This is inspired by a dream I had after watching Project Runway. I was following the girl in the painting (Mariela)-- her in haute cotour, me in a little girl's nightgown, whyiaskyou-- and on our side was a cloudy sky and on the other was sunny weather. And I think we were trying to get to the end of the brick wall to get to the sunny side.

I was sewing the tootsie and all of a sudden i remembered for the 3rd time this week..

Renisha, why were you so different? WHY? was it her Alabama descent? was it the bulky art projects she dragged around? or was it because she was black? AND THEN i kept on keepin on about that last one, maybe everyone was being racist to her the whole time she was in Washington. I have these impressions of heads constantly turned towards her, and i remember a few instances when she was gone and the whole class/teacher combo shared giggles (not just any giggles either, knowing giggles) over her. Wasitracism? just might've been. But then maybe I was the only one thinking in terms of race and there was something funny that i didn't catch and I am the real racist, like George (not Henry) Wallace. i have opened a can or something, set me straight Ryan you were there. you know.

oh yeah BTW, thanks bunches mon, those letters look fab.

For those who don't do html regularly I was thinking we can keep this format for the layouts for a while, cause Kelsey wants to make the layout after Mariela's and she can just make her own image, the same size as the one I put above, and she can just tell me what colours to use and all you have to do is replace the colour values in the style sheet and the source in the [img] tag, and presto.

When Mariela or Monica make the layouts, do whatever you want, just that this can be the generic format if Misha or Kelsey wants to make one. Ok, cool.

The width of the image is 640 pixels wide, by the way, and the image can be any height.

Ok, so I've been up making a new layout because the last one was bugging me incessantly. It's not like it's bad that I've been awake cause I woke up at 5:00 PM, anyway. Enjoy it, hussies.

I widened the posting width, and increased the font size. I also have no idea what to do with the sidebar. Any suggestions would be cool. We haven't posted in this since my last entry on March 8th (see archives) so I bet you guys won't notice until around the 20th or so.

The same rules apply when posting, only thing that's changed is the page itself. If anyone (Monica...) wants to make icons that somehow relate to the layout for each of us, that'd be cool too. Next layout (in two months) will be made by someone else (Mariela? Monica? Can Misha or Kelsey do layouts?) in 2-3 months can be decided amongst yourselves. Someone use reds or yellows, I've been using blues and dark colours cause it just happens. We need bright stuff.

Tootsie Roll project must be completed or Ms. Reynolds will have my HEAD. Work partay on Tuesday, perhaps? I can't go on Monday.
