02:58 p.m. This is a rant all about my school timetable, etc. ^_^ Please come back tomorrow if you wish to read a more interesting post. Gomen ^^x

Waah! What a crazy day! I've been at school since 7:30, and finally, yes, finally, I'm all organized with a proper timetable. ^_^ Unfortunately, I had to make a few major adjustments with my courses... initially, my guidance counsellor placed me in an economics class two years above my level! o_o (There is still grade 13 [OAC] in Ontario here, but it has been eliminated in the new school curriculum, which I'm currently in.) At first I was okay with it, I really wanted to take economics, but year 11 economics kept conflicting with my timetable. And for a while there, I left my timetable with the old OAC economics course. -_-; The minute I came out of student services, however, my friend asked to see my timetable, and then proceeded in telling me how crazy I was to take such a difficult course, and to change it immediately! I value his opinion very much, and the more I thought about it, the more I wanted to drop that course all together... which is what I did! (Whoo! ^^) I'll be taking that course next year instead. And what did I replace economics with...? Accounting! I hope I won't have too much trouble with that. After all those run-in sentences, I'll list my schedule (for those who are curious!):

Semester 1
Functions & Relations (Math)
World History to the 16th Century
Chemistry
LUNCH ^_^
English

Semester 2
Biology
French
LUNCH ^_^
German
Financial Accounting

I only wish I had French & German 1st semester. I wasted my time reviewing my notes, I'll forgot all I learned by next term anyhow! @_@ Finally, the best thing today was that I got a double-size locker by accident, even though I only paid for a single one! This little tidbit stays in this blog alone, ne? XD

Enough already about timetables... I haven't eaten a thing yet today. I'll upload the new layout tomorrow, too...!
*end rant about school timetables*

11:50 p.m. I had a wonderful time at the BBQ, in sort of a bittersweet way, because that's the last time before school starts and we all become stressed out & there is never a moment of relaxation. ^^x My friend's house is very nice & big, so we had a lot to do. I can't believe how much I love playing badminton! I should be learning more about that sport, rather than tennis... I think that has to do with the slight fear of having a tennis ball coming at me when the opponent serves it. ^^; Besides that, yummy BBQ, talking with school friends, and playing pool & video games allowed me to have a nice time...

EXCEPT... as soon as I got home, my mother told me that the school had called explaining that that my timetable has insolvable conflicts and can only be fixed if I change my courses. Trouble is, I don't want to change any courses!! ;_; The only things I can think of doing is change the enhanced-advanced math course I took to just advanced math. As math isn't my strongest point, I might as well anyhow (though I was admitted into the school specifically for the enhanced program! Deceiving the purpose a little, ne?). Hopefully it will fix things. Otherwise, I'm just going to take out a $20 bill and hope that I can bribe my counsellor into fitting me into all the classes I wished to take in the first place. -_-; I'm not looking forward to school at all anymore now!! *stomps feet*

11:06 p.m. *falls over* Very busy day and must sleep... but I shall post a little too. I did go shopping, and bought several things, (thanks, Grandma ^_^) including a very nice watch, more books, a skirt, and a set of interesting little bracelets. I'm most happy about the watch... ever since my old one broke, I've been wandering around in a daze and I was no longer my punctual little self. Therefore, thank goodness Isabela has a watch now!

I came back home... realizing that several people had called me. Apparently my friend is having a BBQ on Wednesday and I'm to bring the hot dog buns. I do wish she told me a little more in advance!! But I'll go and save the day on Wednesday by bringing a package of hot dog buns. ^^ Aha, thanks to Crushlink, which tops my most-hated websites list, my inbox is overflowing with about 4 supposed 'You have a crush!!!" e-mails. Arghh... I give up! Someone is trying to make me go completely insane. I know it. *glances around furtively*

Wai! Yukino, do consider going to the University of Toronto. I could possibly end up there, and wouldn't that be interesting? ;)

I need sleep. And more importantly, a new layout for the web log. When shall I ever find the time to make one? *sighs dramatically* Hopefully, I'll be back to my old self tomorrow... good night Z_z

12:31 p.m. Just ate a huge serving of fried rice with shrimp. o_O It appears that every attempt at going on a small diet has failed! I love rice, and meant to have only a few bites, and 10 minutes later... all gone. ;_;

Registration day for school is this Thursday... we also receive our timetables, and if there is anything wrong with mine, I'll have a fit. >.>; There is always a line of 100+ people on the first day of school, wishing to change their timetables. And I do not want to wait in a never-ending line. ^^; What worries me at the moment, is that I have done very little work on my collective this summer. I wanted to get a lot finished, but never had the motivation to do so. ._. I've attempted to make a new layout for this blog several times as well, but I think I'm in a layout-slump. I promise to have a new one up by the end of this month, honest! ^-^

I've had a few doctor appointments lately, which I've failed to mention in my weblog. I'm thankful that there is nothing seriously wrong with me, but my doctor is making me take vitamin C & E, on top of the beer yeast tablets & vitamin A that I have to take. That amounts to about 10 tablets a day. @_@ I do not like swallowing pills, either...!

That's all for today! I apologize for the rambling & randomness in today's entry. ^^; I'm off to go shopping with my grandma. Must buy a new watch, skirt, more books, and French vanilla yogurt. It's the only yogurt I'll eat. ^^ *picky picky*

08:54 p.m. I went to the Canadian National Exhibition this weekend. ^.^ Lots of fun, games, and food. My favourite part every year is visiting the International Pavilions. But there wasn't very much this time... even in the Japan stand. ;_; Mostly Gundam Wing & Dragonball Z items. The only thing I ended up with was a little Russian doll keychain. ^_~

It was too humid today and my feet have swollen quite a bit. And this coming weekend will be so busy~~ I've neglected to look at much of my French & German review, not to mention finishing my reading. -_-; I can't believe school is starting so soon; in some ways, I do want to go back, but when I think of the stress... *backs away* And on an unrelated note... someone sent me a Crushlink! Arrgh!! *pulls hair out* Who is it?!

05:26 p.m. I'm so happy today. ^_^ I was able to talk to one of my best friends, and I haven't spoken to her in so long... I'm glad that she's doing well and happy. It's nice to know that your friends are happy, especially when you haven't spoken to them in some time. I also received a very nice e-mail from a guy in Germany, which made my day. ^^ Since it's a cloudy, rainy day here, it's nice to get a pleasant e-mail to brighten it. :D

I now vow to save my money, and not buy anymore books, anime, or manga for awhile. I've bought 8 books in the past 3 days, 3 anime tapes, 6 manga... ^^;; Must resist the urge...

Hmm, I wonder if my tennis lesson is cancelled today since it is raining. I certainly hope that my teacher isn't one of those who love to torture their students by making them run around in the rain. -_-; A few final notes: congrats on the new car, Phil! And go take a look at Charlene's soothing new layout. ^_^v

11:58 a.m. I went to sleep yesterday at 5 pm! If you refer to below entry, I was complaining about being dragged out of bed so early in the morning yesterday. ^_^ But this was because I promised my friend that I would walk the 1-1/2 hour walk to some jean store with her. Honestly, I wish I could drive! It was terrible walking such a great distance in the extreme heat & humidity! At least the jean store had really nice jeans that were 70% off! Now that's a good discount, I say. I believe they were so cheap because all of them were either defective or slightly damaged. I got a pair for only $15... and the only thing that was wrong with them was that they had a lack of sparkles! (They were meant to be sparkly jeans, which I didn't like that much anyway. ^^)

So, after that, I also promised said friend that I would help her walk her neighbour's dog, Katie. Now Katie is a very cute little puppy of 1 year, but EXTREMELY hyper. She tried to jump on every single rollerblader or biker in the park, and had to sniff around EVERY single garbage can as well. ^^;

Having explained all that, I was so tired when I got home, that I promptly went to sleep at 5 pm. And I would have slept in today, had I not had a bad dream that woke me up. The bad dream had to do with the fact that school starts in 2 weeks! ;_; I can't even remember much of the details, except that I was being chased by a teacher down the hallway screaming and holding a test paper with a big red F on it. >.>; If that actually happens some day... ._.

07:34 a.m. Oi... why am I up so early?! *falls over* X.x

03:53 p.m. Music: Island in the Sun by Weezer
Heyo! ^.^ I've been doing so much reading lately, much to the dismay of my friends. It's always "Get a life!" when I answer their phone calls and they ask what I've been up to. Oh well, I can't help it! Sometimes I just feel like sitting outside in the sun and reading. ^^;

Hana Yori Dango Hmm... I ordered some fansubs today, as well: a volume each of Romeo's Blue Skies, Hana Yori Dango, and Legend of Basara. There aren't so many titles to choose from though... I wish I had at least picked up more of the VPMiyu fansubs before they were removed. The TV series is good! Ah, speaking of VPMiyu, the manga I got was very lovely & detailed (in respect to the artwork), Elyse! ^_^ Though I couldn't form much of an impression on the series plot or characthers... unfortunately, all I have is a part of the first volume, rather than a tankoubon. >.>; And thus it's very short. *pauses* I've been spending too much money either on anime/manga goods or books. Not good! I'm still trying to save for all the overseas trips I hope to take in the coming years. ;_;

My grandma is calling me now, rather angrily I think. You see, I have to take a whole bunch of vitamins daily, but I always avoid taking the beer yeast ones (YUCK x.x) and now I'm being forced to do so. Wish me luck; if you've ever had to take beer yeast, you'll know what I mean... =_=;

09:39 p.m. I got my pictures from my trip to the Butterfly Conservatory in Niagara Falls. Unfortunately, my scanner refuses to work, and I think it needs a re-install. >.>; Aha! The picture I took of the butterfly sitting on one of the visitor's *ahem* rear end... turned out quite nicely. ^_^ Just the pictures of myself weren't super, the sunburn on my face made me look like a tomato. Feh.

Yup, Gem-chan, you certainly get noticed getting those foil highlights. This one guy sitting next to me asked, "Is it really worth all THAT to get your hair looking pretty?" I wasn't sure how to respond at the moment, for I wasn't 100% comfortable sporting the "Ahh! I look like a monster look." Kekeke XD XD

And speaking of school clothes shopping, that's what I did today! Normally it is a fun experience, though my mother and grandma were absolutely unshakeable when they demanded they go with me instead of going with my friends. ^^; A full 6 hours of shopping with family can be a difficult, difficult thing. Not recommended by me! Though they spotted some rather good deals that I probably wouldn't have. ~^^~

Vampire Yui: Nagi ^.^ Ah yes, and one more thing... my Vampire Yui manga arrived yesterday! I like Ms. Kakinouchi's artwork very much. Too bad I can't afford to buy any more volumes. ;_; I spent enough on school clothes today. It makes me wish sometimes that I had a school uniform. Doesn't it make things much easier? ^^;

Thursday, August 16, 2001
04:55 p.m. I feel very drained today. ._. Not only did I have an appointment with the doctor, but with the dentist too. The doctor had to take my blood, and my fright of needles didn't make that very easy. ^^; The only nice thing was that I got a free toothbrush from the dentist. XD ... Garion, nice to see you blogging again after such a long absence! And another layout spotting: Yukino has a nice new one on her log. Go visit ^^

Wednesday, August 15, 2001
12:43 p.m. I updated the web log links (finally ~_~) and added a few new ones. And Connie, happy birthday! ^^ Ne, Joey, I'd like to take a picture of my hair, but I must get film for my camera... which is why I am in need of a web cam, but haven't been able to successfully persuade convince my mother to get one. ^^;

Monday, August 13, 2001
02:52 p.m. I highlighted my hair earlier at the hairdresser's. It was a very long process using foil, so that I pitied the poor hairdresser. But after 3 hours, the foil was removed and the highlights turned out nicely. ^_^ I chose only a slightly lighter blonde than my own natural colour however; that was due to the presence of my mother of course. ^^;

One thing that I love to do is to get personal mail! And fortunately today, I received a letter from a penpal in Denmark. Now, I'm waiting anxiously for the Vampire Yui manga I got from Ebay to arrive. *^^* I'm hoping to get some more anime tapes this coming week as well... but not many as my spending money is rather limited. ^^; Perhaps a volume of Boys Be, Romeo's Blue Skies or Kaikan Phrase? If anyone can make some recommendations, I'd be grateful! It also seems that many titles have been removed from the fansub list since the last time I checked. Oh well, I guess I should have picked them up sooner before they were commercially bought. ;_;

09:38 p.m. Although I'm suffering the extreme pains of a sunburn on my shoulders and forehead, I had a very nice weekend. ^_^ Which is good, because holidays are quickly coming to an end! I went to the beach with my friend today and sat for 3 hours relaxing either on the sand or in the water. Very pleasant on a hot day. After that, we ate enormous platters of food at this Italian deli. o_O; Then, at my friend's house, we did those 'mini makeover disasters' on each other... ahh, I wish I had had some film for my camera. ;_;

I mustn't forget about Saturday too, though the following will make you believe I am quite the nerd. ^^; As much as I do not look forward to starting school again, I look forward, EVERY year, to buying new school supplies! :o It's just so much fun picking out brand-new, shiny pens and other similar objects. ^_^ *nods* I know, very crazy, ne?

And now at home, my parents were so nice to buy me apricots (this is Isabela's favourite fruit =P) and cook kebabche (these are Bulgarian, so I don't know the English word... kind of like skinny meatballs?) I wouldn't be surprised if I came out looking like a meatball by the end of this summer if I keep stuffing myself silly! ~:D

Joey, it's great that you are better now (if it wasn't for the voice thing ^_^) Just another one of the annoying things the flu leaves behind. -_-; Selene, I'm deeply sorry for your loss, I know it must be painful... And Gemangel, yay, you're done with finals, good job! Now it's time to catch on relaxing, ne? ^.^

Well, I'm getting drowsy (Whaa?! From lying on the beach all day?! @.@) so to anyone who has e-mailed me, I'll get back to you... later. *waves goodbye to her overflowing inbox* T_T

01:06 p.m. I cleaned my room all of yesterday, ending up with 3 garbage bags full of 'stuff'. '_' Lots of old clothes, socks, and useless things! It's such a relief now that everything is clean, and I have more room (my room is tiny as it is.) ^_^

My first tennis lesson on Tuesday was very enjoyable. ^^ Though my dad insisted on walking with me the 5 minutes to the tennis court, (>.>;) all went well. I noticed a few things throughout the lesson: 1) Everyone plays as badly as I do! (It's a beginner's course) ^^; 2) One must have careful footing as there are many little critters on the court during the evening. Yuck. ;_;

A late happy birthday wish must be sent to Shiori! Happy birthday. ^_^v Alexa has also merged her weblog, so I must change it on the links... *ahem* ... I must change many of the links, which hasn't happened yet, due to my laziness, of course. XD And finally, Elyse, congratulations on graduating! Good luck on the move. ^^

Tuesday, August 7, 2001
07:39 p.m. It's been a record-breaking hot day today in Toronto! With the humidex, it was 45 degrees... and I went outside for a second to drop off mail, nearly dying in the process. ;_; I felt so disoriented when I stumbled back inside, thank goodness my tennis lessons are in the evenings when it's cooler! =_= Anyways, I did some self-discovery/personality tests today, so this post has my results. You may go away now, because I understand this is boring to read through! ^^; But I archived after all, and must fill up space. ^_^

This one is from Quizbox:

Your view on yourself: You are intelligent, honest and sweet. You are friendly to everybody and don't like conflict. Because you're so cheerful and fun people are naturally attracted to you and like to talk to you. [I agree with this one somewhat. I avoid bloody brawls XD... and I do hope people are naturally attracted to me!]

The type of girl/boyfriend you are looking for: You are not looking merely for a girl/boyfriend - you are looking for your life partner. Perhaps you should be more open-minded about who you spend time with. The person you are looking for might hide their charm under their exterior. [*nods* I should use this advice... -_-;] The next two were similar in nature, so I won't bother posting them.

Your views on education: Education is very important in life. You want to study hard and learn as much as you can. [Education is an important value of mine, though I think I've slacked off a little in studying. ;_; Must improve that this year!]

The right job for you: You have plenty of dream jobs but have little chance of doing any of them if you don't focus on something in particular. You need to choose something and go for it to be happy and achieve success. [Ah... I must find a balance between something I love but which is also practical!]

How do you view success? You are afraid of failure and scared to have a go at the career you would like to have in case you don't succeed. Do not give up when you have not even started yet! Be courageous! [Very true. I think this is one of my largest difficulties that I need to overcome.]

What are you most afraid of? You are concerned about your image and the way others see you. This means that you try very hard to be accepted by other people. It's time for you to believe in who you are, not what you wear. [I was always worried about this when I first started high school, happily it's not as much of a problem anymore! ^_^]

Who is your true self? You like privacy very much because you enjoy spending time with your own thoughts. You like to disappear when you cannot find solutions to your own problems, but you would feel better if you learned to share your thoughts with a person you trust. [Also quite true... though it makes me sound like a loner, ne? T_T]

And that's all for today! I agree with Elyse when she said that her results were generally true. So were mine! I did the Yahoo Palm Reading test as well, but I think I've made this entry long enough. ^^; *apologizes frantically*
