I was surprised that Mina know so much about Yugioh. I think I'm going to get obsess too. Yay, finally another obsession ^.^ I think I'm going to get the whole first series of it... I thought the first series is before the Duel Monsters one until I saw the episode when Kaiba is trying to get the BEWD. I can't wait until Saturday because Yugi is going to win the battle against Pegasus. I love reading spoilers ^.^

Aii,the lab computer is so screwy. The keyboard is messed up. I didn't know that u gals knew so much about Yu-Gi-Oh and I'm surprised that so many of you are fanatics except for Mina. Cool.
--this blog was glomped by sLiMy on Thursday, October 3, 2002 at 05:41 p.m.
Waaggghh,
stop calling one the Japanese version and the other the American! They're both
Japanese! If you're gonna refer to the "American version" then refer to it in
the sense that they paint out all the guns so that the guards are all pointing
deadly fingers and stupid lines make Jounouchi sound like an idiot>_< The
series you watch on the WB is Yu-gi-oh! Duel Monsters while the series I
lent you is Yu-gi-oh! and referred to as the Millennium Puzzle Series by
fans for some reason. That's the first series that came out. I've heard say
that the reason it's animated so poorly is cuz the budget was blown on big-name
actors, but I flipped through the first tankoubon and Book Off and I think the
animation looks pretty much like the artwork in the first few volumes. For the
second time, it's not continuous with the Duel Monsters series, so if you
try to match the events in both the series together, it won't work out (Kaiba
can't steal the BEWD and destroy it twice). Personally, I like the Duel
Monsters series more^^
Oooh, didn't that girl also say something about Kaiba?^____^
--this blog was glomped by Mina on Wednesday, October 2, 2002 at 11:17 p.m.
I'm the one who said that the epic was cut in the American version... It was just a surprise to me in chapter 1 of Yugioh that (and 2,3,and4) one character was missing from the american version... their personalities was way off, Yami yugi turns the monster to life with the duel against kaiba (which he has green hair!) and kaiba was surprise tat the cards can come alive... the american version was that yami yugi was surprise when he saw duel monsters alive (projectively) while dueling with kaiba(brown hair) with his invention thingy... does this make sense? My point is tat the jap and american version plot is different kinda... also rememba Grandpa's blue eyes white dragon card was suppose to get torn by kaiba in american version but in jap version, yami yugi got his grandpa's card back from kaiba with tat duel.... am i still makin any sense? do u get my point of the differences...?
--this blog was glomped by Neko on Wednesday, October 2, 2002 at 06:28 p.m.
Yea, Megumi Otada's voice is so cool when she does Yami Yugi's voice. I never knew about the first series until Mina told me about it. It solved my mystery of how can I saw the first episode in the Duel Monsters series in HK and the tv guide said they played it in the previous Saturdays. I thought the person sitting next to Neko says it's not shown in US...I could be wrong...
--this blog was glomped by Aya on Tuesday, October 1, 2002 at 07:46 p.m.
I thought you knew? Weren't you the one trying to tell people that it's
the series they didn't show in the US?^^; It's the first series, and it
was done by a different company and stuff. It's not continuous with the
Duel Monsters series (errrm...you can't really call one the Japanese version and
the other the American version cuz the Duel Monsters series is also
Japanese...). Yeah, the card playing is different cuz in the beginning of
the manga, it wasn't really focused on the card-playing, instead it was more on
games in general, so the card game wasn't as flashy and stuff. Yami Yugi
looks creepy, but isn't his voice sooooo cool?^__^ Kaiba's is better,
though! Midorikawa-sama!!!
Lessee...So far I've written three reviews: one for the Vampire
Princess Miyu OVA, the first Fushigi Yuugi set (Suzaku box), and the
FFX set, all from the company titled MI.
--this blog was glomped by Mina on Monday, September 30, 2002 at 10:54 p.m.
ooo i hab a question bout Yugioh... how come the jap version is soo different from the american ones? The personality is different... umm one character is missing in the av... and kaiba's hair is green in jv... Yugi the yami yugi personality is different too... the card playin' thingy is different... there's more... oo but it'll get complicated if i type it...
--this blog was glomped by Neko on Monday, September 30, 2002 at 07:48 p.m.
Itz cool Miz. They're not that hard, just tricky. I found that question in the chemistry part of an MCAT exam. It was the only one that I missed...baka me! Anyways, whatz with dual/duel? Too much YuGiOh or something? Your move!
--this blog was glomped by sLiMy on Monday, September 30, 2002 at 01:42 p.m.
Hehe...sorry...well I did mean to say dual.
Concerning my history professor...standing in front of the class...and listening to him dissect The Odyssey is enough to make you sick. He has this kind of voice that is kinda grating and annoying to the ears....that's why he's runing the book.
Slimy, I didn't answer your question because I thought it was a hard question and I didn't want to sit there and answer a math qustion when I'm already learning enough math as it already is...with my teacher giving out tons of homework and expecting a lab every week.
Mina...what reviews did you write on that site?
Hmmm.... I'm also submitted some anime reviews to here... I don't think it's up yet...
--this blog was glomped by miz on Sunday, September 29, 2002 at 07:45 p.m.
Now how is everyone doing here? Aww, y don't u gals try to answer my question? Well Mina is a good sport. The answer is water since 1 gram of water takes up 1 mL of space and 1 gram of mercury takes up 1/13.53 mL. Oh yeah, for the mooncake question, I prefer the ones without the yolk better. Sushi with wasabi.....ah i remember the time when i had a sushi wasabi contest with a friend. It ended up as a draw...but hey it was real fun esp. when u look at the other person a see that they have tears coming down. I not super crazy about it thou. I know a person who drinks wasabi-concentrated soy sauce...thatz just stupid.
--this blog was glomped by sLiMy on Saturday, September 28, 2002 at 10:40 p.m.
I do take LotR as a light read. I don't memorize the history that they explain in the beginning of the book. I don't think I paid attention when I was reading them. The rest of the story is good. I finished reading the first half of the book.
I don't put any wasabi with sushi. I just don't like eating food that's hot.
--this blog was glomped by Aya on Saturday, September 28, 2002 at 10:01 p.m.
Oh yeah, neat review^^ I wrote a few technical (non-plot) reviews at
Import-Anime if anyone wants to read
any of those^^
--this blog was glomped by Mina on Saturday, September 28, 2002 at 08:58 p.m.
Okay, you've got to stop calling it "duel"; that's a word to describe when
Yugi and Kaiba go against each other>_> What you mean is "dual" as in
double.
I thought LotR was a light read. Yeah, there are ways to analyze it and
stuff, but I didn't do that. I just read it for the fun of the story,
which is why it was a light read. It's like if I decided to read Tale
of Two Cities on my own or something, it would be light to me cuz I wouldn't
have to think about all the meanings behind everything; I would just continue
reading to further my amusement. Oooh, how did your teacher ruin the idea
of The Odyssey anyway? I remember in Murrow, the English classes
and social studies classes seemed to be tied rather close together cuz when we
learned about a certain period in SS, we would read stuff from the same period
in English.
I only have wasabi on sushi and that's after I've mixed it in with soy sauce^^
Oh yeah, and I think a gram of water takes up more space...Hey, why doesn't
anyone else try to answer?!
--this blog was glomped by Mina on Saturday, September 28, 2002 at 08:55 p.m.
Hiya peeps...!
Sorry for not dropping in for a while now...
To answer the moon cake survey question. I happen to like the one with the yolk in it. Mom been buying that since I was very young. But then again sometimes it depends on the mood. I do like the filling around the yolk. I think it's a lotus bean filling. So I like any moon cake there is....very unsatisfying answer right?
Well, in the summer there are plenty of movies, that would come out, but it's a general economic idea to play the movies as close as possible, near the time of Oscars. So, it may leave a lasting image in the viewer and the Academy's mind. But then again...mostly economics and projection is tied into when to show movies...The movie may suck y'kno... but with the big star's name. It's going to garner box office rates, with people not on vacation.
As for a college majoring in anime drawing.....hehe.... try Japan.....tho I did hear, one time that there was a course offered for discussion about Kaze no Tanei no Nausicaa in a Texas University/College. Hmmm..right now my friend is taking a course in her college, stuying the works of the guy who wrote The Lord of the Rings book series. A discussion class...
Hey Aya...at least you're trying to read LoTR....I quit reading that series....after a fifth or sixth attempt to even get into that series...it's tedious enough...when you pick something out for a light read and it turns into something like a school assigned book. That's it... I don't like my History Professor....! He's acting like a freaking English Lit Teacher....shit....ruining the idea of The Odessey! ><
Hmm....I didn't even know that Burger King's got Chili now... hmmm... be glad at least it ain't like the chili they serve in Nathan's Coney Island. That is the worst thing I ever had... There was no flavor, it tasted so bland. I even added in the Spicy peper packags they had. It was not taste at all... tasted and looked sorta like poop... hmm...I'm picturing the scene they had in Oliver Twist, where Oliver asked for more gruel.
I'm not even going to debate what Slimy says....hehe...but I can eat hot stuff...as long as it not that hot...somewhere along the line of bits of wasabi would be fine for me.
Other then being sooooo-stressed out from college... I forgot to mention in my own blog, that I've just declared recently a dual major....in Philosophy and Sociology.
Oooh...I also wrote a review...take a look ppl. It's here!
--this blog was glomped by miz on Saturday, September 28, 2002 at 07:47 p.m.
Heh, Mina has a premonition ^_^. I'll probably be popping up some questions as a semi-weekly thing so that u gals won't go brain dead or something...itz the best thing I can do when I'm not there to make u gals think and sweat lol! Besides they're interesting, eh? The only thing I'm saying about this question is "there's more than what meets the eye." This is actually the first cool question I've tasted in college so far, not that the professor introduced it, but I was curious and read just something....
--this blog was glomped by sLiMy on Wednesday, September 25, 2002 at 12:05 a.m.
Heeey, a gram is a gram, isn't it? So it's the same. Isn't it?
Waagghh, tell me it is! My sanity of and grasp of what's real rests on
this answer...Okay, no, not really, but I always doubt myself when I give this
kind of an answer^^ It's like...too easy...
My mouth is very sensitive! I can't stand stuff that's really hot...yep,
yep, chili like this just perfect for me^^ I eat it in summer, too.
Well, the place is conditioned, so that's all right^^
--this blog was glomped by Mina on Tuesday, September 24, 2002 at 11:16 p.m.
Lol...chili. Too bad they don't have those what cha ma call it, "the hottest peppers in the world" in them. The best time and the time I enjoy eating chili the most is during the winter. It keeps you hot while its cool lol. Now how about a little something to keep ur brain running eh?
The density of water is 0.9970g/mL at 25 degrees C. The density of mercury is 13.53g/mL at 25 degrees C. What takes up more space? 1 gram of water or 1 gram of mercury?
--this blog was glomped by sLiMy on Tuesday, September 24, 2002 at 03:58 p.m.
Burger King has chili now...it tastes like Wendy's chili; guess there isn't
really a way to go wrong with chili^^
--this blog was glomped by Mina on Monday, September 23, 2002 at 11:13 p.m.
Yep, yep, neither have I^^ There are books that will teach you how to
draw anime and manga style, though! In fact, you don't even need those
since my friend drew just fine without them. Oooh, see
one of her works from
her freshman year in HS^^ She can do a lot better now, though. I
like this one that she did of
Sailor Moon a
couple of years ago.
I don't think you're slow, Aya...it's a long book with tiny writing (well, it
was tiny in the copy I read)^^ The beginning with all the history is kinda
boring, which is why I didn't read those other tales that are supposed to enrich
your understanding of Middle-Earth (I forgot what those books were called,
though). I read it all on my own without any recommendations having never
heard of it before and not really reading any fantasies before that! I
have good taste^^
Happy belated Mooncake Day^^
--this blog was glomped by Mina on Sunday, September 22, 2002 at 12:55 a.m.
I never heard of a college that teaches you to draw anime...unless you go to Japan ^.^ For the mooncake poll, I like the one without the yolk. The yolk doesn't taste good. I do like Hikaru Midorikawa's voice, but not obsess with it. There isn't a specific voice actors that I like. I like Tomokazu Seki, and Megumi Hayashibara. Ai Maeda's voice is okay but I like her songs. I'll watch any movie. But I really want to watch the Harry Potter one. I don't remember most of the events in the book though... Maybe I'll watch LotR. I'm still reading the first book. (I know I'm slow. I still haven't read the forth Harry Potter one.) But I want to read the second LotR before watching the movie.
--this blog was glomped by Aya on Friday, September 20, 2002 at 09:51 p.m.
I was wondering... is there such thing as a college where they teach u to draw anime? Like a major in drawing anime... If there is... what college is tat? (college's name, area...etc) I just want to know(badly)^-^
--this blog was glomped by Neko on Friday, September 20, 2002 at 06:32 p.m.
Okay, so in the summer when there were lots of opportunities to see movies
with friends, there wasn't really anything I want to see. Now there's
like, a whole bunch>_< Let's see them during winter vacation! I
wanna see Harry Potter, LotR, Sweet Home Alabama, and Tuck
Everlasting! Well, I can't afford everything, though...we can pick and
choose from whatever's still showing^__^ I want to see Tuck Everlasting
the most, though. My friend told me there was a book (and made me ask for
it at the store when she was the one that wanted to buy it...heh heh, well I get
other people to do stuff like that for me, so it evens out...).
--this blog was glomped by Mina on Thursday, September 19, 2002 at 11:23 p.m.
Oh yeah, Miz, I did that subtitling thing for Nadia...it was rather
easy...what was it you couldn't do?

Pearl likes it without the egg, too! Suzanne said she likes it with a
single egg...are there some with double?O_o
--this blog was glomped by Mina on Thursday, September 19, 2002 at 11:16 p.m.
Well, you are aware that he does eventually get rescued, right?^^; It
really shows his caring for Mokuba by not battling him! This is the little
brother he cared for all his (well...Mokuba's) life and he doesn't want to fight
him. It's anime; the emotions are always stronger^__^ I don't see
why he thought those Duel Discs would be able to help him win anyway...cuz they
hide the players' faces? Yeah, I guess since Kaiba doesn't really know
about the Eye, he would think that that would hide his emotions and whatever^^
Did you know the same person who does Brock and James's voices in English does
Kaiba's also? Of course it's better in Japanese! Originals are
always better^^ Of course, his voice much better in the Millenium Puzzle
series...but...I didn't like the green hair...or the school uniform^^;
--this blog was glomped by Mina on Thursday, September 19, 2002 at 11:14 p.m.
Kaiba.... hummm... isn't he still trapped in that shadow card thingy that peagusus(dunno how to spell tat name...)did with this eye thingy.... hummm.... he's weird..lol... hehehe... i dunno... why would he not duel with his lito bro if he could save his life! i mean... his lito bro is not himself too! He could at least duel him! ...... =..... i dunno... it's weird..... n his hair looks weird.. his voice sounds weird too... mayb it's betta if it is a jap version... =....
--this blog was glomped by Neko on Wednesday, September 18, 2002 at 06:28 p.m.
Oh yeah, I'm taking a survey, sort of. It's mooncake time, right?
What kind do you guys like better? The orignal kind, the melon kind, the
kind with yolk in it, etc.? I like the original lotus paste ones without
yolk. No yolk means more cake!^^ That's what Nancy and the Chinese
librarian at Kings Highway think, too...
--this blog was glomped by Mina on Tuesday, September 17, 2002 at 11:18 p.m.
Well, I've literally been talking about nothing but Kaiba for a few days now,
so if anyone would like to have a conversation based on that, I'll gush
incessantly^^ It's not really necessary to continue talking throughout the
whole AIM process...sometimes I'm on there for hours and even after striking up
a conversation with someone, I've only said a very few lines (well...by
comparison to an actual chat) by the time I'm off. You know, stuff
happens, like looking at Kaiba...reading about Kaiba...and then you go back to
the flashing message screen to see if the person was talking about Kaiba.^____^
Of course it's better to talk in person! Then I can show you Kaiba in my
manga!^_____^
--this blog was glomped by Mina on Tuesday, September 17, 2002 at 11:16 p.m.
Hmmm.....if anyone sees me online....please pardon me for this reflective insight. Generally AiM is a nice thing...but heed this...
I generally don't really like to talk on it too long. To me...usally on AiM, if I know a person personally...and after the inital "How are you doing?" and "Whatcha been up to?" sticke....
Conversations generally drag. That's one of the main reasons, why I generally don't talk too long. I think it's a better thing to talk in person...don't minna agree?
--this blog was glomped by miz on Tuesday, September 17, 2002 at 06:42 p.m.
hummm... me listens.... me just dunno teh answers to ur many questions.... =T
--this blog was glomped by Neko on Monday, September 16, 2002 at 06:17 p.m.
Hmmm.... I wouldn't know anything about the questions you're asking for Mina... Hmmm..and I say that I do listen sometimes to what you're actually yakking about...
However, I think I know the answer for the first questions....you must be sooo proud! Hehe...
But as for favorite voice actress....which I also could gush about the whole day would have to be Megumi Hayashibara. Love her for the roles she voiced for Ranma, Lina and Faye... also her voice.... now that's a true idol star...she's sooo cute... >_<
--this blog was glomped by miz on Monday, September 16, 2002 at 12:20 p.m.
Do any of you have a favorite voice actor?^^ I could gush about mine
all day! Okay...well, not really, but I could gush about his character all
day. Well...okay, and it's not actually his character since it's a
different series, but...waagghhh, nevermind!
Hrrm...I think Aya will probably always come out on top with the quizzes^^
She's the one that listens to me most when I talk about useless stuff!
--this blog was glomped by Mina on Sunday, September 15, 2002 at 02:17 a.m.
Yay, another quiz. And I know the answer to question 3 ^.^ I'm so proud of myself. I still need to do some research on the first two.
--this blog was glomped by Aya on Friday, September 13, 2002 at 10:51 p.m.
O_O prize? [hummm....] o well... not like i know teh answers... hummm..... [thinking] nope nothin' comin in my head...
--this blog was glomped by Neko on Friday, September 13, 2002 at 07:26 p.m.
Ooh, let's celebrate the archive by having another quiz^^ Prize this
time is the first volume of Metuki no Venus!
1. Name two shoujo manga titles in which the main character transforms
into an older version of herself (and can transform back). You may not use
the answers that were given on the previous quiz.
2. Name two shoujo manga titles in which the main character is "kidnapped"
and given a makeover.
3. Who voiced Sanosuke in the Rurouni Kenshin CD drama? Who did the
voice actor play in the Fushigi Yuugi TV anime?
4. Who voiced Seto Kaiba in the first Yu~gi~oh! series? Who
did the voice actor play in the Fushigi Yuugi TV anime?
