I added a few more blog links over on the side there. All my friends are getting blogs now, this is so great! I feel like such a trailblazer :D After being in this house for almost a week now, it feels like I never left. My parents are so funny to be around. They never fight, they just banter in a very amusing way. they both know how ridiculous they both are. If it weren't for all my manga and my nekotachi (Spike and Vicious), I would almost wish I could just stay here ^_^ But then I know I would miss all the SF Gumi terribly! Ahh why can't I import parts of Texas over to the Bay Area? Like the cheap rent prices, mini-marts on every corner, left-turns available at every stoplight, and the cheap gas. I actually saw some gas stations here selling gas for only $1.19-$1.25 a gallon! Can you believe that! In SF it is $1.87-$1.93 a gallon. Wah! Oh yeah, before I forget. I FINALLY tried a Krispy Kreme for the first time tonight. EVERYONE I know has gone on and on about how great they are. You wouldn't believe all the raving praise I have listened to about these things. And at last my Dad took me to the new Krispy Kreme store in Austin. That place was packed! I couldn't believe it! They had traffic cops in the parking lot directing parking traffic! And I have no idea what all this fuss is about! I tried several different types. Yeah, there were pretty good. But certainly not something to get so worked up over O_O It tasted like your average donut or something. Not bad, I liked them. But I don't think I would fight crowds fore them or go in raptures about how fantastic they are @_@ I think I am still on California time because it's past 3am here, and I am not tired at all!
OK, I took the Kingdomality Quiz, and here is what I got: Your distinct personality, The Shepherd is to tend to your human flock. You understand the needs of those for whom you are responsible. Shepherds are vigilant and reliable. You realize your obligation and commitment to the well being of those entrusted to your care. Shepherds are very dependable. You engender a feeling of comfort and stability to those within your charge. On the positive side, Shepherds can be empathic, caring, understanding, practical and realistic. On the negative side, you may be manipulative, close-minded and sentimentally rigid. Interestingly, your preference is just as applicable in today's corporate kingdoms. interesting... Hmm I am feeling very hyper right now. Could it be the Red Bull and Sobe Energy drink combo I just had? *wicked grin* WOO !!! Sarah Brightman concert for La Luna is on PBS right now! Excuse me while I shimmer happily for a while! She has her hair done like it is on the La Luna CD cover *_* *_* *_* I think I will go watch this now....
RAR, I want to work on my web pages~~~~ How can my dad not have photoshop on his computer? I NEED it!~~~ I will just have to resist for a few more days :)I even want to redo this blog again. No! Must resist! Hmm... should I give you all a peek at what the picture for December Niko-niko is? I have it online, but haven't finished coloring it yet. That will have to wait until I get back to San Francisco. Hrm, I'll think about it ^_- Heheh I didn't watch the pr0n with Tanzy and Puu, I am the one who owns it ^_^ Tanzy watched it while in my apartment taking care of my cats while I am gone ^_^ She needs to watch my La Blue Girl DVDs next. The English dub on those is SO BAD and SO FUNNY ^_^ I'm so ecchi :D GRRR! This site is posting a BUNCH of my anime winamp skins without my permission! Feh, another reason I don't make many skins any more....
Oh! I agree with Ka-chan's comments on the pr0n industry. I looked at that Sex and Candy site also, and it does look nice, but I don't think it is very complete. Nothing is really explained. A few conventions of anime hentai (bondage, tentacles, etc) are mentioned, but not really explained or examined. It's just a bunch of "This happens a lot. I don't know why, but it does." comments. The reviews could be better organized too, with a list that takes you straight to the review you want or something. But at least there is a female out there commenting on hentai as a genre ^_^ I want to be part of the HenTai Kyoudai! ^_-
*ahem*
Tanzy is taking care of my nekotachi! Good! I feel better now ^_^
And now I am in Texas! Yup, I have traveled from San Francisco to Round Rock, Texas, a little city pressed up against the northern border of Austin. My parents live here, so I am visiting them. Ahh natsukashiiiiiiiii! I missed my home, things are so nice here compared to my cruddy SF apartment! Meanwhile, Tanzy is checking my nekotachi for me. Wah, I worry so much about Spike and Vicious! It's like they are my children :) *worryworry* Take good care of them Tanzy! Yes, it's Dec 4 (woo my niece Emily's 1st birthday!)and I haven't updated the layout for December niko-niko.net yet! I know, I am running late. I will try to do some work on it here from my parents house if I can, I don't know. It may not be put online until I get back home next week. Sorry for the delay! I like visiting my parents. They buy me stuff :D I went computer shopping with my dad today. I picked out the machine I want. It's even spiffier than I planned. I am going to get a 1Ghz computer *_* My main worry isn't paying for it. It's how I am going to get it HOME. With free shipping, I could have it sent directly to my apartment. But you wouldn't believe the problems I have getting mail at my apartment. People have called it a 'postal impairment'. If something can be lost, misdirected, delayed, or mangled, it will happen when mailed to me. People try to mail me stuff, and it bounces off my invisible postal barrier. Really! ^^;;; So, I think shipping to my apartment is not a good idea. Also, mailmen and UPS people NEVER know where my apartment is. Probably because my door that faces the street is only about shoulder-high. We call it the 'chibi-door'. Okay, I could have the computer mailed to my work. I have better luck getting stuff to my work. Ahh, but how will I get the machine home from work? I have no car, and most of my coworkers commute in on BART (public transit). Most of my friends don't have cars. Michi has one, but it's awfully small. I may actually have to rent a car to get the computer home in. Is this scary or what? ^^;;; I also bought some hazelnut coffee today. :D~~~~~ I LOVE all things hazelnut these days. (nutella!) but hazelnut coffee is becoming a serious addiction! I think I will make some after I finish this entry! Tomorrow I am going shopping with my mom. She wants to buy me clothes. I am not complaining! :D I like Texas in winter. In California, the seasons look pretty much the same. In summer the grass sometimes turn yellow and dry, but the trees are almost always a dark pine green. In California winter, the sky is overcast, but everything is still that dark green. In Texas, the summertime is a bright grass-green. But during teh winter, everything turns this kind of scary shade of dill brown and gray. All the grass is dormant, and gray. BUT! We do have some beautiful fall-colored trees. Right now in my parents neighborhood, we have a lot of bright orange and red trees, mixed with trees with no leaves. The sky is overcast, and it's very cold. But it really feels like 'winter' for me somehow. I know that real winter is probably snow and rain, but this dort of cold/chilly grayness is what I associate winter with. So I am at 'home' and feeling 'homesick' at the same time. I'd kind of like to take my old room back and stay :) I get along with my parents just fine (nope, never had any freaky dysfunctional problems with them like so many of my friends have. My parents and I have always gotten along just great ^_^) But I suppose it would kind of lame to be 26 and living at home still *sigh*. But this house is so large and warm and comfy! :P I'll just have to visit often! Arg, I am on vacation, why amd I checking my work email? Nooooooo! Resist!!!!!
Okay, time to go watch more DVDs on my dad's supper spiffy big TV and digital surround system in his 'Media Room' (which used to be *my* room, *sniff*)
# 1 Clover # 2 Gouhou Drug # 3 Tokyo Babylon # 4 X/1999 # 5 Card Captor Sakura # 6 Wish # 7 Chobbits # 8 RG Veda # 9 Suki dakara Suki # 10 CLAMP Campus Detectives # 11 Miyuki-chan in Wonderland # 12 20 Mensou ni Onegai # 13 Magic Knight Rayearth # 14 Angelic Layer # 15 CLAMP Campus Cop Dukylon # 16 Soryuuden Woooh, clover! Looks like most of the angsty ones are near the top of my list. How odd :P Then again, the main voice I have in my head is a surly CCD Souh voice who sits in the corner of my mind with a large sweatdrop permanently attached to his head, and an expression of "..." on his face ^_- I just realized that tomorrow is December 1st, and I have no plan for my Niko-niko December layout AT ALL. Ooops! Dang, November went by quickly! >_<
something I forgot to mention in my lost entry was that I got the new GLAY 2-CD best collection set: DRIVE. Wooo it is so spiffy! Almost all my favorite Glay songs in one place! *genkigenki* AND, the new U2 CD I ordered is waiting for me when I get to work tomorrow. I love good music! I need to do some Christmas shopping next week while I am in Texas! I have a list of some things I know I am getting people, but there are a few more SF Gumi people I am clueless about! Come on people, start talking about stuff you want. NOW! :P Ooh ooh, Steph told me what she was getting me for my birthday/christmas. Some Copic markers! I already have a custom-designed set of 72 Copics (I chose what the 72 colors would be instead of buying one of their pre-made sets) but when I made my set, for some reason I forgot to include some good purples! I have like *1* pale purplish color. Doh! So Steph is kindly solding that problem by getting me some purple markers! Wai! Wai! Thank you Steph! *shimmer* I feel the need to draw a bishounen now! Ruby: About that CDROM and magazine: ACK! How awful! I wonder if any of my skins are on there O_O Though I doubt it, my skins are pretty lame compared to all the new skinmaker's skins out there, I am so far behind on skinning too ^^ WAH! *rampage* I can't believe an actual magazine's CD had stolen skins on it >_<
Dammit, now I am looking at Trigun doujinshi. Bad Emi! No spend! I must go to sleep now!
Well I am proud of myself, I actually did a tiny update on my Cowboy Bebop page! I added realaudio files of the Music For Freelance CD, and updated the US DVD section. I am working on ANOTHER update, with info about the Bebop movie! Ack! Kristi! I am so sorry to read about what is happening with you! ;_; Ganbatte ne! (totally random thought again) That new animated feature 'The Emperor's New Groove' looks kind of scary. I don't know if I should chuckle or wince when I watch the ads. Random trivia: I actually have a listing for myself in the Internet Movie Database. I came across it a while back quite by surprise when looking through the database to see what famous people had the same birthday as me. How surprised I was to see ME listed in there ^_^
Random thought from the other day: *Bishounen Synchronized Swimming*
I need to get more Trigun. I am alarmingly behind on watching that series! And I DO like it a lot! Mel I didn't realize you were in San Francisco too! Cool ^_^ Isn't that crepe place next to Kino nice? I love the nutella crepes. (Then again, I like anything nutella or hazelnut-flavored!). That Oh Boy site looks cool, even if the site is in a damn popup window ^_- Continuing my streak as an artbook-ho, I special ordered another artbook from Kinokuniya the other day. But how could I resist! You Higuri FINALLY has an artbook now! I am so dying to see it! I LOVE her artwork! She has a way of drawing some bishounen that makes me melt! And wings! Wings are GOOD! I can't wait till I get this thing. Kino says it will take at least a month. Hey, just in time for Christmas! Woo hoo, UT beat the Aggies! HOOK-EM HORNS!!! m/ m/ 43-17, kickass! Muwahahah~ Heh, they are playing Ah-Ha's 'Take on Me' on the radio. All I can think now is that it sounds like my celphone ring (which is set to play part of this song when it rings ^_^) Ok, enough rambling, and back to procrastinating!
So, did all you US readers have a good Thanksgiving? Mine was pretty good. I wish I could have visited my parents for Thanksgiving, but the travel weekend and airfare costs are just too much for me. At least I get to go back to Austin for the first week of December! Thanks again to Tanzy for agreeing to take care of Spike and Vicious for me! I will be very worried about my poor nekotachi while I am gone! ^_^ I *Finally* got the Shinesman and Card Captor Sakura DVDs. Both are really good! I am still not sure about Kero-chan's "Konyanichi wa!" being translated as "Hey-Hey-Hoo!", but other than that, the CCS DVD rocks! I can't wait for the rest of them! But with 70 episodes total, I can tell this is gonna take a while... As for the Shinesman DVD, I actually liked the dub a lot! The dialog was really funny! The voices were strange, but the dialog made up for this. I need to write up my reviews for these DVDs soon! I am so genki, a local radio station, K101 (101.3FM, in San Francisco) has changed format so that they are now an all 80's music station. WAI! WAI! I have been listening to it all day and feeling nostalgic! ^_^ I love 80's songs, they bring back so memories! Of course it is also making me feel really old now, but then again, I always feel old!
Damn, I REALLY need to update the Random Shoujo Manga page.....
