Ugh.
The powers been out forever, and it's sunday. i'm writing this from my laptop, where I have about 30 minutes of time left and no internet connection. I'd have more time to waste, but.. Anyway, backstory.
We DO have power. One cable, leading into our house, because the people in the neighbourhood behind us have power and they were nice enough to lend us a place to get some electricity via lots of connected cables. The people in the neighbourhood behind us have power, the people in Northminster have power, the Genaurdis lot has power. But we do not.
Frontstory again. Anyway, our fridge stays pretty cold, even after you unplug it for quite awhile, because that's what fridges do. So I decided to unplug the fridge for twenty minutes to borrow the cable and power up my comp., like mum had done with her cell phone etc. But when I came back my comp. was unplugged and the fridge was running again, so I had a sort of "WTF?? MAGIC POWAR" moment until I realized Neil was on the couch playing his gameboy (I thought I was alone in the house at that time). I told him to not unplug the fridge again, and he just went, in this great wanky voice "I don't want my sesame chicken (his lunchfoods. I can't stand the smell of sesame chicken. our whole fridge is starting to smell like it because he eats it constantly. if *I* filled the fridge with chocolate or something else he hated he'd dispose with it in five minutes, but god knows if I throw away his precious chicken he'll cut my hand off) to get spoiled (in twenty minutes)." which made me feel bad about wanting to SUCK THE ENERGY OFF FOR MY STUPID COMPUTER, but then I realized he's stupid and his chicken isn't going to go bad.
Since I'm not connected to the internet, I can't look back to check and see if I ever posted about lake placid, but I've probably told some of you wonderful readers INDIVIDUALLY about the time Neil unplugged the fridge at lake placid. it was hilarious, he brought the ps2 on vacation with him and the cord for it wasn't long enough to get into the other sockets, so he just unplugged the fridge and used the socket there for the ps2, and everything spoiled and smelt awful. it's much funnier to tease him about in retrospect when you can't smell it. anyway, I thought that made it all ironic.
He's really been on my nerves lately, but I think that's mostly because I don't have electricity to SOOTHE me. I can't even sleep without it, it's too quiet and dark in my room and I just got nervous. i read through three books last night trying to sleep. -_- I liked one of them all right, a poppy z. brite book called drawing blood and the other one was by the author of speak, but it wasn't as good as speak. it's too dark. and I want the people who DO have power right now to go to amish hell. what a wasted weekend.
there was anime club last night, and I was going to ask people to go, but I just ended up not. and I wasn't going alone. too scared of the guys there now. why am I so afraid of guys? they just make me feel tense and awful.
i forget who said "but isn't neil your big brother? shouldn't he be protecting you?" eh. he doesn't protect me from his friends, just eggs them on. besides, he's got stuff to do. He's usually occupied by a girlfriend. Heh, he brushed his hair and everything last night because he was all concerned, and I hadn't really noticed. And while we were in the living room, he did something to annoy me (made a really stupid, irritating face), and I told him not to do that, and he did it again, right in my face, so.. I squirted him a little with my juice bottle. he got ÜBER pissed, and was like "damnit lisa!' and I told him he was wearing black and he should just go towel his shirt off. but he was still über-pissed, and ended up punching me in the side pretty hard, and now I have a bruise to mark was an irritating person I can be. ^o^/

I think the lemony rei layout time period might be my favorite for my writing, sometimes, but I'm not sure yet. it's hard to decide. the depression stuff during the time takes some away from it, I think (I hadn't noticed it before, surprising because it's so obvious, but I guess I don't read my archives too often). I like my writing best when it's happy, maybe.

I just gave zacky (MY TRUE BELOVED, FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO HAVE FORGOTTEN, because he's so sweet) some of my dinner and he's licking his paws and rubbing his face, etc, and it's very adorable because it's just one of those little things in life. I like the little things, I think, better than the big things. I remember when I was doing this group therapy thing (uugh), and we were writing down lists and I wrote down about horse barns at night in the summer because they smelled like hay and they were warm and you were riding a horse bareback, and everything was just really calm, and the lady was like "o_o"
the weather is strange now because it's messing with my windows and they get all clouded over with the cold or something. I have weird windows, instead of a screen there's another sheet of glass so even if you open a window you can't really get it open without a lot of work, except for when I used to have the screen in my window (thank god, otherwise escaping my room during the locked door incident would have been difficult). we replaced it with the glass again for some reason.
maybe so I won't escape?
everyone needs to go download some songs by simon and garfunkel. especially "scarborough fair", and "the sound of silence". they were the guys that did "mrs. robinson". I really started to like them while I was watching "the graduate" with my father (which is one of those events which I think will stick in my mind because my father and I were just sitting together and watching the movie and that seems so rare, somehow, but it was such a lovely movie and somehow being around him made me really happy and a little wistful), where they kept playing those songs... we need to rent the graduate and watch it during a sleepover. we do! soon!
I still haven't written about school yet. my muse will come. maybe it won't, maybe I'll just keep typing about lightbulbs and windows. but I think that's okay too.
just now, I was looking for part of the lyrics of "the sound of silence" to post, trying to decide. I started highlighting some to copy them, but then I realized I was highlighting the whole thing. I just couldn't decide.
on the trip home from lake placid, on the radio, "the sound of silence" started playing and I sang along, I remember. I think Neil was sleeping, and mum and father didn't really comment. maybe they thought I was being weird?
this morning I forced myself awake fairly quickly, and I'm a little proud of that, because I really wanted to lie back down and get back to sleep, even if I had only stayed up until twelve the night before.
story pause. I just remembered to add something about my windows that I was thinking: They are beautiful. mum+father want to replace them someday, because they paint where they were painted got on the panes and it's a little messy and some of them are a little cracked, but this is what makes them beautiful.
I woke up and spent a little while looking in my closet, then decided I didn't want to dress too fancily as too raise anyones expectations or anything. so I just wore my really old black, bum-like stretched out shirt, jeans, and sneakers. and my ball necklace thing. we had to sit in the gym forever and a day, but perhaps it only felt like that. there were speeches about how we need to be wonderful people and everything, integrity, compassion, etc. i'd just say, "be nice". everyone got to sit together and all, which was good. I guess while the talking went on I made my usual little comments, it's sort of like a twitch and it makes me feel bad sometimes because it seems a bit rude, and i'm ruining other peoples listening experience or whatever, but everyone has their sins
anyway. speaking of rude little comments, I was a real bitch when I was younger. i believe I had serious depression problems when I was really young, even, because I remember drawing a picture of us all and crossing myself out (to symbolize my feelings of emptiness and detachment or something, though I probably didn't think of it that way at the time) and hiding it in my mother's drawer, hoping she'd find it and know a way to fix the way I was feeling so everything would be nice.
anyway, that's not the snarky bit. neil was the outspoken one. I was the shyer one. neil was the angry one. he was a lot angrier when he was a child, and had a lot of trouble controlling his temper. and... I was sarcastic and I had a startling talent for picking out the things that would make people maddest to joke about and mock. it was a match made in earth, and it was really easy to provoke him to go psycho. which..was never a good thing. and for some reason, I couldn't stop. I really don't know why. it was just some kind of natural provoking urge. and neil never got in trouble, because he was always violent publically, whereas I did it when the parents weren't watching. this made him supermad, because he always got in trouble and I never did, and my parents were just like "well.. we never see her do anything. wisen up and get mad at her when we aren't watching, you doof." end sidestory.
spanish wasn't particularly noticeable, though I'm all happy because we get those kinds of books we can write in and this makes me happy. had mr. consiglio after that, and he seemed really really cool, though I think I might have made a bad impression. and he was like "I have to deal with you two (me and connie sitting together and beating on each other in stuff, like we usually do) all year?" ..."(@katie (or mike or whatever connie wants to call her) Please help me keep them in check u_u"
DIVERSION AGAIN!! this is the funniest thing I've ever read written about us:
just as we were about to go, we met up with the scariest naruto team 7 yet and got pictures with them. but you see, they were scary. they actually acted like their characters, throwing water at each other and stuff! it was pretty funny in retrospect, but i marvel at how they remain friends when they treat each other that way.
hahahahahaha. anyway, after that was algebra 2 and I'm in the veeery far back. seriously, there's an extra row, with ONE desk in it, it's like it's specially put there for some hapless person with the lastest last name in the class to be forced to sit and feel ashamed of their lastestness. then we had mrs. freid, and I met this cool girl named Cat, who does AWESOME drawings, and has keen hair because it's sort of bushy and unusual and it's just keen. then there was adv. comp. apps, which.. doesn't seem so good. mrs. pipkin-perry, despite her awesome name, doesn't seem like a very good teacher, and I don't feel like I'll learn much. from her description, she was talking about "journal writing about a random topic", which sounds extremely englishy to me, and at the risk of sounding terribly crabby, if she wanted to be an english teacher, she should teach an english class. at least make us TYPE the entries..
honors biology after that. if mr. man passes away from that class, she will be missed. we had to go around and tell our name and a fact about us. mr. man said "i'm lauren mr. man (subsitite with her real last name here, I don't want her to be stalked for her red hair or anything so someone can shave her head and make a coat of it), and I wish it was still summer." but before this I had been like "I'm lisa, and I have hair" and everyone was like "wtf?" and I felt kind of stupid. stephanie b. turned around and was like "you're one of a kind." which is good because any more of me would be potentially fatal (for someone? sheep?), I think.
after that was statistics, which wasn't particularly notable or anything except that the lady who teaches it (peters) was one of the people I helped move in, though she didn't seem to recognize me. after school there was a leadercorp fashion meeting and connie came with lian because she was going to go to lians house. and, as I was calling my mum to come pick us up, I ended the call with "kiss kiss", which is something I say to her a lot because she seems to like it and because it's fun to say, and connie thought it was super stupid or something and she kept cracking up all on the way home over it, which was sort of funny.
i better go do a little cleaning. I'm trying to keep my room clean this year. ^_^;

I haven't been writing entries because I feel sort of vaugely guilty af being like "jah, jah, I'll write so and so! and do so and so!". and I realized I haven't changed my blog layout in a long time.
In retrospect, that's kind of stupid. I should be writing for me. So that's what I'm going to do. I think I'd like to switch back to my old style, it was a lot easier because I just thought what I typed (I mean, um, vice versa. I keep noticing that I always get my words switched around, and then forgetting and noticing again. ^_^; It's like being a goldfish and having a rock in your tank and it sees the rock and it's like "OOH, ROCK. FUCK YES!! I LOVE YOU, MR. ROCK!" and then turning around and forgetting mr. rock and then you look back you get to fall in love all over again)
NEWSBREAK: I sort of lost my attention span, but I remembered something. Lian: George Carlin is a comedian, he was also in Dogma. I am reading my archives, and it is like a magical time machine. =D
anyway. there was school today, first day. but I don't want to talk about school, I want to talk about my light.
I have been living in dark for the past few days, except for the light over my bed. not because of a power outage or anything, just sheer laziness in not wanting to change the three lightbulbs in my room (for those of you who haven't noticed, I'm very lazy sometimes ^_^; ). it takes an inordinate amount of time and work to get the little thing that keeps the cover off the ceiling light (which I imagine has a proper name that isn't generally well known, like ascots (pronounced asscot, connie), but I am not aware of)
there was a momentary break right here while I went off to get dinner. one of our spoons is stained green from some curry my mother made that must have sat there for a long time or something to stain the spoon, which strikes me as funny for some reason.
anyway, as I was STRENOUSLY working at the little knob thing, I noticed something.
a gigantahumungous crack in my ceiling, spreading from one side of the room to the other, on the longest side. the first thought that came to mind was the ceilingstain at otakon. I put down the bulbs and went off to ask my mother if there was always a crack in my ceiling and she was like "uuh.. I think so? this house is full of cracks and stuff, it's falling apart" and walked off
as I was screwing in the bulbs, one of the things inside the lightbulb thingy that you screw it into (this I do not know the proper name of either) came out, still attached to the bulb, and I'm sort of pretending that never happened and I have no idea what it was if anyone asks me about it.
Wow. That was a long story. I could have just said "i screwed in my lightbulb, really", but.. okay, there's no reason I couldn'tve

I'm so sorry everybody, for not writing in here anymore. I'd like to say that I am busy with other things, such as the joy of life, like tending to small bonsai gardens or making a small animal out of yarn (thank YOU, Lemony Snicket. One day I hope to find a recipe that will teach me how to make lemony snickets so that I may eat them, and rejoice in the deliciousness that is to be a lemony snicket.) or dancing wildly in front of a horde of chanting onlookers, but unfortunately, I am not. The truth is, I am simply too lazy to do anything productive on here. Or I am busy with other things. Like sitting in on meetings that I am not supposed to be in. It's not that interesting, but I am here anyway. The smell of paint burns the interior of my nasal passages. It hurts. A lot.
And how I said I was going to write about Otakon? Apparently I have either forgotten or do not feel motivated to talk about it. I am too busy wanking in real life. Yes. I am a wanker. I have the means in which to wank. I am the almighty Ojisan. Did you know that Jesus has a middle name? It starts with an H. I don't know the rest of it so I shall assume it is Herbert. And from now on, I will not spout such blasphemies and obscenities like "JESUS CHRIST IN A THONG!" I shall instead said, "HERBERT CHRIST IN A BUTT FLOSS!" Hopefully the people that surround me will be too slow to catch onto the 'Christ' bit and shall not pelt me with rocks. They will just look at me as if I had just exploded in their presence, put myself back together, and then exploded once more, each time more messily than the first. But I won't mind, because they look at me like that already. Life is dark.
For some reason, the meeting that I am sitting in on is talking about clothes. You know...lengths of fabric in which you cover your private bits so no one shall see the shameful undersized bits you might have. It's not that interesting, like the other meetings. It is cold in here. But not too cold. The smell of paint still burns my nose. Oh. Such pain.

On a sidenote, I'm really starting to like the Wind ending theme to Naruto, and track eight on the cd which I don't know the name of because it's in Japanese on the thingy, and it doesn't have any lyrics to look it up by. Anyway, the guy in Wind just sounds so awesome, like he can't speak English at all (which he probably can't).

Got to walk to the mall with Lauren U. (fellow forgotten!)+Bob+Ed today. Saw Mr. Langrehr, that was strange. Didn't actually buy anything at the mall, just stood around while Bob bought his tongue supplies and whatnot. After only a few minutes we just walked back. It was pretty cool. They're people I'm relaxed around, they make me feel real.
After that I was fairly tired (I'm so weak X_x), and I just sort of sat and watched the end of the anime (perfect blue) we were watching in the club. It looked pretty good, actually. Kate was nice enough to buy me a soda. What a nice Kate. ^_^ People (like connie and lauren z.) are always giving me money to buy my pink lemonade with, they're so nice (i never said that!).
I was still tired, so I didn't want to walk back to the mall as planned.. I didn't want to go on the bus home either. neils convinced I have crippling social problems because I was too scared to talk to the people on the bus to ask how to do things and stuff (he's probably right). I'm just shy like that, really.
Michelle came to my rescue, and she let me stay at her house. Her cats are so cute. ^_^ There was a boy named Takura (is that right? erf) and one named Pooter (though everyone called her Chip. how weird.) They were so.. Little, compared to our cats. Our cats are so bloody big and strong, it's weird. Anyway, her mum and her mum's gf were quite nice, though her little sister was a tad annoying, I guess. Her home was so comfortable, not like mine at all, like a real home, where everything was together. Her mom probably things I'm stupid and bad at directions now. ^_^;;
I should go do my English homework. Seeya, blog.

Michelle writes so seriously in all her entries.. Stuff that goes on, stuff in life. It's sort of refreshing, really. I don't write often, and when I do it's just sort of little comments, nothing important. Even when I'm putting my life on the internet where anyone can see, it's still a closed door. How strange.
I really like the Erhu all of the sudden, and I found a page with some MP3's of Erhu playing, so that's cool.
I'm tired all the time lately. Literally, I go home and sleep until eight a clock or so, wake up, do my homework, and go back to sleep.. I can't wait till summer.
