Well what do you know? Today I was on a roll!! It's been a long time since I've done that in CS. Played two seperate rounds of CS, both in different places. I feel that my success is attributed to the lack of good snipers that constantly pick me off. Had a roll with my little scout sniper which I used to pick off those pesky camping snipers. Sad thing though.... LILIAN KILLED ME!!! Arrrr!! and she gloats about it all the time!! .....(and I was her first sniper victim). Oh!! Lilian came with us today. I picked her up from her house. To my surprise she woke up on time today! hahah... congrats lilian! Sad news though....she'll be leaving in two weeks. We spent time in college to sit at the Editorial Board booth to entertain our still in college friends. I must say, the college is going through the normal slacking of activities in the August semester... but I have noticed that a couple of clubs have actually been terminated due to the lack of participation from student. Sigh.... EdBoard is also on a precarious position as the current leadership wants to step down in two weeks time.... not good..... I don't think the club would last for long unless it gets a new influx of fresh people. Watched today's episode of Friends on Star World! Funny!! Especially how Chandler and Monica tried so hard to 'do it' and couldn't find a place to do so. Chandler is my favourite character in Friends. He's sooooo hilarious. Lilian is trying to get me to attend next week's INTI Alumni dinner. Apparently she has to sell about 30 seats!! Each seat is priced at RM 33. Gosh.... I don't know.... it's kinda of alot if you add that amount to the petrol and toll fee I would have to pay for. Aiks.... need more thought on it.... She's also trying to get me to sell 10 seats for her. It would be okay if I knew 10 people that would be interested! Sigh.... will discuss with her later I have set a deadline for my final CV!! Wednesday!! Like in college I'll have to get my CV vetted........by my parents :)
I finished Dragon Riders today!! I played it for a total of 19 hours to finish the game! Didn't take too long as I predicted. The story was very interesting too. Best quote of the game : 'Stake him out for thread!' Then I got bored.... no one's at home and there is absolutely nothing to eat in the house. So I popped by Atria and had a lonesome lunch there. Well... while there, went to get my next game. Finally I would be playing Diablo 2! I chose the sorceress so that she would be able to throw loads of magical mayhem around!! Loved doing that in Diablo 1. Headed down to Subang for another CS round with Yu San to commemorate her last moments of "freedom". Word of the day was: "Wow". My sniping was only good with the scout...not the usual big bangerz. Oh well.... Saw Yu San's FF8 card collection today. Man did she really outdo herself this time! She got almost all the cards!! All the important ones but missing one or two teeny tiny monster cards. She was also kind enough to let me see Gilgamesh! Believe it or not, I never saw him!! I only got Odin in Disc 4 so he never got killed. When I got home things got a little bit more tense. My parents continued their bugging to help me find a job. And I almost got into an arguement with my mom over a topic in IT. Sigh.... this ruined both Angel and Buffy which I was watching because I had to listen to my parents lecture.... Oh well..... at least I'm going out tomorrow to avoid the same topic....
Tada!!! Today I did not go to college to lepak at all!! Although Chuen Ian did ask me to go but I decided to stay home instead. Big acheivement for someone who refuses to grow up anymore.Oh well....managed to save a couple of bucks in the process. In order to avoid getting a pummelling from Yu San, I tried to make Chuen Ian arrive on time for his scheduled appointment with the college gang. I gave him a call about 15 mins before the appointed time..... he picked up of course... and said he'll definately be late because he's gonna take a shower!! Oh crap.... looks like I'll get a pummelling very very soon... Well...didn't do much today except perform phase two of "Cleaning Fab's Room" and sit in front of the PC and play more Dragon Riders. That reminds me.... I'm at the place where the game has a bug.... must check the forums to find a way around it. Locked in jail with no way out ....sigh... HIGHLIGHT OF THE DAY. My parents asked me to buy coarse sugar on my way back from picking my older brother up from the LRT. So at the mini-market I asked him to get down and get a packet of coarse sugar. He asked: "What's coarse sugar?" OMG!!! This is my brother you know!! And he went in and took 5 mins to find it!! arrrrrr!!! Anyone volunteer to teach my brother about the things in life besides his accounting numbers? Let's see....what else.... oh Tariq called me to invite me for his farewell thingamajig on Saturday. Would confirm with him later due to the timing of the outing. I wonder who else would be going? Hahah.... guess I'll stop here because nothing much happened. Cindy Boon!! Write an email!!! Sigh....not again. I'm once again on the downstairs computer.... this
time, my older brother is upstairs playing with the computer. Why? Because
I bummed him off the computer so that I could clean the general area.
Alone of course.... as usual, I clean they mess..... I never see those
two brothers of mine do any housework at all. So I'm back down here wishing
that I could have total control of my computer again...but I'm out of college
and my priority status is revoked as well. I'm also waiting for my parents to go upstairs before I go online.
Otherwise, I would receive the usual lecture that Internet is a waste
of time, waste money blah blah blah....I'm banking on my parents' normal
timing where they would be going upstairs to bed anytime soon. This morning had a scheduled breakfast with Samantha and Yu San. In
a very rare occasion, Yu San was close to 30 minutes late due to reasons
not pointing to her. This gives me another reason to quickly get a hand
phone so that I would be able to call people to find out what's happening
instead of waiting and thinking of all manner of possibilities that might
happen and draw the line when to get my arse off the chair and use the
public phone. Unlike yesterday, I only did a very short stint of CS today. We played
in Xgate again. Yu San, I found out why there were so few school kids
around. Apparently UPSR is in progress and thus all primary schools
are on holiday. Even then, I played really well today. I haven't played
this well since before my final exams. The best part is, I could kill
very quickly with the AK47! Also met Cindy at the office. The girl is applying for scholarships for
her postgraduate studies! Good luck Cindy....and you already know how
I feel about a Masters degree in IT. Did the last procedures for my withdrawal from college. So as of today,
I am no longer a student of INTI..... I feel so sad in a way.... YAY!!! My parents just went up, and my dad opened my room door and
told my older brother, "oi go to sleep lor....play, play, play" So should
I go back upstairs? Nah..... my arse is parked here already. Did a whole lot of cleaning today.... kinda worn out.... the worst part
is, I'm not a very efficient person so everything I do takes longer than
normal. Pleh... all that work gave me a slight lower back pain....dang, I
am really out of shape. I wonder what is going to happen tmr? Are there any plans that would
take me away from the house? Or am I going to be stuck here playing computer
games and more chores? Although I do have an ultimatum for tmr's chores,
move all those big heavy books downstairs and clear the area surrounding the
bed (books, my CD box, bag and a whole lot of junk) Time to go online now....yay!! Dang.... pc got problem with IE....going upstairs now :( (5 mins later) MY BROTHER IS STILL ON THE PC!!! At least I got the IE here fixed.....So I'm stuck here
Today, I went to college for the purpose to obtain a withdrawal form and hand in my
graduation petition form. It is kind of wierd that I graduated in August and would only
get my actual certificate in March next year. On the plus side, I get to go to the same
convocation with Yu San, Samantha, Cindy. Besides, I wouldn't miss it for the world (unlike
my older brother who didn't even bother attending his....). Went for lunch with Yu San, Samantha, U Jin and Phang. We went to Tomyam Fried Rice,
which I felt wasn't worth the price they charged. 3.50 for a small plate of rice...gosh...
at least it was someplace we have never actually went to. Had a mini-marathon in a cybercafe today. For more than 5 hours, I played many games.
Kicked Phang's arse in MechWarrior 4, beat him at StarCraft too (hahah... usually lose to him
, luckily changed my tactics after seeing Phang's airforce). Played StarCraft with Yu San, Sam
and one computer as well. After 3 restarts we got the game moving as proper. I took the duty
to keep the computer AI player confined in his own base and not letting it come out. But then
Samantha and Yu San ganged up on me as well!! I couldn't defend myself against such overwhelming
numbers..... but I took a long time to die as my Terrans love to move house :). But still!!
YU SAN AND SAM BULLY ME!!!! Of course, no trip to a cybercafe is without the regular rounds of CS. Played quite well if
my scores were a testament. Could be the long hours in front of the PC though. At least the
people today didn't camp too much. Seems like the plans to my new house is held up again.... apparently the porch is beyond
a certain building limit....so my parents gonna redesign the porch. At this rate, I'll probably
only move in the year 2003. From there, I wonder how long I would take to move out to live
on my own? Okay!! I started playing Dragon Riders! It was developed by a not very well known game developer
based in the UK. Who heard of Ubisoft? Anyway....if you look at the introduction sequence, it
wasn't a spectacular thing... it was kinda dull too. Scrolling pictures and a narrator 'cakap cakap'
only. Graphics wise, very nice!!! Except the way the characters talk and run.... (but I know
how difficult it is to simulate such things and so I forgive them). In my opinion, the gameplay
is very simple. No more missing the jumps for your character (you know, resulting in long long
drops). It's very simple to play the game..... if you know which buttons to press... I had to
experiment with all the keyboard keys. Oh yeah.... completely keyboard controlled. The game
so far has my character running around doing many errands for people to raise my reputation,
knowledge, strenght. The combat system is still very dull as I'm fighting lousy lizards. But the
system seems kinda strange.... there's only sidestep, light and heavy attacks while you draw
the weapon. To move forward/back, have to put the weapon away. But I hope it gets more interesting :)
Storywise, it's getting very interesting :)
Whoops!! Today I woke up late!! And I was designated alarm clock for both Yu San and Ian. hehehe....woke up about 20 minutes after 9.30!! Rushed down to give the two of them calls and also gave Lilian a call because I was afraid that she called me (since according to Ian, she would call me at 9.30 as well). Then received Cheng's call and she asked me to pick her up..... not that it happened cuz Yu San picking me up. I blame it on the nice morning rain which put me back to lala land after my alarm rang. For the first time, I sat in Yu San's car and she drove! It's not a really big thing, but it's a novelty for me. Driven not drive. Hey, take the oppurtunities that come along shouldn't I? If you read Yu San's blog, most of the day's activities are listed there already... In Atria, had a nice chit-chat session with the gang. Some were very funny (like the bang ian session). As usual, Li Lian managed to give me another banging as if from nowhere. She's good.....very very good......until now, I still can't get back at her. But I couldn't stay that long because I had to get back home for church. So I left and walked home (which isn't very far from Atria). After church, I wanted to get some computer game time on....but then my dad pointed out that I have a whole stack of clothes that need ironing. So I spent another 2 hours ironing away. Dang, that was a lot of clothes!! Overall, today was a good day. Entertaining and time flew too.... heheh.... |
