I went to my school's musical production of The King and I this evening and it was wonderful. The music, the costumes, the actors, the stage settings, everything was perfect - even though there were the expected minor mix-ups! ^^;
Things have settled down a little bit, but I'm bound to get busy again soon! I was accepted into the business conference I applied for, which came as a huge surprise because I didn't feel very confident after the interview! ...I presented a German dialogue today with my crazy partner; in one scene, the students found it so hilarious that we had to stop for nearly 7 minutes while I wiped my eyes. I was crying from laughing so much!
We had a little snow earlier this week *cringe* and it's still rather chilly. The weather here must be the strangest weather in the world - one week of 30 degree temperatures changes rapidly to below freezing point. Mreh. >.>;
I'm running on caffeinated tea, but the effect is wearing off now... liaka nosh ^^

Happy Earth Day! We were unable to plant our class tree today because it is... SNOWING... again. >.>;
That's all I have to say - again, I'm terribly overloaded with schoolwork & other matters, so see you soon... ^^;;

Another very warm day. o_O; I do like warm weather; it's perfectly acceptable when the humidity is not suffocating me!! And our school, sadly, does not have a functioning air conditioning system at the moment...
I have a large test on genetics tomorrow that I've been studying for, but is still causing me much stress. It's one of the most frustrating things - to prepare and prepare - and then feel very underprepared 5 minutes before the test. It's not good to overstudy either! I've learned this from experience! ^^;
In other news, I have my plane ticket for Bulgaria now, and because the travel agent called back so late >.>, there were few options left available. Which means the only departure time is June 20. (Much earlier than I had expected to go.) Will very likely coincide with an exam, and I'll be required to write it earlier. *backs away* I'm still, and always will be, very afraid of exams!!
OK, back to studying Mendelian genetics, DNA structure, chromosomal disorders, etc etc... *pulls hair out*

IT IS SO HOT!!
Weather in Toronto today: 28 degrees Celsius. Sunny. HUMID.

The Friday Five questions... a little late though; I was so busy yesterday! ^^;
What is your favourite restaurant and why?
Mövenpick Marché! Ever since I went there a couple of months ago, it's been my favourite restaurant. They offer a wonderful selection of food, that's made right in front of your face, and the prices are still fairly reasonable. :3
What fast food restaurant are you partial to?
I don't like fast food much, especially McDonald's (bad experiences...) but Licks has a selection of very yummy burgers and ice cream. It's also a lot of fun to eat there. ^-^
What are your standards and rules for tipping?
Umm... (a) Leave it to my parents, if they are present. (b) Hope it's been already included on the bill. Otherwise I'll never make up my mind as to how much tip to leave... -_-;
Do you usually order an appetizer and/or dessert?
Very seldomly do I order an appetizer. If I do, it's because I'm not very hungry and prefer to eat it as my actual meal. Some appetizers can be the equivalent of a substantially-sized meal you know! ^^; Dessert - if I've left enough room, but I usually do not order it.
What do you usually order to drink at a restaurant?
50% of the time, water. The rest of the time, some sort of fruit juice. :)

Oh, I'm so happy! My school is doing tree-planting again. :) As long as my bio class collects enough money, we'll be able to plant a beautiful little baby tree somewhere around the school! It was fudge day today too... two of my friends and I purchased a pound to share; I must say though, my chunk of fudge was more than I can handle. Ah, yes, it's yummy stuff, but incredibly sweet. Just recovering now from the stomach-ache. *rolls over*

Very tired... all thanks to Daylight Savings Time! It makes a significant difference when you've settled into a schedule that remains the same from day-to-day....
I thought I'd be adventurous and get today's soup from the cafeteria. Never again. Cream of potato is neither appealing in appearance nor taste. o_O;

I had a busy Saturday evening - something which resembled a social life for once. ^^; I went to a friend's birthday party, where we ate at a lovely Italian restaurant-bakery... the food was so good and the restaurant owners so nice and cheerful. I had such a wonderful time!! We went rollerskating at Scooter's Palace next... yes, rollerskates, not inline skates! Those are very hard to get used too... my friend and I tripped/bumped into each other several times. After that, I headed over to another friend's house who was also celebrating a birthday, and now, finally back home. *yawns*
So it is Daylight Savings Time! As much as losing an hour of sleep is unpleasant, having more hours of daylight is definitely preferable. Now, let's hope the weather improves. *crosses fingers* We've been receiving the winter we never had or ever even wanted lately! x.x
I still have to work on my resumé for the business conference, but I might not end up going anyway because it will possibly coincide with a French trip to MONTREAL! I'm very excited... even though it's going to empty my pockets. ^^;
Well, I'm going to read a little and then go to sleep. Especially since it's an hour less now... and look at the TIME! =_=;
Friday, April 5, 2002 01:03 a.m.
Why am I up so late again? Helping my fellow schoolmates again of course. [With both academic and personal troubles.] ^^; It happens often when I go on ICQ, which is why I prefer not to go online as much anymore. It is a nice feeling to feel needed, but it is now at the expense of my own well-being and sanity. Thank goodness tomorrow's Friday, but alas, more work awaits me for the weekend. My first driving lesson is tomorrow though! Must get an adequate amount of sleep... There's much more that I was wanting to say, but it's just too late and I can't remember =.=;

Aaaah! It snowed today! Huge blanket-y snowflakes that would be welcome in the winter, but no no, not in the spring!! x_x
Oi, I just spent hours on the phone talking with my friend. We both had bad days today so we vented out to each other. (That's what friends are for. ^^v) But look at the time...! *worried* There goes my normal sleeping schedule... ._.
Saturday, March 30, 2002 07:54 p.m.
My, did I treat myself today. Not feeling guilty yet though. :D Except that I should be saving, not spending! I bought a few new clothes for the season - I love pastels and there were many items in those colours. ^^ I also tried out a Milky Bubble Tea in passionfruit from Bubble Tease, which was refreshing but rather expensive. o.O; My father and I went out to Licks for supper... I had a turkey burger ("Gobbler" :P) which was super yummy.
I rented The Princess Diaries yesterday and watched it with a friend... a cute and feel-good movie. I've always loved Julie Andrews since The Sound of Music!
Oi, I must rest my poor feet. I have not sat down at all until now. Upon thinking about it, I do feel guilty for having treated myself without much of a reason for doing so. I want to support more good causes and help the community! *makes notes* ... Happy (early) Easter everyone, by the way!
Thursday, March 28, 2002 04:56 p.m.
New layout... featuring a very cute little dog named Buru Buru! I know it's very plain, but it's light and somewhat cheery, which is what I had aimed for!
I need to fill up space because the log doesn't look all that interesting without text. ^^; It's a four-day holiday in which I hope to get well rested since I didn't really have the opportunity to do so during the March break. But as usual, there comes a heavy workload... I must work on my resumé to apply for some business conference my accounting teacher wants me to attend... lots of French and German assignments... The weather is improving though, so yay :D
I didn't realize until a couple of days ago that the Orthodox Easter is on the 5th of May. What a long ways away! It's usually been closer to the Western date of Easter as far as I can remember. Whatever the case, it means double the chocolate eggs. *_* My German teacher gave each student a Kinder Surprise egg (... no, you are never too old to have one of these!) and I found a very cute toy inside for once. It's a little dolphin that stores a mini crayon. Took me long enough to put it together though... o_O;
Ah, I give up! I can write no more... There's always these things for taking up space:
