Soooo, since I got everyone so interesting in Hong Kong DVD's today (gotta have someone to obsess with!), I might as well post the review links I have.  There's a messageboard where you can ask stuff here.  Read the stickies first, though^^

What DVD's does everyone plan to buy?  Me, I want Yu~gi~oh! (duh), Inuyasha, Pretear, and a bunch of other stuff!

Ooh, u kinda need html, like for line breaks or bolding and links and stuff^^  You can find info about most Ribon titles at the Ribon Project.  Easy to navigate, I'm sure you know what to do^^

Waagghh, life is cruel, no Yu~gi~oh! DVD's for meT_T  Nightmares come true...well, not really, my nightmares about never getting to the store, not about it not actually being there, but close enough.  So someone out there is walking around with my TV series!  I hate them, I hate them-_-  Whenever I get psyched up to buy it, there it goes...

On the plus side, Kaiba's new outfit kinda grows on you...

Okie... I should be finalizing plans for the outing for tommorrow here...so if anyone is smart and even thinks of looking here. Then they would be knowing the details.

I'm making the meeting place tommorrow at Book off at the second floor around 11:30...(I'm only waiting there until 11:45-50 so minna better be there...)

Then, if there isn't any other plans. Going to Asahiya...to see if there's any new Furuba issues.
If Mina wants, then we could drop by Kinokudyia, but if looking at the time, then if she still needs to go to the bookstore at 23rd Street, then that would be a extra stop. A solution to grasp time, and not waste it, would be to skip Kinokudyia... >_<

Lastly, I'm looking to go to Chinatown, I've got to go and get a Star jar from Romance Beyond and maybe some more star paper. (Mina...be patient on getting the Yu-gi-oh DVD's)...we'll get there...

I'm picking to go to Chinatown last, because my grandma wants me to go buy fish from one of the many fish markets of Chinatown.

Bring or buy a Fun pass for the day. Lastly, eating lunch may be delayed. I'm planning to eat somewhere in Chinatown...namely Yummy Noodles.

That's the finalized and tentative plans for tommorrow...so see anyone there...also I'm probably going to bring a camera, so I'm going to perhaps, want to take a group pix. Something for me to bring up with me to College... ^-^

Okay, the outing's changed for Thursday, in case anyone other than Tofu-chan reads this:p  Heey, you want in on this?  Wow, I was literally having nightmares about the Yu-gi-oh! set not being there.  Two of them!  Every time I tried to go there, there were distractions and the store would be closed when I got there.

I don't think it's my influence on Nancy, but more her other friends^^;;  Except they pester her to get a Xanga...how ugly>_>

Btw....Mina...saw Mizuki's blog.... hehe...so u dragged her into doing stuff like this... hehe... good luck..

Also planning on going for an outing this Friday...to any of you on this pita...(excluding Aya...cuz u're in HK now, and can't do this).... anywhere minna want's to go?

Ooh, that's kind of a coincidence; I bought the TV Special and the movie the other day^^  Subs are horrible...well, not really the translation, although that's not so great either.  It's the timing that bothers me!  No words until way after what they said and then it's like a flash of a sentence>_>  Ooh, I actually found a store that sold the TV series!  I was afraid you would have bought it already, though, so I didn't get it.  Good thing, cuz I found the first volume of Andromeda later in the day!  Well, if you don't find them by next Friday (Saturday, where you are?), then don't bother cuz I'm gonna get them on the "big outing" Miz wants to go on.  If, however, I post again weeping that the store doesn't have it anymore, please try again^^  And if you find them before Friday, please post!^____^

What a coincidence about the DROM DVD's, though, cuz after I got home, I was gonna watch them immediately, but I also wanted to shower, so I took a little break and just turned on the TV to Fresh Prince and one of the actors from DROM was on it!^^;  I think he's kinda ugly, but Miz likes him...

Well, I did went to the one in Mong Kok. It's my first choice because there's so much stuff to see and want there. I did check the DVDs, but there's only the TV special and a movie... I can check in Tuen Wen. I didn't thought about that place.
::Aya::
--this blog was glomped on Friday, August 9, 2002 at 10:06 p.m.

I was browsing the boards.  So...if you're ever in these areas, Aya^_____^

In HK, you can find AC/MI, AS, AV (Fx also??) in "Sino Centre", a busy mall located in Mong Kok. Do check out 1st and 2nd floor (and 3rd also?).. There are a lot of anime stores and selling the DVDs like $7/disc.. also checkout those upper floors (11th or 12th, not sure..), the price will be more cheaper..

Other than Mong Kok, I think Tuen Wan (Spelling?? anyway the last Metro station) also.. there's a mall very close to the station.

And then someone asked if that was HK or US dollars.

That's US$.. the price is like HK$40-50 (per disc) for old iems and $50-60 for new items..

Ah, so that equals to around the same price as about two websites I found.  A lot of them don't charge that little, though>_<  Besides, now I'm scared about customs seizing the mail or something.

So if any of you guys want to come with us tomorrow, we're meeting at EC at 11!

~Mina~

Hey, we need a topic to talk about!  Something interesting...or stupid...whatever gets a response^___^  Yeah, well, I'm going textbook/other stuff shopping on Friday.  Anyone can come if they want.  Donna wants to.
~Mina~
--this blog was glomped on Tuesday, August 6, 2002 at 11:26 p.m.

All right, I guess it's not such a horror if you're unable to get the DVD's cuz I did some more hunting and found a couple of sites that sold it even cheaper than Chinatown (I hope they manage to stay in business)^^  Ooh, but if you are able to find it, that would still be neat, since it would probably be cheaper still^___^  Don't get that one w/ the cover that I said was different, though; someone said one of the eppies was cut off, though they're not sure if it was just a defective disc or what.  They also said the subs were very bad, like 30% understandable, though.
~Mina~
--this blog was glomped on Sunday, August 4, 2002 at 02:07 a.m.

Why do they have to do that with the mail?  Sounds stupid.  Is it some kinda security reason?  Even if it is, why's it gotta be like that?  Is your county too small or something?

Ooh, I actually found some forums that talk about the HK DVD's, so I can find out which ones are bad and stuff, yay!  I have a HK DVD obsession now!  Cheer for it!  I found the Yu-gi-oh movie for only seven bucks!  No such luck w/ the actual series, though>_>  I wish the company that did the subbed the movie would also sub the series (cuz some other company subbed the series) cuz they have a site w/ cheap prices^___^  Ah...Seto...I need to see you in a coat more often...That dumb school uniform by  itself doesn't look good>_>  Now Aoshi on the other hand, looks cool not only in his coat, but also his spiffy ninja outfit with the big bow!

I'll take a cap^^  I don't do headbands; they hurt my head>_>  Well..if they're the soft kind, then I'll take one of those, too^^  Not if it looks silly, though.  (Like it's all lacy and red or something.)  Hee, are you really gonna go pedal them in Chinatown?^___^

To all that apply:  good luck DVD hunting and talent-show hosting^_____^

Awww..sorry about not updating on the group blog... anyways....hi ppl!

Aya...didja get my letter and e-mail?

Oh...and so sorry about not writing you a letter, Mina...I'm not sure about snail mail anymore...didja know that everything from Oneonta has to be sent to Binghamton, which is 57 miles away from my college and then backwards...how dumb is that?! >_< ()

Oh...I was about to answer your poll thingy...just didn't have time.... >_< ().... I was thinking answers also...are you going to do another thingy like that? Or should I try my own hand at it...when I get my own chance?

As ppl should, know as I once again say.....I'm coming back home in a week...Also should know before I don't update my own blog....there's a talent show here at college and I'm going to be one of the person that is hosting...so hehehe..that's about it for now.... remember keep my blog page in mind as I may update...

I'll try my best to look for the DVDs ^.^ I haven't got obsess with any anime now. It's kinda boring.

Umm...do anyone want any caps or headbands? My father's friend gave me a big bag of them. He told me to sell them in Chinatown ^.^;;;

Oh, I found another store that has the same cover that isn't the one I normally see, but the summary is exactly the same, so is it just the same store?
~Mina~
--this blog was glomped on Friday, August 2, 2002 at 11:41 p.m.

I'm so heartbroken...they don't have the first season Yu-gi-oh DVD's at that store in Chinatown anymoreT_T  I did look online, but they want like $70 for it when that other store only charged forty-something!  I did find one store where it's only about $50, but the cover's different from all the other ones I saw.  It's not the movie, though, unless the movie takes up three discs>_>  The summary doesn't sound right either...Are they talking about Joey?  Cuz I don't think I ever saw the first episode...I mean, I did...I just think it wasn't actually the first eppy cuz wasn't the first eppy supposed to be about Yugi assembling the puzzle?

A "duelist" is someone who plays the card game "Duel Monsters". One day, a hapless kid wanders into a card store and buys a pack of "Duel Monsters" cards, after being taunted by some older kids, who told him he's too young to understand the game. His first pack of cards contains the Legendary Rare Card Red Eyes Black Dragon. The problem is, this card doesn't bring him victory ?it brings him the potential to win. He needs to find the card to bring him victory, but first he must find the courage to duel.

I'm counting on you, Aya, to find it!  But if not...that's okay^^  If you do, though, I'll be forever grateful!  I'll trade you my Ayu VCD plus the money I'd owe for it!

Oh yeah, here's the cover I saw in Chinatown.

And here's the cover that I saw online for $50, but doesn't match the one at any other online store I've seen...At least, I think it is.  I can't actually look at it right now cuz it's not working>_>

Seto Kaiba obsession is now stronger than ever!  Even if he did look hideous without his awesome coat...

Ooh, what a coincidence; my aunt had a baby girl^^  I've been getting reobsessed with Slayers.  Life's boring when you don't have one, so I had to get myself a new one since they don't seem to be showing any new Yu-gi-oh eppies and even if they did, Seto probably wouldn't be in them>_>
~Mina~

Yay, I won ^.^ I know most of the answers so I gave it a shot. Guess what! My cousin had a baby boy two days ago ^.^ I'm so excited. I can't wait to see him.

--this blog was glomped on Monday, July 29, 2002 at 10:23 p.m.

Hmph, you guys don't even try to win for the sake of winning, if not for the prizes-.-  Oh well, so I have one winner anyway.  I wanted to say only people who got them all completely right would win, but it's a good try, so I'll be nice^^  So here's Aya's answers!

1.  Who did Sakurai Tomo voice in the Rurouni Kenshin CD dramas?
Aya's answer:  Misao
This is the only one she answered that's totally wrong^^  Sakurai Tomo did voice Misao, but on the TV series!  She voiced Kaoru in the CD dramas.

2.  True or false:  The same person who voiced Shinji in Neon Genesis Evangelion also voiced Hayama in the Kodomo no Omocha TV series.
Aya's answer:  false
Yaaay, that was good!  There was a note on the fansub that said she did, but that turned out to be wrong.  I don't think Aya watched the VHS subs, though...

3.  Name two series that used any of Ayumi Hamasaki's songs (either as OP or ED or insert).
Aya's answer:  Inuyasha and Thousand Arms
Inuyasha
is right...but Thousand Arms isn't really right cuz it's not really a series.  It's just one game; I took the answer anyway, though.  Valiant effort!

4.  Name the Ayu songs from the two series you picked.
Aya's answer:  "Dearest" and "Depend on You"
Isn't "Dearest" a nice song?^__^

5.  Name two anime series where the main character gets the transformation power to turn into and older version of herself and uses this power to become a celebrity in this older state.
Aya's answer:  Fancy Lala and Creamy Mami
Fancy Lala
was one answer that I was looking for, but I don't think Creamy Mami really counts.  It doesn't say that she's an older version of herself, just an alternate identity.  Kudos again for the effort, though^^

Let's all congratulate Aya, winner of the first volume of Tokyo Juliet, worth a whopping 390 yen!
