somtimes i fear death by computer.
my body seems to loathe these machines, yet i am a slave to them. my fingers can type faster than write. the internet is simply the nail in the coffin. it is my access to information, communication and when i have good broadband access, entertainment.
The more I grow to love and depend on computers, the more they try to destroy me. it's inevitable. i will not be a survivor on this techno island; someone with stronger neck muscles is bound to walk away with the one million dollars.
where is all this coming from? in tonight's relaxation class, my facilitator mentioned that we don't yet know the impact of "techno stress." her comment sucked my thinking into a downward spiral.
had a great night though. the dude and i ordered big greasy amato sandwhiches and chomped them down while watching bullets over broadway on cbc.

ACK! rhyme & reason 2000 has been postponed. i just stumbled across the news below at beastieboys.com:
We have some bad news. The Rhyme and Reason 2000 tour has been POSTPONED until further notice. Mike D was bicycling through NYC over the weekend, had a run-in with a pothole, and ended up dislocating his shoulder. After many trips to many doctors, it's been decided that Mike will need minor surgery to repair the damaged bits. Mike's going to be
ok, but after the third opinion came back that 45 days of live concerts could cause permanent damage to his shoulder, everyone agreed the tour would have to be postponed.
We know many will be disappointed. Please understand the band is disappointed, too.
Meanwhile, Yauch had a nasty e-mail virus that wiped out his audio and image files, but the postponement is apparently unrelated to this tragedy.
crazy huh? irony of it is, just got my hands on my ticket this morning. danko jones, jurrasic 5 and queens of the stone age are also supposed to be on the lineup.

Dog Angered By Sudden Firing
The Taco Bell Chihuahua has lashed out at the fast-food company and its advertising agency after he was dropped from their advertising campaign.
Using often unprintable language, the talking dog told the online Salon magazine Thursday, "I f*****g knew it, man. ... Everything's always 'Cool, beautiful, man, we love your work,' but I always knew deep down that I was just a dog to them."
The Chihuahua maintained that the news of his firing, which came on the heels of a change in top management at the chain, took him by surprise. "I wasn't expecting to have to think about all this for a year or so," he told Salon. "Now I have to make some money. Everybody thinks I'm rich because I'm on TV all the time, but it doesn't really work that way. The money was just starting to come in for real."

i have an affinity to taco bell because it's not available in quebec and for years i heard tales of the great 7 layer burrito. finally, i moved to ontario and it's my fave fast food. (this is only while i am eating it, it slips down to 4th once digestion begins...)

in boston and loving it. vacation is what work is all about. i have a new obsession - those coconut/lychee flavoured jellies. yoram freezes them and they taste like lychee ice. yum.
they had predicted thunderstorms but the weather has been great.
we've been doing a lot of walking around, laughing and eating.
last night we all made sushi.
today is our last day. i don't want to go home :(
