Encounter weekend with God last week. Was really good. Except the food could have been much better. Yah, not to mentioned the cold rubberband noodles in the morning. Think we can even play zero-point with it. Hahaha! ^_^

Anyway, more camps are coming up and I am not sure if I can afford anymore time for it.

Send Lio off at the airport last night. He was going off for an eight day holiday tour in Korea. Envy him. Really do. And add the fact that the air tickets and accomadation arrangements are dirt cheap, now is pretty the best time to travel. Other than to China of course..

We manage to send him off all the way from the departure hall, the time where he walked in with his travel mates through the gate into the aircraft and to the time where the aircraft took off in front of us. Hahaha, talk about sending ppl off. A first for me.

I hate going to the dentist. I have as much excitement going to a dentist as one would expect a Yorkshire vs Huddersfield in a 3rd division English league match...maybe much worse.

But still, the alternative is seeing my teeth decay. So off I go this morning to my more trusted dental clinic below my block. Actually, I like this particular dentist not becos he's skilled (he's quite skilled actually), but more becos of his personality. Yah, he's a Malay to boot. One of the rare rare Malays who's a dentist..AND speaks chinese to you. And he does all that scraping and polishing of your teeth while humming FM 93.3 songs. He makes it so naturally, so family.

Thats what I call building trust between patients and doctors.

Alot of times, trying isn't enuff. The thing most people missed out is that when we fail, we didn't think about how best we improve what was done so that we can have a better chance at succeeding the next try. Instead, we go around doing the same old things that unsurprisingly, will fail again.

It seems I have to wait for that particular window to be open again. The window whereby a person's heart is teachable again.

Everytime there's a really heavy rain, I get to see many snails trudging their way across the poorly lited footpath behind my house. I stood by and observed them, moving ever slowly and tirelessly across the "death highway".

Sometimes, I really feel so sad for them. You see, many innocent snails had died while making this pilgrim, under the shoes of unknowning passerbys. All it takes is just a loud "crack" sound and the snail's life is snuffed out. And the guy/gal is left with scrubbing the remains off their footwear and continue their way.

It happens all the time. I always wondered if snails ever saw the "end" of the path. That their slow speed (a few centimeters per second) would have made anyone lose his patience...but not snails apparently.

I find snails extremely cool creatures. They can't be bothered by what we say about their "slowness" or seemingly useless trek. To them, it's their life and they did that with gusto. To them, time is relative. They didn't seem to mind...they had the end in mind and as long as they reach their final destination in the end, it all that matters.

I don't know if it was something I said that trigger off something in that person. It wasn't anything like a arguement or a tongue sparring, on my view, but somehow it feels as if I once again made someone think that I am imposing.

But whatever it is, when the dust settles, we are all entitled to our own choices and what we chose to do. I hope you still count me as your friend, becos I still do..even with all that has happened between us.

This may be funny to some of you guys.

I went out for my erhu lesson and God spoke to me regarding my room. Ok, I know my room hasn't been cleaned and clear for ages..with all the dust and useless clutter and everything. But one thing struck me..

"Son, no girl will go out with a pig."

That shook me up. So first thing as I stepped into the house, I put down all my stuff and began a 2 hour long of scrubbing and sweeping of all those dirt that was left untouched over the past years. My goodness.

But in the end, I am glad I am breathing a much cleaner air now. Hehehe, scheduing my next "spring cleaning"... ^_^

Okay, this is probably one of the most tiring saturdays I ever had. Church meeting in the afternoon, service in the evening, then congreg. meeting at night. Phew.

Ken shared something with me about bible studying. And I realised that my depth in the Word isn't deep enough to teach. So toying with the idea of getting Iv with me to read the entire Bible (Admittably, I haven't done that).

It's been a great day. But it was nearly spolit by a terrible headache in the afternoon, which thankfully, eased up.

Had a one day off from work due to a shutdown (Times are really bad) and so ken and i went on a round Singapore trip in his car (or his father's car rather). First stop was to NTU to meet lio and dan for lunch, and then to ken's sch for some project handing in.

Yah, then ken and i went for X-men 2. The show is not bad but I am very displeased with the mannerism of movie goers nowadays...handphones ringing, the chit chatting and all. I got so mad that I turned to the guy beside me and asked him "politely" to shut his gap. Anyway, the show was not bad, though was a little lower than what I expected. Ken thot it was good though.

So its off for dinner and a short time at the library. Didn't know there was a store selling G-R-E-A-T laksa with huge clams! Hahaha, as a clam-and-laksa lover, this is paradise. =p

Yah, we round up the day by picking dan up at his sengkang home for satay and chatting in tampines. (His wifey not around, so lonely) Hahaha. Anyway, I just came back home. It's really been a long time since I spend so much time outside, just enjoying myself. =D
