Listening to: "Blue" live concert performance version from the Cowboy Bebop 'Future Blues' DVD

Ugh, dammit, my webhost for niko-niko has charged me another random $70+. WTF?? I can't afford this people! I am calling them tomorrow to see what the charge is for. It better not be another bandwidth charge, I haven't exceeded my limit for December... yet -_-. I am going to close down my bebop page temporarily until I can get this under control. This is really really sucking....

I was chatting with some friends on IRC, and we started talking about japanese live-action dramas again. Man, I used to be such a 'dorama' addict! I still would be if I had access to them. I wonder if there any places in the Austin area where I can rent dramas? I doubt it -_- Not that I can afford to rent any videos, but it would be nice to know for future reference. I now feel like watching some of the dramas that I have on tape, since I can't rent any new ones. However most of my dramas are somewhere in the boxes of tapes I have in the garage -_- Do I really want to go digging through all those boxes to find my few dramas? Well, I can't do that now at any rate, it's 2:40am, and I'd wake people up. Maybe I can find some fansubber type place that distros dramas ^_^ I still need to get the subbed ending of Long Vacation, since the person I got the tapes from before sent me a set that was missing the last 10 minutes of the last episode. HOW CRUEL! ^_^;. Bleh. J-dramas on VCD is another option I guess. Those usually have chinese subs and are probably bootlegged though. Feh.

I'm still feeling restless and bleh and listless. And now I feel a bit worse after seeing that I have even less money than I thought, thanks to my webhost. -_- Tooooo many bills!

Oh, and I DO have a job now. But the pay is very crappy (like 1/3 of what I was making before) and it doesn't start till mid-january. Then it starts off with 6 weeks of training. The first 90 days of the job require PERFECT attendance, so there is no hope of my somehow making it to Fanime or Acen or anything -_- (not that I could even remotely afford those anyway). *sigh* life is sucking. I'm still looking for work. I may find something better before that other job starts.

Listening to: "Destiny" by My Little Lover

Boredboredboredbored. Argghhh. I am restless and bored, but I can't motivate myself to do anything today -_- I did some chores and such, but other than that, all I feel like doing is being a slug ^_^

I HAVE been drawing more on that oekaki board I was obsessed with recently. If anyone cares, here are all my drawings from the board. Whee, fun. I am getting better at drawing with a mouse :D

Bleh, I'm tired of all these reruns on tv. Alias tonight looks like it's gonna be a good one. I like that show, even though it gets cheezy at times. And hey, it's not into reruns... yet.... This week's Buffy is going to be the quiet Buffy's Mom is Dead episode. That was a great ep, if totally depressing. ah well, I think I'll go read now or something.. I dunno...

*wobbles off*

Listening to: "Mad About You" by Sting

Wah, I want some of these!. Are they too gothy? I have no idea, but I think they look cool XD I want to draw some characters wearing them XD

I'm in a random celtic mood right now. I find myself eying celtic jewelry and crosses and knotwork. I love the knotwork, I am working on learning how to draw it :) My mom wants a celtic knotwork-style silver ring. I'd like to find her one. She is into that sort of stuff too. Maybe it's because we're Irish or something XD Ahh, looking at these rings is so depressing! Wah, I want one! Why are they so expensive? ;_;

Listening to: "Hey Baby" by No Doubt. (I'm not much of a No Doubt fan, but, I keep humming the damn chorus O_O)

Blog surfing....

Selene, Yeah, I have had various Strange Candy-related things for sale for a long time now :) All the stores can be found via the 'buy stuff' link. ^_^ I love the coffee mugs. I have a got wings mug, and an eri-chan mug. I really want a catboys mug and a beauty man garden mug, but I am too broke to buy my own merchandise XD As for profit, cafepress has a base price that you have to charge for everything (from which you get no money whatsoever if you sell anything) and then you add money to that price for how much profit you want to make. So for example, if the base price for some item is $10, I get nothing if I charge that much for it. But I can decide to sell it for $13, and make $3 profit for each item sold. For all the OO stuff, I only make about $2 per item. Of course, no one buys OO stuff anyway (well, very few people. like 4 shirts in the past 6 months? which is nothing compared to some super popular site like Megatokyo where they must sell 6 shirts every minute ^_^) And cafepress doesn't send you your check until you have amassed a certain amount of $ in profit. I guess they don't want to keep sending out checks for $3 or something :) I think in a year, I have had 2 checks for like $14 each. So I'm not making much money on the site. But I love desiging shirts and stuff anyway :) And setting up the stores is free, so you never know! Maybe someday someone will buy something XD I did see someone at YaoiCon wearing a Got Wings? shirt. Shocked the heck out of me! :)

I came across This blog today. Wah, nice layout. Takeshi Kaneshiro layout~ *_* He is of my favorite HK/J-drama actors. And not just because of his movie, 'Lavender' where he plays a winged fallen angel. XD I named one of the characters in OO after him :) No one seems to have noticed that though, or at least, no one has commented about it to me. You'd think "Takeshi Shirokane" would be somewhat obvious XD

*sigh* I get a couple thousand hits to my web comic each day, yet I get maybe one email about the comic every few weeks, and the forum only has like 6 regulars. And like I said before, no one buys the stuff. I think the only things that keep me actually doing the comic are the comments in the guestbook (when it works -_-;) and looking through hit referrals to see where people have linked to the comic from. Otherwise, I'd really have no idea if the comic was actually being READ ^^; Sure I can see hits on my counter, but counters can never be completely trusted, and seeing that people have linked it makes me feel like someone out there reads it ^_^

Okay, I am babbling now, sorry for the comic-centric post O_O lots of random blogging from me today o.o

Listening to: Hellsing OST, track 3

*yawn* Wow, I'm awake early.

Lets see, if anyone cares, I am selling my extra copy of the Cowboy Bebop Movie - Future Blues - Limited Edition CD on Ebay. This is the Limited edition of the Knockin on Heaven's Door soundtrack that comes with the Cowgirl ED OST bonus disc. This is a legit Japanese CD, not some Son May or Ever Anime CD, and it is brand new, sealed, unopened. (I ended up buying 2 copies of this CD when CD Japan was slow to ship my original order, and I saw the limited edition for sale at Kinokuniya... so I ended up with 2 of them ^_^;)

Listening to: "Ultra Relax" from Kodomo no Omocha

Bored, Bored, Bored.

Nothing much happening, as usual. I went to apply for this one customer service/phone support job (not the one at Dell) and filled out an application and had a brief interview. This place is hiring full-time with lots of hours, but man, the pay is really really low. It's super depressing. But there is also paid commission for upselling some things, so there is opportunity to get some more money. Considering that I am bringing in $0/hour right now, anything is better. Taking this job, should I get it doesn't mean I have to stop looking for something better :) I have another interview with them on Monday. Oh joy.

I can't wait to have enough money to move out! Living with my parents is slowly starting to get on my nerves. I worked out ways I do things when I was living alone for 4 years, it's tough to go back and start doing things my parents way. And the fact that I feel like a little kid still living here. Argh, must get out again soon! The nice thing about Austin is that it's so cheap. In San Francisco, a decent 1-bedroom apartment can be anywhere from $1200-1800 a month! Incredible, isn't it?? While here you can get a 3-bedroom place with a garage for that much XD Not that I would ever have that much money for an apartment, but that just means that 1-bedroom places are super cheap here XD I can get a really nice 1-bedroom apartment with the fun stuff like dish washer, W/D hookups, etc for less that I was paying for my tiny studio apartment in San Francisco. Of course, Austin lacks a Kinokuniya. *sigh*

I got down to drawing again, and came up with two more designs for Strange Candy T-shirts. My personal favorite is the eagerly awaited Official Beauty Man Garden T-Shirt featuring one of the many bishounen waiters that work there, and the classic Engrish Restaurant ad slogan, "We Pleasure You With Our Service!" hee! Like I say on OO, I seriously doubt anyone would have the nerve to wear that in public, unless it was to a convention or something, but I couldn't resist making the shirt anyway :D

Yay, someone is making a copy of the Hellsing OST for me. W00t! I look forward to buying the actual CD as soon as I have money again (I love the pretty booklets and things :P) but this copy will do nicely!

Which reminds me, tomorrow is the last Anime Club meeting for the fall semester at UT. How sad ;_; I like Anime Club, even if I'm not in charge anymore :)

I am shocked at how long it's been since I changed any of my page layouts. Argh, must stop procrastinating.... tomorrow.

Listening to: "Read or Die no Theme - long version" Yeah, the Read or Die opening song. W00t!

Well, my birthday has come and gone. And as expected, nothing new or unusual happened. In fact, the only really notable thing about my birthday was when I logged into the IGN anime boards to do some moderating, I found that I had been demodded for lack of mod activity. This is silly, since I got there to mod all the time, it's not my fault if the people posting all behave themselves and give me nothing TO moderate. *sigh*

HEY! don't change your blog layout! I like your current one! I'm not biased because it's another HanaKimi layout, really! :P Thanks for the link to my Random Shoujo Manga Page and OO.

Kristi, that Slap to the Head page is pretty funny. I'm amazed that you can take the criticism so well. I better do my best to keep my own fics away from them, I am so horrible at taking criticism, even when it's harmless, non-personal constructive criticism. It's one thing for ME to know my fics are bad and cheesy, it's another for strangers to bash me for it. I guess that might be why I don't write much any more. I never read fanfics anyway though, I can never really get into anything that isn't canon, no matter how well-written it is. I'm shocked to see them review a Good Omens fic. I never even realized that there would be Good Omens fic. I love that book so much. It boggles my mind that it never occured to me that people would slash Crowley and Aziraphale. Perhaps it's because I was in my main book-worship mode for that book before I was really into yaoi/slash or something. I guess I can kind of see it... I think... eh... -_-

Tomorrow morning (er, in a few hours O_o) on Good Morning America, they are going to reveal whatever that IT thing is supposed to be. They are really hyping it as being the next greatest invention since the lightbulb or something. Apparently it's going to be some sort of vehicle or something? I saw a picture of someone standing on this scooter thing that has 2 wheels. It looks pretty interesting. I guess I'll force myself to get up and watch the show to see what all the fuss is about.

OOh, apparently the PitaTen manga volume 4 is out now. I got 1-3 a few months ago in Japan. I need volume 4! I must give in to the cuteness! Cash, I need cash! I shall pester Dell till they hire me! :D

I guess I should go to sleep now if I want to have a remote chance of waking up to watch Good Morning America. Good Night!

Listening to: "Hey Jude" by The Beatles

Woo hoo. Happy Birthday to me, Happy Birthday to me. Well, so now I am officially 27. How depressing ^_^; And once again I haven't been blogging because I simply haven't had much to blog about. There is only so much excitement to be found in sleeping in, dieting, and job hunting. I'm flat broke, so I can't really afford anything. It got to the point where I had to scrounge around and do housework to earn some money for some paper to drawm my comic with. Man, I'm too old for this stuff. I feel like I'm 17, not 27. I think I had more money when I was 17 than I do now. Pretty pathetic. See why I don't blog? I just end up whining ^_^ No one wants to read a bunch of whining.

My last purchase that I made when I had money arrived the other day- The Read or Die soundtrack. It's pretty nice. The first pressing comes with a cute Yomiko trading card. I love the music, especially the long version of the opening song. It's pretty kickass. It's a good CD to play in my car.

I don't really have anything planned for today. My parents bought me that used car when I moved here, which is being considered my birthday present (and I LOVE my car, so no complaints there :) and we're all on a much needed diet, so there's no birthday cake or dinner or anything. I think I'll probably spend the day being lazy as usual. Not a bad thing, really. This year I'm helping my mom make some Christmas ornaments for our little tree. That's pretty fun, since I haven't been home for Christmas in a few years. We're making a cat tree this year, so along with the normal lights and glass ornaments, my mom and I are making these little cats out of clay. You mold them, bake them, and paint them. They are actually turning out really cute. Right now we have about 15 little cats in the tree. I think we need 8 more, and then we'll be done. I have painted ornaments to look like Spike-neko and Vicious-neko ^_^

I haven't been motivated to do much work on any of my web pages. All that business with Cowboy Bebop has had me doing minor updates and changes there, but not much anywhere else. I really need to get motivated again. I noticed that my HanaKimi page was mentioned in the current 'Last Exit' column on the turnpike. I don't know whether to be happy to be mentioned, mad at myself because the page isn't current even though it's like my favorite manga out there, or worried that more traffic to that site will just cause more bandwidth problems that I can't afford. *sigh*

I HAVE been addicted to drawing random things on BlackCat and Meo24's Oekaki Board. I spend way too much time drawing random pointy-eared people. Oh, and I am also hooked (more than usual) on all the TV show summaries on Mighty Big TV. I love their reviews of Smallville, Buffy, Angel, and Enterprise. I am currently reading summaries for other shows I never follow, like Gillmore Girls. I like the sense of humor in all the reviews. I giggle a lot at them :)

Oh, and I did it. I sold some manga at the local anime club the other day. It was heartbreaking but neccessary. Now I have enough money to pay a few old bills. But I had to part with my Greenwood and Dragon Half manga! *cry* Oh it was rough! BUT! *flames burst behind me for a dramatic backdrop* I KNOW I shall recover! I shall have money again and will get more manga! Yes, I will! *burns with determination* and then I can oogle about 'new this' and 'ooh have you seen that' along with everyone else. I have faith! *nods*

Blog surfing~ I have a lot to catch up on...

Thank you for linking to my blog :) I don't think I mention it on this blog, but my layout features Shin and Izumi Sano from the manga 'Hanazakari no Kimitachi e' I like your Yami no Matsuei layout, that is one of my favorite images from it. Oh, and I agree with you about preferring to sit in a cubicle and stare at code over doing something like tech support. I am so NOT a people person, I would much rather sit alone in my cubicle with a mug of tea or something, and have stuff to do and work steadily all day to get it done. I am NOT happy about having to apply for stuff like the support job at Dell. I tend to get surly and impatient with people. Of course with my luck, I won't get that job either -_-

Thank you for linking to me also. Man, it has been a long time since I surfed anything (much less blogs) with Netscape. It was fun watching them warp and and turn into mutated blobby misshapen messes in Netscape, but I'm afraid I have fallen out of that good habit, and I'm sure all my layouts (especially the ones at niko-niko all do the same thing on Netscape now. My new computer actually doesn't have Netscape on it anymore. I used to have to test everything on every browser at work, and got into the habit of doing that at home, but since being laid off, I haven't done that. Ah how depressing! But I really don't want to put Netscape on this machine... I used to love Netscape, but now I hate it.... that is a really odd search string. But I guess it's better than some of the strange fetish searches that land people at my blog.

Oh, and if anyone was curious,

Take the Affliction Test here
Now isn't that comforting? XD XD

Augh, I'm reading blogs, and everyone is talking about this show or that >_< I'm feeling very isolated again ^_^ Today is a big self-pity day, I need to snap out of it ^_^ I have two more anime/manga type things coming that I ordered back when I ad money, but after that I will be totally cut off. My connection is too slow here to download anything. ;_; The frustrating part is that I know where I can download a whole bunch of new anime, but I don't have the connection for it >_< Anyway, the things I have coming are- 'Listen or Die', the Read or Die OST. I love the music for R.O.D! The CD should arrive in a few days. Then a while back I ordered some random shoujo manga from Amazon Japan and had it shipped to my friend in Japan (free shipping within Japan on Amazon Japan at the time) and she is having her bf bring the manga to the US after he visits her, and he'll mail it to me here ^_^; such a roundabout way to save on shipping costs ^_^ I think I ordered 5 tankoubon. 2 of them are volumes of Yuuwaku Healing XD XD can't resist that smutty shoujo love triangle story about the 16 year old girl, her 16 year old boyfriend, and his *27* year old dad ^_^ (man, that is SO messed up!) I'm a sucker for smutty shoujo manga...

I'm finally doing it! I'm gathering stuff to sell! First I'll try selling stuff to people in the local anime club, so I don't have to go to the effort of making ebay listings. I need money, so wish me luck....

I'm so random today... must get GENKI!

Listening to: "12 Days of Christmas" as sung by John Denver and the Muppets

Bleh, it's been a while since I blogged! I have a bad habit of lapsing into silence. I guess it's because I am not doing anything interesting -_- I've been applying to lots of jobs, but I haven't heard anything yet. It's getting REALLY depressing. I have been so depressed the last few weeks. I feel pressure and I worry about my bills, and I feel bad for not working, ugh, I hate this! I feel restless and upset and lonely. Bleh ^^; I miss SF.

I had to take down the music files from my Cowboy Bebop page. Ever since the show started airing on Cartoon Network, Everyone has been going to my page and listening to the music files. It's causing me major bandwidth problems. I just got a lovely $80 bill for exceeding my limit. I am so broke, this is seriously gonna kill me. I had to take down those files ASAP. Can't afford any more bills like that -_-

Did everyone have a good Thanksgiving? I must say that despite all the random suckiness I have been feeling lately, I did have a good, relaxed Thanksgiving. It's nice to be home. It beats sitting in my old apartment all alone eating macaroni and cheese like last year. This year I watched the Macy's parade on TV, sat down with my dad and watched the original version of 'Miracle on 34th Street' which has been our little Thanksgiving day tradition for as long as I can remember, and then I had a nice Turkey dinner. No, nothing to complain about for Thanksgiving. I'm thankful for that :) I should stop feeling so depressed @_@

I know I'm a little late to comment on it, but I saw the Harry Potter movie (opening day, first showing in the morning) and I enjoyed it. Yes, there were things missing, and some confusing things for people who haven't read the books, but all in all, I think they did a fantastic job on the movie. I think they did the best possible job they could, and I look forward to the next movie. And I'll gladly hop on the bandwagon and agree that I instantly said 'ooh my, cute...' when I saw Oliver Wood in the movie XD *cough* heh at least I don't feel quite that bad thinking he's cute. The actor's 18, legal! Well, ok, I thought Daniel was really cute as Harry too ^^ But I shall not dwell on that, seeing as I will be turning 27 in 9 days *cough cough cough*

I wish I could afford to get presents for people this year. but I am so broke. My bank account is negative, and I can't even afford catfood for Spike and Vicious anymore. Oof. Now I am back to freeloading again, I hate that. I really hope I get a call back from Dell. My dad works at Dell, and I applied for this crappy inbound customer service job that has entirely too many hours and way too little pay, but I am not in any position to be picky right now. I want to scrape together enough money to get my mom this set of books she wants. It's this set of really old children's books called "A Picturesque Tales of Progress" by Olive Beaupre Miller. They were published (in various editions) from the 1930s to the 1960's I think/ They match another set of books we already have, the "My Bookhouse" books of classic stories and fairytales, also edited by Ms. Miller. Our set of those is from 1948. The books are filled with beautiful old illustrations and really nice stories about everything from fairy tales to knights in shining armor, to japanese folktales, to... well, everything. the "Picturesque Tales of Progress" set is published by the same people that did My Book House, and they are also beautifully illustrated. From what we can tell, the books are a collection of stories of world history. I really want this set, but so far all the sets of them I find on ebay are too expensive for me >_< I'll keep trying though!

In my last entry, I mentioned that I came up with a drawing for the Monthly Anime Gaijin fanat contest thingy. Well, yes, I did complete a picture that I liked enough to enter. However, I, for some reason, couldn't color it! I don't know why, I never have problems coloring stuff. But I was just not happy with anything I came up with. And then my area was hit by tornadoes and lightning and thunder and power failures, and I couldn't get online to submit my piece, and I missed the entry deadline. *sigh* figures. Anyway, if anyone cares, I've linked the black and white inked version of the picture below. It's the one on the far left. The other picture is a naughty drawing of my catboys from my online comic. *ahem* if you con't like catboys being extra friendly to each other, avoid looking at that one XD

Listening to: "Pop Goes the World" by Men Without Hats

Well, today I looked at the Monthly Anime Gaijin page for the first time in ages to see what the current character to draw is. I liked one of the characters, and I actually drew a picture of one that I like enough to enter into the contest. How shocking! Right now I have a decent pencil rough done. Next I'll be inking, and then coloring with Photoshop.

Of course, it's difficult to draw when I look at sites like this. I'll just die of artistic envy now! Damn, I wish I could draw/color like that! How do people DO that?? Wah, I'm so jealous and depressed ^^;;; Such pretty art! *_* *_*

Listening to: "The Chain" by Fleetwood Mac
Wah, I hate being broke! Anyone wanna get me the Shurei Kouyu Portfolio for my birthday? ^_^;;; *sniffle* *eyes the nikaku.com catalog* I need to stop looking at this stuff, it's torture >_<

Okay, my manga list is nearly complete now, yay. I need to upload the updated version soon. w00t! I really should try to thin out my manga collection and sell some stuff and perhaps raise money to buy things like that art portfolio, but I am so horribly attached to all my manga >_< I used to have this massive collection of Transofrmer toys from when I was little, and one year I sold all of them to finance a trip to Project A-kon, and ever since, I have been regretting my decision. I hate that feeling >_< I love artbooks though. I love to stare at all the pieces and try to see how the artists did each one- what materials, etc. Being an artist, I am envious of all the works in the books, but I also want to learn from them *_*

Tomorrow is another anime club meeting, yay yay. I think before the meeting I shall attempt to go to one of the few boba tea places here. (Er what is it they call it here, 'Bubble Tea'?) After living in San Francisco, where you can find boba milk tea being sold all over the place (I had 2 places on my block alone that sold it) I developed quite a fondness for it. I am really missing it now, so I am preparing to make the trek to one of teh places here that sells it. I am glad there is a tea place here at all! It gives me hope that maybe someday other things will open here too.... like a Kinokuniya... yeah right, wishful thinking, that ^_^

I have been looking at the local community college catalog for classes I might try taking for the spring 02 semester. I'd rather go back to UT's extended/continuing education program, but it's too expensive. I could take 4 classes at ACC for teh cost of ONE class at UT. *sigh* It looks like I'll be getting some sort of generic office-type job during the day, and then going to school at night. I just need to decide what program of classes I want to take. There are several things I am interested in- computer programming (I learned a little bit of a lot of things from my web production designer job at snowball.com, but I am not an expert at any one skill, this would strengthen those skills), Engineering graphics (like computer-aided drafting, etc. I have always had some interest in that), Computer Graphics Design (this is a set of courses that teach computer animation, 3d modelling, etc. Sounds the most fun, personally, but it would probably be difficult to find a job in that field). Ahh, decisions, decisions. Regardless of what I choose, it will be an interesting departure from what I already have my Bachelor's Degree in- Advertising ^_^;;

I better enjoy my boring life now, because it looks like with work and school in January, I'll be quite busy. It's kind of nice to have something to look forward to. I am a lazy person, I admit it, but even I am getting a bit restless at having been unemployed for *7* months now! Good grief! Even if it isn't a 'career' type job I'll be getting, at least it will being some money in so I can continue to pay my bills AND get an artbook or 2 *grin*

Man, I really do want that Shurei Kouyu Portfolio collection though. I saw it in Japan and didn't get it, and now I am really regretting that too ^_^;; My birthday is December 2nd.... *wink* Good lord, I'll be 27. How can I possibly be 27?? Where did the time go? How did I get so old? ^_^ I get so many random Instant messages from people who like some webpage I have made, or whatever, and they all ask how old I am, and when I tell them, they ALWAYS say something like "damn u r old!". Of course, they are usually 14 or 15 ^_^ I can usually guess the age of the person randomly Instant Messaging me by what they say to me in greeting. Lack of complete sentences or complete spelling of words ("u" "r" "y") etc) is a big tip-off that they are probably 14-18 years old ^_^;;;

Okay, enough whining and wallowing and wobbling around. I should go get some sleep!

Ah hah! I KNEW it! A little more digging through the piles of moving boxes in my garage revealed another entire box full of manga that I have yet to unpack! hohoh! That's at least 100 more tankoubon to add to my list @_@ Oof, will the data-entry never end? :)

Oh, I noticed that Shogakukan has some pretty sho-comi wallpapers available for free download on their site this month. I like these better than the last batch they had up :D

Listening to: Nothing... but I have the snippets of the songs from the Buffy Musical episode that they have been playing during the promos for it running through my head @_@

Well, THIS is my manga collection list so far. However it is still incomplete, and it needs some editing for typos and incorrect entries. I KNOW that it is not complete yet, I can see several spots where I know I have tankoubon that I don't see listed on there. There HAS to be another box of manga in my garage somewhere. I think I will go look for it now. I hate seeing the list and seeing volumes I know I have not reflected on there! Wah!

Listening to: "Adeiu" from Cowboy Bebop OST 3 "Blue"

A couple more scary blog referrals on my hit tracker....

  • "Japanese elementary school boys wear tight shorts shorts wow!"
  • "adult cg links puny co co"
  • random interesting link. I made myself a lipstick-wearing, star spangled tights wearing blue-haired bishounen with a tail and a sailor hat. Scary~~~ :P

    Well lets see, I haven't done much. I saw Monsters, Inc. on Friday, and I liked it a lot. Very cute! I am pondering going back to see it again sometime in a couple of weeks when they add the outtake reel like they did at the end of Bugslife and Toy Story. They are making one for Monsters Inc. but it's not on there yet. Very funny movie! And the last moment of the movie was so adorable! Awww! ^_^ I want a plush Sully now toooooooo~. I looked in the ending credits for the name of my friend who works at Pixar, but I didn't see it. He assures me it's there, so I'll have to look again ^_^

    Friday night I went to another Anime Club meeting. I am glad they are showing Boogiepop Phantom. I really like this show! I am glad to see it being shown to the big crowd. I am sad that the Slam Dunk tape didn't work very well, because I actually relaly like that show and wanted to see what the crowd's reaction to it would be. I didn't think I would like Slam Dunk because it's another sports anime, and the character designs are sort of scary, but it really is incredibly funny XD XD People should give it a chance ^_^ They did show Hellsing episode 1 subbed, which was nice. I like Hellsing a lot. I have the manga, and I was happy when they announced the anime for it. It's sort of like Vampire Hunter D crossed with Trigun.

    I was a slug for most of yesterday and today. I think I have finished entering in most of my manga into that list I was making finally. It looks like my guesstimate of how many tankoubon I have was somewhat accurate. I seem to have about 1200 volumes. I was hoping I would have more, but it doesn't look like. Then again, I need to rummage through all the boxes in my garage to make sure I didn't miss any more manga boxes.

    So I saw the Episode II trailer before Monsters Inc. It looks somewhat interesting, but I think 'Attack of the Clones' is a really stupid title. Sounds like a bad B movie that you should go see at a drive-in. (of course I remember seeing Empire Strikes Back at a drive-in when it originally was released. /random) Maybe they'll change the name... I remember before Return of the Jedi came out, they were calling it Revenge of the Jedi for a while. (My friend had a big Revenge of the Jedi poster on her wall at the time. I spent a long time wondering if I hallucinated the idea about the original name, but later realized my memory was correct ^^) Anyway, Anakin and Amidala look all pretty and smoochy, and Yoda looked really pissed off. Ah, such a long wait till the actual movie comes out...

    I already purchased my ticket to go see Harry Potter on opening day. Ahh the wonders of advance ticket sales and fandango.com. It's kind of scary that they have been selling tickets 2 weeks before the film opens, but then again, I'm one of the freaks who went ahead and purchased her ticket already XD I can't wait!

    I think I'll go do some more blog-surfing....

    Listening to: "Beautiful Day" by U2

    La La La, working on OO right now. Not quite as much drawing in this one, thank goodness! @_@

    Well, we actually had fewer kids at our door this halloween than we usually do. At least, that is what my mom tells me. Most of the costumes were cute :D Only one set of obnoxious, 'too-old-to-be-trick-or-treating' kids. Not bad ^^ I wish my parents wouldn't hide/give away the extra candy though, I haven't even had one piece! wah ;_;

    I added a couple more blog links to my list there. One is a link to Lyn's blog, which I linked already in my previous entry, the other is Kee's blog, which has a really cool One Piece layout. I am not a huge One Piece fan, but that is a really pretty layout. I like the colors! I need to link more blogs! So many interesting ones out there! I think I will do more blog surfing when I finish the comic. I am really sorry about all the typos in my blog entries! I am such a bad typist ;_;

    Oh! I almost forgot! Happy Birthday to the wonderfully ecchi Umeda-sensei from HanaKimi. I can just imagine how he must celebrate his birthday XD XD

    Listening to: "Goodnight Julia" from Cowgirl ED OST, Future Blues OST Bonus CD

    Happy Halloween y'all! Anyone planning on doing fun stuff? My night will be pretty boring. It's kind of depressing that I have graduated from Trick-o-treater to candy-giver. But I'll be staying home and handing out candy to the hordes of little kids that go around this neighborhood. I am expecting it be really busy. My neighborhood here is somewhat secluded, very manicured (lawns, etc) and almost everyone has Halloween decorations out. All the little kids in the neighborhood will be out. This is opposed to my neighborhood in San Francisco, where I lived on a rather busy street, and there really weren't any kids trick-or-treating. Not quite safe ^_^

    I've been doing a little blog-surfing, and I am seeing more Cowboy Bebop layouts. That's pretty cool :) The recent release of the movie and the airing of the series on Cartoon Network have really sparked interest in the show again. I am glad about that, though I STILL feel like Bandai should hire me to be the Official Cowboy Bebop Spokesperson about the show, judging from all the emails and Instant messages people have been flooding me with about the show. I have been fielding all sorts of questions, from soundtrack info (what songs play in what episodes, etc) to plot info, character backgrounds, merchandising info, etc. I made a FAQ on my Bebop page in order to handle the questions, but a lot of people don't see teh FAQ, or still manage to ask me new stuff. It's exhausting @_@. hey Bandai, are you out there? Hire me :P I still have that extra copy of Cowboy Bebop movie OST - Future Blues (limited edition) that I need to sell. That is, if I can find it in one of my moving boxes. I have my copy here, but my extra copy has yet to be unpacked. I preordered the Cowboy Bebop - Future Blues DVD, which comes out soon. I can't wait to get it. Part of it was filmed at the Seatbelts concert in Shibuya on Aug 10. Man, I was in Tokyo on Aug 10, and I tried to get tickets to the concert, but it sold out in nanoseconds. How depressing is that?! At least I'll see part of it on this DVD. I also ordered the artbook for the movie. I wonder how many years it will take to arrive. I never get things when they are released, even if I pre-order them. I have such bad luck that way. At least instead of going to the concert on Aug 10, I was at Comiket, which was pretty fun. Anyway, some of the blogs with Bebop layouts are Ashley and Selene.

    Oh, Kristen, I like your new layout at genki :D I really like Glass no Kamen, even though I haven't seen/read much. I have volume 1 of the bunko edition of the manga, and I have seen a couple OAVS, 4 episodes of the anime TV series, and the 2 live action j-drama series for it, but when there are 40+ tankoubon of manga for it, I am still far behind on it :D Someday when I am rich and famous I'll get the rest ^_-

    I also really like Shiori's blog layout. You can never have too many catboys! They are always a welcome sight, especially the surly ones XD XD

    And this blog layout is nice too. So colorful and genki! I like!

    Continuing my manga-cataloging project- progress is slow because I keep stopping to look at all my manga and re-read parts of it XD I am trying to arrange all the tankoubon on my shelves in some sort of order, but it's tough. I have 4 bookcases and they will all be full before I am done. I have things seperated mainly by publisher. And for oversized stuff or larger tankoubon like Asuka DX stuff, I have separate shelves. I also have some of my phonebook magazines on the shelves, but I will probably have to remove them to fill the space in with tankoubon. Man, a nice thing about having so much manga (as opposed to the annoying things like trying to MOVE it all) is that I forget I have a lot of things ^_^;;; Soe when I go through all of this, some of it is like finding new manga, because I have forgotten it entirely :) Then again, is forgetting it a good sign for how good a manga is? Uh oh ^_^ I'll blame it on being lost in the crowd of volumes. It's also amusing to see how much random manga I have that I bought so long ago, and it was later animated and has become very popular. It's kind of nifty to become interested in something and then realize- hey, I already have the manga for that! ^_^;;;

    (Random) What is up with all these French people suddenly sending me instant messages on AOL? I've had like 4 French people try to IM me in the last 2 days. I'm sorry, I don't speak very much French ^_^;;

    Woah, this was a long and rambling post. Hooray for me!

    Listening to: "Blue" from Cowboy Bebop OST 3 "BLUE"

    There, I updated my blog layout. I hope this works okay. I have no idea if anyone else has used these images for a blog yet, but I really liked them, so I went ahead and did it. I have always meant to do a HanaKimi layout eventually, so here it is :) I really need to go blog surfing soon. I am way behind on what everyone else is up to, and I am sure there are a bunch of nice and pretty new layouts to go look at :) Does this one look okay? I was thinking that it might be too dark, but I am not sure. For some reason, my entry text is not showing up at the top of the page. The table cel with the 'Copacetic' title image up there is stretching too tall. Hmm I wonder what could be causing that. I should know this, and investigate, but I am feeling somewhat lazy ^_^;; I'll poke around later.

    As I have said previously, there is not a whole lot going on here. I am a bit happier than I was earlier today. I finally got an email from Hooloo saying they have shipped my order of the complete VCD set of Meteor Garden, the live action version of Hana Yori Dango that was made into a TV series in Taiwan. Of course, the series is in Mandarin, and I don't know a word of Mandarin, so I will be going by my knowledge of HYD anime and manga to figure out what is going on ^_^;;; I know that some group is digi-subbing the series now, but last time I checked, the file size was so huge that there was no way I could ever download it on my pathetic dial-up connection. Why won't my parents get DSL? WHY! WHY?! wahhhh *scream*

    I watched 'Buffy', 'Smallville', and 'It's the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown' on TV tonight. Buffy was pretty good, I guess. I think I liked previous Halloween episodes better, but this episode had some funny lines. Right now my vote for the season's Big Bad is Willow. She is getting really evil with her heavy use of power. If she isn't the Big Bad (and I really hope those geeks aren't it) then she will probably get pretty mean for a while anyway. I am also in the camp that thinks Tara will probably die this season. Some people thing that Tara will die somehow, and that will cause Willow to go all psycho. I am kind of thinking it might be interesting of Willow's constant use of magic and her over-confidence in her abilities is the thing that kills Tara during some spell mis-hap(after she has been giving Willow all these warnings about using her magic) and that causes Willow to stop using magic altogether or cures her of her overconfidence. I dunno, it's possible :P I am liking all the Spike x Buffy moments. I like them together :P Maybe Spike will be the Big Bad again. He still has that chip in his head, right? Maybe that will come out... Okay, I have been speculating about Buffy for way too long...

    I love 'It's the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown!' I can practically recite that entire show from memory :) It was a bit strange to see it on ABC this year instead of CBS. I mean, it's ALWAYS on CBS and is sponsored by Dolly Madison, or whatever. Pretty odd, but great cartoon!

    Arggh! This radio station I am listening to is driving me crazy! I have to stop listening to it for long periods of time because they repeat the same few songs over and over and over again -_- But most of my CDs are in my car ... -_- Which reminds me. I still need to think of a name for my car. It's a dark green/sage green Mazda Protege. My last car was a crappy, falling-apart blue Geo Metro named the "Soyokaze" (after another crappy, falling-apart blue vehicle). But my poor Soyokaze did last me 7+ years, which is pretty amazing for a Geo Metro :) I am having a hard time thinking of anything fitting for my new car. I guess I need to get to know it's 'personality' a bit more XD

    Man, this post has been pretty pointless. I need to get out more XD
