Do you know how hard it is to find an aspiring non-Japanese mangaka who is willing to at least draw [erected] phallic objects, even if they are through pants? I applied for some more jobs today. The most promising (sans the Cedar Point one) is actually at CVS/Pharmacy, but that's only because they didn't specify whether they were hiring or not; the lady behind the counter just handed me an application when I asked if they were hiring or not :) Plan: get a job for x weeks; if I get the Cedar Point job (*knocks on wood*), I'll quite first job with enough extra money for when I get up to Cedar Point.

I watched an anime today ^^ the first YnM/DoD dvd (need to buy the second). Whoever does Muraki's dubbed voice must have been doing their best Hannibal Lecter impression. I found myself expecting Muraki to say, "I ate his liver with fava beans and a nice Chianti." >.< I also downloaded Hisoka's song "Norowareta Tsukiya no Kioku". It's very soothing in a sad gothic way.

After listening to the Velvet Goldmine OST, I want to do a Treize layout. The songs just reminded me of Treize...well the Venus in Furs ones, but that might have been because the everso lovely Thom Yorke on vocals sounds similar to Okiayu Ryoutarou (Treize's seiyuu). The image of Treize singing 2HB plagues my mind. Given that it's Leather Clad Treize, the performance is rather kinky X3 I think I may draw my next layout...

Well, yesterday I signed up online for a job at Cedar Point. There's 4000 spots available, and if I get one, I can stay in employee lodging for $17.50/week and I'd be working from April to August. That means...temporary hiatus from all things online...unless I can find an Internet Cafe that I can get over to twice a week at least. Temporary Hiatus won't be so bad...I'd be making money to pay for part of my college and I may be able to buy a laptop :3 Plus, think of the tan I'll get!
Hopefully, I shouldn't be leaving too soon. It takes 20 days for the application to be processed. So at least by April 10th I should know whether or not I'm going to be going, and depending on when I get up there if I get the job, I should be able to see whether or not there's any need for me to go on a hiatus from the Internet.
Anyhow. Other news. X10 is coming out in April evidently. ~sigh~ I'm sorry Chobits and CCS, but I have a priority to buy the X graphic novels. Simply to read the horrible/too bold Viz version and bash it for all it's worth ($15.95 plus a 10% discount if I get it at Walden's...all because I have a Walden's card. Go me.). Yes, my life is that shallow.

Memory lane: Before I knew anything about X, I was shown an Animerica Extra Installment of X. Sorata (dressed in his suit) and Arashi were in it, talking about some group of assassins at the end (which were the Sakurazukamori, which I know now is just one, handsome devil of a man *snerk*). I thought that Sorata and Arashi were partners in the sense that they were sent by some organization. Sorata was Mulder-esque and Arashi was a more no-nonsense Scully.
Sorata: Scully- er- Arashi! The truth is out there! And the Sakurazukamori are behind it! Trust no one!...except me. Speaking of which, want to go out with me?

Version Tragedy
From just reading two chapters of Ludwig II, I was hooked. This layout is a homage to that series. The picture was borrowed from scans found at Obsession, which is an excellent site for yaoi scans. The actual life of Ludwig II is a sad and fascinating one. He was the Mad King of Bavaria (aka the Dream King). When he was 41 years old, he committed suicide or he was murdered (nobody knows exactly what happened). His body was found floating in a lake. For a better, though condensed, version of Ludwig II's life, go here. Nee, isn't this a nice break from dark layouts?
