Fox is a spiffy girl with spiffy ideas and a spiffy job. Spiffy! She has the oddest sense of humour and prefers to write any short autobiography in third person (as she is doing now). Her eyes are hazel, her hair is dark blonde, and her height and weight correspond with each other almost perfectly (5'10", 140 lbs). She was born on October 20th, 1984 making her the unique combination of Libra and Rat and 18 years of age. She likes reading, loves music and drawing, and has a long term commitment to anime and manga. She also has an interesting love affair with ice cream and pocky. If you give her either, she will love you forever and forever.

Layout
Vampire: Louis de Pointe du Lac (aka Brad Pitt)
Le Chant: "Forever Love"- X Japan (translated into English)
Colours: Blue & Black (the colours of sorrow)
Why: This is a companion layout to Amie's Lestat Layout. It needed to be made. Originally, it was supposed to be Louis/Claudia, but I couldn't find a pic of Claudia that I liked. The lyrics still fit the character, though. "Forever Love" is for every angsty/tragic figure or couple out there that is doomed by their own devices or fucked over by Destiny. Louis is the epitome of the song. More so than Kamui and all those angsty fucks in X...even Subaru.

*looking at the DVDROM extras on the Descendents of Darkness dvd* They NEVER put in the yummy good pictures that the fangirls want to see. Like the "artistic" ones of Muraki and Hisoka (read: fanservice with a smile). I don't want to see a bloody picture of Chief Konoe and company standing around! I want to see Muraki doing something sadistic to somebody (preferably Tsuzuki and/or Hisoka).
Now I'm tempted to find a service-y picture of Hisoka and put the caption "I am Jailbait" >:D Maybe I'll do a wallpaper or make it my layout (note: I can't find any pictures of Watson/Wotoson!!!). Wallpaper. It would be a yummy wallpaper. *stalks off to find a picture*

My fingers hurt from playing bass last night and I know "Bumblebee Tuna" (the Mistastopheles(sp) version). Go Me.
Becca and Mom are not going to be home till Thursday night. They're staying at my grandparents' house. I'm not sure if it's because my grandma fell and hit her head Sunday or if it's just for convenience, so they don't have to drive so far. Either that or it's because mom's pissed at my stepdad yet again -.-
I hope those Gravitation dvds arrive today. Really wanna see Gravi. If chickie sent them out on Saturday, they should get here either today or tomorrow. That's if she sent them out. If not, I can wait. Ican play my bass guitar. It amuses me to no end :)
Random Layout idea: Watson (Wotoson) from YnM. After this Louis layout I just might attempt a layout for that little guy (he's funny!!!). Either that or this Haruka/FLCL layout I've been playing around with for a while (can't decide on a picture). NewType has some nice character sketches of Haruka this month, so I might just take advantage of those.

I found out my strings were tuned to the wrong notes. Becca (who was directing me on which note each string was supposed to be while we were tuning the bass) was reading the paper upside down -.- I corrected the mistake and now everything is lower and looser, which makes more sense (you don't want taught strings when you're playing bass. A lot of the bass guitarists out there in the bass-oriented nu-metal bands out there slap the bass strings to get a louder sound). I can play the bass line of "Louis Louis" now :D The trademark clicking sound that all basses have is actually not that bad (Tetsuo, have you ever seen "A Year and a Half in the Life of Metallica"? Poor Jason..he had to be put behind a wall of foam when they were recording him. All because of the trademark clicking).
What I'm doing with my bass guitar is learning how to play all the pep songs we had to play in marching band during football and basketball games. I played baritone during the marching band season and I usually had part of the bassline (mixed with some harmonious parts. the tubas and bass drums were the only ones who ever had the whole bassline). It's a good strategy because these are basslines that I already am familiar with.
My favourite immoral show is on: Joe Millionaire. It's one of my many guilty pleasures. I watch it out of morbid curiousity. Good thing it's the last episode.

I'm about to go off into another rant on my bass guitar. I'm not bragging; I'm just proud that I bought it myself and that I'm making a nice progress. I guess I'll describe it, first. The body is black, it's a four-string bass (sans the e string), and it's a Silvertone starter bass. I figured out how to play parts of the Imperial March from Star Wars! w00t! I'm getting quicker too with my fingers. I'm still slow when it comes to plucking, but I'm improving ^^V
I bought instant ramen noodles and instant wanton soup for my lunch for the rest of the week. After buying this bass guitar kit, I'm broke (except for what I have in the back and I'm not about to touch that), so I can't buy lunch at my work (yeah yeah...my boss is a cheapskate, only giving us, his employees, 10% off of food and drinks. Normally, employers at least offer 25% off, if not free). I don't have a problem with packing my lunch ^^ Maybe, I'll get in the habit of doing that everyday, ne?
The news in any form has let me down. All that's ever in the newspaper anymore are articles about the potential war with Iraq, the possible war with North Korea, child molesters, murderers, and politicians. It's all depressing and does nothing to highlight the good points about humanity. I don't agree with war, but I'm not a pacifists. If there's a damn good reason to fight, then fight. Sometimes diplomacy isn't the way. Some problems are solved better with fists than words. I don't support this war with Iraq, though. They weren't a problem until Bush made them a problem. I have a feeling that this is more of a war over oil than over hidden weapons and the rights of people in another nation.
Really, none of this matters. The only thing that matters, when you look at the full picture, is the Earth. War can wipe out mankind- or famine, pestilence, or a little speculated thing known as the Apocalypse- but the Earth will go on. For a million or more years, the Earth will be here. I guess that's a bit comforting.

Bass guitar is sooo fun *_* I'm not that good, but I can play scales, appegios (sp?), and the beginning of Iron Man :D Unfortunately, I'm limited only to three of the four strings. My E string broke because I tighted it too much when Becca and I were tuning the bass earlier. The E string is the thinnest string on a bass and naturally has the highest notes. Becca offered to take it into Hauer's Music for me tomorrow to get a new string ^_^

Well, I'm giving in. I'm buying the bass guitar kit. I need something to do. All I ever do is get up, go to work, come home and do nothing. I'm sick of being bored off my ass. I'm going to learn bass guitar ^_^V
Plus, what I'm getting Cayman for Valentine's Day is pretty inexpensive and I should have enough left over to buy it :Þ

Grandma's lasagna...*drools* Right now, I'm a content, overstuffed Fox. Go me.
I have finally seen one of America's best films: Gone With the Wind. Four hours of quality time with my sister, my mother, my grandmother, and my very first generation Irish-American grandfather. It sort of shocked me that my grandpa was into GwtW; I didn't think Civil War soap operas were his thing.
Anyhow, loved the movie. For something that was made in the 30's, it had some very nice artistic shots. The restoration on the film itself (enhanced colours, sound, ect) made it even better. Pretty colours *sparkly eyes* The end was great and very satisfying. I didn't cry *victory sign* Unfortunately, Shawshank Redemption was on after we finished Gone with the Wind and it was at the part where Brooks kills himself. Dammit. That scene is always sadder if you've read the short story the film is based on (yeah yeah I was bawling). I don't care what they say about Stephen King's drama works! Shawshank Redemption is one of his best stories!

That bass guitar kit I wanted has been reduced to $169.99 *_* But I shall forsake it (for now) because it's so damn close to Valentine's Day and at the end of the month is mine and Cayman's 6-month anniversary. Plus I still need to save up for the emo glasses. My mum said if I wanted them, I'd have to buy them myself ;_; ...or something like that (she had also said earlier that she'd pay for half. ugh. mothers are weird)
Addition: Flipping through this month's Newtype...: Holy Fuck! From this ad, it looks like ADV has rights on Saiyuki! I don't know whether to rejoice or be scared. There are too many cons and pros to weigh. I was actually expecting Pioneer to pick it up.

There was much a fangirl squeal over Miss Ko's X/Parakiss fusion XD Kamui being called Enrique just made my day. Kinda reminded me of this idea my sister had for a cooking show, where she was the host and her "special helper" was this uber-sexy man in thong named Enrique and there was always a guest appearance by the uber-uber-sexy mail man, Raoul. Enrique would be the cooking expert while my sister was there for show (sort of like Al's and Tim's relationship on the fictitious "Tool Time" on Home Improvements). Personally, I think Raoul should be shagging Enrique, but that's just me and we all know how much of a shameless voyeur I am.
Anyhow, if ever something needed to be drawn, Ko's X/Parakiss crossover is it. Bonus points if the artist can either (1) produce an entire doujinshi or (2) make a fanfic on it (assuming they have zero artistic ability). I would try my hand at drawing it *smirk* but I'd be too tempted to throw in Subaru dressed in a frilly number reminescent of something the Paradise Kiss gang would produce.
In other news, I am fully convinced that K (the psycho American from Gravi) is a proud member of the NRA.

Amie, I love you for posting the link to
the official Japanese site for Buffy *_* Tell Jesse that he's bloody brillant for finding it!
...
It still looks like they're in season one. WAI!!!! I LOVE THE LOGO!!! XD XD XD Why's it better than the American logo? ;_;
Well, Gravi dvds did not come. Am waiting paitently, while also fearing what Tetsuo said about Angela's(?) problems with her roomie. Tetsuo, would the roommate sink so low as to open la chique's mail? *panic*
And the Simpson's episode with Mulder and Scully is on. God I love Mulder's picture for his badge X3 David Duchovney....yummers :3

*straight face* Oh yeah. I so dig lembas. As a matter of fact, that's my whole purpose for buying the extended version, just to see the cute (and possibly gay) elf moon over lembas.
....
Legolas and Lembas. I'm sensing a kinky undertone. My Voyeur Senses are tingling!

....
Hold on....Stereotypical Fox Quote in 3...2...1...
And we now return you to your inflight movie: Waiting for Gravitation ((hint hint, Tetsuo. Did la chickie send those out yet? I've figured that receiving those Gravitation dvds will be the only high point of my week. It would have been getting the 3rd X dvd, but the bloody warehouse Bruce ordered it from didn't have it ;_;))

Proving God's Death Through David Bowie
Space Oddity can be used to prove that God is dead and insignificant to the course of mankind in the first place. Take into consideration the cast of the song:
Over the course of the song, Major Tom is blasted into space (elevation of God). He's high above the earth (sitting in a tin can) and he surmises that everything is normal and unchanging on Earth below (planet earth is blue) and it will always be normal without his influence (and there's nothing I can do).
Upon this revelation, he says "Though I'm past one hundred thousand miles/I'm feeling very still/And I think my spaceship knows which way to go." His spaceship is his vessel, representing religion (how religion is god's vessel). So, even though he's really of no use, his "spaceship" will still go on. He then tells Ground Control to tell his wife (aka faithful followers) that he loves her. Then the circut between Tom and GC goes dead. Ground Control have lost all communication with him but still repeatedly try to communicate. So Tom/God is dead, assumably. His last lines are:
And if you think I really believe this, you are really gullible. I'm just shittin' y'all. This is a senseless little theory to entertain my mind.
