EFS: a prologue / chapter 1

It is currently 905 PM and I am alone in my dorm. People are probably out or hanging in their rooms as well, except everyone else has a three-person dorm and would have at least another person in the room. Being alone in the dorm makes me feel weird. Like one of those 30-year old gamers wo live in their mom's basement and rarely goes out. And is often refered to their username instead of their Christian name, which is only used by their mothers. Anyway, which person would I be? The Hermit?

The meeting was dumb. Blah blah don't go out alone, always lock your rooms. Kthnx. Then I got a turkey sandwich from that place. Eh. I should have been more prepared to go here. Ok. This week made me realize I am dumb. Dumb!

Next Day...

Finished first day of class. It turns out that I have to buy one of those expensive headphones, like BOSE. Eh. Also, walking back to the dorms, I met up wit one of my classmates and she's going to Target to get hers. So I will follow suit. In class, we did some experiments, like have someone sit in the middle of the classroom and we'd all surround them and make noises, and see if they can pinpoint our location. Anyway, I'm in my dorm now and I think my next-door-neighbor is listening to the Rolling Stones. TURN THAT DOWN! 

Oh, and I took a shower lst night at 10-ish. And when I got out, I overheard another girl tell her friend: "That is the most uncomfortable shower I've ever had in my life." True that, sister! The edges of the curtains were slightly open and I kept trying to close it and cover myself at the same time. And it's effing dark. Usually my showers I can see where my soap is. Also, I need a bigger container for my shower things. Also, my roommate must have experience with this because she brought a sling bag to put her clothes in. All I had was my backpack. So, I think I'll add to that list: a waterproof bag. Also, I did not know where to change. I didn't want to walk all the way back to my room down that long-ass corridor, naked and only covered by a soping wet robe. Ehff no. So I changed in the shower because I was still wet from the steam. Ehhhhhhhghhhh. So... I have to practice or something.

Also, it's raining and I did not pack for rainy season. Oh, Seattle, why must you torture me so! I'll probably just wait until I go back home to get my hobo jacket, orget a cheap one at target. I also need more pillows, the egg-shell thing so I can use my blue blanket... And maybe ear muffs because them buses are annoying. That's all for now.

Um... I've got this person's limewire on my iTunes. And I've got to say that this kid needs to get out or something. And I quote: "Look At This Porno". I'm living with creeps.

OK. This blog was supposed to be about music, right? Or for our sountracks, or the fact that y'all were just jeluzz of our ssc ~* j o u r n a l *~ lolz, jk. ANYWAY. Enough of this internet chit-chat nonsense. Here I am, doing my part.

So. Wrock. Dunno if any of you have heard of that phrasing of it, but just for clarification and education into my world, I will tell you that it stands for: WIZARD ROCK. Now, we've all heard of Harry and the Potters, the second band I've ever heard an HP song from (Switchblade Kittens being the first) and who have jumpstarted the whole WROCK. They've influenced bands such as Draco and the Malfoys, the Whomping Willows, and the one-man Catchlove. BUT, my favorite WROCK artist at the moment HAS to be... The Weasel King. His sound is clear and not of a home-studio. This is the kind of quality you get from big-bucks records, and not only that, but his sound, home-made or not, is... the kind of music I listen to. It's amazing.

oh yes. I am below that line. in sunny Charleston, South Carolina--SoCar, the locals call it(i kid). I have yet to try some awesome southern BBQ, because my parents insisted on eating at the galley on base where they serve Chef Boyardee ravioli.oh well..let me sum my trip up so far:

1. McChord,WA-->plane-->Andrews, Maryland
2. Shared a rental car with Wes(crack head)& Jim(PA farmer) who we met on the plane-->Dover, Delaware
3. Wes drove 90mph in a 65mph zone(crazy black man)-->Chesapeake, Virgina
4.We stay with cousin Chris, his wife Gila gives us vitamin candy, YUCK! we rent a car and drive from-->Virgina>North Carolina(I drove)>South Carolina
5. now we are waiting in the terminal, trying to catch a plane to Europe. there are 2 leaving for Rota, Spain and 1 for Mildenhall, UK.

hmm i like SoCar, its almost tropical. There was this Mexican themed amusement park in NoCar called South of the Border, but we didn't stop..boo. and I totally want to watch HP5 in Europe!!

ps. Samantha Brown can suck eggs.

I haven't written in here in a long time. I'm sorry guys. And I'm sorry for missing zombie day. I was actually looking forward to that! But my relatives from Hawaii left last Friday so I am freeee as a bird.

Are we going to have another movie day? What's the next theme? I say we start our television series marathon or what not! At my house. And yes, I am inviting all of you. Sheesh. I don't want to hear another "I wasn't invited" shit. HAHA!

OH HEY! I watched the Feist 1 2 3 4 video that Ryan and Arabella made. Kelsey, you blew me off my feet. You were HELLA good. (: You should consider a career in dancing if you ever decide to leave the honey baked ham industry. I can be your choreographer. Just kidding!

So yes. We need to plan plan plan! Also . . we should have a Wild Waves day. Sometime in the first couple weeks of July. When do all the vacationeers come back? (LUCKY!)

Mr. Sweet was telling us the schools in Washington that made it onto that one Newsweek list. There are 4 Bellevue schools in the top 60! One of them is number 11! Yeah, I'm going to look into this Bellevue area. I think I want to live there in the future. HAHA.

CK is the 8th Washington school on the list. So... that's kind of cool. HAHA.

Saturday night, a quiet night at the Barbero house. I put Science of Sleep in my computer and was watching it from my bed. I was trying to concentrate on the movie, when I noticed a candle in my room--because hello, why not? it was science of sleep and nothing was happening. Earlier that day I made the candle from a candle-kit I got for my birthday a long time ago. I melted and poured this jello stuff around 2 wicks (it came with 2, so I used 2), and I added flowers for effect into an empty glass candleholder.

so I'm watching GGB talk about parallel syncronized randomness and I look to my right and the whole candle rim is engulfed by a half foot tall flame. I tried blowing it out but failed. I was getting a little uncomfortable, it seemed pretty contained so I left it like that for 3 more minutes, hoping it was just flowers on fire. Well after that little rockets started sparking out so I decided to splash a little aquafina on the candle. BAD IDEA. The flaming glass rim of the candle holder broke off and rolled under my bed--in the words of Johnny Cash it was a ring of fire. So I ran upstairs yelling where my parents were half asleep, my dad got the fire extinguisher and sprayed chemical powder all over the place. We had to peel the glass rim off the carpet because the carpet melted to it.

If Science of Sleep had put me to sleep I would be dead right now. That movie would have indirectly caused my death.

It's like when Bob Dylan said, "I have a dream," that's what he was talking about!

So, even without The Lost Experience, I'll still be posting theories and stuff I find over the summer/fall/winter :( HAHA.

This is what the newspaper said according to this place, as well as several other sources.

The body of John Lantham of New York was found shortly after 4 am in the 4300 block of Grand Avenue.

Ted Worden, a doorman at the Tower Lofts complex, heard loud noises coming from the victim's loft.

Concerned for tenants' safety, he entered the loft and found the body hanging from a beam in the living room.

According to Jaime Ortiz, a police spokesman, the incident was deemed a suicide after medical tests. Latham (sic) is survived by one teenaged son.

Memorial services will be held at the Hoffs-Drawlar Funeral Home tomorrow evening."

Everyone is saying it's Michael. I like that theory because:
+ At the funeral, Jack said that the man was neither family nor friend.
+ Michael lived in New York before the island
+ Michael has a son. Walt was 10 in 2004. So, now, in 2007, Walt will be 13. Teenager.
+ He's using a different name because... he wanted to start over?

I don't know if this theory works because:
+ Why would Jack/try to kill himself over Michael?

Kelsey can do first period, Monica/Ryan can do 3rd period, I can do fifth period, and Reslyn can bring it up in 6th period. 6th period will talk about it like crazy since that's their thing, I guess. HAHA. Does anyone know 2nd period people? I do, but they're in my 3rd period. Actually. I can tell them on tuesday, and we can start on Wednesday.

Is there a part during "Oedi" where it'll be appropriate to bring up The Office? HAHA. What if we said the same thing? He'll have like deja vu all day! HAHA.

According to Wikipedia, The television series Lost (2004-) appears to be influenced by Shakespeare's play "The Tempest", which is also about a group of people wrecked on an island in a rather mystic fashion for unknown reasons.

So for some reason my computer won't let me access the Haloscan pop-ups. Anyway, prom was fun! My only complaint was that the music could've been better and that they hadn't had this local rap group called the Diligents perform, who were obviously booked because they knew the DJ. Boo, they sucked. Also, the entertainment turned out to be this performance by acrobats. It was kinda kinky, cause there was this girl acrobat whose underwear went way up her ass and this guy acrobat who entered with a wedding veil, or maybe he was a ghost. Anyway, it was cool but really creepy in a bondage-y kind of way because there was this really creepy chick who just pranced around making mischievous expressions, whom I supposed was the subordinate of the girl and guy acrobats. She had ass-underwear too and was dressed up like a clown-slut. Plus, at the end of the routine, the guy and girl acrobats took down the ribbons and wrapped them around the clown-slut while chasing her and pretending to assault her until she finally fell and started wriggling on the floor. WTF, right? HAHA.

Prom was great fun. I must say, all of you looked really nice. (: I wish I could've took more pictures with you guys though! Ugghh. I actually got to dance with some of you. And I can't wait to see the Old Boy picture. Oh, something scary happened to me on prom night as well. I'll just tell you guys in person. Yeah. I can't believe it's over though. It went by too quickly.

I woke up at 2 p.m. today and my body was throbbing with pain. I have to go down the stairs by walking sideways. HAHA. And I have these scars on my body from my dress. There's these wires that go along the side of my dress for formation, I guess. And while I was dancing, every time I swayed side to side, I was getting stabbed by sharp wiring. I'll be sure to show you guys my prom battle scars.

I uploaded all of my pictures in my photobucket. Nyeh, I'll just try and put all of my pictures on my jump-drive thingymajiggy. I know I am so bad at distributing pictures! I'll try my best to get them to you guys ASAP.

So, to break up the Misha streak, and to make it so everyone can post about something, how did ya'll spend your spring vacations? Third grade paper report, drawing, and show and tell optional:

- Last Friday: I actually don't remember. We probably did something together, right? Right?! Was that when we went to Island lake...? And watched 300? Was it?
- Last Saturday, Sunday, Monday, etc. : Jeez, where did my life go? I have no clue. Let me just do specifics.

Well the only things of note that you guys don't already know are: I watched so many movies this week. Daggum.

300, Volver, Happy Feet, Marie Antoinette, Bad Education, Jesus Camp, Quinceanera, Children of Men, Borat, This Film Is Not Yet Rated, Y Tu Mama Tambien, and though it's not really a movie, the Planet Earth series which is amazing, by the way.
