mmm.. chocolate chip cookies. yes, i am baking for the first time since i've moved to toronto. probably for the fifth time in my life. and they are baked with love and happiness.. feelin' pretty chilled out i s'pose. i am learning a lot about living through challenges these days.

had a good weekend. spend a lot of time hanging' with friends and my brother rob, who was in town.

last night we went to the gladstone garden party c/o nomi+jeff+co. had a good time. it was a high voltage gig and everyone was turned on. despite the drop in temperature, everyone was dressed to kill each other. me included.

afterwards, the guys and i headed over to the roffster's for a round of video games.

la-di-da-dia-la-la-di-da-dida-da uh-oh. joel showed us the demo for the teletubby playstation game. it's so bizarre. Game play consisted of 80s era graphics and a teletubby wandering around chasing bunnies and sniffing flowers while occasionally greeting other teletubbies with an oooooh. hee hee.

it's such a friendly experience, it doesn't fit in the gaming mindset. after awhile you just want to drop kick the bunny. there's no action. no racing. no kicking. no punching. just giggles.

awright. enough. this is a special message for elan: hi, i look forward to seeing your pita page soon ;-P

mmm.. pizza.

still at work. tonight we're doing a webcast for old school Canadian rockers 54•40.

today i got an e-mail from wheelockin'. Good to hear from you, ya lil' travelbugger.

my pet celland now onto... the cellphone scandal:

first some background > for my bday this year, oneofthose let me choose a cell faceplate. i choose a new techish turqoise one and bought an alien hologram to go with it. my cell was transformed from a luxury item into a pet.

now the dirt > new media was hanging at an annual bar-b-q, chompin' on potato salad, drinkin' drinks, when i noticed that ulch was using my cellphone. being a group of pranksters, i assumed they must've lifted it without my knowing. WRONG! the guy liked my faceplate and alien sooo much, he went out and bought the *exact* same one! scandale.

the kicker > he also admitted that he refused to use it at work, so that his dirty little secret would not be found out. i was shocked and angry at first but have since concluded that imitation is the most sincere form of flattery. (read: i am kinda kewl ;)

the dude made it into print yesterday. yup, ma boy's babyface graced the glam pages of the toronto star. take a look for yourself, here.

last night ms. martin and i checked out the jayhawks show at lee's palace.

the show was a lot of fun - the sound was good and there was a large turnout. unfortunately, lee's was an absolute sauna. the air conditioning broke down on one of the muggiest nights of the year. ick.

tonight's plan: maxin' n' relaxin' (read: take part in my new guilty pleasures > watching survivor while hugging a tub of ben + jerry's cherry garcia frozen yogurt ;-p

seen any cool links lately? send 'em my way and i'll post away.

Monday, August 14, 2000 - 05:27 p.m.

i need a week of weekends. the most recent one was really great. probably b/c i didn't have every second planned and scheduled.

friday, i attended Summersault2000 for a bit. caught the foo fighters and a perfect circle. then i went home and promptly passed out. think i was asleep before 10:30 p.m. a new record for me.

as a result i was up really early on saturday (8:30 - believe it!) did some cleaning and reading.. then the dude came over to make sushi. lots of it. it was our first attempt and a success. it was for shannon + eric's wedding shower. they are big sushiheads ;-)

the best thing about making sushi is eating the ends. yum. and listening to jurassic 5. (i love J5. can't take that cd out of my player.)

after the shower (another first and a lot of fun - raine did a bang up job) we went to see the cirque de soleil's journey of man 3D imax at the paramount. very cool special fx BUT the glasses were so uncomfortable i don't think i will see another 3D film until they improve them. they were bigger than my ski goggles.

sunday was a gorgeous day. raine and i biked to taste of the danforth festival for cheap souvlaki. i like to ride my bicycle. i like to ride my bike. i like to ride my bicycle. i like to ride it where i like.

i love my bike!

saw the new waterford girl movie. 100% wholesome canadian cinema.

alright, time to jet. tonight we are doing a chat with treble charger and the catherine wheel for Summersault2000.com - should be cool.
