zzzz....

the sleep deprivation is starting to kick in. i feel like my brain is caught in a yawn loop. last night the pusher and i waited in line for the new playstation 2. we got there around 9:00 p.m. the lineup wasn't too huge at the time. there were about 100 ppl in front of us. at 10:00 p.m. they handed out numbered t-shirts. i got #127. those with t-shirts were guaranteed a ps2 at midnight.

the crowd was really pumped. fire-eaters performed tricks and created extravagant balloon animals to help kill time. there were quite a number of chatty cops laying about as well. the line was mainly hardcore male gamers. not too many young kids, but a few moms and dads did make the trek out to toys r' us at queen + yonge.

not surprising, there was little female representation in the line. a large proportion of the crowd was made up of video game distributors, store owners and various industry types. they all knew each other. a guy ahead of us in line had shaved ps2 into the back of his head.

raine bought the ps2 but there were no good ps2 games so she chose a ps1 game, bust a groove. dance dance revolution meets parappa the rappa. fun! too bad i ain't got no rhythm.

i won a toy story double dvd set just for waiting in line. they drew the numbers out and gave free stuff to just about everyone. mostly t-shirts and demo cds. the dvd was a score. raine got one too.

j. came by to wait it out with us once she finished work. i gave her my t and she got a unit for ratboy.

i went home around 1:00 a.m. had to be at physio by 8:00 a.m. this morning.. somehow i made it through the day. work was busy and then i met up with raine, shannon, eric, and the dude for a preview of the nightmare before christmas. i love tim burton's imagery. fantastic. super stylized creative. i'm not hot on musicals though.

i also love the coen brothers. saw a preview for their new flick. to long a title to remember when my head is foggy with z's. looks wacky. a must see.

btw, i had a great time shooting the shit + stick with book babes jen h. jen d. and cyn on tuesday night. apparently i could use some practice at the pool part. cyn sent me this link. ha ha. thankfully i've got the talking part down pat.

this weekend is packing packing packing. we move wednesday! i can't believe it!

must...

get..

rest.

it's been waaay too long. been so busy doing things that i haven't had time to write about them. work e-mail is down so i figured i should take advantage and start updating.

raine sent this little tidbit my way regarding the National Discount Brokers rage:

The National Post reported Friday October 20th, that the number was dialed over 500,000 times yesterday once the word spread through the Internet.

Almost all the calls were to hear the duck quack, and it fried the phone system at around 3PM....

craaazy!

moving is going ok but i think i overdid it and my neck is being a pain again.

radiohead was a fantastic live show. i've never seen them in an arena venue before and they pulled it off. i'll admit it was more intimate than most acc shows. unfortunately, the dude was really ill and had to leave halfway through. concerts aren't as much fun on your own.

i ordered my car. i am getting a 4 door civic, silver. it's supposed to arrive next tuesday, day before i move! i debated on the colour for a long time. finally the dude said i am going to drive it not wear it and i should just make a practical decision and stick to it. i really loved the beige interior but grey is easier to keep clean so...

i am looking forward to moving on and settling into my new place so that i can start socializing and stop packing! i haven't really given much thought to the impact this move will have on my relationship and lifestyle as i've been so busy. best to just plunge right in i s'pose. i know we can work it all out.

even my grandparents were cool with my decision. (big time family sessions as they were in town this weekend and it was great to see them -and my aunt jesse + uncle jay too, they came in as a surprise from the 'burgh.) my zeida said that i am from a new generation where we try things out to see what makes us happy. it's nice to get their approval.

tonight i am meeting some of my book babe friends in person at the wired woman technology with curves event. very exciting!

as such, i'd better get my butt in action.. have a good one!
