Based on Tetsuo's Hellsing-Chobits cross (okay, so he just had Alucard dressed as Atashi...):

Atashi/Chii= Alucard
Anata/Black Chii= Anderson
Sumomo (Plum)= Seras (I can imagine her going into sceensaver mode and dancing XD XD XD)
Hideki/possibly the "someone just for me"= Integra
Minoru (the young Sakurazukamori!Subaru look-a-like)= ....Walter?

And those are all the Hellsing characters that I know of. If I had seen more of Hellsing, I would have been able to offer a more in-depth casting (I know a lot about Chobits). Tetsuo, have fun. And please, if you draw any of my casting, please post them. I would very much LOVE to see how this comes out.

I hath bought-eth Yami no Matsuei. The animation is purty...*drools* The English voices....*stares in horror*

Okay, so they weren't that bad....

Tsuzuki: A voice near perfection *_*
Hisoka: His voice was deeper than the original Japanese voice and wasn't what I expected. The VA did do a good job portraying Soka-chan, overall, though he was too quiet at times. It was hilarious how he said "You took my last dimsum"...
Muraki: I was expecting a dub along the lines of insane doctor and I got an insane doctor. He didn't sound sexy, though, as he did in his Japanese voice. But he sounded insane, and that's the important part.
Watari: NOOOOO!!!! POOR WATARI!!!! *cries*
Tatsumi: PERFECTION!
Konoe: Um, was expecting an older sounding voice...sounded younger than he looked.
Blue Gushoushin: O.O His English voice is super deep. His Japanese voice is high pitched. When he bitches in English, he sounds like a disgruntled employee. When he bitches in Japanese...he just sounds like he's bitching in Japanese. Excuse me while I die of laughter from the radical difference.
Red Gushoushin: By the time he came on, I had the dialogue in Japanese, so I can't offer a critique.
Maria: Pretty good in either language
Maria's psycho stepmum: Um, ditto?

The anime did a good job portraying the first story arc, IMO. In Japanese or in English, it was pretty good. The dvd extras are fun. The opening theme is gothically great. I can't wait till the next dvd- "Devil's Trill"!!!

I found something better than drugs for period relief- Jello. Seriously! My mum made lime jello with pinapples and this stuff has relieved my pain quicker than Midol or Women's Tylenol ever could! I'm on cloud nine now ^^

If we go to the mall tomorrow, I'm getting a haircut....and YnM...definitely YnM. I'm getting something managable that won't grow out weird and unmanagable. Something that I can dye dark red. Something I can have fun with while messing with hair gel.

Hmmm...maybe I'll get a cheap little digital camera too, so I can take pictures and post them for the world to see. Or I could just get a polaroid camera- outdated but classically fun.

I'm still giggling madly from Gravi Remix. Each time I think of any part from the doujinshi, I die in my laughter. Geez...I want a few doujinshi that I can own and translate now...I just don't know for which series ^^; There's so many good, slashy ones out there. Maybe I'll start out light with a few hilarious Gundam Wing shounen-ai doujinshis that degrade the boys to some degree. Meh. That's an idle thought for later consideration.

Wow. You know that you're a mature person when you can read Part One of the Gravitation Remix doujinshi (courtesy of Obsession) and NOT fall apart giggling madly at the glorious amounts of male nudity. Unfortunately, I wasn't mature as the above statement insists. I'm still giggling at the "plot" and poor Sakano-san. And some of the nudity. Yes...a lot of the nudity...

GRR! My boss told me today that I was working tomorrow from 11-3. Again, GRR! Earlier in the week when I asked him, he told me that I wouldn't be working. This means I (1) have to wait till tomorrow to get paid, and (2) can't o to this Jazz concert thing that Becca and Cayman are performing in >.< I like jazz...I like it a lot. I was really looking forward to seeing my peoples perform >:(

Well, Becca and Cayman are downstairs cooking dinner ((because I can't cook anything harder than ramen noodles and fried veggies)). Last night, I downloaded the rest of Zetsuai Vol. 1. I think I'll go read it...

RE: Your TP rant: Amie, I do believe you are correct in all that you said. Ugh. I dread the day Viz takes up Angel Sanctuary; it's such a good manga, with a damn good (if not wordy) script, and Viz sort of takes more creative translation liberties than they should get ((dare I bring their last job on Vol. 9 of X/1999?)). I wish there was another company out there that specialized in translating mangas (Dark Horse doesn't count because they also do their own comic books). The best we can hope for right now is that TokyoPop continues their mass-acquistition of mangas (they're coming out with more manga that Viz is).

OH! I just remembered a manga-translation company: CPM Manga. I have two singular issues of two mangas translated by them: Record of Lodoss War (the Grey Witch story arc) and the original Dark Angel. I believe they also translate Record of Lodoss War: Chronicles of the Heroic Knight ((NOTE: Need to pick up first graphic novel))and Slayers. CPM Manga seems to have dibs on the Kia Asamiya manga (though, I don't know if they license Silent Mobius, and I know they don't have Steam Detectives).

Anyhow, going on to my day...Work was exhausting. The antique-shopping out-of-towners were about today, and they don't tip well ((fact: Decatur is a town with a ton of antique stores)). A majority of the customers (1) came almost all at once over the course of three hours and (2) ate in. I busted my ass to get the dishes done before 2:00. Fortunately, things died down within the last hour and I got to relax and finish up anything else that I had to do.

After work, I came home and slept till six, when I was awakened by Becca and Cayman entering my room. And now Cayman is here ^^

Ugh. I have to work till four tomorrow *bangs head on the table* My consoling is that tomorrow is pay day. Otherwise, I fear that tomorrow may be like today with hordes of antique-shoppers.

Tokyopop, I love you. *_* They has Gravitation and Fake! TP becomes cooler and cooler everyday ((down with Viz! Viva la TokyoPop!)). What next? Earthian? Zetsuai/Bronze? Maybe some Kaori Yuki mangas, likesay Angel Sanctuary or Boys Next Door? ((pleeeeaaaassseee?))

Anyhow, the street date for Fake Vol. 1 is May 06, 2003 (not too long of a wait). The street date for Gravi Vol 1 is June 10, 2003, and Vol 2's date is August 05, 2003.

Here's TP's introduction to Gravi:

Wow. I'm not feeling so hot right now. I guess there's going to be a change in the weather, because I always feel like this whenever there's a sudden change. Or I could have just a mild cold. Oh well. Doesn't effect me in the least bit. I'll still go to work and manage life.

I finished Buffy Season One today XD Can't wait to get season two whenever I can manage to find it. The Sam Goody's I go to also sells used cds and dvds and whatever (they used to be called On Cue). At one time- last week- they had both seasons one and two of Buffy used for $17.99. When I went back this week, season two was gone. This hasn't been the first time I've seen a cheap used copy of season two there (on both occasions, season two was bought) so I suspect that it won't be the last time I see a cheap used copy there either. It's a matter of time. Ke ke ke...

Cayman's coming up tomorrow! He's staying here till Saturday ^^ I wonder if he's finished season one Twin Peaks yet...Not that I'm holding it against him. I don't care how long he keep my Twin Peaks boxset. Sooner or later he'll give it back. All that matters is if he bothered to watch it (he liked the first disc).

I wanted to see if Carla could come up too, but I forgot to ask her and my mother. Next time, I suppose...I was really looking forward to exposing her to the Tokyo Babylon OVAs and some other anime I have in my possession that she hasn't seen yet.

Anyhow, I've made it over the hump of the week (and a horrendously long day). Two more days till the weekend!
