an update is well overdue. i've just been on the go too much of late. as always, i struggle to find downtime, or else it find me...

i have been stuck indoors since wednesday night with the flu. at first i thought it was just a heinous cold, but then last night it turned into a fever.

home alone, i started to panick. the last time i'd been that feverish was when i came down with tb. it's almost a year ago now and i had almost forgotten what it was like... i started to think of all my amazing friends and how they were there for me last december. i miss everyone terribly. guess my subconcious was attacking my brain with the flu, telling me to slow down, relax and give love.

i feel a hundred times better now, but still look like i walked off the set of a nyquil commercial: red faced, bleary eyed, in a big bathrobe with kleenex stuffed pockets.

what's the lesson here? schedule more me time, i suppose. maybe i need to reserve every sunday and one week night for me, at home. it's a tough trade but worth staving off illness. yuck. i try so hard to exercise and eat right but it's stress that's the real killer. oh yeah, and don't forget to breathe.
