Hmmm must be a conspiracy, Andover.net has just bought Freshmeat a linux software download site. This after Andover bought slashdot.... I think Andover is owned by M$ and this is a scheme to seize all the linux portals and start distributing anti-linux, pro-microsoft propaganda....
Slackware
Slackware is an excellent Linux distribution, if your new to linux you may want to try a more User Friendly distribution like Red Hat, or etc. But if you want the most Unix-like feel go with SlackWare, not that it isn't impossible to start with Slackware, i did, just make sure you have lots of docs for it. :p good luck~
Hey, back from New York, all the grass is dead up there, lots of shrub fires to, MST3K final episode is tonight at 9 and 11, on sunday.
well I'm going away to New York, to Hudson river valley for a couple days. Sometime pick up the Neuromancer its a great book which started the CyberPunk genre. Lots of interesting thoughts in it.
