Boy was I really in the dumps yesterday. Nothing seemed to go right.
First, my car gets taken by my brother for college work (can't argue with
that). Got angry because he never tells me beforehand. So I had to ask
Yu San to pick Lilian up. But whaddya know....she left her phone on Silent
mode making it extreamely difficult to call her. Then tried to call Lilian
to inform her, somehow her phone was busy and I didn't know where I kept
her handphone number either.... my handphone's dead. And CS didn't go well.... I couldn't concentrate.... kept killing teammates
too.... was very very unhappy. Couldn't join the rest for dinner..... another reason to be unhappy. So the whole day was one depressingly sulking day. Today felt better. With the fact I'm out of Standard Chartered, I'm rather
calmer now. Sakura Wars search has also made me happier. The only thing
to go wrong was public transportation. I had to walk home today. No bus was
ever going to pick me up before it rained and taxi's were just not coming
my way. Grr.... walk walk lar!! Lucky thing it rained at the last 50 meters
or so only. My current handphone (mom lent me) can't sms!!! Me going to buy a handphone
soon I guess.
I'm soooo tired.... mentally tired..... all that stress was so unwarranted
and I'm not used to it anymore.... Wanted to try to find someone who had a CD writer and could read my Internet
Project on my CD. Went to Ian's house, went to SAO and even went up to
Yeap's office. No luck. I was destined to go to the interview without
being able to show it. Big blow to my chances I guess. Was interviewed by the 3 directors of the company (3?? Did they have so
many?) Showed them my Multimedia project, gave comments on the Carlsberg
website. Asked questions, answered questions..... took one and a half hours.
Time flies during an "interrogation". So did I get the job? Ermm..... not yet. Apparently they have another
candidate to grill. Darn.... competition.... just what I needed. But I should
be informed rather quickly. They said next week they'll call me. Oops.. forgot
to tell them my handphone kaput. Anyway.... even if I don't get the job,
they are thinking of giving me projects to do on a part-time basis. Well,
sort of mean's I'll be working at home like a freelancer. Problem.... I don't
know how to charge!!! Incoming project... a simple promotion game for SunSweet.
If I need help any volunteers? I'll pay :) Anyway.... I'm stopping work at Standard Chartered. Friday will be my
last day. Going back to the realm of unemployment. Why? Well, if I get the
job then everything goes well. If I get the part-time job instead then
I'll still be busy. But if I don't get any of the above, I'm going back
to studying. Will spend the month thinking about courses and looking at
uni's to go to. Will also have that month to go all out to see if there's
still a job out there that wants me. The deadline I set for myself is
approaching fast. Darn.... depression is creeping back. Maybe tomorrow's outing will cheer me up. Note: Handphone still dead..... did dad actually do anything? He took
the phone from me today. Couldn't send it to the shop myself.
I'm having a lousy day!!! Someone run me over with a bus!! Quick!! Before
anything else happens!! My handphone died on me!! It just turned off and wouldn't turn on again.
I swear I've been taking such good care of it. Now now..... I can't SMS
anyone from work!!!! I won't be reachable anymore too!! Next crappy thing, the technician came to the house and discovered that
the fan was fine. It's still the motherboard! The powerpoint of the motherboard
is spoilt so that caused my processor to burn (Athlons burn very quickly)
So yet again I have to wait for them.. I AM SOOOO NOT HAPPY!! More crappy things to come.... I was sure I had a backup for it in one of my CDRW's.... but I can't
find that one!!!! Where the heck is it???? PLUS!!! I think I managed to get Yu San into more trouble...... oh boy,
can't anything work right today???
Haven't been blogging for a while. Mostly it's because my upstairs computer
is still out of order. On Saturday, well... I went to bed early. Nice and
long regenerative sleep. Sunday, was out and came back at 11. Decided that
I needed to hit the sack to wake up early tomorrow. Well then, where do I start?? On Friday, went to Lil's and Yu San's
language center area to... well... play CS. Started out quite poorly, but as
time passed (and me getting all angry at the players there) I recovered
and took down those mangy terrorists who seem to have a knack for judging
where I was all the time (the all had a third eye). And that kid next to me!!
Not only was he looking at my screen all the time, but he was also looking
at Lilian's screen who was next to me!! He also had one heck of a foul
mouth. The lack of manners is appalling!! Kids nowadays... seriously it's making
me doubt the "wonders" of having children. Oh well.... that brat got bullets through the wall from me for his ghosting
habits. Oh yes... Chuen Ian likes Iris among the girls in Sakura Wars. He finds
her cute. He did mention that he likes it when Sumire and Kanna fight. On Saturday, went out in the morning and afternoon with Chuen Ian,
Phang and Samantha. Met up in INTI first. There was a large banner on
display there. It was Ms. Koh's birthday that day. The banner was kinda sweet
too. Hahah.... Benjy joined us for lunch. Played Starcraft.... Gundam Version. It started as a free for all, but then
we realised that if any of us made a move, that would signal another player to
attack. So we ended up allying, Samantha and I vs Phang and Ian. Which
was balanced off. Ian's carrier fleet was even managed to fly over Samantha's
base to me... again I say "SAMANTHA!!?!??? How you let a big fleet get over you??
While my supply base was being destroyed and my Gundams dying, I tried
to use my Science Vessels.... with an ability called energy cannons.
Wow!! Those cannons rock!! With only 3 vessels I destroyed his entire
carrier fleet! Wooo hoo!! Even Phang's Zergs faced the Science Vessel
wrath and his army of flyers died very very quickly. Hahaha... I love the
Gundam Version :). However, I still lost the game because (I consider it
unfair though) Ian converted one of Phang's drones and effectively made his
army have 2 times the normal size. In other words, it was like having 3 vs 2.
Samantha got overwhelmed....even with my superships blowing holes in the
horde. But I didn't have enough ships nor enough energy to sustain a long
war of attrition. Sigh..... I demand a rematch!!!! Up for it Ian?? hahahaha!! Need some practice though... hehehe. Oh.... Cindy called me up at 11pm to tell me about her now working
DVD-Rom..... she was practically squealling. Hahaha.... I'd thought the
boyfriend would get it.... not the brother/pet gunea pig. Sunday had dinner with Yu San, Tan and Lilian. Then as usual went to
play CS. But then had a hard time getting out of the parking area. Some darn car deserved
a scratching that night.... but not on my car's account!!! Hehehe.... played well that night too. But then it took me a while to
get into the game. Wednesday is the day I find out whether I get the job or not!! Wish me
luck people!! Oh yeah...have a nice trip TJ.
Technician came. Installed new motherboard and new RAM. Yay!! It worked!!
Sent him off, took my pc upstairs and booted it up again. Hmmm.... why
was my display cacated? Rebooted.... now it's fuzzy.... what went wrong?
*open casing and inspect* Oh no.... now the fan's spoilt making my AMD
Athlon overheat. Darn. Call Gateway again. Long chit chat. Fan + processor
will be arriving sometime next week.... sniff!! But good news is, I'm kinda confident on being hired for a new job next
month! Hurray for me!! I broke my toenail!! The one I was trying to grow out. So now it's taken
a step back in the healing process. I-TA!!! (ouch) Oh no!!! Sakura Wars is ending tomorrow morning!! I have no access to
Sakura Wars after that!! I want my DVDs back!!! I want my pc to worrrrrkkkkk
!! So much to get, so little money to spend. That's what I'm thinking at the
moment. While Cindy got her DVD-ROM, I was busy considering whether to get
a VCD/CD/MP3 player for RM300. Soooo tempting!! Made from Sony parts and
on promotion. In the end didn't get it. Why? My target is a PS2 which I can already
afford.... but I've decided to put aside some savings in the mean time.
Will buy that expensive gizmo in August (or July :)) And for ONCE I'll be able to play an FF game before Cindy attempts to
spoil it for me
I think it's going to be yet another short entry. Work will be very slow tomorrow. I cleared out the backlog from the
weekend already (damn). Sigh.... going to be bored stiff waiting for
little scraps of work to come in at a time. The new anime, Steam Detectives, well, reminds me of the other anime
called Power Stone. The animation is sort of the same.... kinda ugly if
you ask me. And the most outstanding thing I see when I see that anime,
my, those EARS are HUGE!! Not to mention ugly too. Ewwww... I think I'll
not watch that anime. Now keeping track of Vandread. The FY OVA is coming soon! Must watch that
one! Didn't I say this is going to be one short entry? hahah
Darn.... my computer died. The one in my room that is. I suspect the
motherboard has failed. I already called Gateway, they said they'll send
a technician with the parts earliest next week.... until then.... waaah!
I don't have my PC to play around with!! *sob sob* What's worse, my MP3s are in there!! Now I blog without sound.... And Nina, I don't CARE about the Sakura Wars on TV3. The ones in my DVDs
are sooooo much nicer.... my..... preeeeciooouuusssss hahahah!! But then....
I can't watch them yet.... pathetic aren't I? Poor Cindy.... hope you get your DVD ROM working.... damn!! I wish I had
one..... then again I'm wishing for more money too hahah. Congrats Maz!!! Join the uncle/aunt club! I'm uncle to 5 on my father's side
and not sure how many on my mom's. This is what happens when I am one of the last
of my generation. Oww... papercut from work bugging me..... hahaha.... did Chee How ever
find out what a papercut is Cindy? That fella was so incredibly duh!
"How do you get a papercut, come let me cut you with paper." Truly if
he did that to anyone he'll deserve a pounding. Geee.... I noticed I didn't blog about my weekend.... well I'm just
not bothered to I guess.... my computer spoilt my mood. Not to mention
my brother using the computer at night to do his project. Funny, he was
playing Dungeon Siege when I got home last night. TJ, when are you coming back? I still need to belanja you ice cream. And
if I don't do it soon I'll forget all about it. |
