went to see travis tonight, got me quite excited for my visit to scotland. can't wait for my upcoming concert adventure. i am off on to the uk tomorrow. going to see beck, radiohead and supergrass. can't fuckin' wait. it's me deviled eggs tour - london/oxford/edinbugrh 2001, here we go!

looking forward to the break from the routine. i need perspective. i need to give myself a break. i need a kit kat. chunky, natch.

gerl and cola, have a fantastic party and a smooth move. i'll help you paint ;-)

allo toute le monde!

had a great time in gay paree. i would move there in a second. my french improved within an hour of my arrival, prompted by the tres friendly taxi driver ;-)

had too many croissants and baguettes and glasses of wine to count. i actually got sick of 'em by the time i left.

went straight from the airport to pm's countryside pad. had an amazing canada day despite how frickin' cold it was. loved frolickin' with the gang and had a blast on the drive home with pony girl and her colt.

i know i am not the first to say this but i can't believe mordecai richler is dead. he was so vital. still constantly writing, thinking and challenging. good news is, people will continue to discover his works for years to come.

i am off to the uk on thursday. yes, they are starting to call me elana 'jet-set' schachter. these trips barely scratch the surface of my travel bug bite.

my favourite thing about being away is the ability to completely erase all elements of home. literal escapism.

time to sleep today off.
