I am excited to share with everyone our next big change to Studiofrost. But if you have been following me via Twitter, you would know that we have been looking for models for Studiofrost because I now prefer to be behind the camera. I have been modelling for Studiofrost for 3 years now which is equivalent to 547 days of photoshoot! :0
Let me share with you some of the photos taken from 2 years ago up till now and maybe you can see how much we’ve grown ever since we started.
We started in 2007 and I am sorry I no longer have those pictures from then because my laptop crashed! :( So we start from ’08.
I remember this photoshoot very very well because it was taken a few days after my wedding and Ili was my photographer. It was a damn hot day and I remember sweating so much. It wasn’t fun, but we ate Macdonalds right after the shoot so it ended pretty well.
This was, believe or not taken was taken in my room in front of my curtain. :p
We had quite a number of outdoor shoots in 2008 and most of them were taken by Diah who was pregnant. We went up a hill, down a hill with her big belly.
We then got sick of having to spend hours in the sun twice a week and decided to start doing photoshoots at the comfort of our own home instead. But of course, we didn’t have the studio then. We used colourful cloths as our backdrop. LOL I remember going shopping for cloths in Ikea with Diah. I can’t believe we did all that!
A few months after, we decided that WE NEED a proper backdrop. Our business was doing well and it was about time we move forward and so we did. We turned one of my rooms into a studio and bought backdrops in 3 basic colours; Black, white and grey.
But of course, it didn’t stop there. We wanted more. We wanted a magazine effect to our photos and so I did my research. I found out that I need proper lighting in order for our buyers to be able to see our apparels clearly. The camera flash wasn’t doing the clothes justice.
So I bought lighting and the photos turned out so much better!
In late 2009, we moved to our own domain, Studiofrost.net and it has been a breeze since then.
Everything got so much easier for us as we do not need to stay on the computer for hours after every launch. (I swear I stayed on the computer for 8-12hours non-stop after every launch when we were in livejournal).
We are still improving as we speak...
...because of course, we only want the best for our customers who have been supporting us since the day we launched. So far we have had 2 fashion festivals and both were such a success, thanks to all of buyers and friends.
We are still learning and improving ourselves and recently, we have made another big change. I have decided to be behind the camera and snapping away instead of modelling for the clothes :) Of course I will miss modelling for Studiofrost and I am very very sure I will model an outfit or two when I feel like it. :p
So anyway as I was saying, WE HAVE A NEW MODEL! :)
This is Ratna.
Pretty isn’t she? She is our first model and we are still welcoming more models because we intend to do different looks for every batch. So if you think you’ve got what it takes, do email us with your recent photo to askstudiofrost@gmail.com
Ratna modelled for 17 pieces of our new arrivals on Saturday and we absolutely adore her. Thank you Ratna and we hope you had as much fun as we did! Looking forward to working with you again soon ya?
With that, I would like to thank all our loyal customers, friends and family for everything. Especially to our families who have been praying for nothing but the best for us. We couldn’t have gotten this far if it’s not for your prayers.
To our customers, what else can we say to you? We Love YOU! :)
Now to check out our new arrivals, click here NEW ARRIVALS.
Happy shopping!

/My house is for sale!/ Thursday, January 28, 2010
Hello! :)
As some of you might have already known, I am selling my home because I need a bigger space for Studiofrost/Studioperfect and some other personal reasons.
I love my house very much and I am sad that I have to move out from a place I truly regard as my home. The fact that I got engaged and married here really makes me NOT want to sell this place. :( Too many good memories here. But well, I don’t have much choice for now. Studioperfect are getting more bookings and we would love to do more family studio shoots to cater to those who enquired. So see? I am sacrificing my lovely home for my business. Well, it is ok because I am very confident of this decision and it is all for the better. Insyallah.
HDB valuation officer came on Monday to evaluate the house and he was really worried that I am selling my house for the wrong reasons. “aiyah, why sell? Renovate until very nice already.”
OK, thank you sir. I hope you will put a high price for my house.
But seriously, my house is so well maintained and kept very clean all day everyday.
I am very particular about mess so you won’t see that in my house. I take very good care of every corner of the house. It is practically new!
Here are some pictures of my lovely home
Living room.
House entrance.
My favourite black wall corner! :)
Dining.. On the right; the glass sliding door leads to my kitchen.
My room, view from the door.
My room, view from the window.
Master bedroom bathroom (I chose the whole colour and concept for this)
So for those interested, I am at Pasir Ris, house is a 4A flat at 1216 sqf. My house is considered big for a 4A thanks to the extra balcony space which is now used as Studioperfect’s studio.
The valuation is on the way, so for now I am unable to tell you how much my house is. If you are interested you can email me at aanurul@gmail.com and I will let you know how much the valuation and asking price of my house is once valuation is ready. Deal?
Thank you for reading and I hope to hear from interested buyers soon!
Valuation report is ready and my lovely house is 0,000. We are looking to sell at 8,000. br>
Kindly drop me an email at aanurul@gmail.com if you are interested.

No time to write a proper entry on our 1st kite flying experience, so I hope the pictures will tell all.

/Not for the intellectual people./ Wednesday, January 6, 2010
Ok, this is a very bimbotic camwhore entry of all time.
Just got back from my run and I am trying to cool my body down. So here I am with an entry with ONLY pictures of me (because I love me).
This shot was taken by the husband on Christmas eve at Orchard Road and I yike it.
Thumbs Up, husband!
That day, I made a stupid mistake of curling my hair.
I don’t usually regret the choices I make, but looking at the photos, I shouldn’t have done anything to it.
My hair is naturally straight, the stubborn kind of straight, you get what I mean?
The type that CANNOT be styled no matter how much hairspray I use.
And then....stupid me decided that my hair will look better if I curl it.
Yucks. I look so old matured. I DON’T LIKE IT.
Aaaaaaaaand.....that is all for now.
Going to shower now.
*****
See, told ya it was going to be a bimbotic entry.

/Happy New Year!/ Saturday, January 2, 2010
Hello! So it is already 2010? This means that Studiofrost turns 3 this year, and I just realized that Sharleez is the same age as Studiofrost. (Happy birthday Sharleez, in half an hour's time)
Speaking of which, we have our new arrivals again today and
because you have been asking for the shoes I have been wearing for the shoots, we have decided to include shoes in our latest arrivals today. YEY!
It is gorgeous, by the way. Even Diah (the woman with 3 kids and WILL NEVER wear heels unless she is going for functions) kept a pair for herself!
It is a very comfortable pair and the best part? It goes with anything! Don't believe me? Visit Studiofrost website and look check out all our new arrivals. I actually wore the same pair of shoes for EVERY OUTFIT. HAHA (except for 2 or 3 maybe)
So go and check them out, and hurry if you are interested because stocks are very very very limited!
What are you waiting for?

/The Husband turns 27./ Wednesday, December 30, 2009
This is an attempt to write a long entry for my blog. We shall start with my husband’s birthday celebration with his family. The theme party we have on everyone’s birthday, whether you like it or not.
Initially, husband wanted ‘Dance with the Devil’ as a theme, but I disagreed because that means that all of us would look like monsters or ghosts (or aliens even) and that would scare the nadyas away. Also because; what the heck was I supposed to wear for that theme? I wouldn’t want to lose to champions like Tatek and Ian you know. I suggest we disqualify those who had won for more than 3 times. Agree, daddy? (dengki)
Moving on, husband then decide to have a ‘Sports’ theme instead.
Now, that was easy peasy! I already know what I should wear, thanks to the husband who is into sports, big time!
But as I was getting ready, I was telling the husband that we would definitely lose to Tatek, who will ALWAYS churn out something super funny at the very last moment. I angry you know.
Soooo....for the fun of it, I came as a soccer player.
I call myself Lulu Beckham. Do you like my glam name? I can kick balls (into people’s faces).
Husband was...well no need for introductions.
And if you can’t read that note he wrote, it said “Ladies, please don’t tell my wife”. Ya, you walk around the house with a top full of women’s pictures I’M SURE your wife wouldn’t be curious to know why. :p
Tatek, the champion came as an injured sportsman.
When I first saw him, I really thought something happened to him. What with the bruises and all. Tsk Tsk Tsk. Well done Tatek! (Now you better stop winning!)
Diah, a swimmer. Erm, maybe a japanese swimmer.
You know... the kawaiiiiii kind. I shall call her ‘Keiyikogila’. I heard of a saying; ‘She who swims in tutus are art thou gila.’ Seriously.
Here comes The Nadyas! They were the Dream team of Singapore.
I am not sure if Mysha & Myreen should be swimming though. From the weight look of it, they can’t. You think? o-O
Daddy was the man addicted to running.
Jiayou, Daddy!
Shafiq was the captain of a football team.
A team that ditched him when they found out he has been practising using The Nadya’s float as the ball. Oooops!
Here are all the nominees
*********
Ok, now that you have seen all of them, it is time for you to vote. Vote for the person who made you laugh, giggle or cry. Erm, and don’t be influenced by my comments. I really don’t mind it if Tatek wins again (I will punch him in the face. KIDDING!)
VOTE, because you have got nothing else better to do anyway. VOTE because it just a click away. VOTE because it’s free. Heh
**************************
Done with voting?
Ok, now feast your eyes on the rest of the pictures taken during the family party.
All the good food....lovingly cooked by Mak, as usual!
I had 2 servings of rice (I am regretting it now btw) because it was soooo good. *burp*
I wouldn’t be who I am today if it weren’t for your love, support and understanding.
For that, I thank you.
I love you, We ALL do!
Hope you enjoyed your birthday celebration(s).
*********
This entry took me 3 hours. The rest will have to wait then. Haiyah.

/My Love For Photography/ Thursday, December 10, 2009
If you are following me on twitter, you would know that today, I went out for a short photography session with my sister in law, Diah and her family.
So happy that I finally have the chance to use my camera that I have neglected for over a month now.
At first, I had high hopes for the photoshoot; I envisioned a whole set up. I wanted ‘lalangs’. I wanted sand. I wanted all that are impossible because I forgot that Diah has 3 babies with her. HAHA
So we chose a simple place for simple shots. We took shots of her family, her and husband and her by herself.
(I shall let her show you the rest of the pictures when ‘everything’s ready’. :))
I know that I can do better than this. I am no expert. So I am thinking of taking up a photography course. But where and when? I will have to do some research on that. I welcome ideas and suggestions too. Please email me at aanurul@gmail.com if you know where I should go to.
Meanwhile, I am so glad I have this beautiful family to take pictures of whenever I need free models.
Hur Hur.

/--/ Wednesday, December 9, 2009
I have run out of ideas on what to write on my blog. It has been such a lazy day and I basically do nothing. Let's see I ...
1. Woke up at 7.45am – Ironed husband’s work clothes, prepared breakfast for him.
2. 8.30 am – Husband left for work, I cleaned the room and checked email.
3. 9.00am – 11.30am – Surfed internet. Blog hopped, Facebook kepo-ing.
4. 11.30-2.30pm – Fell asleep and dreamt that someone rang my doorbell (that was when I woke up)
5. 2.30pm-4.50pm – Surfed internet (go gaga at f21 website!) Put whatever I want to buy in ‘cart’ and it comes up to USD400 over. SIAO.
6. 5.15pm – Showered.
7. 5.35pm – Walked to Whitesands.
8. 5.50pm – 6.30pm – Shopped at NTUC.
9. 7pm – Reached home.
10. 7.30pm – Cooked.
And now it’s only 8pm. Husband will be back in half an hour and I will have my first meal of the day.
So hungry, I feel like eating first. But then again, I love eating with the husband. Soishallpatientlywaitforhim.
The husband’s birthday is coming soon by the way. Tell me what should I get for him? Help me decide please?
Although I might come up with something even better nearing the date. This will at least give me an idea.
*Husband, you better don’t cheat and join in the poll I tell you.

/New Arrivals. New Look./ Tuesday, December 8, 2009
I took EXTRA effort in today's photoshoot for Studiofrost. The make up took 10 mins. Heh.
But my hair took soooooooo long! It refused to stay 'UP'.
I almost gave up. I wanted to just curl my hair and get it over and done with. So I took a break (from doing my hair!) and had a glass of strawberry milk.
And then I tried again (with patience and lots of prayers this time round).
AND IT WORKS!
I know ok. I know I am not that (ehem!) young. But once in a while can I just *pretend* that I am 18?
:p
The start of my Monday was totally boring. I missed my husband the minute he stepped out of the door to go to work.
(It could be due to the fact that he has been treating me like a princess ever since I came back from China).
No complains. :)
So I was trying to find something to do.
I cleaned my room (again) and washed the toilet (again) and did the laundry.
I even went through all my recipe books I took note of some of the food I might want to *try* to cook. But some of the ingredients used are just too complicated and for that I might need the chef's help (Rini, YOU!).
I was done with everything by 1pm.
And then I remembered Eric's dvds. He told me to watch some Japanese films he thought I might like.
And since China, I have been curious about ANY movies/dramas that was shot during winter. I wonder how they are able to act in the cold.
Eric recommended 4 films to me and I chose to watch this
(because the lead actor is so damnbloodycute!)
I AM SOLD! I am now in love with Japanese movies. It is really good. So unpredictable, so sad. I cried at the end of it.
It is a simple love story, but yet so deep.
Anyone watched it yet? It's called 'Sky Of Love'.
Now I can't wait to watch the other 4. Next will be a true story called 'April Bride'. I love ANY kind of movies that is produced from true life stories.
If you have any japanese/korean movies to recommend to me, please email me at aanurul@gmail.com.
Cooked sambal sardine today because husband wants to eat. I am waiting for him to come home so that we can eat together. I am so hungry.

/Di Pinggir Hati/ Sunday, December 6, 2009
I know I have been going on and on and on about this, but I just want to make sure you don't miss watching me freeze my ass off on tv.
Nyeh heh heh.
I finally saw the trailer and actually, you can see from the way I speak that I was shivering.
Now I am so afraid the rest of my scenes will be just as bad. I really hope not. It looked pretty obvious.
:-/
If you are a chinese and don't understand malay, fret not. I will be speaking mandarin more than I speak malay.
(I might sound weird though, but hey give me a chance to learn? :) )
I was 'caught hiding' under the jackets and blankets standing still. They thought I had turned to ice and I could hear them calling out to me and asked if I was ok. I was silent and refused to reply, until they lift up the blanket and I went "BAH!!!!!". They were so shocked it was hilarious!!
Here, Leon tried so hard to get the 'i am so lost, please help me' look from me. There are about 16 shots, all unsuccessful. He gave up and called me a stupid idiot. Sweet isn't he?
So remember to keep your wednesdays free from 16th December onwards to watch 'Di Pinggir Hati' on Suria at 9.30pm.
I know I can count on my readers anytime. :)

/Team Jacob!/ Sunday, December 6, 2009
The highlight of the day was definitely Jacob New Moon. :p
Although many thought that Twilight is better, I disagree. I actually love New Moon better (more like I love Jacob).
Is it something about the character he plays that make us girls go googoogaga over him. Oh, and that uberuber sexy body of his, my goodness I shouldn't even start on that!
Ok, enough about him already. (I shall google for his picture later).
Husband and I went to Night Safari after the movie and oh boy was I dissapointed! :(
There was nothing much to see and I wondered why there were so many people there today other than the fact that it is a weekend.
Oh well, I guess I was lucky I had good company.
My husband the warrior.
My husband the joker.
"Meh akak tolong, meh..."
No there aren't any pictures of animals. We weren't allowed to take pictures using flash (which is really dumb because what can you see?? LOL)
Anyway, 3 weddings to go to tomorrow. Please god, let the weather be good.
I shall make it official then. I support TEAM JACOB! GO! GO! GO!
This was taken AFTER the movie. Heh.
GOODNIGHT!

/My Precious Dresses!/ Saturday, December 5, 2009
Spent almost the whole day doing photoshoot and editing these!
Went through my wardrobe and realized that HALF of what I have, I have never even worn before.
And by now, some are either too big or too small for me.
Most of them are from Forever21, so you can roughly gauge the size.
They are all now up for sale! Only one piece of each is available, so hurry ok?
Going to make a cup of green tea and call it a night. The husband's still at work, but we are going to watch 'New Moon' tomorrow.
Can't wait!

/The Beginning/ Thursday, December 3, 2009
Today, I went to record my voice over for the new drama series, 'The Pinggir Hati' that will be airing in Suria on 16th Dec onwards.
The director Eric was kind enough to let me watch the offline product of our first episode. (Producers/directors usually don't allow us to watch!)
I must say, I loved it!
From the opening right up to the end.
I noticed a huge difference in the way I look in Singapore compared to China.
I think it is because of the weather. My skin looks so much better when in China and even my hair is not as 'stubborn'.
Oh well! Back to reality now.
The reality of flat and b o r i n g hair. :(
Eric took lots of pictures of me when we were in China, and this is one of them that I love.
He has very good photography skills and I learnt a lot from him.
Thanks for the many many pictures Eric!

/Belated 2 In 1/ Thursday, December 3, 2009
Celebrated both Tatek and Mak in law's belated birthday today.
As some of you might have already known, our family has a 'tradition' when it comes to birthdays.
We 'dress' up according to themes. We might look stupid, but trust me if you were there, you would probably die laughing. Heh.
Today's theme was chosen by Daddy and it was 'Grease'.
I had no idea at all what to wear. So i surrendered and did not even TRY to win. LOL
Here I am with my husband with real Grease in his hair. Erm, are those sideburns? As sharp as an axe, I see.
Daddy who decided to be John Travolta at present time.
Shafiq carried it off pretty well. He said he was glad he didn't draw sideburns (it took some time to come off!).
Olivia Newton John lost her way in the jungle and came back looking like this.
I am not being biased, Sharleez looked the best tonight!
Not sure if Ili was trying to be Travolta or Olivia.
Single picture of tatek is missing from my camera! :( But no worries, here is the picture of him and his family.
The COMPULSORY pictures. Family shot and FOOOOOOOOOOD.
Happy birthday Tatek & Mak!
We all love you so much!

/Paranormal Activity/ Wednesday, December 2, 2009
Yes, welcome me back to Singapore people. I am so happy to be back home.
:)
Just a short entry (seriously).
On my last day in Harbin, I had a paranormal experience at 2.19am.
'Something' sat on my feet while I was sleeping. I can actually feel 2 butt cheeks on my feet and I jumped up.
Tried to wake my producer up but she couldn't hear me.
So I got up and went to the living room, so glad to see Leon was still awake, watching soccer.
I told him what happened but all he said was that it was my imagination. I could have sworn I felt it.
I did not sleep after that. Took a shower at 5am and got ready to leave for the airport. I don't understand why it came on our last day there.
Was the 'owner' of the house trying to say goodbye to me?
Maybe. Whatever it was, I was so freaked out and all I thought about was the movie I watched, 'Paranormal Activity'.
Damn I shouldn't have watched that movie.
Ok, so enough about that. The husband is already in dreamland and I can't sleep.
/Sinjiapore, do you miss me?/ Sunday, November 29, 2009
Today was a good day!
The weather wasn't so cold, only -2 and because of that, we managed to take a stroll around Harbin and took tons of pictures.
While the rest shopped for Russian hats and jackets, I was busy with my camera.
At Sofea Church.
Feeding the pigeons reminded me of my honeymoon in Turkey.
There is nothing much to buy here because it is winter season and although the boots and everything else is so bloody cheap, I don't see the point in buying them.
When will I EVER wear them again?
All of us were chatting over dinner earlier and I told them that if I was ever offered to shoot during winter in another country, I will think twice before accepting the offer.
Was surprised to know that everyone else thought so too.
I know the turnout of this series will be beautiful thanks to our cameraman and director of photography who put in so much effort despite the unbearable weather.
They took care of me throughout this entire trip. It's so sweet how they tried to keep me warm by rubbing their hands with mine. How they sacrificed their own jackets just so that I will feel better. How they made sure I was well fed every single day.
They are all Malaysians and I am so lucky to have met them on this job. Now I have 4 great friends I know I can depend on whenever I need them.
I don't know what would have happened to me if it weren't for them, seriously.
So thank you Eric, Jay, Jepon, Musa & Hannah!
I AM COMING HOME TOMORROW.
Nothing else matters now. I want my room, my bed. My husband.
Harbin, Cai Cien.

/I am coming home./ Sunday, November 29, 2009
YEY! I am coming home soon!
:)
Music video shoot was a success! When you watch it, please note that although I looked calm and 'in love', both Leon and I were actually swearing thanks to the extreme coldness and the strong wind.
Because we wanted the video to look good, we did not wear our winter clothes for the shoot. I only had on a turtle neck top and a not-suitable-for-snow jacket.
Shoot took 5 hours (for a 1 min video!!!)
By the time we were done, my fingers were blue.
I am not exaggerating.
But oh well, I am so glad it is over. :)
It is a free day tomorrow and we are going around as tourist. Finally.
Am charging my camera and cleared my memory card for tomorrow.
Wa hen siang wa de laokong. :(

/3 More Days.../ Friday, November 27, 2009
I am counting down the days. Can't wait to go home and sleep on my bed.
Weather was the coldest today ever since we arrived.
I am numb already. Fingers turned blue by the time we are done.
Anyway, we are doing a music video tomorrow. My oh my, I will suffer.
But once tomorrow is over, the whole shoot is OVER.
The crew is planning to bury me in snow once the director say "IT'S A WRAP!"
I will have to be extra nice to them tomorrow. Maybe I will buy them hot soya bean drinks in the morning.
:)
Meanwhile, here's a picture taken by the cameraman today.
Too many nice pictures. All from 4 different cameras.
A total of 1882 pictures to be exact.
Got to go now. Oh, by the way, Selamat Hari Raya Aidiladha to all.
Ming Tien Cien.

/I cry like a baby./ Thursday, November 26, 2009
Blizzard scene was successful. Snow came at the right time.
I shall not disclose the details.
All I can say is that, I cried like a baby.
But of course, those were behind the scenes.
:)
And that is not a stunt double. That IS me.
I was numb. I couldnt feel anything. All I wanted was hot water.
And I got it.
I think I am starting to get used to the weather here. The coldness is not getting to me that much now.
Ah, 4 more days to go?
Wa yao hui jia......

/Wa Ai Ni../ Wednesday, November 25, 2009
Did a 'Wa ai ni, ni ai wa ma?' scene at the park today. Temperature was -16 degree celcius.
So hard to focus on the dialogue, but the turn out was quite good. I did not look like I am freezing (but I really was).
Here's a picture of Mat China (his real name is Leon) and me doing one of our first few scenes together.
Can't believe that I am updating my blog almost everyday now.
I hope I can do this when I am back in Singapore (which is in 5 days time, YABADABADOO!! what do I miss most? You think?)
;)
Blizzrd scene tomorrow because it will be snowing pretty heavily tomorrow. I am bringing along my comforter, blankets and haridryer. I swear.
I hope I'd be writing tomorrow.
CU WA HAO YUN.

/Walking In The Snow/ Tuesday, November 24, 2009
Weather is getting colder and colder everyday. Today, it was snowing quite heavily and we were all quite worried that there might be a snow storm.
But thank god, we survived! We wrap at 4pm because the wind was too strong and the director had difficulty talking because everytime he does, tiny little snow flakes will get into mouth. It was a funny sight.
Our DOP was dancing around in the snow because his toes were frozen. Make up artist singing out loud to bear the cold. I was laughing hysterically all the time.
Had to keep telling myself "it's not cold. it's hot" but dammit it doesn't work!
Today is the longest I survive outdoors. According to the director and the crew, I need to get myself used to it before we do the blizzard scene. I will have to roll down a slope filled wth snow. Die la die la.
I just hope I won't end up with dog poo in my face!
Unfortunately, I didn't get to snap any picture for that scene we did today.
BUT! Here's a picture of the crew and I taking a stroll down the pavement.
This was taken on our 2nd day here. I longer dress up like that now. I ALWAYS have on a minimum of 4 layers of clothing. So imagine how BIG I look.
You will find out soon enough. On 16th Dec that is.
Alright, it's an early day tomorrow. Got to go translate my malay script to mandarin.
WAN-AN.

/I don't smoke!/ Sunday, November 22, 2009
Because I have a free day tomorrow, and because I have nothing else to do on the internet (China block Facebook, Twitter and YouTube!!!), here's a picture of the crew, the director and I trying so hard to show everyone that there is vapour coming out from our mouth everytime we speak!
I had on 5 layers of clothes on me in this picture.
P/S: Cuak and family, enjoy your Perth trip! Tatek, Happy birthday!!!! I would be asleep by midnight, so I am wishing you 2 hours earlier. :)

/Snow is yucks!/ Saturday, November 21, 2009
Just a short entry before I go to bed (yes i sleep early everynight here!).
My first 3 days here was really fun and exciting, what with the snow and the cold weather.
One of the things I was so looking forward to before I came is that I would get to wear winter clothes. But oh well!
After the 3rd day of shoot, and just 2 outdoor scenes, I no longer care about how I look.
All I wanted was singapore weather! I want the sun, I want to sweat!
The cold is unbearable here. It is -11 when we shot our outdoor scenes and I had so many lines! It was so hard to focus and by the time we are done with ONE scene, I couldnt feel my toes any longer.
Everyone had to rush and put 862896894619369 jackets around me to keep me warm before the camera starts rolling again.
The crew and I went shopping for warm clothing on the 4th day because we were all almost frozen in the snow during our shoot.
I guess all the thermal wear that I bought will go to Ili because i am pretty sure i wouldn't need them for a long loooooong time. Or maybe NEVER.
OH! I have to tell this story!
Our D.O.P had runny nose when we were in the snow (all of us had it) and as soon as he wipes his nose on his gloves...the mucus turned to ICE!
YUCKS RIGHT?! So can you imagine what is on the streets here? What the heck was I holding when I had snow on my hands?
Could be some china man's mucus, spit or even urine.
(Didnt I say this would be a short one? Why am I still rambling?)
So anyway, snow is yucks. It's dirty and it's so cold, I cant survive for more than half an hour.
Wish me luck please, I still have got a scene to do where I am lost in the snow blizzard.
HO HO HO.
Thank god for the GREAT GREAT company though. I look forward to go to shoot everyday because of the entire crew. They are so much fun to be around.
Even all the actors and actresses from China. They are too nice.
So nice that on the last of day of shoot for one of the actress, she cried! Wa hao kantong... (polishing up my mandarin!)
I have to speak A LOT of mandarin in this drama and that is so challenging I tell you! A lot of times I ended up scolding vulgarities!
You need and must watch this in December ok? I promise to remind you to watch. :)
Ok, have I been talking too much? I think so. Logging out now.
SNOW IS YUCKSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS.

/I'm In Harbin!/ Monday, November 16, 2009
I am in super super cold Harbin China, shooting a 5 episode drama series that will be airing on Suria on 16th December.
It's my first time seeing and touching snow, so can you imagine how excited i was?
I was jumping and screaming when we landed here. It was all caught on tape (which is really embarassing).
Anyway, just to share one out of hundreds of photos i've taken so far (it's only been 2 days!).
Will be back with more pictures!

/Guess Who?/ Wednesday, October 28, 2009
Yesterday we celebrated Daddy's birthday and as usual, we came up with the most ridiculous theme, just for the fun of it!
It was called "Impersonation' and we had to impersonate someone.
Some of us (ME!) got it all wrong and thought that we need to impersonate
someone in the FAMILY. Hah!
If i'd known we can impersonate ANYONE, I could have done better! CHET.
Before i show you the ridiculous pictures of us, i shall first let you salivate at the awesome spread of food that mak & daddy cooked for us.
(i should have eaten more! Am so regretting it now.)
And because we were all REALLY hungry, the dressing up and phototaking was over in a flash.
Now now, you need to guess who each of us were impersonating ok?
First contestant, the birthday boy..
He said he had no inspiration that night, and because many said he looks like that someone, he decided to go for it.
Next, err... no need for introductions!
Sexaaaay or whaaaat. I especially love the lace tights! (sorry ili!)
The next contestant went ALL OUT!!
LOL LOL I'm sure you won't have any problem guessing who she was impersonating.
Next is her husband of course, Tatek. I hate that he is able to pull off ANYTHING! And he is by far the most competitive contestant.
So secretive! LOL
Shafiq cracked us up!
If you've been following our blog entries, you won't have any problem guessing!
And last but not least!
As i've said earlier, I thought we were supposed to impersonate any one of our family members. :(
Next is Tatek's birthday and he already requested for a particular theme.
I am soooooo going to dress up for that!
Here's more pictures!
...that was when the Diva requested for a single.
Sharleez, our bucket girl. She had that bucket on her head the whole night.
and of course, the family picture.
So there you go. Yet another one of our ridiculous theme party.
Go ahead and start polling, I will give the answers tomorrow night. And sorry, no prize for those who guessed correctly! :p
