Well, I've gotten a Live Journal 'cuz I was nagged by various people (you know who you are ^_~). And because of my website move, my pita layout is all broken and no longer Bender-filled, so I'm either gonna make a new (really fucking simple) layout or just ditch Pitas all together. We'll see. (this part mirrored on my live journal) Okay, so my website has moved to here. Most of the stuff is up, but half of my Westlakean stuff is filed so poorly, it's going to take time to sort out/upload everything o.@. While I have nostalgia for "The Westlakean," I'm not inclined to worry too much about broken links, so if anyone cares, tell me, or else it won't get done ^^;;;. Anyway, I've uploaded a pic for Tomo. I have a ton of stuff I need to post, and I want to make a new layout, so expect me to do something before next year ^^;;;. Okay, now I'm tired of the computer. I'm going to watch Futurama or play Disgaea...I haven't decided which.

Eek...I can't believe I'm leaving for college in a week. It just now consciously occurred to me that summer is ending and soon it'll be back to the Northeast grind-stone o.@. I need to beat Disgaea so I can play Nocturne III, DMC III and Snake Eater when they come out...yeah right. At the rate I'm going, I might as well wait for when they become "Greatest Hits" _o_. Anyway, I have some art, all in the "Snake: the early years" series. There's a picture of Snake and Fox and a Liquid if you look for him. I'm very fond of pure inks. I've been reading the translations of Saiyuuki and while I really admire her use of screentone, I think I'd like doing it in a more Yoshihiro Togashi way. Not that I've ever could achieve his sensuous lines and amazing eye for detail o.@. But yeah, moving on, there are two more comics, which touch on smoking, love and everything...or something ^^;;;.

Okay, one more thing AvP related then I swear I'll shut up. This is entirely your fault, because you should never give me really The Curiousa tour was fun, except for the pretty big disappointment of Muse not being there (the lead broke his hand or something and couldn't play). Here's a quick and dirty summary of my impressions, none of which should be taken very seriously. Cooper Temple Clause: A little too goth for my taste and the lead singer should tone down on the tranqs before performing. They seemed like nice enough people, though. Head Automatica: Wow, so very gay. I couldn't pay attention to the music because of the blinding gayness...not really ^^;;;; without the fruit, the music was kind of bland ^^;;;. The Rapture: Two words: cow bell (or is that one?). In any case, for that alone, I would love the band. Not bad performers either. I just can't figure out if they're English or not o.@. Auf de Maur: Chix0r goth metal. In principle, I support girls in rock, but the music just wasn't for me. Interpol: Pretty damn awesome. For some reason, his voice live really grated on me, which it doesn't do otherwise. Of course, by this point, I had a growing headache, so go figure. Mogwai: *cries* Muse~~... *cries some more*. They actually weren't that bad, and had some trippy stuff that would probably be even better on drugs, but the crazy chords and general weirdness did nothing positive for my headache. It's the type of stuff I'd listen to in small amounts at a much lower decibel. The Cure: I mean, geez, what am I supposed to say? They're just awesome performers. Robert Smith has a lot of charisma for a dumpy Englishman. Some songs sounded crappy because of the equipment, but I didn't recognize them anyway so didn't realize their crappiness till after Wedge played the original verison. Does that sentence even make sense? o.@.

Heh, I had this feeling while I watched AvP, but I wasn't sure if it was simply the Scottish accent. In any case, Ewen Bremner will always be Spud from Trainspotting to me ^^;;.

| Stuff, stuff and...not more stuff
Since Neko-chan came over and played Disgaea, it gave me an opportunity to not play Disgaea, so I've started to complete some Inner Cynics. The irony is that this is about my love of Square, and Disgaea is neither Square nor Enix ^^;;;. Ah well, in any case, it has an exciting conclusion, making this the most action-packed Inner Cynic to date. Whoop-di-fucking-do ^^;;;. Anyway, I also finally completed a not-funny-in-any-way comic in my Snake-as-a-kid universe. It starts in medias res, since it would be the second part of a two-parter, but I'm too lazy to do the first half ^^. Basically it's Snake and Fox on an assassination mission, but I'd hope the comic makes that clear o.@. That's all for now...and on a random note, Phantom Brave has really nice music. Disgaea's is funny and cute, but Phantom Brave's is gentle and sentimental with just a hint of tango XD. d00d, am not even going to consider playing another TRPG until I at least get my characters to level 200 o.@.

| So many 2-D friends, so little time....
Oh, hey. I've been meaning to post for quite a while, but when I started Disgaea to show mah neko-twin, I got kinda really addicted o.@. I need to finish Kingdom Hearts but, but Disgaea. Item world. Hidden character classes. *Cackles hysterically*. I've only played bits of Dragon Quarter and Arc the Lad: the final spirits something-or-other, so I didn't realize how incredibly fun and addicting TRPGs are o.@. I dream about how to get through levels _o_. I also picked up my very own copy of Twin Snakes, but even the lure of Kitamura-style Snake cannot keep me away from Disgaea. And I suck at getting dog tags, but that's another story o.@. So yeah, basically what I'm saying is that I'm a very sad, pathetic individual and I still have five gajillion Inner Cynics planned but I don't know when I'll guilt myself into doing anything productive so I'm just going to paw sadly at my computer until the next "Samurai Champloo" episode is translated >o>. *Looks at PS2* Stop staring at me with your oh-so-seductive red eye and the temptation of hours and hours of grid-based battle system @o@.

Dras ought to just give up and move permanently into my house. He's been coming here on and off for the past few days to install Linux on his computer and has made himself at home providing me with speakers, helping my dad get files off a hard drive we're giving to Dras, and convincing me to play FF Tactics (yeah, like that's real hard _o_), and tagging along for fencing. Oh, I have art stuff. I was attempting to draw more "realistic" faces and ended up drawing young Fox, so I tossed in a young Snake for good measure. There's also an original of the newly-created Liz nagging the not-so-newly-created BoB. And then I tried to use my copics in a non-sucky manner on one Dante in his DMC3 outfit. >_> He looks like a girl, which is sad. On a tangent, Cy-kun and I had discussed earlier about a "mascot" for the Sony platforms. Of course I mentioned Snake, but really, everyone's favorite chain-smoking reptile-wannabe, in addition to being born on the NES, has prostituted himself out to the PC, Xbox and Gamecube, so he's not really a good choice. Dante, on the other hand, is in several other games outside his franchise but on the PS2, not to mention DMC is, like, the quintessential action game. Action Game: see Devil May Cry. Devil May Cry: an action game. And I asked first, which is an odd coincidence in itself ^^**.

Last night, I had a dream that Sony was going to cut back on the PSP's graphical power so that it's battery life would be over 10 hours. I don't know...I don't want any portable gaming systems anyway, because that would only encourage me. Anyway, as various peeps are watching T2, someone makes the comment that John Conner is like Snake as a kid. And, well, I got to thinking. This lead to more thinking, which of course had consequences followed by a conclusion. If you're curious, Snake's friend is Grey Fox (Frank), whom you may remember as Ninja from MGS. I have no idea how funny any of these are, and I have no plans to do more, but they may pop up if I feel inspired. I have so many Inner Cynics planned, it's ridiculous. They always seem to come in packs, much to my dismay >o>. I've only finished one. To me it's absolutely hilarious, but I don't think anyone else will find it so. It's kind of my tribute to Bill Watterson, creator of my first comic-love. Oh, and I spilled Copic marker ink, which is far more staining and messy than India inks ^^;;;.

Ah yes, I promised art, didn't I? I have no idea who reads this/who cares, but I feel bad about semi-lying. I kind of want to try to sell some of my art at the next Anime Boston, and while it's far off, some of the things I intended to post are on the list of possible entries. If I do prints, I'll post, if I sell the original, I won't. In any case, the only thing I've gotten around to scanning is my kind of redesign of Rune. I like the inking, everything else about it makes me wince o_<. My cousin and her kids are visiting, so they get first dibs on the PS2/Gamecube/SNES ^^. This means, instead of wasting my life away trying to figure out how to build a Gummi ship that looks decent and works, I may do the art projects I'm planning on doing...we'll see ^^***.

I uploaded my Xenosaga vid to the ftp server in my section under Video/My AMVs/Burned_Xenosaga_amv.avi. I post this here, because I'm not sure who visits the TDL forum anymore ^^;;;. I don't think it's horrible persay, but I think it's pretty obvious where I didn't know what I was doing (still don't) ^^;;;. In any case, the only people I really want to see it are Dras-chan and Cy-kun. Otherwise, check it out if you're interested (and have a connection to the server o.o) or not. Speaking of Dras...I'm going to beat him with a stick for being MIA so long *cries*. Stupid boyscouts and their stupid camps ;o;.

Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you Mr. Grumpy Puppy and Miss Pouty Fox. They're, like, a matched set of crankiness ^^. I also did an Inner Cynic guest-starring Abe with a cameo by Neko-chan. I'm going to be gone from the 24th through the 12th of July, so I'm hoping to finish up various projects (including but not limited to) my Xenosaga music vid, a picture for one of my grandma's friends and possibly my Osiris pic. We'll see how that goes.

| Kindness is something I don't want or need
After beating my head against the keyboard for almost an hour, I finally managed to get ffmpegX installed properly. This forum saved me, and for that, I'm grateful ^^. So now I can finally make music videos *knocks on wood* despite Quicktime being perhaps the shittiest piece of software I've ever seen and iMovie being that much crappier because of it >o<. Not that I need that extra distraction. Ignoring personal projects, every time I look out the window next to munnin, I see a yard full of weeds that either makes me want to strangle myself or break down and cry...maybe both...probably not in that order. In any case, here's another fairly old Inner Cynic idea. The main difficulty was in doing it tastefully, which, lemme tell you, when penis-hats are involved, isn't easy ^^**.

And I made banners, but neglected to update the links page itself, because I'm an egoist like that. There will be some major overhauling, but right now I'm trying to be good and finish the current Triple Strike issue o.@. Remember that one? ^^***
