Oh wow, didn't comment for over a week, huh? *laughs* Sorry sorry. Not like anyone READS these. X3
I opened up a DeviantArt account because I could. Good reason, huh? ^_^ Nah, I opened it because I'm seriously lazy on updating my sites. I won't put up all of my new pics---you'll have to see Recurring Dreams for everything. *cackles* More work for you! Check it out, if you want to. ToriKat's DeviAccount. In the journal I'm bound to write art comments. This blog is for my writing, adventures (yeah, that's what I call them to sound cool), and rants'n'rambles.
Hmmm...last time I mentioned that I saw Sinbad while volunteering. Not a bad movie. Not as great as Spirit, the Stallion of the Cimaroon. It was a good volunteering experience. I never thought about there being that many special ed kids in the area and how much attention they wish they had. This one girl named Amanda (10 years old, speaks Spanish fluently!) wouldn't stop talking throughout the movie. The nursing home lady said I had amazing patience dealing with her mainly because she asked and said the same things over and over. *shrugs* Does that mean others get annoyed after the first two times?
This Wednesday I went again and they saw The Hulk. It was an okay movie. I think it requires a second viewing to actually understand the underlying messages and---I'll shut up now. Amanda picked up a new routine. She'd force herself to sneeze over and over just so you would say "Bless you." Then she'd reply with, "Thank you, baby!" I'd say, "You're welcome, baby." Then she'd say, "I'm not your baby, baby." Heh. ^^;
I drove twice this week, once on Tuesday, once on Thursday. I returned to the EVIL country roads with their devious turns and frightening roadkill...I did well staying in lane position 1 and maintaining my speed. I've found my pet peeve on driving...people who tailgate...Why don't they stop it?! For crying out loud, it freaks me out because sometimes I slow or stop for a dip or a turn and they could smack into me with their speeds. X_X *paranoid about getting hit or hitting someone* Thursday I hit the highways. YEAH BABY! MWHAHAHA! VROOOOOM! Finally the freedom I needed. Wide open lanes. Few obstructions. Fast speeds. More room between me and stupid people. Oh yeah, lovely ride. :3 I'm really good at lane changes says the drivers ed instructor. Mwhahaha. *airhead*
I drive again on Monday and Thursday. Joy. Still didn't get to ride with Bani. Darn. Kinda defeats the purpose in making sure I got the same class as her.
Thursday, I did one of the activities in drivers ed wearing the drunk glasses---toss paper wads into a trash bin. I got two in! They were all really close. ^_^ I can't even shoot them without them on, so...uhhh...I was lucky? Yay. Our team didn't win, but that's okay. I can live without a whole bag of candy...*sighs*
I finished a pic I was doing for a project. It's not the first two I had planned. *whistles* OH WELL. Still a bishie and I'm still happy with it. The thing is, though, I REALLY liked it as a lineart. After I colored it...I was like...ehhh...*sighs* Dunno if I'll post it on DeviantArt.
Right now I'm listening to Ahn Jae Wook's song, "Chingoo" ("Friend" in Korean). It's such a pretty song. I love the strings in the beginning and end and he sings it so well. My language skills are low, but I understand most of it. ^^; I remember on Music Camp (a Korean weekly top 40 music show) Ahn Jae Wook had number one with this song...but so did Se7en. The stupid boy Se7en won! UGH! Thank goodness he lost this week. Nine weeks in a row is TOO MUCH! But I really didn't like who took over his spot. Some movie star wanna be singer. *coughs* Yeah, Ahn Jae Wook is a movie star-singer and he's good...
Drat, it's almost the end of the month. X_X That means I have to make another blog layout. *whistles* Who's next in my list of bishies to post? Hmmm...

*gasps* I drove THREE times today. It was my first time too. My mom took me to the parking lot and I went around it like...a dozen times before I had to go to the Drivers ED driving...It wasn't that hard. o_o And I didn't run over anything. When I was driving with the instructor, I found out I made only two really big mistakes---when I make turns, I sometimes use an underhand and sometimes I'll make curve turns instead of squared ones. Oops. He said I've got good periphial vision though. And here I thought I'd be blind to everything except straight ahead. XD I thought I was only going to drive in my high school's parking lot (the other two in the car with me were finishing up their lessons because they were the June group. They went to stores and the country roads.), but he took me into the residential areas. X_X Oh well, he said I did good for a first timer, so I'm happy. :)
Melissa invited me to volunteer at the nursing home tomorrow. They're taking the special ed kids to the movies and the more volunteers they have, the more kids they can take. They're going to see Sinbad. I'm going! I can't wait! I love doing anything with kids to help them out. It'll be more people experience for me if I'm going into psychology. I used to be so...not exactly anti-social...I was just shy. o_o Still am a little, but I'm working away from it! Yaaay!
Oh, I saw Forest Gump, The Bourne Identity, and part of Gladiator when I went over to Melissa's when she offered to help with the drivers ed project---check all of the car stats. We stayed there because our moms wanted to talk and talk. XD I loooved Forest Gump! Such a funny/sad movie. I never saw it before then, but I heard good things about it. Now I know why. ^^The Bourne Identity was mediocre. I was eating chachang so my mind wasn't focused on it. At the ending I was like, "That's it?!" Didn't see enough of Gladiator to make a comment on it. ^^;
On Sunday I actually spent three hours typing a story. o_o Can we say, no life? It's not even short either. I just found myself writing a bit more about Jade's past. Why I start new stories instead of finishing the extremely long ones that have been incomplete for months is beyond me. Oh, that reminds me! I finished writing how Topaz and Hide met! Yaaay! I've been writing that one since NOVEMBER, but because of school, I spent like a couple of minutes every week until I finally completed it. Bani said when she printed it out it came to 30 pages. When I did it, it came to 31. Who'd of thought three Notepads were that long. X_X She actually cried! I never thought I could write anything emotional, much less sweet. But she gave me a good review! XD It's supposedly her favorite of mine so far...*suspicious of adulations*
I'm going to continue freeing some space on my hard drive. If no one comes online to talk to me, I'll write another entry out of boredom. XP

11:50 PM

I came back from Driver's ED. Monday (the first day), my mom, for some reason, dropped me off ten minutes till six. And the class doesn't start until six thirty. X_X Well, at least Bani and Melissa are there suffering with me. XP Yesterday, we had Mr. Mercato, who I think is a little better because he has a sense of humor and relates the rules to the streets we live at. And he had the Chevron cars driving to demonstrate some of the no-no's. Today, we had Mr. Carey, an Army medic, teach us First Aid. He's not as serious as the other teachers and was pretty funny. Histronics help me concentrate/stay awake. ^_^
Because I missed a few days, I'll backtrack...
July 4th was spent with the neighbors across the street. They made a big meal because they were expecting the whole neighborhood to show, but we were the only ones who came. The others could have at least declined beforehand. >_> Anyways, that was the first time I met them. They're really nice people. ^_^ The couple's son, who's only like 22, is the architect of all the houses in the area! *dies* How amazing!
I finished a short story about Jade and Kaze. It took four hours of typing (some of the time spent playing Tetris to let the brain think for a second...yeah, lame excuse *snickers*) but it was worth it. I didn't care much for the story at first, but after two readings, I love it. XD Guess I'm starting to appreciate the things I do now. *laughs*
Monday was the last day of the library. *sighs* I'm going to miss everyone...Mrs. Wells, Kat, Sarah, Jessica, Dorothy, and Mrs. Patricia. I'll miss the kids. The stories. The art projects. The crazy sequins on the floor...nah...not those. *laughs* Picking them up after the kids had thrown them around was such a chore. ^^; I got my recommendation letter from Mrs. Wells and it felt like I lost a part of my life...*sighs* Least I'll have memories, right? ^-^
Today I went to Melissa's house for lunch. Ate kwook-su (Korean noodles and soup) and watched half of My Big Fat Greek Wedding. It's such a funny movie! I want it on DVD! *laughs* I wish I had a family that close even if Tula (sp?) is embarassed by it. ^^; Couldn't you feel the love? *laughs*
Hmmm...since some people are actually interested in me translating/summarizing my favorite Korean drama, here we go! (remember, my memory isn't the greatest and my summarizing skills...aren't the best.)
Uhni spends some time with her "Opah" (means brother, but girls call their boyfriends this). Her best friend, who actually has a twin, Kotnip (I think that's the one...they look alike and everything. And they're so pretty...I love their hair.) tells her the only way to keep him is to kiss him. It's like...leaving a marker on who's yours. If you don't do it, some tramp could steal him. She's all excited (who wouldn't be? I need to post some pics XD) but she doesn't get his "first kiss." When Kumi was walking home with Kotnip's twin, she faints. Kumi's a lot weaker than Uhni and gets sick a lot. Kotnip's twin panicks and calls for help. Opah (what is his name o_O *snickers* I just call him my Opah XP) comes along and gives her mouth to mouth. The twin thought he was kissing Kumi and beats him up. (they're country folk, so they aren't aware of many "city" things.) At first Kumi was disgusted after realizing what he had done, but then she started to reaaaaally like him and imagined it as really romantic. ^^; Of course, Uhni finds out and is heartbroken, thinking that her sister had stolen her first love. She dresses up to go on a date with him, but Kumi finds out about the meeting and meets him first. Because of the rumors, she thought she lost him.
Later, Kumi's father breaks his leg. The mother demands Uhni to drop school so she can help harvest the crops on the farm. She gets upset and ends up leaving school before her high school graduation, which is only a few days away. So she only has a junior high education, states the law.
From there, I think it ends the first part of the story...
I'm getting tired. ^^; And it took three days to write this entry. *laughs*

I'm so sad...so many things are ending. ~_~
First of all, my favorite Korean comedy/drama ended yesterday. I have no idea what's the actual translation of the title. *thinks* Something about being proud of the woman who can stand for herself? *tries to pronounce it in Korean* We-gee-dahng-dan. Anyways, it was about these two girls being born at the same time. One girl, Kumi, is born to a farmer's family. Uhni is orphaned after the farmer finds her mother and takes her into his house. They are raised as twins. I looooved the part when Uhni goes to Seoul after her mother tells her she can't attend school anymore. (The reason that she withheld from her? She wants Uhni to work in the fields and use the money she's paying for her tuition for Kumi.)
Uhni goes to the capital and is amazed by the city. She gets robbed and only had a little money to buy food. But she discovers they give you choco cakes for donating blood. So she does that and meets...dun dun duuuun...This super cute guy. XD Since she's starving, she talks and acts crazy. He thinks she's insane and tries to get away from her. She finds out from his accent that he's from the same region as her. He's going home from college. She begs him to help her get a bus ticket home. Since she's too weird, he leaves quickly. Later on at the bus terminal, he sees her fighting with a little boy selling gum. The boy calls her a mean old lady and goes off. It's winter and she notices he's really cold. So she gives her coat to the boy. The college student witnessed it and realized she's a really kind hearted person. He gives her a ticket. ^_^ They end up going back home together. When the bus stalls because of bad weather, they cuddle up an of course, fall in love. *sighs*
I'll tell more later. It's a long story condensed into 17 episodes. And it gets really sad...~_~ I'll try to find some screencaps from the show. The college student becomes a doctor...*swoons* He's so cute...Promise. It was his first acting experience and now he's extremely popular. *laughs*
I found out from watching last week's Music Camp that one of the two songs that play throughout the show was featured in it. The group who made the song is Subway. I can't remember the title right now. ~_~ *whistles*
Second, the volunteering at the library is almost over. Kat won't be coming on the last day, Monday, because she's got work that day. Mrs. Wells won't be at the library after that day because she's quitting to go back to college. I'm probably not going to see Dorothy anymore, but I might see Jessica and Sarah at school.
I don't like it when things end. That's why I'm usually reluctant to read ends of good books or finish games I love. (like Final Fantasy VII...I'm delaying the end)
I've been writing a PPM story based on the game Truth or Dare. It's definately not turning out like planned. o_O Oh well. It's almost done. XD
My music is so loud. O_O *turns it down*

Ooooh...I forgot some things. *laughs*
Yesterday, from 2-7 I was at Bani's house. We watched My Best Friend's Wedding and How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days. I wanted to the second movie ever since it hit theatres. And what luck! Bani rented it! Yaaaaay! Friend! *hugs and laughs* They were such cute cute movies! They really put me in such a dreamy-ish mood. XD

KT: Those icky girly feelings came out pretty late, didn't they?
TK: Shut up.
KT: You're such a slow bloomer.
TK: Bite me.
KT: Yeah, you started cleaning and cooking and baking more. It took all these years to get rid of that tomboy in you. Now serve me!
TK: *beats him up*

I almost didn't want to leave. I forgot what other movie was on. But they were going to eat dinner so I decided it was most polite to book it. *laughs* I was getting hungry too. So I walked home and when I got home I wasn't hungry anymore. I felt sick actually. o_o But I saw cute movies! So it made up for it. XD
For dinner today I made chicken fajitas. It was the first time I ever ate them. They're pretty good. Or I'm an outstanding cook. *laughs* JK! I usually shrink from onions, but I'm starting to be able to eat them. Just...not on pizza. It'll take me forever to eat something like...jello or mushrooms.
Purity! *shakes her fist at her* I can't believe you attacked me when I was taking a break! *laughs* She gave me a wallpaper of Morgan to assault me after I made her a wallpaper of Casey. We're still in that art war where we see who can draw the other more pics. I'm still winning by two! *shakes her fist again* I'll get you back! You hear me?! *snickers and plots*
I keep getting more new ideas for stories and mangas. I'm going to shorten all of them so I can finish them all. *laughs*

Yay! New month, new layout. July features Citrine Yu, one of my many bishies from PPM. XD He's a chef at a gourmet restaurant. His birthday is today! Yay! 25!
Today at the library we had a guest speaker. The singing zoologist. It was pretty cute and the kids enjoyed it. He played the guitar and the jaw harp. Then he pulled out the puppets and taught them about different survival techniques animals had with a story about a pink poodle trying to find food. Turtles had their hard shells, skunks had their scent, and porcupines had their quills. Simple, yet cute. I liked the "Anaconda la Bamba" song. *laughs*
Afterwards, I came home and found out the pictures from the senior yearbook came in. I LOOKED HORRIBLE. I'm serious. I'm not photogenic since my eyes are sensitive to the flash. And my hair. Oh goodness. Where's Fuego when I need him? *sweatdrop*
Now that I've gotten over the thing on Sunday and I'm calm about it, I'll explain what happened. When I got there, I signed in since I was a walk-in. The photographer had three more appointments to do before she could get to the walk-ins. I could deal with that. But after she finished with the appointments, I noticed none of the other walk-ins before me were there. I asked her if I could go since I only wanted one pose. She told me I had to wait; she'd page me. Okay. Fine. I shrugged and waited. Then I noticed people were filling out walk-in slips...and then getting their picture taken a few minutes later. Um. Right. Since I had to be somewhere else, I was going to ask her if I could just have an appointment for a later day. I went up to the table to ask, but before I could say anything, she said really rudely that I'd have to wait. She had that tone and that expression. Then she went back to her customers and took their pictures. I was so upset, I left right there. Forget pictures. I took photojournalism and I have a camera.

Oh, on Monday I spent most of my afternoon chatting with SS, Flik, Kim, and CiM. They're so cool. XD They do rpgs like Bani, Purity, and me. I always seem to get eaten...kitty pie. With little ears sticking out. o_o I'll kidnap them and stick them in a chatroom very very soon. Mwhahaha! We also played Grafitti---an online pictionary on Yahoo Games. I only tied once. *laughs* I'll get better at it. ^_~
I need a break. Maybe I'll draw some. *shrugs*
