[リ g.r.a.v.i.t.y] v.17 features some fanart of Sumeragi Subaru as the new Sakurazukamori, Sakurazuka Seishirou, and Sumeragi Hokuto-chan for the month of February!! It's the twins' birthday this month, yew know? The translated lyrics up there are from the song "Days" by Shela. (Download here) Okay... maybe Subaru doesn't really think that way yet, but I am keeping my fingers crossed. And if yew wanna use my fanart, pleeease ask! I promise I will be beriberi naisu! ^_^

Nyah, forgot to say yesterday that I beat unknown. At level 83, I thought he was easy, and did good on my first try but strangely I can't ever beat him again. >_< He's hard. HARD. I must have been super duper lucky or something!!

Dude, Princess Tutu has officially weirded me out. I am not used to that kind of show. I was thinking "mahou tsukai tai o_O; Okazaki Ritsuko O_o;" when I saw it but ... Okay well Kix likes it. The anime club apparently does not ^^; She's probably going to force us to watch more so I'm going to keep on watching. Otherwise... we watched Hunter x Hunter. I think that... show is really weird too >_< Maybe things will get better???

And thank yew & yew for compliments, and to confirm, yes, I am her cousin. ^^? *shrug*

I wonder if Mi-chan has a gallery? :D Yer layout artwork is rilly kyuuute ^_^

RAR i'm hungry, and like a poor ghetto college kid I'm eating raw ramen. MM. Ramen. All the sodium is in the MSG you know, so all I'm consuming is the crazy preservatives. I'm hungry.

Waaaayne-nii brought me to KINOKUNIYA TODAYYY to pick up my ASUKA. Of course this is last month's Asuka so as usual I'm not up to date on what's going on. This month's Asuka was right there on the shelf though ;_; Rar to Sea Mail. I'm a poor ghetto college kid who can't afford air mail... I'll get it next month Y_Y
Buuuut I got Newtype too. Annnd I bought the first print of Your Eyes Only Chii Photographics! *_* ::sparkle:: I spent today, but already I feel like a better CLAMP fan! I have been putting off buying too many chobits books already, but today I have redeemed myself. *_* There was also a Tales of Phantasia Fujishima Kosuke artbook there... .... T_T I think I'll buy that some other time.... I'm a poor ghetto college kid...

So then we accompanied Brian and Alex to the lab today for their ICS projects, while me and Kix sat there and killed time by her playing minesweeper and me reading up on the magazines I bought earlier today. It gave me a bunch of free time to actually clear through the entire Newtype (I never have time to do that!) and read alll through X, alll through DNAngel, and allll through Gouhou Drug. It was a very peaceful & fulfilling reading session. Phi was happy. Happy up until you know, I reached the Mahoromatic section and showed dearrr dearrr Kix that interesting picture of suction cups on Mahoro's boobs hooked up to a vacuum cleaner...

Kix: OH WOW her BOOBS GOT BIGGER!
*100 ICS majors turn around and look*
*Brian stares*
*head hits the desk*

Really now, could you have said that any LOUDER?!?!?! >_< *cry* ぼくはね、顔、真っ赤になったよ!もう!!!

So now I go. #>___<

*cough*
The teacher today gave me this awesome article about a plastic surgeon, Joe Rosen, who believes that it would be a wonderful idea to put extra limbs on humans, such as wings, motorized fingers, flashlights, sonar, etc. Of course there's a lot of controversy about his radical ideas and all these issues about where to draw the line for humans altering themselves. There have been 229,588 liposuctions, 187,755 breast augmentations, and countless others, but those are the most popular surgeries since 1992, I think it said. Humans do so much to change themselves to look different, but if you observe the end result, you notice that society pushes everyone to look the same. Babies get operated on even before they are born so that they prevent them from having birth defects. Of course it's because today anyone who looks different is ostracized. So the surgeon, Rosen says for example: there is a waiter in Vietnam who has 2 thumbs, and because of his defect that makes him better at his job. If he were to be asked to remove a thumb, he would be allowed to do that, but he would not be allowed to put an extra thumb on someone. Ever think about why? People change themselves in so many different cultures, but because it's socially accepted already in society to get cosmetic surgery nobody minds as much. So if people were to go about looking like animal hybrids, would society eventually get used to that? What's human and what's not?

Wow that was sort of a rant. However if we get over the whole what would society think, and the effects of putting alterations on humans on what kind of an impact that would make on today's social class (for instance only the rich would be able to afford alterations but at the same time the majority of lipo's and breast surgeries were done on individuals with ,000 yearly income, why is that?) then sure. I suppose I'd want to get myself a pair of wings. Surely not working ones, that would be too strange because we don't have hollow bones. But at this stage, I think if they had the same ... I don't know... convenience as my color contacts, then that would be fine, wouldn't it? I'm just thinking as long as it's not anything genetic, then it wouldn't be considered playing God. The sorry thing to consider is that add any limb to your body and your brain will map it, so where is it genetic and where is it not? Amputees, though they lose their right arm or something, say that when they feel their cheek they can feel the nerves in their missing arm. Remove something and your brain will just remap whatever was taken away to somewhere else. Adding, much more complicated I'd think. We'll give it a few decades more shall we, when human morality has corrupted even more. Let's first work on such issues as.. abortion. Or the war maybe. Yes the war. *sigh*

*coughing fit* so that was an interesting thought process I had today. For now though I'll just have to pay a godawful amount of money for some Kamui wings. Feathers.... *_*;; so $$!!!

I watched more Wolf's Rain & finally finished Laputa after 3 years
*cough*
It was really depressing
*cough* but the ending was really good.

Sometimes I will be talking and then I will be coughing so badly I can't talk anymore >_>
It really makes me angry, to not be able to speak.

Whoahhh I must have been RILLY TIRED!!! I could have sworn I never touched my alarm clock, but next thing I knew the clock said 9:45!!! *scream* Why am I such a big BAKA?!?! *Runs to the mirror* ... *runs back* Hm. The bags under my eyes from 3 days of lack of sleep are mostly gone, so I guess that's good o.O I missed my 9:00 drawing class today >_< NOoooo today was figure drawing like monday! I think I missed a lot of good practice right there. WEhh!! Should not have stayed up till 2 am watching anime wif Kix-darling ;_; waughhh but we got to watch a lotta new shows since we haven't been keeping up. She blogged the basic summary of our opinions. But I'm glad I am at least going to be following more shows instead of waiting weeks for Naruto and Hikago to be coming out. It's nice for a change though, with more serious shows like Gundam Seed and Wolf's Rain. I mean, the Shounen Jump shows are GOOD, but they feel different. So many shows, so little time! I wonder if i can keep up? o.O

I'll be going to prop shop to make a wing today, and teacher likes the idea. Of course, this wing happens to look exactly like the wing that Lan wears on the cover of clover4, so I wonder what I am POSSIBLY doubling this project as? ^^; Kix has class soon ;_; I have class at 3:30. Should I, eat, watch more anime, play Kingdom Hearts, or draw?

I know it was yesterday and I was busyyy, but HAPPY BIRTHDAY GENRY!!!! :D I drew yew a gift art like I said I would, heehee. It's ACY! ^__^

Woosh, that's finished. And I drew a girl too @_@;; Ai! And because midnight is in less than 3 hours I will also wish an early happy birthday to PEKKLE, who will turn 18 tomorrow!

What else? Tokyo Babylon was actually pretty good, for 1992. I thought it was both episodes but it was only the first one even though the tape said approx. 50 min and yen price was 9800 yen...;;;; But I went back onto Clamp's works list and found out that really, that was the price in 1992. Must have been an awful exchange rate or SOMETHING back then, because they made a reprint of it in 2000 for 3500 or so yen, I dun remember. Thankfully I didn't pay nearly that much for it *bows down to Kbooks* and if I ever find episode 2 I'll get it. And Seishirou-san was cool. Yeah. ... *_*;

Umm I saw 4 rabbits and 2 racoons, and a cricket lives outside in the suite. It has no food so it'll die soon, but I wish I could just catch it and put it outside instead of hearing it dying more and more every night. It's kinda cute. Too bad I'm too scared of bugs to get close enough to it. ._.

*sniffle* ;_; I'm sick again. Sick sick sick, but for some peculiar reason I'm not in bed and not drinking lots of fluids. Why? Because I'm just not so smart I guess >_< I had some strange dreams lately so I suppose I'm not all that eager to return to them, so I've been up and I look like crap. >_<

I think today me and Kix are going to finally pop the tape into the VCR and *flinch* brave Tokyo Babylon. Luckily it will be my first time watching it and my expectations of it have been lowered by all of Kix's horror stories of Subaru sounding like Michael Jackson in the English dub. I standed listening to my TB drama CD only ONCE, and I don't think I can get used to Yamaguchi Kappei doing Subaru. But Takehito Koyasu sounded so fruity in the drama O_O I'm scared. But since I expect it to be so bad, I'm hoping I'll like it. >_< Maaaybe?

I added a little recent art stuff section in the sidebar because all those huge images pushing my entries down making my scrollbar teeny was starting to scare me. ^^ I drew a new piccy on OC, Chobits fanart!

>_< We're being ordered by a certain person to go to the gym today. I'm still sore from last time. Don't wanna go. *pokes tummy* ._. but I should.

Mya! I'm being such a whiny brat today.
