School work...as well as having nothing to do, have kept me from writing in my Blog, so today is an update on what's been going on in my life...
Parent's Weekend will be held this weekend, and I was supposed to be the announcer for the International Club's International Food Tasting Fair. Well, that was the plan, until I got an e-mail from Dr. Mascali, who is one of the International Club's two Advisiors, saying that they felt that an International Student should be the announcer for the food fair. I was a little bummed; after all, I was planning to get up early and help Tomoe, Sarah's Japanese roomate, get dressed for the Food Fair, which is being held on Saturday. She would also help me get dressed, because putting on a kimono isn't as easy as it looks. I'm still going over to Tomoe and Sarah's room to get dressed, it's just that I'll be going to the Food Fair an hour earlier than most people will.
In other news, last Monday I finshed voting in absenta, so I hope that my vote will be counted. Maryland doesn't have any known problems about voting procedures and such, but there are some other states I'm worried about. I know one of them is Florida, and after the 2000 Election fuck up, I'm sure the Laywers will be picking the bones clean of every possible accusation of voter fraud. All I can say is...it's going to get very messy...

Sorry for not updating during Fall Break, I was on some issues that I hope have been resolved for good...-_-;
Just a few minutes ago, I got back from the Slane Center. Student Life was having a make your own video booth, and I decided to do one just for the heck of it. I did When I'm Gone by 3 Doors Down. It was the military video, so I spent a good part of the video doing a half-baked attempt to do a proper military salute. I probably sucked at it so bad that my dad would want to teach me how to do the salute correctly, but I tried...and trying to do a correct salute for the men and women in our Military may not seem like a big deal, but to them, it may mean the world.
I didn't have my 10:00 AM class today, so I only ended up going to my 11:00 AM class. I still have NCSL to go to at 5:00 PM tonight, and then, I have some homework to read. I forsee a quiet evening...but that is how it usually is at HPU...

Our Religions in America class went to a Quaker Gathering House today...I almost missed my New Testament Studies class...and to put it in basic terms, the Quakers were very much advanced than the non-Quakers in North Carolina. I mean, they had special brass button polishers, more effective ways to make butter other than using the hand churn, and other such advanced items that were not as common in the 17th Century. Behind the meeting house was a graveyard with simple headstones. Only one was very ornate, and I heard the story about why that headstone was there.
The story goes that a young Quaker woman was in a foster family, and that the young woman's foster father was having sexual relations with her. She got pregnant, was forced to have an abortion, it got botched, and a couple of days later, she died. When she did die, her foster father ordered a white headstone with an elaborate angel carved on it. They also say that after she died, the foster father killed himself. The poor girl, she was only 21 years old, and she had to go through Hell. I hope she's at peace...and I also hope that my request to have some fresh flowers put on her grave was also granted...
I know that this may be un-Christian of me, but I just found out that Max the bish deliverer and Nagia left fanfiction.net. Hey girls, did it ever occur to you that your attitudes against new writers, as well as your so-called superiority complex might have ticked some people off...and as a result, got some of your stories reported? The general public is fickle group of people, a writer can be made...or broken, by the general public. My comments may get me banned from fanfiction.net, but I have no shame in saying these words. So if I get banned, I will simply find another site and move on...that is, if the public decides I shouldn't be on fanfiction.net.

I had a good time at Homecoming on Saturday. I wore my kimono, and actually put on make-up. I then went out to eat dinner, where one of the male servers would not stop looking at me. It made me blush to think that some guy thought I looked good in a kimono...I know for a fact the Japanese girls loved my kimono.
When I finally got to the dance, I hung out with my friends, got one drunk guy who was bothering me escorted out of the dance, and tried to avoid all the guys who kept looking at me. I must have looked good that night, because I've never had a guy stop and look at me. I must also remember to thank Casey and Sunny for that Boxer Inspection...they obviously knew that my kimono would be a hit. ^_^
I hope to post a picture of me in my kimono soon, I actually look good in that picture...which is strange, because I'm very modest about my looks.
I also have a Halloween Fan Fiction called Surprise. Feel free to check my poem out an leave a review...
