna, hence this is a bit like a Yunalesca (Riona/Squall) situation.

I'm not even sure how to explain it. But the ending for them is that they (Shuin and Lenne) are reunited in spirit-form and Yuna is alone...but still with Paine and Rikku. That's the good ending, shows them flying off on the airship.

Perhaps it's true then....Tidus was nothing more then then dream...so that makes him not real. Hmmm...so the one in the sphere globe in that mini-movie has got to be Shuin then...ne Mina?
--this blog was glomped by miz on Monday, April 7, 2003 at 09:54 p.m.

Ahh..so Christine...you're a Orlando Bloom fan. Because that is the next movie he's going to be in. However...I'm not going to even go there, becuase I have never watch LOTR, hence I wouldn't know what to say.

True...I know the ending of FFX-2 lacked the umph...but I had wanted a happy ending! The plot sucked then. If it's not real, then they should at least have a happy ending. What was the point then for Yuna? They dragged out her lonliness too long.

I can't believe that that man who was the Tidus-look alike, turned out to be evil or something. Tho the verbal speech was in Japanese, it was apparent that he was hurting Yuna.

Also I'm not saying bad about the game. I'm in agreement that the game would be one of the best and the prettiest. The transformation sequences are very flashy, in the place of Aeon appearances. ;>

You're also right Christine: in saying that the game music is not really great. I heard the entire game soundtrk and decided not to throw $50 in buying the OST. There are however in my opinion a total of about five good simlar trks tho.
--this blog was glomped by miz on Monday, April 7, 2003 at 09:03 p.m.

Hi all ^_^ Thanks for greeting me. You know that's what I was waiting for, he he. Anyway, I know ffx-2 seems to be the topic of discussion but have you seen this. As for ffx-2 the ending lacked umph but the gameplay should be okay. This will disappoint some of you but the general consensus is that the music isn't quit up to par either.

Welcome, Christina ^.^ Miz and Mina told me that you're joining.

Yea, I knew about the clock in the rom. There's the patch in the site where I downloaded. The berries didn't matter to me. I just want to play the whole story ^.^
--this blog was glomped by Aya on Sunday, April 6, 2003 at 08:53 p.m.

Actually I did know that Christine was around, however she has yet to make a entry in the main page of the blog, I though I'll wait until she makes her first entry. However if you say so....then Welcome to isol Christine!

Yup....that's what I noticed about the game. Also...I was a little sad, when I realized that I couldn't play Pokemon Sapphire...T_T.

Oh....well...as for spoilers for the sake of only you saying that you wanted to be spoiled for the ending. I'll give a bit of a teaser. Ask me on AIM...or something if I'm not busy. But for now....something for you to nibble on.

The FFX-2 ending....your fears are sorta confirmed. I have yet to watch the Credit/Good ending one....but I saw the ending .mov and it is another quite bittersweet ending..... so it's kinda disappointing...story/plot wise...but I'm sure the game will be fantastic....
--this blog was glomped by miz on Sunday, April 6, 2003 at 12:46 p.m.

Let's all welcome Christina!  I bet none of you even noticed she joined:p

Does the error say something about the internal battery running dry?  That only affects the time, meaning time won't run properly cuz a rom doesn't keep track of the clock the same way a cartridge does (but there's a patch for Ruby, I hear).  Time doesn't affect anything much in the game, though; just the growing of berries.  You can still play the game perfectly fine without the proper running clock as long as you don't want to grow berries and make blocks^^

Speaking of roms, yes, I love SNES RPG's!  I want every single one of them ported to the GBA!  They're actually porting Tales of Phantasia, woohoo!

Of course I want FFX-2 spoilers!  Tell me everything you know!  It would be heartbreaking for them to make a sequel and then have another bittersweet end>_<

For those of you that don't know, Leslie Cheung was a prominent Hong Kong singer/actor and he jumped off a building a few days ago.  Suicide...or murder?  You decide!
