Oh bugger!!

That's what I have to say about my younger brother's effect on my internet activities today. Nooooooo, he has to go online when I usually do..... and he says "ten minutes only" BAH!!! I bet the fella actually played computer until I came home then only went online........ bencinya....... That wasn't the end of it either, he was reading his mail and then the computer crashed twice....it never happens to me!! So I'm suspecting virus.... sheesh...... and now my ICQ can't connect!! I tried for 30 minutes!!! Bwwaaaaaa!! It's not that I don't want to chat with people, it's that I totally can't now! Now I have to go to bed earlier than expected because...... I AM BORED!!! Oh, he only handed over control of the computer an hour and fifteen minutes later.

Sigh...... okay back to recount of the day.

Went to Seremban today with my entire family. Wasn't raining so today had to go. Bought some candles and flowers for my grandfather's grave before we actually left.

My dad......the driver..... sigh....I'm so not used to it anymore. He was once THE DRIVER of the world to me. Now, he drives pretty scary. The car drifts from lane to lane... he cuts pretty fast and he DOESN'T SIGNAL!!! I was so annoyed that I pretty much went to sleep in the car just to avoid blurting out how much his driving is so dangerous.

First stop, the cemetry. Lit candles, cleared some rubbish and prayed a while. We visited my grandfather's and my uncle's grave there. Although, the graveyard seems to have filled up a lot. My older brother had the incredible lack of intelligence to say "this place is more filled up than last time we came" like DUH!!! people pass away! No one lives forever!

Gee...I'm grouchy right now......

Anyway, when I pass on, remind my relatives that I would like to turn my body into dust. What they do with the dust I don't really care.... use me as fertiliser also I don't mind. Prefered method : Frozen and shattered.

Then went to Seremban Centrepoint for lunch. A&W was the best they could offer.....sheesh!! That place is dead!! But before going to A&W my dad and mom went to look at clothes. Hahah...time to get in some more shirts :).......but.....nooooooooooooo..... my dad said I have enough. I spent alot of his money on clothes before I actually began earning... which is true..... damn.

As usual, I hated A&W's burgers and opted for their chicken......nothing special there either......bah!! Next time, I'll just take the waffle....... or two!! Now there's an idea!!

Next stop, grandma's!! Not much to do there, read the pathetic excuse of a newspaper News Staits Times and saw the cats again. My aunt's latest kitten died a couple of weeks ago!! It got bitten by something (I would say snake) because it had a bite wound, fell sick and died a couple days later.

Other than the usual , look!! sooo tall!! statements (don't they get tired of it??) and asking about my job (which I don't have any). My aunt also asked about whether my older brother got stuck in the flood in KL...... so as usual attention shifted to me because I was the only one stuck there.... can't the flood leave me alone??

Anyhow, we left grandma's pretty early because the sky was really dark with clouds. YAY!! Not to say anything, but it's pretty dull there without much to do. The VCD collection there comprises of old chinese movies and of all things, yoga??

Got home close to 4 o'clock. Too late to go to Hani's house because I would have to go to church as the weather was nice. Called Jocelyn, she said that the evening gathering at her place was still on. So I called Cindy whom I said I would take her there until plans became uncertain due to daddy's insistance I cancel everything.

Went to the gathering late because I went to church first. So techinically an hour and a half late. At least I told them first :). Anyway, besides Cindy, Sandra/Daniel, Adam/Jocelyn, Benjy/Girlfriend, Eugene, Yu Wei, and a few others I don't know were around. Had dinner there too. Pizza and chicken. Hahaha..... lots of chit chats too. Was enjoyable. But I couldn't stay as long as most of them. They wanted to watch the One at 1Utama. But I'm watching it the next weekend..... so left there about 10 pm as they prepared for the movie. I drove Yu Wei and Cindy home.

*blush* heheh.... apparently I forgot how to save VB files and send them properly...... ooppsies!! To think I've done this dozens of times already.....Baaadddd fabian.

Another day in the life of..........

I've been stuck at home the entire day, with no contact with the outside world other than my Internet chats. Thus there isn't much to blab on.

But I did figure out how to do database searches using VB! Hahahah!! Didn't take me long either!! I was happy for a while due to that achievement. Although, granted, it isn't designed to look at extreamely large databases that require more defined techniques to search, but it'll do for most student's purposes.

Sigh.....my mom got on my job case again. She expects me to jump at every single job that appears in the papers. Especially those that ask for years of experience. True, they do make exceptions.... but sometimes I believe that experience is asked for a reason. I'm not too IT savvy, thus I don't give much hope to those applications I send to those companies asking for experienced workers. Then there was this walk in interview that expires tomorrow. I called them up to ask if they had anymore positions left in the MIS positions. But the lady said it was all filled. Also, I got their address down because even though the ad in the papers said "menara pandan" I could not find the dang place on the maps nor the indexes and building references. Sheesh......talk about giving lousy directions.

Anyway, my mom nagged me about not calling earlier.... sigh..... it's my parents' strategy to get me out on a job soon.

Today's Heaven Sword Dragon Sabre was very very fast paced. It's really peaking again. Mo Kei dang powerful!! But he always pulls his punches against women. The person Yu San refers to as "yellow girl" was certainly the most powerful exponent at the moment. Show going to end soon.... but sooner or later another good one will appear.

Well, tmr not going for the board game outing, might be going to seremban depending on the weather. Oh well..... I'll tell you how bored I would be tomorrow. Ta ta all

New month of November. Dang........ I was hoping to have a paycheck coming in by this time. Looks like I'm not that lucky huh? You know what that means?? Less money for me to spend!! Somemore Christmas coming soon!! Waaahhhhhhhhh!!! Want to buy handphone somemore!! No money arrrrrrr!!!

But since it would be Christmas (Oh No!!! I hear Lilian singing her SailorMoon Chirstmas song!!! What have you people done to me???? *runs off screaming, returning after high pitched voices disperse from mind*) I think I'll put my own pressie (handphone) on hold first.... I'll get pressies for everyone else first. Handphone can wait a month or so.

This is of course dependent whether I do get a job within the next 3 weeks.....

Oh, additions to yesterday's events. The two girls, Yu San and Hani, were in a very.... how would I put it? Dangerous? ermm....no....precarious would fit better, mood. Yu San was PMSing (dangerous? Depends, but definately having mood swings) Hani on the otherhad nauseaus. So Hani was slighty ......well...... edgy..... on the edge of insanity at times. Thus, I have PMS and Nauseause in the car...... bad combination. Kena teruk from them. Interesting to observe though.......

Hmmm......PMS, as an excuse, can get you places.....Men, don't try it.

Today, I woke up to find my younger brother at home. Really surprised...... the first thing he did was to turn on the computer and play Diablo 2. Sheeesh......this is the current top student of Monash MUFY. As his brother, I see him playing and napping more than his studying. Bencinya, geniouses should sooooo much be shot!! Cindy included!!!

At least I got up in time to watch the rerun. Reminded Yu San to watch it too. Good series that's about the end really soon though. Then spent the rest of the morning and early afternoon trying to fix Yu San's problem with her VB program. Apparently the CD I passed to her did not have the updated DAO version. So I tracked down Phang, who had my other CD. Apparently he passed it to his friends (does this always happen? Next time must keep track who borrowed what) Thus I had to get another CD elsewhere. Got an update CD where it updated her program. Woo hoo! Although I'm no support expert, I would eventually get things done :). Anyway, her mom was kind enough to offer me lunch, but my mom was coming home and I declined. Instead I got an egg tart and two slices of pears. Yu San, thank your mom again for me.

Also, Yu San's dog, Eve, has stopped barking at me (in the house). Hmmm... interesting. either she's used to me, or she wanted the food I held in my hands :)

Nope, the day didn't go as planned. Wanted to talk to a real estate agent to find out more about Real Estate investments. And this is after all the trouble I went through too!! Got a whole list of Real Estate Agencies, called a couple of them, one of them actually promised me someone would be around to talk to me!! Not to mention I did research in MPH Midvalley too!! Sigh..... not everything goes according to my master plan anyway.

But at least what I learnt in such short time wasn't completely wasted. Passed on what I could make out to Yu San. Hopefully the information would ultimately be able to fool those lecturers in INTI. I know a guy who actually managed to crap his way to a B+ because no one knew that what he was doing was correct or not.

Did I mention I was all ready to bluff my way too? I was to make them believe that I was actually an interested investor. All dressed up as well...... hahahah...... I surprise myself sometimes.

OOOOOOOOOO lookie!! Lilian's online!!! Surprise!! hahahha! Things looking better now.

Now where was I?? Oh yeah! Cindy...... I don't think I can make it on Saturday. This includes the Talisman game. Going to Seremban on Saturday/Sunday. Father made me cancel all plans this weekend.

PLEEEAAASSEEEEE grandma!! Don't celebrate your birthday next week!!! She doesn't know her actual birthday, only the Chinese Calender's one. I wanna watch the One!!!

Didn't manage to watch Mo Kei today either, I went to church in conjunction with All Saint's Day. Nevermind!! Tomorrow got rerun!!

Hehehe.... had a new objective in life....... make everybody owe me something, and never let them repay me!! hahahah...... (okay, that was my insanity talking, so I stop here)

30th October 2001
11.35pm

I just went through the MP3 CD that Yu San gave me. The reason was because the CD was beginning to warp at a certain part of the CD. Lousy INTIBALL CD. So I saved as much data as I could from the eventual destruction of the disc. I saved most of the songs... except all those placed on the outer track. Lost all my Moulin Rouge, Westlife, Spice Girls, Xena, one BSB song and Mariah Carey folders.

Congrats TJ!! Good for you!!! You should......BELANJA us!!

Basically today was spent giving Yu San support. She was really down in the dumps over her project. Thus Hani and I were focused on giving hope to the poor girl and basically see what we could to help her. No.... we aren't doing her project for her, merely showing her the path, it's her job to walk down it.

Anyway, went to Hani's house in PJ. Really big house. First time I masuk her house. First we had whatever lunch we had brought to her house and tried to make her Astro work. HAHAHA!! Still couldn't figure it out. Even Hani didn't know what to do! Anyhow, listened in to interesting girl talk and their perspectives. Although we can't segregate people into classes, I admit that each class has very similar views/insights. For example, Women are emotional, Men are supressive.

It seems we were successful (so far anyway) Yu San has recovered and is back on the working track. But the work's not over yet.... still got reinforcing to do. The foundation is laid, but the support must be strenghtened.

Cindy, I think I shall be attending Jocelyn's evening outing. Give you details later because I haven't decided whether to go to churh on Saturday or Sunday.

Hani's kitten very very friendly!! The first thing I did when I got home was to ask my two cats why they are so unaffectionate (except Hao Poh's rubbing sessions). But Hani's cat gave me a lot of scratches. I notice my skin is more sensitive to scratches and bites than most people.

FLOOD!!! Nooooooooooooooooo!!!

Why?? Today I went for my interview in Cheras. Although it was scheduled for 3 pm, I left the house early in anticipation of the rain. Had an umbrella too. But nooooo, it HAD to rain the moment I stepped into the LRT train at Kelana Jaya. So by the time I reached Maluri (STAR LRT) it was pouring cats and dogs. And I had about an hour to spare.

Armed with an umbrella I headed to Jusco which was about 5 minutes away from the station on foot. Wasn't really bad yet. Feet wet, that's it. Lepaked around there until 2.30. Then left to find the place where the company is.

The weather wasn't good to me then. It began pouring and pouring! It doesn't help that the wind was also quite strong, making the rain fall at a 50 degree angle. Even with the umbrella, I was soaked....bottom half.... feet became really really wet. It felt like there was a pool of water in my shoes (which wasn't so, I checked, it's just my socks.)

Thus I entered the company's front door... dripping wet pants down.... DON'T LAUGH!!! You evil evil people! Went to their toilet to make sure my shoes weren't flooded or something.

Things started to look up from then. Met Serene, my college classmate there. She's working there already! Wahhh!!! Apparently the position I applied for has 25 vacancies, 12 taken already. Anyway, they gave me an application form to fill up and a short test to do.

The interview went fine. The guy actually said that I had an impressive CV and flair to go with it!! Woo hoo!! So I can expect a call for a 2nd interview for next week. Oh oh, the position is IT Trainer. Basically, teach people how to use IT tools without having to mark papers and stuff. But the boss not there, can't confirm how much I can expect from this job.

So.... I pack up and leave..... rain seems to have reduced a bit, so I walked back to the station and headed for the interchange point (Masjid Jamek). The first thing I saw was that the water in the river was really really high. Then I got down to the platform and saw.... KL is flooded!!! Oh no!!! I couldn't get to the Putra Station because of the knee deep water in the way. And no way was I going to wade in a throughly unhealthy river of mud with an open wound on my toe!

Then backtracked and got myself onto the other platform across the street to see if there was another way....nope.....still cut off. Had a BRILLIANT idea (sarcasm). I took a train to Sogo and walked up the road to another Putra LRT station (dang wangi).......no luck there either, Dang Wangi road was flooded too.

So I went to the mall and sat down...drowned myself in a large coke, fries, nuggets and an Ice cream while waiting for the flood waters to subside.

Got home at 7.20...... when I could have gotten home by 5!! Sniff!!!

To top it off, when I was about to take a bath.... my dad turned off the water supply!! He said he "forgot" I was actually taking a bath!!! WAAAAAAAAAAA!!!! Kena bully by own father!!

Anyway, now that everything SEEMS alright, I'll be hoping into bed and hoping today will never happen again.

28th October 2001
11.13pm

It rained a lot again!! Luckily I didn't have any outdoor plans (but how often do I actually go out on a sunday anyway?)

But there sure are a lot of frogs out there! Usually I don't hear any from my room, but today those creatures are croaking away..... not to mention the screams of a man and woman from the Rasa Sayang boarding house.... I think they are trying to out "Yam Seng"ing each other.

Here's an interesting thing I found.... my 2nd CDROM doesn't read CDs well. No sound is played when used.... but the first one works.... now...I wonder what's wrong? I works for data CDs..... I'm no hardware wizard, but I suspect it has something to do with the audio cables.

Boy... I woke up late too...eek!! Yu San would be soooo jealous of my sleeping hours today.

But my cat brought home a "present" last night for her brother and her to play with. Somehow, she caught a bat while perching on top of my air cond (outside). Surprisingly, they left it alive throughout the night. Normally after a while, cats would kill their prey. Although we had to pry my cats away from the bat in the morning and let the bat go... But I don't think the bat can fly anymore, its wings were torn.

My younger brother, Senan, apparently wants to take up engineering courses. Another engineer coming right up world!!

Another week, another job try!! This time, IT Trainer!! Monday interview!! GO GO GO!!

It's been a very short day....... so not much to report on.
