11.48pm

Okay, here's a quickie..... it's 40 past 11 and I just came home from Seremban.

Went there for lunch and dinner, but I wanted to get Shaolin Soccer for entertainment purposes while in grandma's place. Didn't get it because the stores were all closed......damn.

Had lunch, and my grandma is 94 not 93 as mentioned earlier. Didn't eat until I was stuffed in preparations for tonight's dinner. After lunch we watched Harry Potter on VCD. Tell you about what I feel about it tomorrow.

Dinner, was SEAFOOD galour, there was too many dishes of seafood that I practically missed half the dinner anyway..... but then nooooo, the noodles came at the end of the dinner and guess who they stuffed?? I had sooooo many bowls of noodles I feel like throwing up noodles right now.

Then had to leave about 9.30 because my older brother tiba tiba pandai take earlier flight. So we went to KLIA to fetch him. Tell him to wait at Departure Hall the fella very PANDAI wait at the Arrival Hall..... sheesh......his excuse? I thought there was only one...... hello?? There are signs above your head that says ARRIVAL HALL. Grrr....spent 30 minutes looking for him and jogged around with full stomach.........now not feel too good.

Anyhow, I am going to see if I can sleep off my discomfort.......good night all....... I hope to live a while longer.

*POP!!*

11.15pm

Didn't oversleep today... seems to happen on regular days. Somehow I know that it'll be a Sunday or a public holiday. Woo hoo??

Not much happened today, spent it entirly within the confines of the house and a bit outside. Except for the evening..... my dad, very smart...... ask me to help him unclog the drain outside our house.......WHILE it was still raining!! If I get sick I know who to blame.... Anyway, the work involved pushing broken slabs of concrete out of the drain and then hauling it out and throwing them away. BOY do they STINK!!!

Oh yes, I got another interview appointment. By SirCom Technologies. This application was for the post of Technical Support Professional. The best part is, they took almost an entire month to reply!!! Bugger!!! Oh well....pergi cuba cuba again. Won't kill me.......yet.

Lastly, can someone prepare my insurance company to prepare my arrival at the hospital for "overeating". Tomorrow my family is celebrating my grandmother's birthday. Her 93rd birthday. And the feeding scenario will start again!!! Noooooooooo..... my older brother is missing from the table!! Too much food for me....... going to burst..... *POP!!!*

If I survive, I'll be online tomorrow to tell you how stuffed a person can be.

11.37pm

Holy Cow!! That was the first thing I realised when I finally got out of bed today. I knew my sleep was troubled but I didn't figure that it would really upset my sleeping time that badly! I woke up at 2 pm today..... dang!! A whole morning wasted and not being spared a nagging session from parents.

I'm not really sure, but I have the vague feeling that I had many many different dreams while I was sleeping (not that I remember them now) but that happens and I didn't set any alarm clocks nor had the sense of urgency to wake up for a particular time..... sheeesh....even while asleep I know there's nothing to look forward to.

Anyhow, spent the whole day at home. With parents around and my younger brother around, there's not much we do anyhow. I picked up a book entitled the Guardian. A single fantasy novel. So far it's quite interesting. But I'm still reading it. Unlike most readers, I don't speed read and thus can never cover an entire novel in a single day.

However, today I will give my review on two more computer games. Star Wars: Galactic Battlegrounds and Civilization 3.

First we go with Star Wars Galactic Battlegrounds. This game is a Real Time Strategy game like Age of Empires. It actually uses the AOE engine right down to the last detail. Although you know lar, the graphics and weapons different. But it handles the same, got food, got two minerals, got housing, got wood........

But the interesting part is, you get to play the Rebels, the Empire, Wookies, Naboo, Gungans and Trade Federation. The campaign is very short, consists of about 7 missions each race. Not much development there. And the voice actors don't sound very authentic.....Qui Gon sounded really wierd. But it was fun smashing Ewoks with large AT ATs.

Overall, it's destined not to be a popular game. And for a lucas arts game, the graphics was very very backwards.
Rating: 5.5

Now to Civilization 3. It's the third installment of the classic game with the same name. Even now, you don't need a great computer to play the game. Civilization is a turn based strategy game that pits the player as the immortal head of a civilization from the time humans emerge from the caves.

You get to pick a particular civilization like the Chinese, English, Americans and even the Babylonians. So you have to guide your people through the ages, research technologies, fight wars and stuff.

Anyway, I find the interface a bit badly designed... who uses O and X for confirm and cancel? It's nothing much of a change from the other two installments, but I must say, it is now VERY hard to win the game at the 2nd easiest level even!! The resources are very important, and if you don't control it by the time the other civilizations (who breed like rabbits) control it, consider yourself at a very big disadvantage.

If you want to learn world history, this game is actually quite a place to learn it. You can get information about the Forbiden Palace and the like.

Oh yes..... I FOUND MY CAR REMOTE!!!! UNDER MY CAR MAT!!!

Announcement: The Agung (King) of Malaysia has passed away today. Thus Thursday is declared a public holiday.

Now for the bad news. The mourning period is 7 days. That means the usual half masted flags, the Quran verses and solemn music played over the TV and radio, the entertainment industry shutting down for the week..... at least ASTRO is still being aired!! YAY!!!

But on my POV. IF I were someone important, I wouldn't mind the holiday if I died....but a week of mourning? Please.... get on with your lives. Celebrate my death as you would celebrate my life.

Anyhow, today was a rather....well....CS filled day. Went to college to celebrate Yu San's completion of her honours project. Had breakfast with her at the mamak square before heading off to play the first round of CS. My my, I still play quite well after a long break. Yu San also played well in the end. My beginning is better than the end of the session as usual.

Dang.......got disconnected from the internet......

Anyhow, had lunch with Phang and James joining us. And off we went to comics corner, but it was closed. Then went to play snooker for an hour. I still haven't found out why I could play pool/snooker better when I first started. Imagine this!! I stubbed my finder with the cue stick!!

Grrrr....... I want to take over malaysian telecommunications and turn it around from ground up!!! They seriously need to adjust everything!! How the heck is malaysia supposed to compete with the world if the continously give lousy service to their customers?

Anyhow, after the snooker round, Ian joined us for round 2 of CS. I wasn't playing too bad.......but I had to declare this: "Today was a no-pin-point shooting day" Can't snipe, can't make accurate long range shots. But then....... I KNIFED PHANG!!!!! BWAHAHAHAHAHHAHAH!!!!

Heheh.... I knifed two people today.....the best part is, they knew I was going after them!! hahahah

First of all, I would like to apologise for my little break in blogging. I have been a bit too busy at night these past few days and couldn't bring myself to concentrate on many tasks at once. I'm not meant for multitasking.

Next, to the more recent event, congratulations Yu San! Now I can sleep better.

Okay, let's see.....where should I start? Okay, Terence, my older brother is currently on assignment in Sandakan, Sabah. He'll be away for an entire week (sunday to sunday). So on Saturday, my parents shifted their entire attention to his preparations.
Dad: Did you pack a toothbrush?
T: I don't have a toothbrush (we use the electrical one).
That's my brother for you. The person who has not spent a night out of the house since his 5th Grade trip to "The Big Island, Hawaii". Sigh..... I wonder if he still suffers from motion sickness?

Okay...... sort of spent the weekend troubleshooting for Yu San...... yeah it goes like this.....
YS: Fabian!! Help!!!
me: *look at trouble, take out my trusty machinegun and shots the trouble* Okay, it's dead.
Heheh... actually did all sorts of troubleshooting, maybe I should start a business, Fabian, Troubleshooter for hire. I wonder how much I can earn from all of that?

Got my car serviced today.....but the mechanics lost my remote!! It broke off!!! I CAN'T use my "toot-toot" anymore!!! BWAAAAAAAAAAA!!!! I demand a refund!! Except, my dad's paying...... anyway, if my car gets stolen, I know who to hang over the cliff and give em the appropriate treatment.

Why is there no one online today?? Geeee..... just when I'm in a mood.

Also went for two interviews today. One at Kasturi Technologies, Malaysia's number one provider of video conferencing, and Arthur Anderson. The first was at 10 and the latter at 4. The first interviewer tells me he'll contact me as soon as he refers my application to the other companies (apparently they work together). I didn't fit into that job because the wanted a UNIX expert. Inti doesn't provide that. However, due to my work in Editorial Board, he indicated that his wife who is working in the other company is looking for an IT writer, more on Public Relations work. Oh well.....give it a shot. Small companies pay big anyway.

Arthur Anderson however...... that was a doozy! I spent more than an hour being interviewed!! No, she didn't ask me technical questions because she isn't IT trained. But she asked a lot of question to judge my personality and stuff. Blerg..... I crapped a lot I guess, relating real life experiences can really bring up some interesting memories. Anyway, she said she'll call in a week or two to tell me the result..... Nope..... no expensive christmas presents from me this year people... No job, no income, but have some money.

Sigh......still no one online...... I can't believe how incredibly boring the internet is without the wit and homour of the many people who bring colour into my life.

Oh yes, Tariq....sorry to hear about that. But question: Why am I considered the "Dreaded" and the equivelent to a "Death Star"? All the YCCians other than myself just need to bully me into submission.

Anyhow, I think I'll go off now and do something nice for myself.......SLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEPPPP!!!

Cindy Boon!!! Ms. Julie likes you A LOT!!! Your name is frequently used in her examples and assignments now you know. Hahahahah!!! The best part is that we all can't stand that Julie Ch'ng Joo Lee (what a dumb name).
