Joyous occassions are often marred by one or two minor irritants. I shall not be dampened
nontheless. Dragged myself out of bed earlier than I have done so in a long long while. Disorientated
I was, function I could. Met Yu San in the morning. Had breakfast with her....sort of, she had
breakkie with her dad earlier on. It has been a long time since I had roti canai. Geee...can't
believe I actually miss that stuff. After breakfast, we went off to discuss her honours project. Giving her some pointers and
advice. Wanted to go the lovely study rooms, but it was closed. The entire library was closed.
Complained to Ms Koh about it. Hahaha....... I miss picking out details for the college to
correct...... Oh well, we moved back to the canteen. Discussed on her project's table of
contents. I hope I was of some help. I know I was rather coherent. Called Ian as his wake up call. Sigh..... he was asleep, and very very blur. That's Ian
alright. Phang joined us at 10.10. The four of us played CS. Initially I was playing very very
well. However, my aura seemed to be drained with time. As the maps changed, my aura weakened
while Yu San's grew stronger. Meet later with Mazzie, her sister, Hani, Nina, Julie and Taju at Summit. We had lunch
under the golden arches. Then watched the One, starring Jet Li. Initially I have only heard bad reviews about the One. However, here is my review of the
movie itself. The action sequences, nicely done. True, there were alot of special effects ala
The Matrix, but you have to admit, the coordination of kungfu moves between two supposedly
same people is difficult.....especially one as skilled as Jet Li. The One as a phrase is
CORNY like no one's business. Oh well, can't expect much intelligence in an action movie.
It may not be Jet Li's best role in my books, but it's much better than Tomb Raider anyday.
The ending has a couple of loop holes. For example Gabe being sent to another world (not his
own) how the heck is he going to survive in an unfamiliar world? I doubt if he can get married
again without identification. But the bad guy's ending was rather scary. Yulaw would probably
survive all the people going after him.....but here's an interesting idea, what if he whacks
his way to become the leader, and somehow manage to get people to make the wormhole generator?
Sequel?? Nah......... I don't think it'll happen. However, I think this is the first time I sat next to Hani for a movie.... does she always
fidget a lot when excited? Or is she purposely testing my reactions? Hahahah..... it was wierd
watching her do her 'thing'. I think I would be pummelled very soon :)..... oh yeah, I refused
to let her step on my shoes. After the movie, we (well......almost) played pool. There were four groups, Yu San+Hani,
Phang+Taju, Mazzie+Nina, Mazzie's sister (sorry lar... I didn't catch her name)+Julie. They
played about two rounds then left for the arcade next door. I played Daytona 2 for the first
time. Boy does it handle differently from Daytona 1! And I don't know why, but the AI cars
were so many and soooo ganas!! Phang and I were pummelled left right forward and back by them!
Luckily I managed to maintain the lead even though Phang overtook me once... fast recovery! Next was VCD shopping downstairs...... oh.....NEWS FOR ALL GIFTLAND patrons!! Summit Giftland
is NO MORE. When all's set and done, I set Phang and Yu San home. All in all a good day......except one thing...... My dad says he doesn't want me to start a relationship with any girl! Why?? He says I am
absolutely hopeless in choosing good girls!!!! How can he say that to his own son?? I mean,
I held my ground academically even though I was in a relationship!! I did better than him!!
What la!! He and my mom almost flunked!!! Anyway, I still have my two moderators..... However, I would like to make a statement....... IF I want to have a relationship with
whomever, and she has the same intent as I, then NO ONE can stand between us. Oh yeah....... GET WELL SOON YU SAN!!! You're the only one left to recover!!
Yesterday pitas was down, so I couldn't blog. I bet lots of bloggers were frustrated. Anyway I was too lazy to type it out yesterday either, so now I have to cover for two days worth. But yesterday's history is rather sketchy.... maybe because nothing much happened yesterday. Hmmm.......Thursday..... my younger brother took the car, so I had not many places to go anyway. Well, I did teman my older brother for another round of CS. Played quite well actually, until I quit and played Typing of the Dead. Hahahah......my hands were so frozen I couldn't type properly.....but still got decent scores. Went back to CS but lost touch already.... couldn't play then. Returned home to find my younger brother playing computer games over the course of the entire night! He is supposed to have EXAMS!!! What's wrong with MUFY students?? Don't they need to study?? Oh yes, I got scolded for turning on my MP3..... "Don't you know your brother is studying?" Bah....... look closely and you'll find him snoring. The worst part? He's doing so well for exams!! Sigh.... anyway, today I tackled the bus issue again. As usual, I was forced to wait for every single bus.....even though I gave myself a buffer time the bus resists the opportunity to take me places. Oh well, it wasn't that bad...... I still like my car better :) Opps forgot to mention something in the morning. Cheng called me in the morning, proclaiming that it was snowing in UK. Had a short chat with her in my state of just-awakeness. She also said that Lilian has already left for Spain and she would be going to France in a few months. Sigh.... I wish I had the money to go places.......but I'm unemployed. Next comes the info from my friend that I'm selected for 2nd Interview for the IT trainer job! Whoopeee!! Now to wait for official invite for interview. Met Yu San, Ian and Phang at Shades. Yu San was having lunch alone......awwwwww......sorry lar!! Bus don't like me mar...... so have to arrive late. Well, helped both Yu San and Ian (to a certain extent) on questions related to VB and SQL (Julie needs a nickname, how about Ah Moi dotcom girl?) Hmmmm....... I wonder if I could make a living selling my services to students?? (nah.... I don't do things for money, honest living). How boring.... Played a little CS with them. Although I played better than them, I feel my edge slipping....oh no.... batteries dying again? Or is it Yu San picking off my energies again? hahahah!! The Aura is a funny thing.... need more scientific findings. Good news is, I consistently knifed ppl over the week!! WOOO HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! Ian was nice enough to send us home too! Thank you Ian! Now I better go off and burn Taju's CD before I get slaughtered tommorrow.
I feel much better today. About yesterday, I had a bad day due to the cancellation of my interview when I got there.
But that was fine.... it was really aggrevated by the incredibly hard time for me to log on
to the internet and to open my icq. Sometimes it would say I was connected to the internet
but the data was not being sent or recieved at all. Thus I got really frustrated and anti-social.
Woke up just fine today. Didn't remember too clearly what happened last night. Short-term
memory works wonders. But did a few household chores and checked my other pair of slacks which
I bought. Yup, it's too short too. So I undone the sewing and began resewing it to the proper
lenght. Not finished yet because I left for college to meet Ian and Yu San. Got parking really easily. Called Ian and found him sleeping. Bah... next time must remember
to call him earlier. Anyway, went to SAO and found Yu San, Samantha, James, Ms Koh and David.
Also present for a very short time, Joo Chian and Ms Lee. While Yu San and Samantha went to
class, I stayed and chatted with Ms Koh and James. Later we were joined by Ian. I was supposed to help Ian with his project, but he didn't even do his case study so I
could not do much other than listen to his project assignment and what he needs to do. Oh
well, there's always next time. Anyway, Yu San ended class early and we went to McD's to makan lunch. Met Po Leen and her
classmates there planning out their multimedia MTV (more like movie). Kinda interesting about
what they did. They sent questionnaires to the lecturers of DOCIT. Most gave nice replys.
We have really some sporting lecturers here in INTI!! Played CS after that. Haven't played with Yu San, Ian, Phang and James for so long. Hahah!
I managed to play better than most today!! Yu San and I were fighting for the top position.
But today I had a slight edge. But she didn't play bad at all!!! Everytime I see her I would
probably die. But poor Phang.....kena left right and centre from me :) hahaha!! I'm on a CS
roll after a long vacation!! Then took Yu San over to my house to check her program again. Well, minor syntax mistakes
only. No biggies. So I think her programming is going better than most during the current
stage of the honours students. Good for you Yu San!! The only regret today was........ not being able to watch Friends!! My dad refused to let
me change channels.........*sniff* Oh great........I just got disconnected Sigh........ not again........ I am getting more and more frustrated....... but cannot let
it get to me............... arrrrrrr!!

Well, today's internet connection and ICQ has been most kind. But I guess it's to make up
for yet another disappointment. Sigh.... I just got disconnected......looks like I'll have to retract what I said earlier.
Anyway, I went for my interview appointment in Sri Desa Hartamas. Wasn't hard to find the
right road and number. But the company didn't even have a sign outside it's door. Geee.... *45 minutes later* I AM NOT HAPPY!!! NOT A SINGLE BIT HAPPY! IF ANYTHING ELSE DECIDES TO TICK ME OFF, BEWARE!!! *5 minutes later*You know what?? Today's a VERY BAD day for me....... I'll just go now and concentrate on readjusting my mood for tomorrow.

Anyway, I went for my interview appointment in Sri Desa Hartamas. Wasn't hard to find the
right road and number. But the company didn't even have a sign outside it's door. Geee.... *45 minutes later* You know what? I completely lost the mood to do anything now.... dang ISP can't let me connect, dang ICQ won't let me connect, DANG IE for crashing, DANG ISP for making me think I was connected but unable to send data! I AM VERY VERY UNHAPPY!! DO YOU HEAR ME!!! THE NEXT PERSON/THING TO TICK ME OFF IS SOOOOO GOING TO GET IT!!! I'm sure most of you haven't seen an angry Fabian, but believe me, he's not a kind fella. Time to go to bed and hide from the world to protect it from me
Bah, ICQ giving problems lately..... why me? I asked, then when I finally connected I saw....... LILIAN!!! It has to be her! There's no other explaination for this, even from UK she can still torment me. Well.... another day at home. Not much to do, except this time my brothers are home. My younger brother, Senan is currently having exams, he had his first paper today. Oh well, with smarts like his, who needs to study? True enough, even during exam periods he plays computer games and talks to his girlfriend over the phone for about 30 minutes. Which brings me to the next discussion, I claimed that foundation year was the real honeymoon year. My younger brother however refutes, saying that it's difficult for him because he has to attend classes and do homework. Like hah!! wait till he does projects everyday or something like that. Which also makes me wonder, does he have many college friends? I know his school friends (the close ones were all in my club when I ran it, even my 'daughter' is one of them) but I don't know any college friends of his...... Don't bother asking about my older brother's friends. Oh yeah, I forgot to refute something Yu San said about the comparison between my brothers and I. In terms of socialism, I believe that I still maintain the title within my household. My younger brother DOES NOT go out all the time like once stated. He goes out more often than Terence, but I take the cake. That's why my parents get on my case so much more often. Now where was I? Oh yeah! Today I played CS with my older brother. At the beginning I wasn't playing too bad, with a 1:1 kill ratio, but later as more and more people joined and left the server, my performance got better as I finished warming up and began playing quite well! Surprisingly I kena puji from both sides! Although there were many good players around, I managed to stay first/second on the top of the list. Woo hoo!! I particularly liked the times when I single handedly killed 4 people when I rushed out alone with my AK. Required to shoot heads that time too! Hahahah!! A remark I got was : "You tricked me!! I thought you ran away!" Now to test the theory of CS Aura Effects/Countereffects with Yu San. (We have an unproven theory going on) But what bugged me today was my dad. He was asking me why I chat online (waste money)when I can just email. I claimed that the interactivity of chats is what makes people get closer...... I don't think he comprehends the idea....... what to do? I'm in a family that doesn't really interact with other people.....
ICQ bully meeeeeeeeeeeeee!!! I couldn't log on even though I was online for soooo long!! bwaaaaaa!! This happened today when I was trying to have a file transfer session with Yu San's 5 megabyte file. It wasn't supposed to take so long.... but noooooooo ICQ had to make me lose more money to the internet bill. Oh well, things weren't totally against me today. Lunch was an eye opener for me. My parents were in MegaMall, redeeming their bonuslink card points and called back and asked us (brothers and I) to fix our own lunch. Easy for them to say when there's not water supply. So I decided that the three of us go to Atria and have lunch there. But my older brother, Terence, said that he had a late breakfast and didn't want to eat lunch. HAR!!! More likely he was too lazy to get dressed and going out to eat. Lazy bugger. I wonder if he has lunch at all when he's out at work. Wouldn't be surprised either. He's the person that wouldn't eat unless there's food already ready for him. He doesn't even cook maggi!! So my younger brother and I went out. He wanted to have Dave's Deli. Naturally I paid. But then I tried the Saltin Boca. Surprisingly, it's quite good!!! Cheeeessssyyyy. Senan had the chicken instead. After lunch, we headed for the computer shop to see if there were anymore interesting games. Picked up Codename: Outbreak. It seems to be something like Soldier of Fortune mixed with the movie Puppet Masters. Aliens taking over the bodies of people it catches. Hahahha.... fun.......except for my PC's irritating problem of having choppy graphics after a while. Someone help me in this area of computers!! I'm a software guy!! I reaaaallllyyyy don't know what's wrong with my PC. Kononny high performance. 900 MHz, 32 MB graphics card and still it's like that, not to mention 128 MB RAM. Today, helped Yu San with her program. Found 3 minor errors and one big problem which I took one and a half hours to fix. Geeez, who knew that references would actually play a part in messing up codes?? Bah.... but when I got it fixed, I did my little victory dance I normally do after I fix problems in codes. eheheh.... I'm sure Hani would love to see it. I'm sure Cindy witnessed it before too. Tomorrow, I'm playing CS with my older brother who is taking a whole week's leave. Hopefully I can kill people. It's been so long. Lost touch with CS gaming. (but I foresee it'll be a whole lot longer when I work) |
