Pleh.... what a tiring day.... not that I did much but the whole travelling thing isn't so exciting when cramped into a car and owning long legs which would attribute to 'butt sleep'. I hate long journeys in cramped conditions.... although I can sleep, I constantly bang my head against the car ceiling when the car bounces. Curse being tall and big sized.

My grandmother and my grandaunt have new pets! A nice little kitten (to replace all those cats my aunt is shifting back to her house in Damansara Intan. Oh.... also got themselves these small little fishes that live in a lily pot. They look like guppies but was assured they were not guppies.

On the plus side, I finally met my new cousin-in-law from Singapore. Missed the wedding due to my lousy college projects. Oh well, also celebrated my cousin's 35th birthday in the traditional family style! (on the stone benches in the porch of my grandma's immensely large garden)Apparently she and her husband came down to stock up on 'cheap' Malaysian groceries and mooncakes.

Got home in time to watch Xena. One of the few times I would actually be able to watch an episode but then I got a call from Cheng halfway through the show and thus missed half of the episode..... oh well..... another feather in the cap for today.

The only thing that I've done today would be finishing another book. Oh well, next book coming right up.

Oh, I'm on the old PC again....kena tendang from upstairs again...sigh....it's my computer dang it!

Now that my results have come out, there has been no end to my parents' consistent pestering on jobs!! My dad keeps harping on the Guiness Ad which I utterly refused to apply for due to my stubborness not to have anything to do with liquor companies.

Oh hum, tmr seems to be brighter :) got plans!! hahahah

It's Merdeka Day! Happy Birthday Malaysia!! No matter how much people 'caci' Malaysia I still believe that this is one of the best places to live in. Very decent place and peaceful too :) Proud to be Malaysian!

After yesterday's late night (since I had to download ICQ onto my old PC) I slept quite late. Wanted to wake up early (10 am, yes, that's my definition of early on a day I can sleep until noon). Ended up waking up at 11.00am....and my older brother was already at the computer! Sigh....there goes checking Yu San's CD for another few hours...

After lunch, finally checked the CD, and listened to a few songs on it. Yu San must have some collection at home to pick out songs that might fit my prejudiced music taste :). It'll take me a couple of days to go through all the songs. Thank you Yu San!!

Went out in the afternoon to drink coffee with a high school friend of mine. The best part is she wanted to belanja me!! Hahah...what a nice daughter I have! Talked about old times, caught up with latest news about ourselves and other known acquaintences. I also found the first DJ'an from my batch that graduated before me :)I'm not the first! hahah! She took a professional paper and finished about a month ago. Working too! heheheh.......one step ahead of me.

Tried to finish Black and White today.... but at the verge of winning the game, it crashed!! ARRRR!!! Oh well, about ten minutes to win I guess..... bleh.... of all the luck

Arrr!!! I give up!! Can't concentrate on this blog! Why? Yu San, Nina and Tan in icq chat!! I can't concentrate!! bleh...

Oh yeah, I'm going grandma's place tomorrow. So my parents can show off the latest work force addition to the old folks. Hey, I'm the 2nd youngest of my generation....they'll probably go....wah so fast, wah so big, wah so tall (hey I stopped growing so long ago!)...... fortunately stopped spending the nights in Seremban....those beds were getting way too short for us tall people...but then, my grandma's dog is gone..... she was born on the year I came back from the states....miss the fella.....

The Results are out! I am so amazed that this time the results are released at such an early date. Anyway, I got what I have long expected for my final semester. 1 A, 2 B+ and 1 B-. So all in all, I obtained a second upper grade for my degree! I am now an official graduate of Coventry University. Haha, it's kind of funny that I can predict my grade quite easily (except my 4th semester).

Special congratulations go out to Cindy for obtaining straight As once again! First Class student must belanja!!! Well, she deserves it, since she really studies hard for her exams. But she and I are still laughing at the fact that she actually got recommended for best project award. It's not that her research isn't good, but her contents were actually half past six work that even she doesn't understand. My conclusion: INTI lecturers don't know their stuff.

To Yu San and Samantha. Congrats on passing your fifth semester! Yu San was such a nervous wreck and she did it!! She obtained a second upper average! Go Yu San!! You can do it! Samantha pun boleh :). With a little work the second upper is still within reach. I know a guy that has 3 B+s and the rest B-'s and still got second upper.

Oh yeah.... I'm now on my old computer.... my brothers are so intent on playing computer games that I've been forced to use this computer to go online instead. Oh well.... they'll grow out of games in a few years. So I had to download icq all over again for this comp :(

After getting my results, I spent my celebrations playing CS with Cindy and Yu San. Played well :) hahahah.....but pasadena isn't that challenging. After Yu San left, played a little while longer then played half-life. For a game that I don't play often at all, I stood my ground against the rest and stayed in the middle of the scorelist! hurray!! I'm not the worst! Left at 5 and went to see Cindy. Later sent her to pyramid and sent Phang to Jaya Supermarket.

*sheepish* I accidently forgot to bring my house keys today. So luckily I did not go home earlier because no one was at home at that time!

My parents took us out for dinner to 'celebrate' my results. However, I think it is to compensate for upsetting me by saying : "Not first class?" Well....happens when I have a genius younger brother which outshines me academically. But I accept their apology as they know that I'm not the brightest in the family. We went to a Japanese Restaurant. It was my decision of course. Surprised? Well, I wanted something new... but not to the extent to include seafood in my diet. So I had non seafood stuff. However I had a tummy cramp about half an hour later.... so does that mean Japanese doesn't agree with me? Who knows....but it won't stop me for giving it a second shot to make sure.

I wonder if I can download this icq on time to meet people online... sigh my brother knows I go online at this time everytime but this time "I haven't played today and it's playing day." Brothers.......

Oh Cindy, my mom just told me some horror stories about people publishing research. Especially if it's a graduate. So I hope you aren't going to take up that Shan's suggestion. It won't look good for you or the college once the experts find out.

So it's job hunting time for me as my results mark the end of my 'doing nothing' days.... nice while it lasted though...

Thought: I'm still so young and I'll be working soon!

Note: I'm actually online now but downloading icq (11.00pm)

THE HORROR! My results are scheduled to come out tomorrow!! I am so not looking forward to seeing my results. Not that I failed anything, but I sure performed under expectations and my own standards lately. Oh well.... did the best I could under those circumstances and now hoping for the best.

On a brighter note, I played better in CS today! Yeah yeah, I talk alot about CS but then think of it this way, I'm retiring from CS very very soon. So let me milk it as much as possible okay? Anyway, today's gun was the Carbine. (Although only in close-medium range) Long range wasn't very good for me today. And they keep playing the dust map over and over and over again.......frankly, I'm getting sick of that map.

My my my......... Tan has an interesting hobby..... from his blog he says he 'Spanks' people with his sniper. Well, this confirms Yu San's theory that he is EVIL and also shows that he has some sort of fetish for S&M. James would love to hear that!!

Picked up Dragon Riders today! I'll be playing it quite soon (ETA 2 days). Next on my game list would be Diablo 2 and Arcanum. Planning ahead because I am betting that Dragon Riders is not a very long game (like most adventure games). Apparently this game has a couple of bugs but then it is easy to overcome. So no biggie there.

Cindy!! You will not FFK us for lunch (X3) *hypnotic message* while I'm at it, You will belanja us for your good results too!

Darn, today's entry will be short. Mainly because I'm kinda tired and today wasn't particularly eventful.

Oh yeah, Thank you Yu San for the MP3s!!

If I can describe today in one word, I wouldn't be blogging now would I?

Woke up on time today for once! Unfortunately, I spent the first 15 minutes of today, groggily trying to get up but then plopped back into bed. Mainly because my brother was still in the toilet. This continued even after Yu San called. Yu San, did you know I was still sleepy when I answered? Although I tried to sound as awake as possible. That's the thing about sharing bathrooms with my other two brothers who also leave the house at the same time. Oh well, in the new house, at least I'll have a toilet to myself (I think, but then if I'm not mistaken, the toilet to my supposed room is shared with another bedroom....oh bother!)

When I got into the car (driver's seat of course) my brother (elder one) tells me. "When I opened the door to start the car, I THINK a lizard went in." No mood to entertain a 'search the whole car' routine, I merely said, "If you see a lizard running around, throw it out the window." My brother..... he does sooooo many things to the car...... eg. Crash, break remote in pocket , drops remote, bends keys in pocket, breaks off door handle, and now invites lizards in. So when I reached my usual parking spot (well....not usual spot, but somewhere near it) I tried to find that supposed lizard. No luck then. When I got home, I turned my car inside out trying to find the lizard or its carcase (since the car would have baked the bugger) and I did not find anything. So, I guess the car has passed my safety inspection and is safe for females to ride in once again.

Today, I met Choon for the first time. He came over for a round of CS in Subang Jaya. This was of course after lunch which we duely had at McD's. CS-wise, he claims to be out of practice. Well, it is probably true.... but I have it worse. Tis the season to play badly. Erm..today wasn't that bad I guess. Average playing, but I couldn't find a feel of which gun I was good at today.

Besides Yu San, Choon and I, Chuen Ian, James and Jesse also tagged along. We wondered why Ian took so long to get to McD's since he lives so near to college. Many interesting theories were tabled in an attempt to hypothesize this mystery. Till today, we still do not know the true reason. Jesse was a surprise guest though. Apparently he kena FFK today so he joined us.

Played a little Black and White today again. Originally, I wanted to be a good god. Instead, I started to turn evil. Then I thought "oh heck, let's be bad!." and dutifully started raining destruction on the enemy village. However, I am starting to be a good god once again! Can I not do anything right? But my theory was this: In a previous land, the opposing god kept raining fireballs on my village. At that time I couldn't throw up a strong enough shield to protect the village and proceeded to 'catch' the fireballs and 'throw' them away. But that wasn't 100% effective. So I guess, whenever the fireballs hit the village and I did not put the flames out immediately (cuz, I was still catching fireballs), I became evil. AND NOW: opposing god throws meteors at my village. This time, I'm strong enough to create a shield strong enough to withstand the entire bombardment.....thus becoming good again. This is one confused god if you ask me.

Oh yeah, while cleaning my car, my mom and several neighbours were talking outside with the gate left open. Then the neighbour's dog ran in front of the house. Thus ensued a barking match between my dog and that dog. Then that dog went back to it's house, and called out her two other 'heng dai' friends (housemates actually, 4 dogs in one house). They then proceeded to enter my house compound and thus started the barking snarling match (which my dog is still traumatised) Luckly, my neighbour (the owner of the 3 other dogs) can scold louder than the dogs can bark (believe me I heard her scold her daughter before) and the three dogs went away, leaving my dog cowering in his corner. (btw, my dog is bigger than them).

Tmr I was supposed to have lunch with Cindy. But I guess that's cancelled since she's having lunch with Gopi. It's okay Cin. Just don't tell Chee Hou I'm around.

For a person that doesn't belong in college anymore, many wondered what the heck I was doing in college today. Admittedly, I wouldn't blame them for asking that question. So what was I doing in college? Well, I have a number of reasons, but the main reason is: "I am looking for something to do". It gets kinda boring to spend time alone at home with no real social interaction. In short, I miss my friends and I want to squeeze every ounce of entertainment I can while possible.

Another reason is that I send my younger brother to Sunway everyday this week. And thus I'll be within the area anyway. So I sort of use that excuse to go to college and kepoh. Then there is that bet which I took up against Yu San. I had to find out if her class was full today. I won this bet as there were only 25 people enrolled in her class at around 9 am today. But then I don't get anything because I lost a bet to her on Saturday (concerning the parking charges in 1 Utama on weekends), thus the two bets cancelled each other out because the wager was the same thing.

Also, I decided to get out of the house more often because my sinus is acting up again. The renovations next door almost drove me nuts on Friday. Itchy eyes, runny nose, and all the sinus related problems started occuring as my system finally couldn't take it anymore.

I started reading books again! Fantasy novels are no longer safe from me! I had a book that I have stopped reading ever since my final semester. Now I picked up that book and started reading it from where I left off. I almost forgotten how much I loved to read about dragons! Li Lian.......if you read this......don't even THINK about it. Which reminds me, I better finish up my series of stories for INTIMAG, which I put on hold due to projects last semester.... now what I need now is a source of inspiration....... that's a hard thing to find as eventually writers block would stem the flow of the story.

I had the most strange phone call from Li Lian this evening....
Fabian: Hello?
Lil: Ahhhh!! Sook Chen!
Fab: What??

Apparently she called to ask me what was Doreen's chinese name (a ex-classmate of mine) and somehow my VOICE jogged her memory. So the question is this.... what does my voice have to do with Sook Chen's name? I don't sound like her, we aren't really close either.... If Nina had anything to say about that, she'll say : "Oh, it's a Fabian". Yu San, stop laughing NOW.

My mom asked me if I wanted to go on a vacation. This occured after I told her about Lois's trip to Italy. Naturally I said: "To where?". My mom then said : "Why don't you and your brother go somewhere?". From then onwards, my mind was changed. No, I do not want to go on a vacation with my older stiff brother who would only eat if he doesn't have to prepare it (the trick here is to say it really quickly). Besides, my older brother isn't very fun to hang out with (socially). Although I love him and all, but I'm trying to veer away from his lifestyle....

Ms. Sunitha asked me if I would consider a job in INTI doing their newletters. However, I don't feel that I am capable to produce that type of work very well. Firstly, I lack creative thinking and thus have trouble picking out colours. Then there is the fact that although I have done editing/layout and everything there is to know about Editorial Board's INTIMALINK , INTIMAG and INTINEWS, I was a person that got the job done.... granted. But I do not think that my work was what was sought for in terms of content and layout. I bet there are lots of comments for me from INTIans. Oh well, I did say: "I will not work in INTI!"

Cindy, are you working next week? I know you read these blogs at work. Oh why? Because Cheng is stopping work next week and wants to go out. Although I have no qualms to go out with her, but I prefer not to go out alone. Li Lian? How about you? Geez.... I must sound a bit scared huh? But then the rest of us are either studying or working.

A lot of people have been asking me whether I have gotten a job yet. Oh wow.... it's only been 2 weeks since my final exams! My results haven't even come out! My parents thought I have been on vacation for a month already!! GIMME A BREAK!!! My SPM break was ruined with two weeks worth of sick time and one week of college hunting before going to INTI. Some holiday that turned out to be.

Hahah...... but then now I'm bumming so I guess it's okay :). Besides the constant nagging from parents to look for jobs/ do something productive in the house eg. Paint the walls (what??).

26th August 2001
11.30pm

Okay, here is two days worth of blogs! Well, it isn't that much since I don't do much on Sundays :)

On Saturday, Yu San, Nina, Haz, Samantha and I went to watch Moulin Rouge at Pyramid. Admittedly, that was the first time I watched it although most of them have been crazy over the show (and Ewan) for quite a few months back. The movie is quite well done. Overall, it is a decent movie and one of the best musicals I've seen so far. The way they blend all the different songs and music is astonishing. Thumbs up for that! Nicole sings her parts quite well, although I think she can only do the high pitch parts (that's all she does anyway) Ewan has a strong voice! Makes me kinda jealous (cuz I can't sing). The only problem I have with the film is the parts where they show stuff being thrown out of Moulin Rouge and hitting the Eiffel Tower. No I did not find that amusing.

However, in the cinema I found several annoying things...First, there is the people that make noises in the hall. Then there is the handphones ringing. The fella next to me had a handphone that constantly kept blinking this blue light every now and then!! Oh hum......but I did find the fact that when to movie ended, almost everyone around me took out their handphones and started chatting! Wonder what I would be doing when I get a handphone (if ever).

Well, as expected, the evening thing was late as usual. Naturally, I got there first....of course with the passengers Yu San and Sam. To appease Yu San's impending irritation, we decided to get her high on Coke right away! Although I offered to buy her a whole 1.5 litre bottle, she thought that it'll be too ungainly and unwieldy to drink straight from. Well...the entire gang arrived by 7 and we proceeded to the food court and some of us had our dinners there.

Well, the rest of the evening was spent on CS (as usual)and I admit, I played reaaaaallllyyyy bad that night (maybe because my vision blurred, couldn't tell friend from foe). I blame the monitors but then again, it could be a sign of my impending aging process.

Looky, Nina has picked up a Fabian bashing session on Saturday. Dang..... But then I couldn't actually hit her with a weapon that day. It was a sacred day where I was not allowed to hit any ladies...... damn the UN for such unconstitutional days!!

The drive home was fortunately not as bad as I thought it would be. I drove Yu San to Ash's place and sent Cheng and her sis home. Fortunately no sparks flew and conversation with Cheng was relatively safe (for me anyway). Life goes on easier now ....

Dang it! My toes are rather too large for my shoes.... it's kinda uncomfortable in the front of my shoes. And my healing toe doesn't make it easier as I aggrevate my injury every time I wear it. Oh well....bought the shoes (although very impatient at that time) I'll break it in soon enough.

Sunday was rather uneventful except that my cat kept running out of the house and I had to chase it back in. The worse part is, my dog doesn't bark at him to scold him anymore. Instead my dog wags his tail and looks silly at my fat cat. (My cats aren't allowed to go out the front door as all the neighbourhood dogs are in front). Oh yeah, then there is the chores thing.....I was wondering, why is it that I'm the one that's doing most of the chores? How about my other two able-bodied brothers? Grrrr....... maybe it's because I don't ask questions and do it anyway.

Oh hum... tmr's another day!! And this time I'll be in college as a non-student!!
