It's the last day of July.
Only about three weeks left of summer. Anyone else wondering, WTF?
Yes, where did the time go? Missed oppurtunities abound; midnight adventures downtown that never happened, overnight movie fests I never attended, glorious feelings of freedom, the "it's-2am-and-parents-are-clueless" flavor I never felt.
But.......but....it's not too late. There's still time, and time is a-wasting. But I can't--I won't--let anymore of that time escape; won't let another day of summer, of youth go wasted.
I certainly hope that's me up there talking; these pills have really been fucking with my head. And the title above is from Imogen Heap - Hide and Seek. Go listen; kate knows what I mean.

Got injured the other day; arms are now bandaged up, and I must take antibiotics to prevent, you know, death. From Cellulitis. Damn Cellulitis.
........BUT aside from that little detail, it's been an interesting month. I made E! the COOLEST birthday card ever. Not only was it disgustingly huge, but it had a giant pink foam "E!" on the front that took me two days to carve from pink insulation foam. Yes.
Anybody wanna teach me guitar? Alex Lo taught me four chords with my left hand, cuz I can only use two fingers right now...but...I'm willing to learn :D

So for those of you wondering how I used to get online at 4am to post Pitas entries, I'd niftily hook up my laptop to the phone jack under my bed and, uh, surf away ^_^
The problem? My parents didn't know about it. And, one day, when they for some unknown reason came into my room at 5am, they expressed their displeasure at my sneaking online. And they confiscalated my laptop--THEY are accountable for my pitas hiatus XD
So, you ask--how do I have this laptop back? I don't. But I discovered my dad had changed my account type to non-admin, so I decided to retaliate and now...he doesn't have an account anymore. Fair is fair. Friends from Taiwan coming over, uh, later today. Shall see how that will turn out. --- --- --- In other news, thanks goes to the lovely christine (little shoe!!) for showing me how much awesomer Java is than Jamba. At least, I suppose, in terms of juice XP

So today I found out Edwards Hospital lied to me. Julius is six feet tall; my eyes come up past his nose. Or maybe I grew taller. He says I can hit 6 feet if I try hard enough :)
E invited me to an ultimate frisbee game; I showed up but there were so many unrecognizeable asian faces that I felt scared and lonely and ran back home. Screamed, "ESTHER!!!" a few times, but no response. Such is life.
Julius made steak fried rice, steak spelled as stake. Yes, that's what the bag said. Steak fried rice was good; a comic book store will be even better. I shall have to see what tomorrow shall have in store for me. Err, later today. Time is all relative anyways.

Thursday, July 7, 2005why JHU *is greater than* Ivy League
I'm at JHU right now; I'm actually getting internet AND feeling like I'm actually at a college campus; at Harvard and MIT, all that appears to surround you is a random assortment of buildings, smack in the middle of some city. Harvard's look like they're old with tradition; MIT's buildings appear to resemble public housing.
Nevermind that the surrounding neighborhoods around JHU seem rather seedy and aren't nearly as tourist friendly as Boston or Cambridge; the fact that there's such a sharp contrast between the JHU campus and the surrounding neighborhood just makes everything here seem greener.
I saw a hopcop. That's what they call them--police officers at John's HOPkins, I mean. It's kind of a nice name.
So our tourguide told us that this one tourguide once actually pushed that red "panic" button that campuses have to prove to the group s/he was guiding that a cop comes within 30 seconds. A hopcop came, all right, but then said hopcop fined him/her for pushing the button without need. Ha.

So today was one big, fat, long-assed car ride. Fortunately, I had headphones. So apparently Ramada has high-speed internet....FREE. Holy shit, I think I'm going to start a religion worshipping the WIFI goodness of their lobby. ::bows down to router::

Parentals finally decided to finalize the college visits; shall be wandering around new england for a bit.
You know what? It's 5 in the morning, and I'm feeling tired. But today I helped make some kickass chicken soup for kate and I got two (2!!!) emails from cynthia so life is now good.
Anyone want to buy a nifty little pocket torch (or two), one that burns at a toasty 2500 degrees?
Enough shameless promoting. I need to sleep sometime soon.
Sleep, toph? You want to SLEEP? Yes.... But sleep is for the weak! .......And the sane.
