:: Oh boy! :: Friday, February 17, 2006

I really adore my kids. All 30 of them. Aren't you jealous that I am still QUITE skinny even though I have 30 kids? Aren't you also jealous that at QUITE a young age of 24, I am already blessed with 30 eight year old kids?

Ho Ho.

If only they were REALLY my kids.

Image hosting by Photobucket

Sigh.

Not only are they endearing, they are perfect angels too.

A colleague of mine, Edwin, was telling me his comical encounter with my boy who went to him earlier today to ask for my book on my behalf.

My boy: Good afternoon Mr Pang, can Mdm Diah have her family tree book back?

Edwin: Sure, here it is.

My boy: Ok.

Edwin: Boy, what should you say?

My boy: Bye bye!

And he UNsheepishly sprinted out of Edwin's class.

My boy, you should have said 'Thank You'. But saying 'Bye bye' is nevertheless, very the cute.

Maybe that's why you are MY boy.

:: I do. (NOT) :: Thursday, February 16, 2006

There are so many things I ve been wanting to do but I can't. You'll see.

I wanted to reply to all your mails but I accidentally DELETED all your mails.

I wanted to change my layout but I decided to change my MIND instead.

I wanted to post up pictures of my pupils but due to a very busy week, I had to POSTpone my intention.

Sorry.

Today is already the 16th. In 9 more days, I'll be 25. Eh best, I am turning 25 on the 25th tau! But I have still not paid my handphone bill. $37.07. Hmm. I have decided and this time, I 'll make sure I do it.

I will only pay my hp bill when I am 25.

:)

:: Truth hurts. :: Monday, February 13, 2006

Hello, I am Aniq.

Yesterday, my pretty Mummy and handsome Daddy left me in the care of an equally pretty Auntie and handsome Uncle. I do not know their names but I do know their house is very, very, nice. Oh I know now! That Aunty's name rhymes with banana. Hmmm. I love bananas! Anyway, Aunty Banana and the handsome Uncle have my pictures all over their house, and they even have a room especially for me! I bet they were trying to trick me into believing that they were my real parents. What nonsense?! I am smarter than that, ok? Right Mummy? (Right, Aniq!)

I love taking pictures with my Mummy and Daddy because they are so cool.

I think they are the coolest parents in the whole wide world! Some people say that I should be careful of my Mummy as she is like a hyena. I do not know what a hyena is but it sure sounds cool. My Mummy has a very high pitched voice, but I am getting pretty used to it. I think my Mummy should try out for Singapore Idol.

I love my Mummy so much. She doesnt care that much about looking nice in pictures. She cares about me more. Look at this picture. Look at how my Mummy was trying so hard to make me feel all right beside Aunty Banana. And look at that Aunty Banana so busy posing for the picture. Female strangers...they are so vain.

When my Mummy and Daddy left me in the arms of the handsome Uncle, I was all cool about it. See, I am a cool hunk. I even have a Cool Hunk T-shirt! Besides, my Mummy has trained me well to not be scared of strangers.

Ok, enough already of my pictures!
Image hosting by Photobucket

No more! No more!

Even stars need a break, what more a cool hunk like me? But since you have all been good, let me just give you my winning beam before I end this entry.

Image hosting by Photobucket

I like this picture a lot because it has my Mummy's thumb on the left, and Daddy's finger on the right. (Besides the fact that I look good, of course!)

Gaga Gugu!

Mummy and Daddy, please come and take me home soon. Aunty Banana keeps calling herself Mummy, I think she has gone mad.

:: 3 tablespoons of oil. :: Thursday, February 9, 2006

All right!! The Get-To-Know Session with the parents was an accomplishment. I proved 3 things today both to myself and to others. I am a brazen public speaker, one. I am so NOT afraid of the crowd, two. I am able to ATTACK in a rather subtle way when BOMBARDed with questions, three. More of Get-To-Know sessions, please? Just charge to my account. :)

However, my face was quite an unsightful one during the whole session just now. While presenting my slides, talking and catwalking all at the same time, I was also perspiring mercilessly, mind you! God, my whole face was so oily throughout the whole session, it was a complete mess. I so knew that my NOT waterproof mascara was smudging and that my powder was turning cakey.

Add on to my title now. Mdm Diah OILY. Mdm D.O, in short. I do not mind, actually. At least its better than being called Mdm B.O. But hello, please give me some credit la. Hello again, imagine having about 30 parents with their eyes all on you, and nothing else? You think you can handle it? Join teaching as a career, then!

Oh well, at the end of the day I am just glad. Glad that it is over, one. Glad that the session was a success, two. Glad that I presented myself well, three. Glad that the parents are in fact, very fond of oily me. I am definitely not gladful for that oily incident, though. Pfft.

I need to get a big fan for my class soon.

It is too humid for a HOT teacher like me.

Yes, I am a hot teacher.

I get hot easily, see. And oily, subsequently.

And please, the introduction speech in my previous entry was really not the intended introduction speech for the parents. Don't take me too seriously, loves. :)

Ok, marking time.

*DO NOT DISTURB*

:: Honestly now... :: Wednesday, February 8, 2006

Ili's birthday celebration was really sweet, simply because I was part of it. Heh. Shafiq and Yan gave her an M1 voucher. $25 worth of Seoul's Garden. Mister Misers.

Tomorrow evening is the CNY cum Get to Know Session with the parents. I am freaking out a bit here. I am not a public speaker, one. I fear the crowd, two. I might be bombarded with unreasonable or hard to answer questions, three. I have just finished preparing the colourful slides to present to them. Now, if only the slides could do all the talking, then it would be perfect. I know! I can pretend that I have not regained my voice as yet! Hmmpf!

This is my introduction speech.

"Hi, I am Mdm Diah Mastura. You can just call me Mdm Diah. If possible, refrain from calling me Mdm Mastura. Mdm sounds old enough, so let's not rub it in, shall we? I am the form teacher of 1 Peace. I am only 24 years old, much younger than most of you mothers out here. In fact, I can even be your daughters so now, don't you find it funny that I am teaching your kids, and you're calling me Mdm? I just got married about one month ago and I am not planning to get pregnant yet. The reason why I was on Mc for the past 2 days was not because I am pregnant. I was really sick, so do have a bit of sympathy on me. I have less than 1 year of teaching experience so pardon me if at times, I appear like a cuckoo bird. My daddy used to rear a cuckoo bird, by the way. I am positive I will be able to help your kids, if only you give me the chance to."

So how? Is my introduction speech convincing and honest enough?

It's important to be really honest when you meet parents for the first time, you know?

Honesty kan is the best policy.

Right.

:: What's up, doc? :: Tuesday, February 7, 2006

Ahaks! Another one of "OUR SONG". You and I both. Hehe.

Today is the second and the last day of my MC. I lost my voice yesterday. At first, when my voice was really hoarse and croaky, I thought it was pretty sexy. Like Ella, the Malay rock singer. But I didnt know that I was already slowly losing my voice. People who called me yesterday all thought I sounded like a man. A very, very, strong man. Nurul thought I sounded like a deprived bapok. A very, very deprived bapok.

It was so bad till I had to resort to writing a love letter to my doctor.

My doctor was like, "Ooh goodie, a love letter!"

Whatever.

Today is also my sister's 18th birthday. Happy Birthday, Ili Diyana! Let's celebrate!

Add 7 years to her age, and you will have my age. (in another 18 days, that is!)

And oh, I'll be 25 with no kids. There is a consolation, though.

I am already married.

Pheww!

:o

:: FLUffed :: Sunday, February 5, 2006

Just when the weekend is about to come to an end, I am down with a cold. A really bad one. I am feeling so irritable. Anyone who dares come near me is bound to get it. For instance, Tatek, Tatek, and Tatek. Tatek, please read this. I am sensitive to sweet things like you when I am sick. Thank you.

You know how irksome a bad flu can get, right? Especially if you just got it. Its like you feel an itch in your nose, but when you attempt to dig your nose and scratch it, its not even itchy. Yes, I am experiencing that at the present moment. Its just...irritating.

I ve been pulling one tissue after another from the originally full tissue box. My nose is slowing turn red and sore. My eyes are so watery, I can water my plants. Oh, and most importantly, I am slowly losing my sense of smell. What does this mean, can you tell me? No, I'll tell you. No smell equates to no appetite. No smell also equates to no mood. But on the brighter side, no smell equates to a slimmer tummy. For the next few days or so, I don't think I will eat so much, ya? Yahoo!

Right.

Nurul is out with Yan. I am giving her a hard time. I've told her to get me one Happy Family game card. So far, no such luck. How come its so difficult to find Happy Family cards, Old Maid cards or even Donkey cards nowadays? I used to enjoy playing these games. Those good old days. And hey, if I enjoyed playing them games, I am sure my pupils would enjoy them the same too! Damn, I was already planning to use the Happy Family cards to introduce the new unit for English tomorrow, 'Family'. Now I better have a backup plan just in case Nurul is not successful in her attempt.

Yesterday I DID have supper with Tatek. And so did Rini and Nazri. Heh. Nice BUMPing into you two and your big BUMP!! She is so petite but her tummy is already so big. Cuteness. I ve been wondering actually. How exactly will I look like when I am pregnant? Will I look big? Fat? Flabby? Unkempt? And when people see me outside, will they go gushing or will they go, "God, what was that?!!" But oit, I am not planning to get pregnant, ok? Just building castles in the air for now, that's all.

Anyway, here are some pictures of yesterday. Just to prove to you that Tatek is a good hubby and that he did take me out for supper despite his exhaustion from work and all. A model hubby, in simpler words.

:)

Msg received. From Tatek.

"Bye B me going my mum's place. Nak ikut tak?"

What do you think I replied?
