| Tuesday, July 4, 2006 | Well, I hope everyone is having a good Fourth of July. Since the library is closed, the TAY people allowed me to get on their computer and use it.
Work has been going good; I have done cashiering, cleaning the dinning room, which I loathe, and toasting hamburger and whopper buns. My co-workers are cool, and my bosses are pretty laid back, even when word doesn't get around sometimes.
I've also decided to enter one of the Mini Contests on Media Miner. I'm entering this contest, and I hope that I'll at least get honorable mention. If you want to see my entry, then feel free to click here.
Feel free to take look at the story, and have a happy Independence Day!

| Wednesday, June 28, 2006 | Yes, I know it has been awhile since I last wrote, but life is getting busier by the moment. For example, I got my paycheck today; I got a nice lump sum of eighty dollars and fifty-two cents. I know it isn't much, but it's a good start.
In other news, Media Miner is holding another contest. This theme is summery and the story must center on making a wish. Torrent and Chibi Halo have a copy of my entry, so by Sunday I should know how my entry should stand up.
Work was okay today, but for some strange reason, we've been short the past few days. I have no clue as to why, but after the fiasco with the fan not working, all that smoke, and the grill going AWOL on us, I still have no clue as to why we are shorthanded.
By the way, on July 7 we will be going to Six Flags again. I have off so I can attend, so long as it doesn't rain. If you want to see my ugly little face from my last Six Flags trip, then click here.

| Sunday, June 18, 2006 | I have a new summer themed fan fiction out titled Dream. Feel free to check the story out if you have the time, and also, don't be afraid to tell me what you think.
Yesterday was my second day at work for Burger King. Unlike Thursday, where I stood at the drive-thru window and took the payment for food, I ended up cleaning the bathroom, the sitting area where everyone eats, and filling up the soda machine with ice. Let me tell you something, my feet were suffering and my legs were about to give out, had I not left around five in the evening. I hope I never have to do the lobby again; yes, I know that was told that I had done a good job, but I would take the drive-thru over the lobby any day.
In other news, TAY is going bowling tonight around five in the evening. It will be fun; I have not been bowling in quite awhile, so the lanes will do me some good.

| Friday, June 16, 2006 | Happy birthday to me! Happy birthday to me! Happy 23 years on this earth! Happy birthday to me!
As you can tell by the above statement, today is my birthday. I was born on this day in 1983, and it has been an interesting 23 years on this planet. Everything from getting a job, finding out I have a disability, being in Pathways, and finally, I have reached this day!
To celebrate, I am having dinner with my family at my favorite Japanese Restaurant this evening. Can you say sushi, family, and all that other good stuff!

| Friday, June 9, 2006 | I got a job! I got a job! I GOT A JOB!
I got hired by the local Burger King in First Colony for a job either in the back or running the cash register. It should not be too hard, Burger King is small, and I'm not above working the back or the front. Moreover, starting at .50 an hour, I should be able to clock in at least 40 hours a week, and still get a good paycheck before taxes.
Excuse me while I go squeal for joy!

| Wednesday, June 7, 2006 | Well dear online journal, my days are starting to fall into a regular pattern. I get up, have breakfast, go to Pathways, take the bus home, look for a job, eat dinner, go to group, and then go to bed. I am trying real hard to get a job, but the fact that the bus does not run on Sunday, means that most of the jobs I am looking at, in all the times chance throws the dice, I will not get. So that means I am still job hunting, and I still am not earning my keep.
In other news; a couple of nights ago, I baked chicken for the first time AND did not mess up! I am so proud of myself for cooking my first meal without burning it; even so, my skills are still something to be desired...
Yesterday I checked the status of my applications at Lowes and Target. There is a good chance that Lowes will not hire me because I cannot work on Sunday, and Target is still deciding my fate. On the other hand, a girl with PDD, who is a shift manager at First Colony's Burger King, invited me to apply there. I will meet her tomorrow and see about getting a job there.
So other than job hunting, things have been going well. By the way, I also have a new fan fiction poem out called Close My Eyes. Feel free to read it and check it out!

| Thursday, June 1, 2006 | Well, I think it is about high time to keep everyone up-to-date on what has been going on these past few weeks. So let us start with the basics...
My college days are over; I will not be returning to High Point, nor will I be heading off to North Carolina anytime soon. My grades got me kicked out of the university, so that means it may take awhile until I see Angela or Raf again. I am also glad to report, that I have moved out of my parent's house, and have an apartment of my own, curtsey of Pathways, the agency I am in to help with my AS, and I live about five minutes away from my mom and dad in Lexington Park.
I also, much to my dismay, have a housemate who irritates the you-know-what out of me. She is quiet, and we do not speak to each other a whole lot, but she always got that TV turned on and sleeps on the couch instead of her bed. Pathways is not thrilled about that at all, but I caught her, again, sleeping on the couch when I left the apartment...
There is some good news to report; I have job-hunting yesterday, and I have applied to Wal-Mart, Target, and Lowes. At Wal-Mart, I applied for a stocking job, Target, an overnight stocker, and at Lowes, a stocking job. I do not care if I work overtime or forty hours a week, I just want a job that will be able to get me on my feet so I can start paying the bills.
I did not win any awards at the Media Miner Maximum Challenge Contest, but I did make it to the semi-finals, so that counts for something. Also, one of my stories, Alive, made it into the featured fan fiction section on Media Miner, so I am happy with that. In addition, I wrote a new fan fiction poem titled Play, and you are free to read it and all my other stories as well.

| Monday, May 15, 2006 | I am, once again, dear online journal, five seconds away form squealing like a fan girl. Before anyone asks why, I will give him or her the answer. Media Miner had the following contest for everyone who writes on the Media Miner website; much to my surprise, and joy, four of my stories that I submitted made it into the semi-finals! They are Alive, Blood Is Thicker Than Water, Mockingbird, and Tell. If you do not believe me, go and click here.
Please excuse me while I go and bounce around the library for joy!

| Sunday, May 14, 2006 | Okay dear online journal, it is high time that I come clean about a few things. This is all about my AS, how I have viewed it, and what has been done about it since I have come home from college.
First off, college is now a bust. I do not think that I will be going back to High Point, and I will be spending my time in Maryland, working with an organization that help people with brain disorders called Pathways. I hope they will accept me into their program; I have most of the qualifications for this service, but I really need to stop treating my Asperger Syndrome as a weakness.
Yes, you heard me correctly; this is how I have been viewing my AS. Mom says that my AS has more control over me than I want to believe. For a long time I have viewed my disability as a weakness, but I have also been told that I am in a state of denial.
Of course, I am in a state of denial! Any chances of me having a normal life have just been pushed off a cliff, and I fucking hate it! Why the in the name of God was I denied something as simple as a normal life! Why can I not be like everyone else!
Then again, Angela and Raf have told me that my fan fictions have helped me in a great deal. I know I have more to prove to the fan fiction community because I have AS, but if I can make somewhat of a name for myself in the fan fiction community, then I have a good enough chance to make it in the real world.
I probably should get off now. I will try to talk to you on Monday...

| Wednesday, May 3, 2006 | Well dear journal, I have some good news, and I have some news that will not make my parents happy. The good news is; I got my one hundred dollar deposit in for the Fall Semester. With that paid, I will now be able to live on campus for my last year of college. The not so great news, for both Summer Sessions that I will be taking, we will be living off campus due to Nido's desire to give this campus a huge face-lift. I know he took a pay decrease to be president of this university, but my god, he's throwing money around as if it were nothing...
I woke up today around noon and had lunch with everyone. There was nothing exciting to talk about, so I mostly ate my lunch, in silence, which consisted of Macaroni and Cheese, chips, and Diet Coke. Other than that, it has been a quiet day.
P.S.-Did I mention that the graduates are going to listen to Queen Noor of Jordan speaking at the graduation ceremony?

| Tuesday, May 2, 2006 | Yeah, I know it's early in the morning, but I've had a pretty good day...at least for someone who took an exam at 8:30 AM EST.
Yes dear friends, it's exam week at HPU, and I had one exam on Monday, and one on Thursday. Since the Monday exam was really easy, I hope for smooth sailing on the exam on Thursday.
Speaking of grades, I checked My Stuff for my grades, and right now I have two C Letter Grades. I hope that I will still be able to come to college for Summer School, and perhaps get a little more time with Raf, Angela, and all my friends who are not taking part of this year's graduation ceremony where Queen Noor of Jordan will be speaking. Nido, you are throwing way too much money around...

| Saturday, April 29, 2006 | Yes I know I have been neglecting this journal for way too long, but I think that now is a good time to actually update this thing and fill everyone in on what has been going on.
It's exam week for us at High Point; I don't know all of my grades, but I hope I'll get some good ones so that I can come back and get me degree. I plan to study and do my best, but I've been having problems getting up in the morning. I've been trying to get up a seven o'clock in the morning, but I can't seem to wake up until one o'clock in the afternoon. I need to get my sleeping problems under control, or I might wake up and miss an exam...
In other news, I got a nice little care package, inside a purple bag, from either my RA, my parents, or Nido. Whoever sent me that little care package is a lifesaver...
That's about it, at least for now. I'll try to add more later, but I have to go study for an exam on Monday.
