Eiichi Tokanu, age 18, is a snobbish foreign exchange student, but where his attitude might gain him enemies, his strange ability to avoid disaster keeps his head above water. Played by DragonSoul.

Aethan Grey, aged 23. British journalist who is on an extended stay in Tokyo on a teaching contract. Absentmindedness can annoy, British pride can definitely rub the wrong way, but overall a pleasant enough person. Played by Pickles.

Jin Hitashi is a 21 year old college senior majoring in drama. He has an irresistable charm when it comes to both guys and girls, a slick wit, and a complete refined gentleman air to him. He is a control-freak and is very possessive, almost to the point of violent if necessary. He is rather sadistic as well. Played by Taline.

Kiyaru Nakane, age 18, is a new boy at college. He's gentle, kindhearted and soft-spoken, friendly and helpful, but a loner who keeps mostly to himself. Although there's more to him than meets the eye. Played by Suki

Rafael Brite is a 20-year-old college student majoring in psychology, minoring in criminal psychology. He's an oddly socialized person who's generally seen as awkward since he's usually off in his head. He likes to find out what makes the human mind go wrong. He's also more of an observer, usually lurking in the background of social functions. Played by Sierra.

Tsuramoshi Akibara is an eighteen-year-old art student fresh from the country. He knows little about city life, but is bound and determined to make a good impression with the people he meets a long his way. A little hyper, and terribly sarcastic, he spends most of his time drawing and pondering the meaning of life, leaving him with a deep meaning of self. Played by Ember.

Fion Paligan, 18 years old, works as "maid" to pay for his education as a vet. Though suffering from a broken heart, the youth is still cheerful and friendly, posing a encharming naivity and childish trust. Played by D-chan

Rich, a 21 year old originally from New York, isn't as he seems. At first glance, he looks quiet and bookwormish, but as soon as he opens his mouth, it's realized how much of a goof-ball he is. Even though he's working hard to earn a degree in marine biology, he takes plenty of time off to joke around and play pranks. Played by Megz.

Suzaru Akito is a young, bouncy, goofy 18 year old freshman. The poor boy is rather scatterbrained when it comes to school, which earns him low marks in his majoring course, journalism. He generally becomes absolutely frustrated in class, which switches his genki air to downright homicidal. Obviously, Akito-chan is very moody. Played by CW

Kiyaru
"Sure!" Was the cheerful reply from the raven-haired boy. Standing upright, he turned and headed towards the doorway, gesturing for the other to follow. "Come on. I figure I might as well show you around the rest of the house while I'm at it."

Fion
The blond chuckled. "Lipstick as fingerpaint? Now that is something I have not heard of before. Lipstick as warpaint, yes...but that?" Still smiling he leaned against the kitchencounter too, brushing a few strands of nearly colourless hair out of his face. "You said you are an artist, mind showing me some of your works? I quite envy people who are able to express themself through art, specially with me having no ounce of talent, nor the patience for it."

Kiyaru
Kiyaru nodded, hands coming to rest on the counter behind him, leaning back on his arms. "I know I don't..." Allowing his mind to wander, he stared off into space again. "I have a sister, myself... her name's Saeko." He smiled slightly at the name. "She's six, lives back in Kawasaki with my mother." He glanced back up at Fion through his bangs, smile gone slightly crooked. "A right little artist, just like me... though, she constantly has to be reminded that mom's lipstick isn't fingerpaint."

Fion
"No, she isn´t. Fianna is my best friend," 'Now, as he is gone' "I knew her from the day she was born. Kindergarten, school, we did everything together. She lives next door with her father, and since our parents both work we take care of meals together most of the time." He busied himself preparing a sauce for the nearly finished vegetables. "We both wouldn´t bother cooking if it was only for one person."

Kiyaru
Kiyaru smiled lopsidedly as the blonde spoke, before it slipped slightly as a curious look entered his eyes. "I take it she's your sister, then?" He asked, tilting his head slightly to one side as he shifted his stance, uncrossing his feet and shifting his weight onto one leg.

Fion
"Well, my cooking probably can´t compair with your mothers, it will be a wonder if I manage anything decent with what is here." Fion rummaged around the kitchenshelves and drawers in search for herbs and oil. "But you should come over someday when Fianna and I are cooking." A bright smile settled on his lips as he mentioned the girl. "We are always trying to out-do each other. She can´t accept that I could be a better 'house-wife' than her. Can't deny I am enjoying out doing her, though. It is just too cute when she starts pouting." The blond chuckled. "Not that I am keen on that title, I have other plans for my future than playing wife for someone." 'You wouldn´t have minded two months ago...'

Lan
After a moment of hesitation he shook the others hand. "Nice to meet you..." 'And now? Cheers, social retard strikes again..' Nothing forthcoming and the giggling of his bandmates did not help, well, aside from putting a healthy flush into his cheeks (and even he himself wasn´t sure if it was from anger or embarrassment). "Sorry..'m no good at small talk."

Aeth
Aethan drew back, sitting on the floor next to him. "You... didn't know that?" He blinked, confused slightly. Then he laughed. "Wow. Wouldn't I love to live in a world without pickup lines."

Kiyaru
The brunette smiled slightly and nodded at the other boy. "Thanks." He turned his head away again, absently gazing down at the floor. "Although, if he really doesn't care... I'd prefer to have it be this way, rather than him pretending he does." He smiled softly to himself. "At least I still have my mom... even though we don't keep in touch often anymore, I know she'll always be there for me." A sigh escaped his lips as he tilted his head back. "Kami, I miss her... her kind words, her laughter, her creativity... her cooking..." He laughed at that last comment and shook his head slightly.

Jin
"Oh, sorry. I'm Hitashi Jin." Jin held out his hand to shake, casting a glance over at Lan's friends, then back to Lan.

Fion
Sadness settled in spring-green eyes as Fion listened to Kiyarus words. "No problem." A faint, bitter smile ghosted over his lips. "I can sympathize with your feelings...well, mostly. I rarely spend time with my mother either. She works a lot to keep us alive." He set rice and vegetables on the stove to cook as he spoke. "But at least I know that my mother loves me, and that Dylan, father, loved me too." He turned and gazed at the other boy, understanding in his eyes. "It must be hard, to not know if someone loves you, if the person that should be closest to you even cares." He swallowed, forcing himself not to choke on his own words.'Don't cry, idiot! You are over him.' "I can only hope that you're wrong, that he cares, even if he does not show it."

Kiyaru
Kiyaru shook his head, before brushing a few strands of raven hair out of his face. "I'd be surprised if you ever had the chance to say so much as another word to him... I never do." He shifted slightly, crossing his ankles the other way, closing his eyes and bowing his head slightly. "You see... my father is an attorney. He works seven days a week, leaves the house just after dawn and comes home sometime in the small hours of the morning. I rarely ever catch a glimpse of him." A small, wry smile twisted his lips. "I'm actually starting to forget what he looks like..." The smirk quickly faded.

"He wasn't even around the day we moved in here... already off at his new job. We never talk... I don't even have his cell number if there's an emergency." He opened his eyes again, slightly unfocused, and stared blankly off into space ahead of him. "He doesn't care about me... if I live or die, it makes no difference to him." With a sigh, he ran a hand through his hair again and turned his attention back to Fion, smiling crookedly. "Gomen... I shouldn't be burdening you with all this." He glanced down at the floor and added softly, "I just need to get it out sometimes."

Fion
The fair haired boy stopped briefly with his task, setting the kitchen knife down next to the vegetables he had been chopping. "On the desk phone? Is there no chance for me to talk with him personally?"

Rafael, the Innocent o_o;
Rafael shook his head and responded, “No.” He quietly tucked his olive brown hair behind his ear, watching Aethan with child-like interest.

Aethan
"You asked me what we were going to... nevermind." Aethan shook his head. "Something in class, character descriptions or such." He blinked. "Did you not -know- that that's just about THE most overused pickup line on the planet?"

Rich
Laughing, Rich shook his hand with his own strong callused one, then grinned and he was pushed back against his seat when the blond floored it. "That it does," he replied, "...that it does."

Eiichi
"Sugoi!" Eiichi grinned, holding out a hand to the other man. "I beleive this is the beginning of a beautiful relationship." Then, laughing, he floored the gas and took off down the freeway.

Rich
Eyes widening slightly, he looked over at the blonde. "Free? You serious?" If this guy wasn't kidding, it'd be a perfect situation for him. Seeing as how he was a bit low in the money department. "That'd be great!"

Eiichi
"So what brings you to Tokyo? From what I saw of your car, you're a student who doesn't have a dorm." Arching a brow at the other American, Eiichi smiled. "Want to room with me until you can find a place? It's free..."

Rich
Rich laughed and shook his head. "The ghetto? Not hardly. Nope, I'm a city kid. And New York's a big one, if you haven't noticed." Rich grinned over at Eiichi and rolled his eyes in an amused sort of way. He was glad to find another person with a good sense of humor after having teachers that just stared at him coldly all day.

Eiichi
Blinking, Eiichi stared at his passenger for a moment and burst out laughing. "I had that coming, didn't I? But nah, I wasn't spoilt. I just had everything I ever wanted." He grinned. "So what about you? From the ghetto or something?"

Rich
Rich nodded, rolling thought over in his head about his day and what tomorrow would be like. "So... were you one of those airhead blondes?" Grinning, he glanced over at Eiichi. "You know, a 'valley-boy'?" He scratched his arm and continued to look out the window with an amused smirk on his lips.

Eiichi (Henpecked)
"I'm from California, though I was born over here. Mom married my father as a business amalgamation and they moved back to their estate on the West coast."

Rafael
Rafael blinked in response. “No. Why would you think that?”

Kiyaru
Kiyaru stared blankly down at the tiled floor just in front of his feet, frowning slightly. "You should probably stick the note on the desk phone in his bedroom."

Lan
Lan nodded. "Yes, I am..though, the first day proved rather disasterous." He ignored the catcalls and stupid remarks from behind him. "I am Lan...and those two idiots, who call themself my friends", he turned his head to glare briefly at them:"Are Kurei and Shinichi." Shinichi, a tall boy who had the tips of his long black hair dyed red, waved a hello, while Kurei staid silent. "And you're?"

Aethan
Aethan blinked. That had -definitely- sounded like a pickup line to him. "Are you hitting on me...?"

Rafael, who thinks far too much
“I see,” Rafael responded, filing this data, utterly unmiffed. His calm surface gently shifted like a dreamboat, bobbing on the water lazily. “How would we do that?” He asked honestly, unaware his question sounded like a cheesy pick up line. Or maybe he just didn’t care. Or maybe he subconsciously wanted to get Aethan in bed. Or maybe he subconsciously idolized skanky cheerleaders and had to get every sexy male in bed. Or maybe...

Jin
"Hi," Jin said softly, smiling at the boy. He had not expected Lan to actually notice him. Jin stood up and slowly moved closer to him so they would be close enough for speaking distance. "Couldn't help but notice you and your... fan club. You're Grey-san's teaching aid, aren't you?"

Lan
Sighing the blue haired youth flopped down on the ground, eyes sightlessly gazing over the silvery surface of he lake. Stone-skipping had not proven to be even remotely satisfieing. Just as bored as before. Running a hand through his short hair he looked over his shoulder towards his two friends, and the next moment his cheeks flushed pink. "Get a room, god damn it!" A throaty chuckle came from Kurei. "Better, you get the stick outta your ass! We're only kissing!" He scowled at them, and still blushing turned away, getting to his feet again."I will meet you at 8:30 at the club for a sound-check, later." He definitely had better things to do than sitting here...he would just have to figure out what they were. The slender boy just wanted to walk away as his eyes came to rest onto the young man sitting not too far away from him. Recognizing him as one of the students of Grey-sans class, if he was not mistaken the one that was not supposed to be in it, he nodded a greeting. "Hi..."

Aethan
"I just find it easier to read a book when I can sympathise, in sorts, with the main characters. If I can understand them, even if I don't agree with them. And I -- was going on what you told me," Aethan continued, falling into the conversation. "I presumed you had nothing in common with them because you presented them to me in such a way that had me thinking there was absolutely nothing normal about these two at all. We need to work on your presentation of a character." He winced at that last sentence -- that was entirely too teacher-like for his taste.

Rafael
Rafael blinked owlishly again. “But eating humans is only one part of their personalities, only one thing that makes them. Why do you need to identify with them? Why did you assume I have very little in common with them?” His voice wasn’t mean or accusing, merely curious.

Aethan
"No, that's not it, I just... I don't understand, really, how you can read about people with whom you have so little in common," Aethan explained. The physical closeness, while at first uneasy, became rather commonplace, like being on a crowded bus, so that it didn't bother him. "When I read, I like to be able to identify with the characters at least a -little-..."

Jin
Jin was sitting cross-legged on the ground in the park by the lake, reading his Theatre Communications book and being ultimately bored by it. He sighed and pushed his pale blue hair out of his eyes, looking up. Almost immediately he spotted one of the people from the classroom that morning... The teacher's aid... What was his name? Lan? Jin closed his book, keeping his place with one finger, watching the younger boy for no reason other than it was something to do to avoid the forgotten communications book.

Rafael
Rafael blinked and tilted his head a bit. “You don’t approve of reading about different types of people?” He asked, utterly perplexed.

Aethan
Aethan blinked, fair skin reddening in his embarrassment. "Of course I've heard of cannibalism! It's just... a pair of them... and necrophiliacs... and -reading- about it for recreational --" he cut himself off as he, too, noticed just -exactly- how close they were.

Rafael...short post...short post...
Rafael blinked and asked, “you’ve never heard of cannibalism?” He turned his melon green eyes towards the older man and suddenly became aware of their closeness.

Aethan the Sheltered
The teacher blinked. "Are you serious?" He glanced at the open page -- and his eyes widened in the realization that Raf was indeed serious. "I've never even -heard- of anything like that before..."

Rafael, the oblivious one.
Rafael blinked at the man’s suddenly closeness, but wasn’t bothered enough by it to arch away. “A horror novel, based around a pair of cannibalistic necrophiliacs. Very good.” He responded as if it were everyday conversation.

Aeth
Bored and a little fidgety, Aethan stood, and walked over to Raf. After all, as his English teacher, he -did- have the right to know what he was reading... looking at the subtitle of the book, his eyes widened. "Exquisite Corpse?" he asked, lips close to his student's ear. "What sort of a book is -that-?"

Rafael
Rafael felt the novel weave a web around him, netting him in criss-crossings of words and characters, of events and moments that swam in his mind. He quickly identified the characters, noting every aspect of their personality, while at the same time mentally clinging to the lyrics being sung in his left ear. While his thinking process was complex, it took only a split-second in real time.

Aethan
Blinking, the redhead opened his book, flipping through to the first actual pages. Usually when he spoke to someone, he got a response... He crossed his legs, starting to get into the book.

Rafael
Rafael nodded as he slowly filed this information, hand moving to turn the volume on his CD player down a few notches. He thought for a moment about a response, but nothing came to mind, so he turned back to his book.

Aethan
Aethan blinked. That was a strange question... Aethan pondered it for a second. "No, I don't really mind," he decided slowly. "It's nice, actually. It lets me interact with each of you on a more personal level."

Rafael
Rafael looked up and tilted his head at the older man. He blinked a few times silently, watching Aethan avidly, as if he would start spinning a web or murdering the librarian. After a few moments silence, he finally asked, “Does it bother you?”

Aethan
After having showered, napped, and changed out of his suit, Aethan felt better. His long auburn hair was tied back, and he'd gone with casualwear, a tight black T-shirt with cutoff sleeves and a jagged hem -- he'd cut it himself -- and loose jeans, riding low on his hips, though he -had- kept the Doc Martens. Now he was in a bookstore with actual English titles he recognised and had read or wanted to read -- what did he feel in the mood for... Passing the two sections he normally went for -- classical and the Gay/Lesbian literature -- he headed for the SciFi/Fantasy&Adventure section. He was feeling like something different. He picked up a title that looked interesting, "Wraethru," and headed for the nearest set of chairs, nice plush things. He sat, and looked at the chair opposite his -- and was startled to see Rafael Brite. Yet another one of his students. He chuckled. "Apparently, I am a magnet for my freshmen..."

Rafael
Rafael was sitting indian style on the floor of the college book store/library, a stack of books beside him, waiting to be purchased. He was currently flipping through the pages of a book titled "Exquisite Corpse", melon green eyes alight with a truly happy gleam as he read.

Lan
The blue haired boy laid on his back, staring upwards into the sky, a content smile on his face. He would be able to sing tonight. A small club, badly paid, but a possibility to be on stage none the less. Lan wasn´t the only one glad for the chance to perform. Kurei and his boyfriend, their drummer, Shinichi were loudly chattering next to him, their voices nearly drowning out the other sounds of the park, when they weren´t busy trying to devour each other. The slender youth did not know if he should be put off by their open display of affection, specially where it might get them more trouble than it was worth (there weren´t only tolerant people in Ueno park), or if he actually felt jealous that he had noone to share such affection. 'I DON'T need affection.' With a sigh he stood up, leaving the couple to their activities and stepped up to the near lake. It was small, a few ducks peacefully making their rounds. He bend down to pick up a few stones and tried to skip them over the water. The time until a show always seemed to crawl. (OOC: boooo~oored)

Fion
If he was a animated character, Fion was pretty sure he would have sweatdropped as he gazed into the fridge. Not much? This was rather nothing at all. Ah, well, he could work with it anyway. "I think I will be able to cook something...though it will be nothing great." The blond proceeded to get the things he needed from around the kitchen, placing them neatly in a row on the kitchencounter. "I will have to ask your father if he is okay with me also going shopping for the two of you, or if he only wants me to clean."

Rich
Rich turned his attention to the window, a partial grin still on his face. "New York originally. You sound American too," he replied. He bobbed his head slightly to the music as he gazed out at the road ahead of them.

Eiichi
"Eiichi." Swerving through the traffic, Eiichi glanced at Rich and noticed he wasn't hanging onto the dash like Rafael had been earlier. "Where're you from?"

Rich
Rich leaned back in the seat and grinned over at the other guy. "Sounds good to me," he said calmly, blowing his beat up vehicle a kiss and giving it a small wave as they drove off.

"The name's Rich, by the way."

Kiyaru
Soft pink lips drew up in a slight smile. "Same." Kiyaru replied, leading the taller boy into the kitchen. "And I guess I don't look it much, either..." He proceeded to briefly show the blonde where everything was in the kitchen. "We don't really have much, since neither of us ever bothers to cook anything... so I hope you can make use of what's here." He turned to face the other boy, leaning back against a counter, arms folded and feet crossed at the ankles.

Fion
"Eighteen...I know I am not looking like it." The blond grimaced slightly as he followed after Kiyaru, mentally taking note of the tasks that still awaited him. "How old are you? You're kinda hard to guess." He looked the petite black haired boy up and down, and he truely could not say if he would think him 15 or 18...or younger. Short and slender, with a doll-like face that did not belie anything, neither age nor experiences. Emotions ghosting over his features like finely drawn lines of a painting. Fion silently wondered what had made the boy like this. Pretty sure that Kiyarus father was at least part of the reason. Together with the undeniable lack of a mother. Or was he reading too much into all of this. Silently he scolded himself for sticking his nose into business that didn´t concern him, he had learned his lesson last time.

Kiyaru
Kiyaru blinked at the sudden display of affection and chuckled, shaking his head slightly to get his dishevelled locks back into some semblance of tidiness, running his fingertips through it slightly again. After a brief moment's thought, he shrugged slightly. "Sure." He said, smiling lopsidedly at the taller boy. He gave a tilt of his head in gesture for him to follow, before leading him off to the small kitchen. "So, how old are you, anyway?" He asked, glancing back over his shoulder at Fion as he walked.

Fion
"Oh...sorry." His smile turned bittersweet as he heard the ..sadness? in the others words, took in the slumped form of the slender youth. Fion felt sorry that the other had lost that soft grin, that he had been the reason for it. He knew how it felt when you did not have any family to speak of. Be it because they were dead, you were as good as none existant to them or that they simple had no time to be bothered with so pety things as affection. On impulse he reached out and ruffled Kiya hair, the fine strands of short, black hair sliding silkly over the callused skin of his fingers. "Cheer up, hm? That sad look doesn´t fit ya. Ruins the overall effect." He drew his hand back, placing it on his hip. "So", he gestured over his shoulder. "What about you show me where the kitchen is and I will cook us something to eat before I start with the cleaning." 'Oh, come on, Fi. You couldn´t be any more obvious about the change of topic?'

Kiyaru
Kiyaru closed the door, absently casting a glance over the other boy. He was rather tall, with a slim build and narrow shoulders, not particularly muscular. He didn't wear any sort of uniform, instead he was dressed casually in a pair of stylish white pants and a white button-up shirt, chin-length honey blonde locks falling freely about his face. Kiya took back all his earlier stereotypical thoughts.

"I assume your father isn´t home..."

The smile slipped from Kiyaru's lips, his expression fading into an almost sombre one. He slid one hand into his jeans pocket. "No, he's not." He said, running the other hand through his fluffy black hair, gaze falling to the floor at his feet. "He's... not around alot..." He said half-heartedly.

Fion
"Thanks." Fion slipped out of his shoes before he stepped into the apartment, looking around slightly curious. " I assume your father isn´t home..."

Kiyaru
Opening the door slightly wider, Kiyaru reached out and took the blonde's hand, shaking it lightly but firmly, smiling warmly up at him. "Nakane Kiyaru. Pleased to meet you, Fion." With that he stepped aside, holding the door open and giving a slight gesture with his free hand. "Come on in, then."

The houseboy -__-
"Ahmm...well, yes, I think I am the new houseboy." Pale cheeks coloured softly with the beginnings of a blush. "At least it sounds better than maid." He smiled than, broad and sunny, and offered his hand in a greeting. "Fion Paligan. Nice to meet you."

Kiyaru
"Hai, that they do..." Kiyaru replied, tilting his head slightly to one side. "I take it you're the new houseboy?"

Fion
The blond nodded at the question, a small nervous smile appearing briefly on his lips as he gazed at the shorter boy, or at least at what he was able to see of him. "Yes. Do the Nakane's live here?"

Eiichi
(OOC: ARCHIVED! I also removed Lan from the chara list. He still exists though.)

Laughing, Eiichi gestured at the door of the car. "Get in." Keeping the smile even after the man was in the car, he turned the radio back up, but not too loudly and took off, leaving the battered chevy behind. "I'm taking you to my place to use the phone. I don't have a cell yet. That okay?"
