Almost done... 3 down, 3 to go. The stress just keeps increasing though! The wind knocked over some flowers and pots on the balcony too... for the third time I just put them in their place again, this time using masking tape to keep them there! Stress reliever, anyone? ,_,

And catching up on some news:
Champions France crash out - I'm a little concerned that the entire French team & coach will be murdered upon their arrival home. :o
Sun, moon put on show - Anyone get a chance to see this? I've yet to see a solar eclipse... Never been in the right place at the right time ^^;

Ah, yes, babbling again. Trying to avoid all the studying left to do... hectic would be an understatement ~_~

Still stuffed up and headache-y... I'm trying to reinstall my scanner right now, but it doesn't seem to want to function properly. I still haven't gotten around to cleaning my closet either... ^^;; Or study accounting papers... *cough* -procrastination- I did however add a few new sprites: a little Swiss one (it's funny-looking!) and a green tea cup because I am a fan of green tea. :) Ironically, I'm posting more regularly these days even though I'm very busy with school! I think I just miss my weblog!

Bad luck seems to follow me around! I got up this morning with a horrible headache; the little cold I had yesterday became much worse over the span of a few hours. @.@ I drank some lemon-ginger tea which tasted kind of strange but rather helped my sore throat. I wrote my French exam and did all right (well, at least I hope) and then got ready for my German oral exam. Which never happened! There wasn't any time left because some of the presentations that were supposed to be yesterday were pushed up to today. I dressed up and lugged a bag of props for nothing. ^^; And I was made fun of for my weird South American-jungle outfit. No, it's not as bad as you might think ^^; But it must be worn again for Wednesday... I also didn't do well on my last biology test before the exam; this ruined the rest of my day. Oh, and I won't get my yearbook either, because they don't arrive until June 21st, one day after I will have left the country. :D

Somehow, I've still managed to hold on to a little positive energy to get me through the day -- my friend who recently came back from an exchange taught me some German songs that I had a lot of fun singing, with my hoarse, scratchy throat. And ironically the weather is beau-ti-ful today!

Wai wai! I can't believe it but a job opportunity just fell into my lap today! Although it's short-term - From June 13 to the 19th in between exams - it does open the door to other opportunities. Plus it's in the library and I've always enjoyed doing the volunteer work there that I've done before. ^^; And what else happened to me today? There was another fire alarm at school (again due to the defective fire alarm system recently installed) and I was tied to the flagpole while standing outside. I couldn't unattach my backpack from the pole, but finally the loser (>.>;) who tied me there felt guilty and came outside to untie me! Flustered and late for class, I was happy when the day was over. Hmph!

Okay! Time for sleep, I have a big day tomorrow -- a French composition examination as well as an oral exam in German. :(

*waves* I just wanted to post at least one entry for June. ^^ I'm starting exams now -- wish me luck!! Good luck to anyone else who is busy with exams and/or projects.

I did some spring cleaning this past weekend, particularly in my own room (not that it was in need of any *cough*). It's so much easier, for me at least, to do my work in a workspace that is neat and tidy. I'll remember this for next time. I also put some of those mini umbrellas that one gets with a cocktail drink around my room, and all that's left to do is the closet. *shudder* Reminds of the time I opened my locker at school once and a whole stack of papers and (thankfully) empty binders fell on my head... XD

Please excuse a little moment of poetry. I've been helping a friend look for some examples for her English project. ^^

Light pours forth on blinded eyes.
I face the truth of my demise.
I'll not resist, though pain is strong -
The ending notes of one last song.

In the Streetsville area? Come and see the Bread & Honey Festival! I was supposed to go this evening, but as soon as I got home from my driving lesson, (which didn't go so well -parallel parking- 'nuff said ^^;) I fell in a deep sleep for a couple of hours. I just spent the rest of this evening taking a pile of study notes for my French exam next Friday, and reading my German story selection -- "Die Tante aus Südamerika" -- a very cute story LOL. However, I am not a geek, contrary to popular belief. :P

In other *cough* exciting news, I found my school's underground online magazine/paper. It was produced a couple of years before I came to the school, by a series of unknown graduating individuals whose true identities were never discovered. When I came to the school, that was about all I had heard about the "rumour". And now I have somehow stumbled upon its secretive location -- it does exist! And the articles make for a very interesting read as well. :o I suppose I should spread the link around cautiously, ne?

Oh dear, my grandma has gone out and gotten 3 unbelievably LARGE suitcases. I do not want to lug that much around, but she said that even those won't be enough!! I might as well just pack my computer too, it will all fit. XD

My last normal day of school is June 6 -- my last exam is on June 19! Time passes by fast, so fast... It's already Friday, and I have a driving lesson. Eek. I was supposed to practice but as usual I did not have the time! I don't have a natural knack for driving either since I'm so nervous at the wheel. ._.

World Cup '02 started today. That means father will be hogging the TV & VCR. Of course he did say he wasn't going to watch it since Bulgaria didn't qualify (;_;)... I think that's unlikely though. ^^

Hihi ^^ I am back from business camp, which was an incredible experience. Unfortunately, I am now so terribly behind in school that I won't be able to take the time to write about my time and I think I might be gone for awhile. Take care everyone. I have exams in the next 2-3 weeks, all projects due Monday (!!) wish me luck! I hope I have a chance to post before leaving for Bulgaria; my last exam is on the same day as my flight now so it couldn't have worked out any better, ne? Life is hard, but that's what makes it interesting. As told to me by a friend today. ^^

I wish I could write a happier entry, but I can't. For some reason, I've never learned to cope with disappointment, even after all the disappointments I've had to deal with this year. Please, someone tell me, how do you cope with it? It's so hard because I don't feel motivated to do anything anymore; all the hard work and effort I have tried to put in never results in much. It is such an awful feeling that I can't rid myself of... ._. How many times have I cried at school, trying to stop the tears but being unable to, so I have to make excuses and mumble something about sensitive eyes, allergies, etc. I feel so childish and weak sometimes!

That being the case, there's not much more to say today. :(

AHH! This is a rarity, but for once I must say how easy it is to hate the French language and its stupid grammatical irregularities. I've spent hours on a few exercises that I never thought would take so long but have found that I was sadly wrong. ;_;

Oh, now I really wish school was over - always, at the end of the year like this, I feel so burnt out and anxious for the holidays to begin. There's still so much left to do, the weather's still yucky too, so it doesn't even feel like May, or spring for that matter.

Ehh, since I'm in a bad mood, I'm having trouble writing coherent sentences... *stomps feet* *pulls out hair* ... I feel better now, I think ^^;

It's a new layout! Not very interesting, but at least I've updated something. Thankfully, it's a long weekend because of Victoria Day and I have a moment to relax. ^^;

I went to see Star Wars Episode II last night and it was very good! It was suspenseful throughout, had some amazing digital effects, and a very surprising lightsaber fight scene. Anyone who has seen it will know what I'm talking about. :P I thought Ewan McGregor's acting was particularly good, and the love story was touching (though maybe sometimes a little 'eh..' in a very few parts.) But there couldn't have been more beautiful backdrops during those scenes so I'm not complaining!

You know what has really taken over the city of Toronto? Hockey Fever! Cars all over are sporting Toronto Maple Leafs flags and even blue hair. Let's hope that they make it to the playoff final! :D

My little vase of flowers are all dead now... I'd throw them out if only they didn't smell so nice still. ^^;

Monday, May 13, 2002 12:10 a.m.
Ahh, it's been a hectic day. Haven't really had a chance to sit until now, and it's 10 after 12! ;_; I went to the library for what seemed like all day, to gather research for my biology project on congestive heart failure, and to work on my German project on traditional festivals. Then I came home and made an apple cake for Mother's Day, but ended up eating most of it myself. ^^;; It was really yummy, though!

Any viewers of Alias? What a cliffhanger! But that's what season finales are meant to be, ne? ^^ Ehh... the only thing I wasn't able to finish today was my Accounting homework (again!) It's just so tedious sometimes... Maybe I should work on it now, but I'm too tired. x_x

Monday, May 6, 2002 05:09 p.m.
*throws PowerPoint out window* I have to compile even more slides now (for that Int'l festival): first France, Korea, Germany, and now Eastern Europe/Poland/Russia, Afghanistan, Sri Lanka; no one seems to have wanted to do those areas, so I'm left with triple the work. Bleh, PowerPoint gets to be frustrating after working on it too long ~_~

Wah, I had quite an unpleasant day today. I'm also still recovering from an orthodontal appointment I had after school. All those wires poking here & there in my mouth. Not pleasant. And it is Monday as well, that must have something to do with my bad mood!!

Saturday, May 4, 2002 03:40 p.m.
Hello there! It's been a while, but I've been so busy again, and not just with school work for once! I got myself involved in too many extra-curricular things again. In fact, right now I'm working on parts of a slideshow presentation for the school's international festival. Then there's posters for the library to work on, files to sort & organize... What about my HUGE biology & German projects too? *whines*

I can't go on the French trip to Montréal anymore, either! I was looking forward to it, but it doesn't fit in with my *cough* schedule. There's so many things I have to work on this month (look at the calendar on the right) and exams start much earlier this year. Or it seems that way, at least. The day after my last exam, I must hop on a plane to Vienna (and from there, to Bulgaria.) I'll be tired and burnt out (from exams), but somehow I'll make it. I think. ^^;

Today's Orthodox Easter; I had completely forgotten (that's nothing new!) so my grandma made Easter eggs without me since she knew I was busy this past week. Last night, I came home from school, had my driving lesson (which didn't go too well, I was so drowsy), came back home and promptly went to sleep. *ahem* My point is, Happy Easter to those who happen to celebrate it today!

Jamie Oliver (aka The Naked Chef) was in Toronto this week! Missed that too. My friend and I were so disappointed we couldn't go to see him. I wish I could cook that well. My cooking skills aren't amounting to much these days. -_-;

Is warm weather around the corner? I hope so. It's been a very chilly couple of weeks!
