saying that, i will spend tonight eating pizza and watching tv. valentine's is just too hallmark for me to accept it as a holiday. also, i just celebrated my anniversary. nonethless, i will happily accept all donations of chocolate...
last night, i saw the french canadian movie maelstrom. interestng movie, well-acted, good attention to light... it was about a girl who becomes obsessed with a man she ran over while driving home drunk. in typical "foreign" fashion it included lots of full frontal nudity. it was shot in montreal and made me a bit homesick...
actually, if the timing works out, there is a chance i might be appearing on u8tv this friday to talk up the differences between living in toronto vs. montreal.
today, thanks to classmates.com, i got in touch with an old high school friend. i didn't actually pay the $30 or whatev for the "gold" service but saw that they were online and looked up their e-mail addy. it's weird how the internet makes it difficult to ever really lose touch with your past...
