EFS: a prologue / chapter 1 Monica | Monday, August 20, 2007 The meeting was dumb. Blah blah don't go out alone, always lock your rooms. Kthnx. Then I got a turkey sandwich from that place. Eh. I should have been more prepared to go here. Ok. This week made me realize I am dumb. Dumb! Necessary Shiz (That Monz forgot) - Socks - Paper - Pencils - Tape- - Tacks Hangers - Tall Storage (when mother comes back so she can drive me) - Chair Cushion - Pre-made sandwiches - Bottled water / Brita filter - Waterproof bag. I'm going to die a horrible death. By meningitis. ------ Next Day... Finished first day of class. It turns out that I have to buy one of those expensive headphones, like BOSE. Eh. Also, walking back to the dorms, I met up wit one of my classmates and she's going to Target to get hers. So I will follow suit. In class, we did some experiments, like have someone sit in the middle of the classroom and we'd all surround them and make noises, and see if they can pinpoint our location. Anyway, I'm in my dorm now and I think my next-door-neighbor is listening to the Rolling Stones. TURN THAT DOWN! Oh, and I took a shower lst night at 10-ish. And when I got out, I overheard another girl tell her friend: "That is the most uncomfortable shower I've ever had in my life." True that, sister! The edges of the curtains were slightly open and I kept trying to close it and cover myself at the same time. And it's effing dark. Usually my showers I can see where my soap is. Also, I need a bigger container for my shower things. Also, my roommate must have experience with this because she brought a sling bag to put her clothes in. All I had was my backpack. So, I think I'll add to that list: a waterproof bag. Also, I did not know where to change. I didn't want to walk all the way back to my room down that long-ass corridor, naked and only covered by a soping wet robe. Ehff no. So I changed in the shower because I was still wet from the steam. Ehhhhhhhghhhh. So... I have to practice or something. Also, it's raining and I did not pack for rainy season. Oh, Seattle, why must you torture me so! I'll probably just wait until I go back home to get my hobo jacket, orget a cheap one at target. I also need more pillows, the egg-shell thing so I can use my blue blanket... And maybe ear muffs because them buses are annoying. That's all for now. Um... I've got this person's limewire on my iTunes. And I've got to say that this kid needs to get out or something. And I quote: "Look At This Porno". I'm living with creeps. ![]() ![]() Dinner and a Show Misha | Saturday, August 18, 2007 No one writes in here. Meh. In stupid court. Monica | Friday, July 20, 2007 So. Wrock. Dunno if any of you have heard of that phrasing of it, but just for clarification and education into my world, I will tell you that it stands for: WIZARD ROCK. Now, we've all heard of Harry and the Potters, the second band I've ever heard an HP song from (Switchblade Kittens being the first) and who have jumpstarted the whole WROCK. They've influenced bands such as Draco and the Malfoys, the Whomping Willows, and the one-man Catchlove. BUT, my favorite WROCK artist at the moment HAS to be... The Weasel King. His sound is clear and not of a home-studio. This is the kind of quality you get from big-bucks records, and not only that, but his sound, home-made or not, is... the kind of music I listen to. It's amazing. Now for a taste: Red Hair - The Weasel KingNow, I should be taking a shower. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows in less than 4 hours. Kelsey | Monday, May 28, 2007 Saturday night, a quiet night at the Barbero house. I put Science of Sleep in my computer and was watching it from my bed. I was trying to concentrate on the movie, when I noticed a candle in my room--because hello, why not? it was science of sleep and nothing was happening. Earlier that day I made the candle from a candle-kit I got for my birthday a long time ago. I melted and poured this jello stuff around 2 wicks (it came with 2, so I used 2), and I added flowers for effect into an empty glass candleholder. so I'm watching GGB talk about parallel syncronized randomness and I look to my right and the whole candle rim is engulfed by a half foot tall flame. I tried blowing it out but failed. I was getting a little uncomfortable, it seemed pretty contained so I left it like that for 3 more minutes, hoping it was just flowers on fire. Well after that little rockets started sparking out so I decided to splash a little aquafina on the candle. BAD IDEA. The flaming glass rim of the candle holder broke off and rolled under my bed--in the words of Johnny Cash it was a ring of fire. So I ran upstairs yelling where my parents were half asleep, my dad got the fire extinguisher and sprayed chemical powder all over the place. We had to peel the glass rim off the carpet because the carpet melted to it. If Science of Sleep had put me to sleep I would be dead right now. That movie would have indirectly caused my death. ![]() ![]() It's like when Bob Dylan said, "I have a dream," that's what he was talking about! Misha | Sunday, May 27, 2007 John Lantham So, even without The Lost Experience, I'll still be posting theories and stuff I find over the summer/fall/winter :( HAHA. This is what the newspaper said according to this place, as well as several other sources. The body of John Lantham of New York was found shortly after 4 am in the 4300 block of Grand Avenue. Everyone is saying it's Michael. I like that theory because: + At the funeral, Jack said that the man was neither family nor friend. + Michael lived in New York before the island + Michael has a son. Walt was 10 in 2004. So, now, in 2007, Walt will be 13. Teenager. + He's using a different name because... he wanted to start over? I don't know if this theory works because: + Why would Jack/try to kill himself over Michael? Here's more on the newspaper clipping. --- Captiol Hill mugger! The Ten is at the Egyptian Theatre, but it's in the morning, so we'll be fine. HAHA. Anyway, we should start our .. campaign, I guess.. to watch The Office in English. Kelsey can do first period, Monica/Ryan can do 3rd period, I can do fifth period, and Reslyn can bring it up in 6th period. 6th period will talk about it like crazy since that's their thing, I guess. HAHA. Does anyone know 2nd period people? I do, but they're in my 3rd period. Actually. I can tell them on tuesday, and we can start on Wednesday. Mariela | Tuesday, May 22, 2007 So for some reason my computer won't let me access the Haloscan pop-ups. Anyway, prom was fun! My only complaint was that the music could've been better and that they hadn't had this local rap group called the Diligents perform, who were obviously booked because they knew the DJ. Boo, they sucked. Also, the entertainment turned out to be this performance by acrobats. It was kinda kinky, cause there was this girl acrobat whose underwear went way up her ass and this guy acrobat who entered with a wedding veil, or maybe he was a ghost. Anyway, it was cool but really creepy in a bondage-y kind of way because there was this really creepy chick who just pranced around making mischievous expressions, whom I supposed was the subordinate of the girl and guy acrobats. She had ass-underwear too and was dressed up like a clown-slut. Plus, at the end of the routine, the guy and girl acrobats took down the ribbons and wrapped them around the clown-slut while chasing her and pretending to assault her until she finally fell and started wriggling on the floor. WTF, right? HAHA. You guys can see pictures of the night here. A more condensed collection (43 to 5) can be found on MySpace, if you dare. Monica | Thursday, April 19, 2007 Regal Meridian 16 Seventh Ave & Pike Seattle, WA 98101 (206)223-9600 808 (12:50), (1:50), (3:40), 4:40, 6:30, 7:30, 9:20, 10:20 BTW Those times are for: It's Saturday! No, it's not; It's fucking Sunday! (Oh, and within the nearest 25 miles, it is showing: Neptune Theatre... ALDERWOOD MALL) So I think Ugly Betty is getting pretty good. Or maybe I'm just glad that one of my old regulars is back on TV. So Hot Fuzz isn't playing anywhere here? YOU SEE? YOU SEE HOW STUPID THIS AREA IS? AND I REALLY WANT A BANANA SPLIT WITH VANILLA, CHOCOLATE, AND STRAWBERRY ICE CREAM WITH HOT FUDGE AND WHIPPED CREAM (AND PERHAPS SOME NUTS) AND A FREAKIN' CHERRY ON TOP. I never win anything special. I never get picked for a raffle and I never win one of those just-submit-your-name scholarships. The only thing I've ever been in the top .01% for is being one of the few Verizon customers who will never get an answer to: "Can you hear me now?" NOT GOOD! Funny things from 30 Rock. PS. I like the part when Tina looks up. HAHAHAHAA. 'You're making me gay.' Like a make-over on Tina Fey or Rachel Dratch as Baba Walters attempting to say, "The Rural Juror." ![]() ![]() Speaking of Iconz Ryan | Wednesday, April 18, 2007 First of all: I love love love Sleeping States. Fans of Beirut, Grizzly Bear, and Magnetic Fields unite! Sleeping States - Don't Make Me Over (Highly Recommended!) Lo-fi fuzziness at its best. Good golly, Miss Molly! Don't Make Me Over gets stuck in my head at school, and it's so gooooooood. Get more info/songs from his website. Yahoo! Anyway, for the next next layout (in like, 5 months I'm guessing), we could use something iconic and put our names over them! Y/N?!? For example: instead of using just our photos, we could use like, the pictures of the Planeteers. I could be Fire guy (because I got first dibs), Monica can be Wind girl (cause she likes Regina Spektor HAHA!), Mariela can be Earth guy (cause she's down to earth), Reslyn can be Water gal (uhh.. HAHA), Misha can be Heart guy (cause that's funny), and Kelsey can be Captain Planet (cause she's our Hero). HAHAHAHA hee hee ho ho. Anyway, I think we should do Velvet Underground + Nico (pic). That's five so we can have Andy Warhol included in the mix. I call Lou Reed! ![]() ![]() Feist - One, Two, Three, Four Ryan | Monday, April 16, 2007
THIS SHIZ IS AMAZING!!! ![]() ![]() Prom, the Bomb! Reslyn | Sunday, April 15, 2007 Prom was great fun. I must say, all of you looked really nice. (: I wish I could've took more pictures with you guys though! Ugghh. I actually got to dance with some of you. And I can't wait to see the Old Boy picture. Oh, something scary happened to me on prom night as well. I'll just tell you guys in person. Yeah. I can't believe it's over though. It went by too quickly. I woke up at 2 p.m. today and my body was throbbing with pain. I have to go down the stairs by walking sideways. HAHA. And I have these scars on my body from my dress. There's these wires that go along the side of my dress for formation, I guess. And while I was dancing, every time I swayed side to side, I was getting stabbed by sharp wiring. I'll be sure to show you guys my prom battle scars. I uploaded all of my pictures in my photobucket. Nyeh, I'll just try and put all of my pictures on my jump-drive thingymajiggy. I know I am so bad at distributing pictures! I'll try my best to get them to you guys ASAP. I need the physics notes I missed on Friday. Would Kelsey, Monica, or Ryan like to let me borrow their notes? (: ![]() ![]() What's so stupid about wanting to name a baby Usher? Usher Jennifer Hudson Kapoor. Monica | Saturday, April 14, 2007 On that riddle place, I am on the Orange Glasses level. I freakin' hate that level. This hurts my head. And makes me not want to get ready for praaaam. And I guess I have to bring some cash for some group OLD BOYZ photos, yes? Also, Reslyn, I checked Ebay and the prices for Disney's Snow White Barbie Doll is only around the $10 area. :/ Also, I kind of was looking for a generic blonde Barbie for my French project. So you can tell the bad news to your client. I'll just go to Goodwill and find one. ![]() ![]() Final Halo High School Fantasy Musical Ryan | Friday, April 13, 2007 AntiRiddle DUDE! This shiz is addictive and mind-crushing. If youse likes Lost, which is most of ya'll and have time on your hands (Mariela, who's on spring break), try solving the riddles there. We could post answers in the comments as we get further. Y/N?! You might not understand the humour, but this is HILARIOUS. HAHAHAHA! ![]() ![]() midweek update Kelsey | Wednesday, April 11, 2007 Not only did you leave your ry-pod at my house, you also left your BROKEN PEN. As punishment I will be stealing some ink out of it. justice is served. Big events: 1. The other day I was walking Max along Ridgetop and someone yelled, "Elizabeth!" at me. 2. A man came to my house today dressed as a construction worker and handed me a 100 dollar bill, it's still in my pocket. 3. Our graduation hats are so neato. 4. My grafitti-eed out ride just had it's 30000-mile check up, the serpentine belt is fixed, and I washed it. Ready for a road trip ! ! (unless Monica says otherwise.. oh yeah I was going to ask you, why your parents don't want to just sell it?) Happy LOST Wednesday. ![]() ![]() Cockroach Mariela | Monday, April 9, 2007 I just thought of an April Fool's joke, like, a week too late. I would've changed the password to something obscene until you guys figured out that _________ didn't work anymore. So..... I'm on spring break. You guys have prom this Saturday, roight? Take pictures. I mean it. Plenty. Speaking of pictures, all of you better send me pictures of yourselves that you particularly like or feel are evocative of the true essence of your beings. Otherwise, I will be forced to use the pictures that I myself have accumulated and I'm not sure if you'd want that. Speaking of speaking of pictures, Kelsey, you look too cute on stage in your bird costume! Now I understand what you meant earlier about people commenting on your digs and then pretending to be interested in your actual role for shame of their lacking depth. HAHAHA. Does anyone have a video of her performance? I bought new makeup... cerulean/indigo liner... that is all. P.S. Monica, change my icon please. It's me arse! EDIT: RYAN, YOU DID THAT ON PURPOSE!!!!! ![]() ![]() It smells of... farts, my mother's farts. Ryan | Sunday, April 8, 2007 So, to break up the Misha streak, and to make it so everyone can post about something, how did ya'll spend your spring vacations? Third grade paper report, drawing, and show and tell optional: - Last Friday: I actually don't remember. We probably did something together, right? Right?! Was that when we went to Island lake...? And watched 300? Was it? Well the only things of note that you guys don't already know are: I watched so many movies this week. Daggum. 300, Volver, Happy Feet, Marie Antoinette, Bad Education, Jesus Camp, Quinceanera, Children of Men, Borat, This Film Is Not Yet Rated, Y Tu Mama Tambien, and though it's not really a movie, the Planet Earth series which is amazing, by the way. As an aside: Penelope Cruz, I love you. I knew I would ever since you broke up with Tom Cruise because he wanted you to convert to Scientology. That, and because his name was the confusing Anglo varient of yours. ECHO PARQUAY! ALSO: Congrats to Mariela cause she's got a ticket to ride! ![]() ![]() ~_-- Misha | Sunday, April 8, 2007 I was watching the news, and there was a story about these high school seniors in Chicago who made a parody of The Office. And I guess they sent it in or something. And the people from The Office liked it so much, they invited them to the SET! And they got to meet the cast! Here's the news piece. So, all we have to do is make a good enough video, and they'll invite us to the set! Then, we can invite them to graduation! HAHAHA. 5 in a row! Yes! -________- ![]() ![]() ~_ Misha | Saturday, April 7, 2007 Tomorrow is Easter AND Buddha's birthday?! Says Wikipedia. And I saw the first 2 minutes of this on ONTD before they took the YouTube down. I thought it was funny. HAHA. u___u ![]() ![]() ~ Misha | Friday, April 6, 2007 Shoot! Stupid, stupid prom! ---- Come learn all about volunteering for the largest film festival in the nation at SIFF's upcoming VOLUNTEER MEETING, scheduled for Saturday, April 14, 10:00 AM at the Egyptian Theatre (located at 801 E Pine). At the meeting, you will meet the SIFF gang, hear the inside scoop on the 2007 Festival, have a snack, and get a shot at landing a great door prize. ![]() ![]() I Heart Showalter Misha | Tuesday, April 3, 2007 Saturday? Drop-in Schedule Meh. Maybe we should do that part another time. And have you guys seen that Lily Tomlin/David O. Russell I Heart Huckabees thing? Well, here's a parody from Michael Showalter + Paul Rudd. HAHAHA. ONTD? Yeah. ![]() ![]() -_____ Misha | Monday, April 2, 2007 http://seattletimes.nwsource.com/html/localnews/2003647571_webuwshooting02m.html ![]() ![]() If your wind has colors, you need to move upwind of whatever factory is spewing out those pollutants. Monica | Sunday, April 1, 2007 I'm up for some Seattle on Friday. Oh yeah, and if any one wants me to email The Tudors to them, tell me before 7 days has past. Because that's when it expires. Jonathan Rhys Meyer's roles are all freaks. Which makes me think he's a freak. Which he probably is. ~**Actorzzzz**~ And I think the girl who plays Anne Boleyn should be Regan in our King Lear production.
