A Floridian For Hillary

Nixon Library
In the primaries the lose California, they lose New York but it's impossible to think they could lose them in the general election.
Come November they will be rationalizing why they lost and they will say racism.

The Gainesville Sun
Somebody delivered a newspaper to me this morning.
I don't want the fucking newspaper but I took it to look at the want ads. Naturally I had to see the front page.
Basically it was nothing but an editorial against selecting Hillary Clinton for the running mate.
They could have just stuck a scandisk into Keith Olbermann's computer (in his sick mind) and downloaded it.
Woman is not the nigger of the world as far as I know but she is certainly the nigger of America.
You know my other nigger is the Guru!
The Guru is the real nigger of the World but Johnny had a bad one so he hung the rap on woman.
I really not a friend of Johnny's just in case you though I wsa.

Washington Post on Taylor Marsh
Above is the Post's coverage of Taylor Marsh.
Apparently here real name is Michelle Marshall.
I went to go buy her book when I read about it called My Year in Smut and I got distracted and wanted to buy a book on the Devi Mahatmyam.
Now I am wondering if they have that book in the library.

Have I ever told you about when I first started with Siddha Yoga how the mantra Om Namah Shivaya turned into I'm in a Marsh Fire?
Dullsville, early 80's.

O'Bamma wins
There you go. The Irish man wins.

An Egghead for the White House by Eugene Robinson
Mohammed was an ignorant man, as was Ramakrishna. Their stature is high above that of the intellectual in my opinion.

It's a wonder John Kerry, whom many considered an intellectual had plenty to say about Broadway plays and Hollywood movies but nothing about my Siddha Yoga.

How revealing the western prejudice is.

Reflecting on this later it came to me that eggheads all seemed to be men. It's the syntax of sexism.

I would suggest Mr. Robinson check out some of the new views on I.Q. as well. It may not be accurately reflected in standardized tests.

Emily's List Opinion
I just sent a letter to CNN from Emily's List about sexist commentary.
Words like DOUBLE STANDARD are coming back to me and I'm remembering how Bill Clinton had a three way race in '92 and then in '96 cruised to re-election.
At issue in '96 was his choice for campaign manager, Dick Morris. Dick played both sides of the field. He managed Jesse Helms campaign. Mother Jones objected. They brought out a lot of statistics to say that President Clinton could continue his leftward tilt and still win.
Nobody knew, that is reported, on his propensity for sexual philandering.
Was it some coincidence that that was when the President and Miss Lewinsky saw something in each other?
I don't figure he can blame anybody but himself for what happened but I don't think have Morris around helped him any.
He beat Dole-Kemp handily, indeed, but was the price his impeachment?
Many offered the same attitude to Hillary when her run for the nomination began. Blowout stuff. Well, she was ahead, yes, but I think there was created a false bottom, a false image of political power. Did they want her to look like Johnson? I remember often that Bill did.
Now that LBJ is dead I feel sorry for the man. Had I been a grown man maybe I would have voted for him but he didn't fare well being compared to Kennedy. At least not in my mind. My momma was the Irish, my dad the southern. The assasination was like losing my mother subconsciously. Kennedy stirred me on to physical education, being physically fit. I'm not trying to remember but maybe that was where I lost my enthusiasm of gym.
Oh, well, what were we talking about? Oh, yeah, how this would be easy for the powerful Johnson girl, oh, that is Mrs. Clinton.
Maybe it's a look all the democrats get when they are favored. LBJ did beat Goldwater but I think the assasination took the GOP by surprise. I think they were looking for JFK to run against. Goldwater looks different in that respect doesn't he?
I sent that letter about commentary to CNN but I have a conflict personally. I watch Playboy TV where there is much use of vulgar and sexist, I guess, language. Violent language really, such as suck my cock you bitch and so forth. I don't hear them say whore very much but I guess if I watch enough.
There are those who would like a more sensitive erotica with love and beauty in the sex instead of violence and vulgarity. There was something in a magazine called Loving More about something like that. I was a low income subscriber to Loving More for a long time.
But Playboy TV is the only network that offers the image of the penis and the vagina doing what they like to do. The men are all beefy and the women cosmo, but it's all there is.

HillBuzz blog spot
Women have not been in the position of power long enough to be killed.
To really think of a great woman who died a martyr I have to think of Joan of Arc!!!
Burned at the stake by the holy and apostolic catholic church.
She doesn't get much video and she is not the lamb who takes away the sins of the world, but a hero nonetheless, don't you think?
Actually, women get a special word for their heroes, they are called heroines.
One might even think of born again christianity as a sexist institution. It replaces a man as foremost in our thinking. All of these fellows like Jimmy Carter and Bob Dylan who are born again might give that idea some contemplation. Is the Lord I worship really just the male dominant society I have grown up in?
I think Hillary is really getting her .75 put to her. She's missing a quarter on this dollar!!!
Her life is as much on the line as anybody's out there. Or are we trying to say nobody HATES women?
I was astonished by a man I gave a ride to see Maharaji in Ft. Lauderdale. We were on our way back and I suppose he noticed my Hillary for President bumper stickers and he said to me kind of out of the blue, "I don't like women?"

And that's the thing about HATE, you don't understand it. You have no idea where it is coming from.
I also followed a woman Guru before I received knowledge. I received knowledge because I had heard of it for so many years and Maharaji doesn't like you to accept knowledge because you are curious but I was and I was receptive to his statement, "I can help."
Another interesting point on political assasination is all these big men commanding Hillary Clinton to get out of the race.
Don't they wonder if that might inspire some misogynistic lunatic to grab a gun and get her out of the race with it?

You mention Kennedy and Obama salivates. I don't see any comparison between the Kennedys and Obama nor do I see one with Martin Luther King.

MLK may have spoken well and eloquently but it was his actions that made him the great personality that he was.

So too with JFK and RFK. Obama hasn't DONE NOTHIN'! as Stevie Wonder says in his song.
He's just a picture, a character in a book.
What the hell has he done but make a speech at the Democratic convention in 2004?

They did not allow Hillary to speak at that convention!!! Figure that!!! And she did a lot to help!!! I would have loved to hear her!!!

Could it have been sexism at work again? A leading candidate should Kerry lose in 2004, she is overlooked.
She was not allowed the position of Inpirer.
Suppose they were too involved in their pissing contests?

What enemies?
Your enemies will tell you they are your friends but you'll always know.
My brother was down here from North Carolina, feigning ignorance, pretending to be a friend.
He picked up his father's shotguns.
He visited our other brother Bill and he chuckled and talked about our Uncle Al with whom he suddenly appears to have some kind of special relationship.
Sort of like some people and Jesus. They are born again. They've "found" him. They have a relationship with HIM.
People in Siddha Yoga can be like that.
They think they are more special to Gurumayi than anybody else.
John, my brother, is an Air Force veteran but he told me coming home from our other brother's house that he wanted to be a marine and a paratrooper. And this has been popular for decades - he wanted to go to Vietnam.
This is the bullshit ever since our Aunt Marguerite called his wife a liar for saying he was asleep one time when she called. I was the eye witness to his probably not being asleep. So, wife, Maria, was a liar.
It was kind of cold of Aunt Marguerite but she was our mother's little sister and we didn't have a lot of intimate relationships in our family. Mom and Aunt Marguerite used to have ice cream sodas together at a place in Greenpoint called Van Dolen's. They were very close and I wasn't going to lie because it was convenient. John wasn't sleeping. He was just lying down. Maria figured he didn't want to talk to Aunt Marguerite so she lied. It was a small white lie but a lit nonetheless.
My father was a good liar I know and I lied my share about being sick for school and about doing naughty things but John claiming he wanted to be a marine, a paratrooper and go to Nam is complete and utter bullshit.
He joined to avoid the war. It was 1962 and that's what he and his friends all said was that they wanted to avoid the war which was in the air at the time.
Well, I was only 9 at the time.
The escalation of Vietmam didn't happen until 1965. John got out in 1966. He wasn't in any hurry to sign up for another hitch.
John, who thought they should have killed the black rioters in Watts in the 60's, supported George Wallace, was for a large invasion of North Vietnam like Douglas McArthur, his hero, did North Korea and opposes affrimative action likes John Edwards. John lives in North Carolina. North Carolina is a red state.
John says while we are at Bill's house that Hillary is only ahead in the popular vote when you don't count the caucuses.
That through me. I had never heard that. And it wasn't that he was just mistaken. This was a talking point, some bullshit they are really trying to sell.
Hillary is only ahead when you count Michigan and Florida.
You can include your caucuses.
But he said he didn't care to get involved with politics. He and Maria were Independents.
Didn't seem like it when he started talking at Bill's. Sounded like he was there to do some Edwards dirty work. Put Obama in the White House. Make this nomination a lock.
That's family.
Mom died a year and a half ago so we applied a whole new veneer to our outsides.
Whatever he did to get us involved in Iraq is all behind us. Now he is an Edwards. Edwards, who was the alternative to Bob Graham for the southern vote.

Do people talk behind your back. Do they wait until you leave and then share with their compadres what they really think of you?
There's a lot of that in my family.
It avoids the boxing matches but it's how we feel about each other.

It's just that I've been deserted by my peers. My friends have run and now I have nothing but the shitty family.
So I have to live with it. But boy what a killer.
Johnny, as my uncle calls him, has had a heart bypass but he continues to smoke.
When his wife mentioned it when they had visited just before mom died, I didn't believe it. But apparently it's true.
So who cares. Let it kill him.
I really don't care.
And isn't it just a little curious that John and Maria visit and mom has a stroke not long after?
They hadn't come to Florida in decades.
Mom wanted a loan to pay her taxes, but the big North Carolinian didn't have the money.
Just like his old man.
Same mannerisms, same style as that old pervert.
I just wish I could get the bastard out of my mind.

The Official Web Site of SIDDHA YOGA
Taylor Marsh is all upset about disparaging remarks about Sen. Kennedy at her web site.
It doesn't mean much to me.
I checked to see if he was okay and he was.
Someone remarked about this being the judgment of God for endorsing Obama.
I didn't think anything of it except that I don't believe God affects our health. I don't think, and the URANTIA BOOK agrees with me, that because your son smokes God gives him cancer. I thinking smoking does it.
I had some more thoughts later about God. I have them frequently. This time it was about DEBATE! Debating is the American Way isn't it? I give a little money, I'm actually a member of People for the American Way and I haven't heard them speak out about candidate Obama's refusal to debate, but you know maybe it isn't the American Way to DEBATE!
For instance there is no debate about the Guru and Meditation, it is clearly inferior to Christ and His Church.
The other day I was watching a show featuring some Franciscan priests. You know they said the immaculate conception actually refers to Mary. Her birth was immaculate somehow, I forget why. I think somehow she is not just one of us sinners or was not. I don't get it. My GURU tells me I AM NOT A SINNER, so I don't even go there.
It's a controversial thing to the church but you won't see any DEBATING of it. Not even on 300 channels of television.
During Katrina Jon Stewart had to ask what the hell did Dalai Lama have to do with all this shit in New Orleans? Who the hell got him involved? But he brought in some psychic or someone who claimed to belong to what might be called the Consciousness movement and she said this had something to do with consciousness to which Jon said and I will paraphrase because I don't remember the sill woman or the exact show, "You mean what I think" or what I think? And she said yes.
Jesus, Jon Stewart had me there, consciousness is what you think. It wasn't until I had read Adidam Samraj that I was told the point of people who believe in this Sat - Chit - Ananda, Being Consciousness and Bliss, that CONSCIOUSNESS PRECEDES OUR MIND.
Consciousness was before we were.
Now there is a man who would debate NIETSCHE and THE CHURCH.
In case you want a debate with him his name is ADIDAM SAMRAJ. You can find his website at www.adidam.org.
But to get back to the Franciscans, they also had a problem with eastern meditation influencing Christian meditation. Summing up, they were all about form. Rupa they call it in India. When they meditate they visualize Christ or Mary and so forth. Small point but they had to make comments about being without personality and impersonal.
Big Issues to me. Issues that should be debated with those who know something about them!!!
When will we see such DEBATES on American TV?
Now, did I blow off Sen. Kennedy. I admit I am not such a fan as I once was of his. MY MOTHER had a stroke and DIED. She was paralyzed on her right side or SUFFERING FROM RIGHT NEGLECT as the THERAPY HOSPITAL said.
She slept and didn't want to get up to do her THERAPY.
Sometimes she downright cried it was so HARD.
They call these towns that we live in sleepy little southern towns and indeed I am almost dependant on melatonin to get to sleep. Yeah, I depended on mom and when she was so tired I slept too. She went to the doctor for her "fatigue" but the Doc couldn't figure it out. She gave her B12 shots. They didn't work according to mom.
Yeah, I guess I'm a lazy bum but I couldn't get work. Was it because I had long hair? You know I'm a big fan of George Thorogood's Get a Haicut and get a Real Job, but getting haircuts is something my father did and I never got the hang of it.
So unemployment.
Maybe there was something more to why I could never be hired. Ask MONEY Town as Gainesville was called in the 90's I think. Best place in the world to live according to MONEY MAGAZINE.
I live 20 miles away with my mom and until '92 my father.
That's when he died.
Yeah, so we didn't quite see a stroke coming on the 89 year old woman we loved. That's something we will have to live with. We let ourselves go uneducated.
We studied computers instead of health, maybe that's it.
Big industry in Gainesville, the health.
Hospitals and all.

So, Senator Kennedy.
I'm not the type to wish him dead. His mother lived to be a hundred years old.
Isn't that something? Isn't that a blessing?
But they tell me people who have a lot of money DO live longer.
I would have liked my mother to live longer.
No big thing but although she appeared to talk to nobody sometimes I thought she was pretty allright.
Phone calls disturbed her.
You know all the people we were comfortable with seemed to have left us in 1978. We were left alone with DAD.
DAD didn't like any Kennedy's of any sort.
He belonged to a Masonic Lodge that had the same feelings. NO black men allowed in this lodge. No black men allowed in all of Freemasonry. Blacks have their own Lodge called Prince Hall and according to the Masons both the black men and the white men like it that way.
An adjunct to the Lodge was created for women called The Eastern Ster and mom belonged to that. She joined when we moved to Florida. She was encouraged, that is, to join when we moved to Florida where, DAD'S people live.
DAD was a 50 year Mason.
I was so lonely in the 80's that I joined DAD'S Lodge.
It must have been 1982, the year that Baba Muktananda died, by some coincidence, because I got a pin, last year I think, maybe the year before, that said I was a 25 year man.
I do little more than pay dues - which have gotten a little exorbitant of late - and it was really MOM who did that.
My BROTHER JOHN, just came down for a visit and he took me in his new Toyota Avalon over to see my BROTHER BILL. Bill is our step-brother.
For some reason, which I think is lack of a marriage certificate, John shared the same name as Bill for the first 21 years of his life.
We shared some chitchat. Bill's wife Missy has a bird, a South African Grey parrot. He is quit funny. He talks incessantly unless Bill is around or someone he doesn't trust. She also has a dog named Jake and a couple of cats.
Bill has been listening to commentary on the Bible by a fellow I think is an extreme conservative but that's Bill. HE LIKED ELVIS.
You know how that is.
He and John started discussing religion after I mentioned that the Franciscans had said that the Immaculate Conception referred to Mary not to Jesus. I never mentioned the comments on meditation. They know I'm the Guru man.
I've never seen Ted Kennedy around a Guru though.
As big and important as he is.
The most liberal, etc.
Still he is no Jerry Brown, right?
That's Jerry's problem, right? NOT a little MEDFLY, but Baba Muktananda.
That seems like the statement to me.
There's the tolerance I see from Senator Kennedy.
There's his nobility!
I've read about Krishna's in Boston. There is an anchor man from Boston who is big in Siddha Yoga, Lester Strong.
Who knows him?
And who knows Eugene Callendar a black preacher from Harlem who saw Baba at Carnegie Hall and liked what he saw or what he heard.
He started a church in Harlem that included the Siddha Yoga teachings.
There have been no news stories about on MSNBC.
Maybe Jon Stewart can make fun of it on the Comedy Channel. That would be his kind of love and sincerity.
What a JOKE, Jesus and the Guru!!!
Ha Ha Ha!
So, it's not a liberal thing to do to follow the Guru. It's not liberal to chant Hare Krishna or watch a video of Adidam.
There are no Adidam devotees living in the closet in Hollywood.
This Huffington woman from Huffpo, when she was married to the Senate candidate, a repuglican as the term has been coined, she got involved with Siddha Yoga. It even made their magazine, the one that I loved until it suddenly shrunk one day, DARSHAN.
I've never heard her or anyone else ever query her about Guru Bhakti or some shit like that.
Sex, sex, sex, that's all they can talk about and certainly the Kennedy's have given their support to that, but a politician or celebrity following a Guru is just fucking nuts.
I saw Shirley McLaine on Jay Leno one night explaining the chakra system. That's what it's all about, isn't it, but you know if you talk to that FAT KID, who made that BIG SPLASH, in the seventies and YOU SAY, called himself GOD, he will DEBATE that there even is such a thing as a chakra.
It's just symbolic to him.
The third eye he has called a symbol of seeing beyond the material world.
Gurumayi would say his Knowledge is a way of raising the Kundalini that she teaches about.
They have differences and similarities.
So, Ted Kennedy. He hasn't helped me with my SADHANA.
He has helped I think with getting people to say, "What the Hell is SADHANA?"
It's ok. I can feel that way about anybody.
I wonder if you knew about Geraldine Ferraro's disease? They have found a treatment for her deadly disease. Yeah, it's old news but it could have been brought up when she became a controversy.
It would have BROUGHT ATTENTION, to curing, cure, cures.
That's what Adidam and others from the EASTERN world mention, giving attention.By giving attention to that which is bad we invite the bad in. I know it's hard to avoid but that's why the GURU is there.
And you know about President Clinton's heart?
Hillary mentions him eating some barbecue in North Carolina.
Is he ALLOWED to eat barbecue? It's loaded with salt and there is usually some high blood pressure problems with hearts.
I know, I had a heart attack in 2004. Right in the middle of the presidential campaign. At about the same time that Marlon Brando died.
Taylor Marsh keeps talking about drinking at her website.
I hope she is not an alcoholic. You know they often go off the deep end on issues. I would suppose drug dependent people do that to.
Siddha Yoga said Baba was very good with getting people free of their addictions whether they be drugs or other things.
Some people talk about television or the Internet. It could be they would call anything an addiction. It may be a form of manipulation, but drinking and indulging in drugs like ecstasy and the rest is not like enjoying the few luxuries in your life so I would warn those at the TM blog to watch the drinks and watch the gambling, too.
And me, I like erotic movies. All I hear is how it debases women. I even hear about it causing Ted Bundy, but you know, you are depriving me of a livelihood over something like my lack of a work history or the length of my hair or some other personal thing you cannot tolerate so who are you to talk.

Vegetarianism is the new Prius
With the primary in West Virginia being big news I had to go visit Prabhupada's Palace of Gold.
Looks like some place I would like to visit some day soon.
Afterward I was drawn to look at ISKCON News and watched some videos.
I could almost get into this ecstatic chanting except that it seems to miss one important feature, my friends.
Maybe this is the lesson to learn from all this.
Something I said to mom when she was leaving this world was she was my friend.
I also said I loved her and I would always love her.

Bush vs. McCain
I did very poorly on the test linked above.
Why don't you try it?

Candidates I.Q.
Looks like Hillary has the highest I.Q.
And I saw a comment at Marsh that Otis Moss called Abraham a pimp. Otis Moss is the new pastor at Trinity United Church in Chicago where Barack Obama is a member in good standing.
I have my own view of Abraham from the Urantia Book which was "revealed" by the way in Chicago, Ill. The Urantia Book says Abraham was a very jealous man, jealous of Sarah and that his many wars of which I am totaly unfamiliar not having been a good christian boy all my life, i.e. attending Sunday School and the like, were actually begun over his wife, Sarah.
This is where TruthBook.com sent me. when I searched for Abraham and Sarah.

Krugman
Paul Krugman says Florida and Michigan have to be seated but I don't see seating them after they make no difference to the race.
Anything else is just a farce.

Obama's Other Radical Friends - WSJ
Oh, the Prozac girl. Isn't she a good writer?
That's what all the teachers told us when we went to school. In those days, when I was 17 I read a book called The Strawberry Statement. I am reminded.
But I wonder how they staged that now. You know the big scene with the demonstration at the end. They were pretty violent on those rich kids, but did they all go on to the Weathermen? Even Abbie Hoffman, I know, another one of the famous historical characters and not just one who got his head busted, was he a bomber? Did he advocate the Days of Rage?
Remember R.P.M. with Anthony Quinn hungering after a younger Ann-Margret was it? Oh how we wished Elvis would join us in our revolution. But El wasn't young anymore. Another fairy tale movie about the protest movement. Apparently he was a "radical" and became president of the university. Wouldn't that make you proud of America, but he had to talk to these new young radicals and his hots for young Ann got in the way. Or was it Ann?
Anyway, I have said before that I thought SDS stood for democracy not Marxism. I was really uneducated on the term. Perhaps the word democracy was lost in translation in Maoism and whatever the North Koreans call their system.
Yes, I remember those days well. Will Simon & Garfunkel come out and reveal their associations with Obama? They were the real college kids weren't they? They were intelligent and thoughtful and against the war but they didn't go making bombs nor did they advocate it.
But what did we know about making bombs and setting them off? We who were just teenagers listening to college aged folk performers. Or folk-rock, wasn't it. But we would go to college someday.
The problem is that Dohrn and Ayers who do not deserve to know a presidential candidate because they were violent protesters. We have been through so many radical turns. It is amazing that Obama does not support Gay Marriage although he does acquaint himself wih Ayers and Dohrn.
Now aren't the Gays and Lesbians some radical people? I haven't heard of any associations with them so far. The most radical group I have heard of is Act Up. They Gays and Lesbians were very active in getting some research done on AIDS in the 80's and Act Up came about. Have there been associations with them? They don't have the same legacy as war protesters do. Nor do I know of any bombings they have committed.
Not long ago in 1999 there were riots in Seattle over the World Trade Organization. Some wondered if the same group had attacked the Twin Towers in 2001. They were that radical. It was a devil of a time back then.
There are also violent radicals among the environmentalists. I'm not talking about some crazy antics of Green Peace but about people blowing up ski lodges in Colorado which I read about in Mother Jones, a magazine that finds Hillary too moderate to endorse. I guess they do have their image, and their subscribers to think about.
We have to be sensitive to violent radicals on the left and right. What if McCain had associations with Waco nuts or some of the other right wing militias. We haven't been talking much about them for about 8 years.
These things are serious and shouldn't be characterized as interesting social lives. People can be deceived especially people in universities who like to believe everything is allright.
Ayers and Dohrn got their positions because they are children of the rich and not because they protested the war and have deep feelings about the pain that young people experience in America. If you think sleeping with a prostitute or being gay like the Governor of New Jersey admitted is a serious offence requiring removal from office maybe you should look into associations with dangerous people.
Powerful people can offer great cover for crooks so why not terrorists?

Stop-Obama
There is a quote in the article linked above by David Axelrod that the white working class has gone to the Republicans for years, even in the Clinton years.
What is he talking about the GOP's southern strategy or something? That's more than the working class. I'm from the unworking class and I support Hillary Clinton for President.
Does Axelrod expect to win without it?
How do they talk about winning red states like Virginia without it?
I think in their mind they have Virginia as a trade for Florida because they certainly are not going to take Florida. They also insist that N.Y. and California are a gimme for any Democrat but just watch John McCain shake and shimmy to get them.
There was a Governor in N.Y. named Pataki not long ago and one in California named Schwartzaneggar. We had made great progress throughout the nation until personal ambition destroyed our party. Many had actually believed the Democrats had the people's interests at heart but it looks now like it is I, Me, Mine in the Democratic Party and that could spell d-e-f-e-a-t. Never mind though as long as we have something to bitch about while we are out of power.

Make Michigan and Florida count.
Above is a petition to be sent to the DNC to make Florida and Michigan count.
I hope you'll sign it and add your comments.
It is totally unfair that we should be removed from the rolls so to speak. It is precedent setting. Soon they will be finagling any way they can to eliminate states from participating in the process.
This is a power that should not rest in one little man or woman's hands.

Hillary is 44
They are pretty keyed up at Taylor Marsh and other blogs that defend and promote Hillary Clinton so I thought I would put this at my own blog.
I've been chanting the Guru Gita lately and a hymn of devotion to Mahalakshmi and I'm feeling pretty good.
I was just thinking about the separation of church and state thing and how that always comes up when I speak about a Guru with someone who is liberal politically. I don't mind the issue although it is said that the yoga is not a religion but a science. I will let it go that they think it is a religious persuasion originating in Hinduism and sometimes in Buddhism but it bothers me that they it becomes just a political stance and none take the Guru to heart. None flatter in any way the Guru. None give you that getting beyond the mind and the personality, the ego might be where God really exists.
Al Gore visited a Buddhist Temple and the news that came out of that was that he was raising money for his campaign there. He has apologized for how much raising money for campaigns runs politics these days and I appreciate that. What he has done for the earth lately on global warming is a great thing, but I would like to see him with Gurumayi some day. Perhaps with that little red spot of cumcum between his eyes. I would feel more like I had a friend in Al then.
Is meditation like drugs or something? Is it sleeping with a prostitute? Is it realizing you are Gay?
Why are we shunned in America? Why isn't meditation a household word? Why must people fumble and stumble over names like Muktananda, Adidam, Krishna or Shiva? Why must christians continue to come to the conclusion that we think "we are God."
What an excellent place to come to after totally ignoring a follower of Gurumayi. One christian told me she looked like a boy. It is inevitable that I am asked when they finally acknowledge the presence of her pictures, "Who is she?"
Shirley McClaine followed Baba but I guess these people would have a hard time even knowing who she is? Who? Shirley McClaine. Actress. Hollywood.
I guess that's why a christian like Obama can give the finger while talking about Hillary being in her element. It just has no real meaning.

Devi Mahatmyam
I was reading a book called "Encountering the Goddess, A Translation of the Devi Mahatmya and a study of Its Interpretation" by Thomas B. Coburn which I bought from SYDA a long time ago.
I have been chanting the Shri Mahalakshmyastakam lately and sometimes the Guru Gita. The last time I chanted the Shri Mahalakshyastakam I was not impressed with my devotion and dedication. I was just chanting because I was intent on chanting it every day as the chant itself says it should be chanted.
I have also been impressed in my mind by the verse in the Guru Gita, verse 35, that says, "Salutations to Shri Guru. In order to receive the true understanding of the world,(I consider you to be) my father, my mother, my brother and my God."
So, I also have had some political thought. I really believed that Mayi gave some help in Hillary's wins in Ohio and Texas and now that the great crying out over misogyny is occurring it was I suspect only natural that this hymn should come up.
The hymn, whose sanskrit version I am unable to find is said to have some very beneficent effects on those who have used it. The book on the Goddess by Thomas Coburn says that this hymn is the first evidence of a concept of God in the Indian tradition that spoke of the Goddess with a capital G instead of a small g. The belief is that this has something to do with the mixture of Aryan and Non-aryan beliefs as one culture was not obliterated nor was it completely absorbed by the other.
You should go visit the site above which I have only today discovered. It's called Music India Online. The link above is to the Devi Mahatmyam but there are a lot more great Indian chants there.

Democrat Taylor Marsh
I used to watch Keith Olbermann's Countdown.
Don't anymore.
But I was thinking he seems to think he has the people's interest when he damns Hillary.
I was just over at Taylor Marsh and there was a poster who had an e-mail conversation with Donna Brazile.
It gets pretty ugly especially concerning race and "the Clintons."
I'm thinking a lot of this racism shit is because Mr. Clinton is a southerner and of course Hillary was the First Lady of Arkansas. I think a clever black campaign could use it against any of them, meaning southerners, no matter what they had done, no matter what fights they had fought.
But, I was just wondering if Keith Olbermann would like to discuss the campaign with the sports heroes he used to cover like Magic Johnson, who supports Hillary or Keyshawn Johnson who stumped for Hillary in Mississippi. And why not?

HillBuzz - Homophobic Pastor Meeks.
I don't why I continue to delude myself that anybody reads my Pitas blog, but I do.
Did you hear Howard Stern on Taylor Marsh speak about Wright and Obama?
Check it out.

Wayne Barrett: Could Republicans Pick the Democratic Nominee
I had been wondering about the facts concerning our state's being unrepresented in the Democratic Party's selection of a nominee.
I had wondered about specifics and the article above cleared it up a bit for me. Finally.
It seems New Hampshire got some preferred treatment as did Iowa and South Carolina. They moved their primaries up but were not punished for it.

Krugman - Loans and Leadership
I was watching the basketball game today, Davidson vs. Kansas and being quite disturbed over the election where race has been a big issue I don't feel the same about basketball as I used to. Like promoting the Giants to be representatives of Hillary Clinton in basketball every black college student appears to be an Obama man.
It made me sour on black people and I thought to myself sarcastically, the good and virtuous negro american. And then I thought to myself, where is he?
I thought of Eugene Robinson whom I saw on a new TV program hosted by David Gregory. He's Obama. He is likely to speak about being an Uncle Tom and I thought to myself and what is that, someone who works, who doesn't wait on some utopian dream to come true. It was some of my own identity coming through. The radical identity although I think maybe it's more of an idealist identity because it looks to me like radicals are a lot more clever than I ever was. I see radicals prospering, winning. They have jobs and support whatever beliefs they have with their working. I wonder how much of an oreo they had to be to get those jobs.
So, I'm wondering about the fear of being branded an oreo, or an Uncle Tom and I am thinking about the good and virtuous negro. Could it be that some black people are good and virtuous and some are not? Yes, of course that's true and we shouldn't judge basketball teams by how many black people are on the teams but on how virtuous those people are. How kind are they too you? Isn't that the christian virtue, kindness?
I have been unhappy with many of the Obama supporters on TV and how they scream about some grievance they have. They are uncivil and appear to be on the brink of fist fighting. I don't need that.
But I have to think twice about labeling every black person an Obama democrat who will do anything to win the democratic nomination for president.

Hillary on Greta Van Susteren
Short interview with Greta Van Susteren of Fox News in the link above.
I should have found something more appropriate. I'm nearing the end of my funds and I think I get what the mortgage foreclosure thing is like. I have a home left to me by my mom - to live in she said in her will but she didn't know that I would be without work for so long and I would be depending on her and her funds would dwindle until they are now just this house.
I've given lots of thoughts to the house, to sell it or not to sell it and it seems like I can't sell it. It's not a good market for houses. I don't know what I could get and whether I would have to move out of the house or whatever so .... I don't know.
It reminds me of the days in the depression when the banks took people's houses because they couldn't pay the mortgage. I'm in a similar situation. I can't afford to go on without a job.

Obama andWright and the Donkey in the Living Room.
Boy, I just read a post at Democratic Daily that had some links I had never seen before. One was for a T-shirt that said Bro's before Ho's. It had a picture of Obama for Bro and Hillary for Ho.
I've heard about sexism in the black community before and anti-semitism but this would have to offend women anywhere.

Job.com
Above is a job search engine to which I subscribe.
I don't usually like the Info Tech jobs they offer. I always feel like I should be a guy who lives in a suit. And I think I should be 20 to 30 years younger.
And that brings me to another issue I guess they are leaving out in this campaign for the Democratic nomination and maybe they are leaving it out because it impacts the general election against McCain, maybe not. It's AGEISM!!!
And after that there should be a prejudice called EXPERIENCISM.
Being inclined to the cynical side I might say that I live in an area where prejudice is good. Maybe it wasn't an area but a mental condition to hear my Siddha friends put it.
I guess at the mental health clinic they would call it paranoia.

Taylor Marsh
The lead over at Taylor is the breach of the passport records. Employees of a firm called Analysis, inc., headed by an adviser to the Obama campaign are responsible.
Also, Bill Richardson says Obama's speech made him give support. Funny, I was thinking he would make a great running mate for Hillary and I read about his nomination for the Nobel Peace Prize 4 times. I read something about his ability to empathize with the worst of characters. He's against the death penalty.
Taking a more cynical look, perhaps it was Hillary not giving much attention to Richardson for the VP spot that made him turn. I saw some excellent coverage of Hillary in Indiana with former Gov. Evan Bayh and it could be that's the way she is leaning.

Fact Check
I was just watching at HillarySpeaksforMe.com a video of the candidates standing together for the Star Spangled Banner, our national anthem.
Maybe I've said before I don't like the Star Spangled Banner so much, I think America the Beautiful is a better song, and I am one who might not put my hand over my heart for the song or sing it, but I'm not running for president or a senator from on the big industrial states in America. Obama does not hold his hand over his heart for the national anthem.
Does this kind of thing prove he's got balls or something?
I imagine Senator Obama responding to questions about this episode in the way that the late Gilda Radner in one of her characters used to say, - "It's Always Somethin'."
Why can't they just leave him alone or "let him really get down and do his own thing." as Sly Stone said at Woodstock.
I guess I'm a typical white person in saying that I see that as a kind of Nero kind of thing. Will Obama do his own thing while Washington burns?

Chicago Sun Times blogger
I've been reading some of the Chicago Sun Times. I started with Rezko as I read an article at HillBuzz that Obama was linked in court to a bribe or something that Rezko made putting people on the Health Board. It said Obama was consulted about who to put on the Health Board.
So, I went to the Sun Times and there I found some links to Rev. Wright. He is to appear in Houston. He has appeared there and given sermons annually. So, his career goes on.
Some great things were said at HillBuzz about Obama and his speech. Nowhere does he denounce Marxist Black liberation theology.
So, at Chicago Sun Times a nice woman of a minority descent finds it hard to believe the senator was not aware of the reverend's fire brand sermons, including naturally the beliefs espoused in them. And CLICK! That's just it. How do you not know the man? You all know about Gurumayi. I've followed her for years. If you were to tell me she was anything but demure and quiet I would find that hard to believe. She is that kind of person. I know her.
But I am not a big famous person. I'm one of probably hundreds of thousands who have seen her in person and been exposed to Siddha Yoga. Maybe millions know of Siddha Yoga and have seen her on tapes or DVDs.
Had this man made tapes and DVDs for sale I suppose the whole world would know who Senator Obama is affiliated with.

The Herald Bulleting - Editorial
In the link above Evan Bayh, former Governor of Indiana is mentioned as a possible vice-presidential candidate with Hillary.
Boy, what a peace message!
His father was one of the leading spokesmen against the Vietnam War.

Emily's List
He says a thing like this about Hillary Clinton, "she's a smart lady."
Is that supposed to be a compliment?!!!
My girlfriend used to hate the word lady. She was a woman she said. She also didn't care to be called girl, or a girl.
I took these to be feminist principles.
And naturally when he says smart you get the distinct idea he means cunning.
I do also get the impression he is trying to address some rather simple people.

HillBuzz
Now they are talking about Obama describing his grandmother as a "typical white" person. She is typical he says in that she fears black men walking down the street.
I think I just saw that in a movie recently. Oh, yeah, it was the Academy Award winning "Crash."
I didn't think Sandra Bullock or her husband Brandon Fraser were so typical but among some people who gain power in, not just our country but the whole free world.
They were politically expedient and in love with wealth.
Did somebody miss that?
But, of course the senator was speaking from his own experience and not out of some daze of Hollywood stereotyping. Isn't that right?

HillaryClinton.com - Welcome
Isn't it funny how all the dialogue about Texas,Ohio and Rhode Island was about the NAFTA gaff and Rezko and other Obama mistakes but few have credited Hillary's self-effacing comments at the end of the Texas debate for these victories.
Obama could only speak for himself. He had to talk about his roots and, I don't remember but were his dreams and aspirations at issue? The same thing happened when he had to speak about Rev. Wright unless you think he was defending black people everywhere. He spoke about himself and his campaign, his roots.
I wonder why he couldn't give it up for the vice-presidential nomination. Perhaps in the light of Wright and his rejection of the offer the offer has been taken back. I'm not a history student but when Obama talks about a front runner, the leader in delegates not taking an offer of the vice-presidency it strikes me as a narrow mind. The importance of bringing our soldiers home from Iraq might be more important than Obama's aspirations, global warming, gay rights and opportunities, our economy, the universal health care. What he describes as change, are they not worth making a sacrifice at this early stage of his political career?
Wouldn't that be a change for a politician to think of someone other than himself?
Surely Mr. Obama will turn that around and say Ms. Clinton should think thus but that's not change. That's the same old political game.
Mr. Bush in 2000 could not let Florida recount its votes. His own greed for personal glory stood in the way of his doing the honorable thing and letting the votes be counted fairly.
He had to sue to make sure the votes were not counted. Was he fairly sure that the republican dominated supreme court would take his case and find in his favor? They did albeit corruptly, overruling Florida's own courts.
Is it different politics when Obama fights revotes in Michigan and Florida? Is it new politics when he fights on after losing in Ohio and Texas and being disgraced by this Wright thing?
Our soldier sacrifice their lives for another people's freedom but Sen. Barack Obama cannot sacrifice to bring them home.

University of Florida
Seems like ages since I saw the University as a place to see concerts and hear important celebrities speak.
Since I was suspended for failure to maintain a C. An odd phrase because I never had a C to maintain.
And then mom took me to the Alachua County Mental Health Clinic where mostly they just told me to go back to school.
That went on for about a decade.
Now my mom is gone and I don't have her paychecks to live on anymore and I think, how I hate the Internet because I have applied for job after job online and I often never even get a reply which is true too of jobs I apply for in person.
Today I considered going back to a place called ONE STOP which is associated with my community college. It was my haircut. Somehow because my hair is cut ONE STOP will find me a job this time. :D
Maybe not!
There was a black fellow named Lennon helped me one time and last time I took the TABE (Test in Adult Basic Education) all over again.
I had considered becoming a teacher's assistant, the education for which was only available at the University of South Florida (highly recommended). But I didn't want to move away from mom.

Taylor Marsh on Dan Abrams network television show.
It's raining here tonight. I went to my Stick With It class tonight. Just one or two more. Probably two so I'll be done on Monday night.
Thought you would like to see this argument with Dan Abrams that Taylor had.
I wonder if Abrams could possibly consider that both the fact that Hill was ahead in the polls and that the boys club is sexist could have been at play at that debate?
Any maybe the evidence is in Tim Russert's history with the sexes.
My meditations, not the transcendental kind, have often brought me to consider that if they want to hire minorities for a quota program, they don't deprive southerners but us transplanted New Yorkers. It's just because I've been deprived of work for so long that I say this. And you can throw hippie in there too. So discriminate on the basis of lifestyle, maybe even politics if no one is looking and everything is all right. Then campaign for a Ronald Reagan to get elected and undo all that quota bullshit.
I remember a friend of mine, my best friend's big sister Phoebe, being upset that she didn't get a promotion because there was a black person that was qualified. A black man by the way, I think. My friend's dad put all that on affirmative action but let me live in my ignorance. It was all just working the system. It was politics. Here is how I will get even with those liberal hippies. I will hire black people over them. Inevitably they are good church going conservative lifestyle black people. The days of the wild afro wearing black hippie are apparently over. There are of course the Rastas. The rastafarians succeeded the afro hippie but they are not an issue anymore - it is the gangs.
So, I must close because I heard my UPS backup on another machine beeping, meaning things may be shutting down here. I still got lights so that's a good sign, but ...

Speech
If you want to read it, or listen to it, there it is.
It's seven pages long!!! I wonder how long it took to watch.
I think he should drop out.
He's a professor of law, why does it amaze people that he can walk thin lines like he does in this speech? Taylor doesn't appreciate his mentioning Geraldine Ferraro. I think they went head hunting for Ferraro because she appeared on the HillaryClinton.com's delegate hub explaining what superdelegates were all about. If it's still there she explained that when Kennedy ran against Carter in 1980 at the convention he brought a lot of platform proposals. So many as to really confound and just because he was feeling mean is my perspective. The democrats were divided and fighting after that and Reagan won. In 1984, with Geraldine's help, the developed the system of superdelegates. Couldn't that be a good reason to bring her down.
And he suggests in his speech that Geraldine was talking about affirmative action when she said he was there because he is black. He also mentions racial guilt, that some "crazy liberals" wanted a black president. They also wanted a president against the war. And yet I read with great surprise that Mr. Obama submarined the Ned Lamont candidacy by endorsing Lieberman for the senate. Lamont won the nomination in Connecticut but Lieberman felt strong enough to make a third party run as an Independant. Independants appear to be very important to Obama's run as he procures them in every primary and even asks republicans to switch parties for a day and vote for him.
Anything to get the nomination.
In Taylor (Marsh's) podcast where I heard some of the speech I heard him also suggest that his being unconventional, which I am not so sure he is, was not an asset to him. Where as liberals may be crazy whatever he does is "unconventional" with emphasis on conventional.
Like a woman candidate is a very conventional scene.

Obama Rallies State Democrats, throw support behind Lieberman
What a total bullshit artist.
I wonder why Hillary didn't bring this up to fight his constant harping on her vote that didn't make any difference in giving Bush the power to use the military anyway.
He supported Lieberman against Lamont.

Taylor Marsh - Audio
Boy that guy can really sell himself.
A part of the speech is here at Taylor Marsh's podcast (click above).
Of course I'm talking about Obama's speech defending his relationship to his pastor (Wright).
What a cosmopolitan man he is. Relations of every race.
He seems to think we all have children though, why is that?
My mom had a phillipino cousin but I've only seen a picture of her - and when she was young.

Compares Rev. Wright to his grandmother.
I just listened - I am listening Taylor's podcast as I write - to Obama say he never heard Rev. Wright make any disparaging remark about any ethnic group in private conversation. That'a a little hard to believe.

I know racially prejudiced people who speak the same in private as they do in public.

He seems to want support because he is a black candidate. That's okay, I just can't give it to him. I liked Shirley Chisolm but I couldn't vote for her for president. Very nice woman and from Brooklyn, too. I couldn't vote for Jesse Jackson either. The big problem today is that the votes in Michigan and Florida won't count. That is Unamerican to me.
It does not matter when you vote, but THAT YOU VOTE, in America.

HillBuzz - 10 Titles for Obama's Next Book
This whole thing about Obama's reverend is weird. I would think if the man meant that much to him he would have dropped out of the race by now and try to save his senate career.
I think this thing is really going to get after him.
The thing is we all recognize it as politics.
It's black politics.
I think it unfortunate that people make politics their religion. Of course you know how I feel about Gurumayi or Adidam. I'll give you the Krishnas and Maharaj as well. They really take the heat. Never is there a time when you mention a Guru that someone doesn't immediately start talking about renunciation and I think it's unfair.
Listen to a Guru. Listen to Gurumayi. She doesn't talk that much about renunciation. She is not trying to immerse you in monkhood at first sight. She wants you to listen. She wants you to understand before you take important steps in your life.
And I've heard the scandals. Some creep says Baba was a pedophile. I don't believe him. I wonder why he waited after Baba's mahasamadhi to come out with that shit.
Another Guru I liked was smeared with claims that he slept with his staff. He was a married Guru named Yogi Amrit Desai. Although I think I would like to sleep with my staff if I had the staff he had, I don't think he had the desire for that. I believe he only wanted us to understand his Kripalu Yoga.
But do you see any of that in America. No, all you see is the political mandate, the peace, the equality - political rights, foreign affairs. These are the things that matter most to the American intelligentsia. They don't care about inner peace. Unless you mean Deepak Chopra on the Today Show. I just bought one of Deepak's books by the way. It's a commentary on death. He believes in reincarnation and explains it in those terms. I've read a very intelligent book that says reincarnation does not exist. The Urantia Book.
I can see the supporters of Obama accepting this kind of Black Panther diatribe at the establishment. I just can see the rest of America going for it.
And I don't see the Democratic Party going for it.

Florida Primary - CNN
I think I have said at this blog or another that I thought the mail in vote was sexist but I have learned that it was offered by Karen Thurman a woman I know is on our side.
At HillaryClinton.com I learned that Obama has some difficulties with this process. After reading the results of the primary which had been difficult for me because the paper to which I had subscribed along with mom for so many years and which I have now stopped my subscription to supported Obama.
If you look at the map at the site above you will notice that Mr. Obama did take my county, Alachua. BUT HILLARY TOOK THE WHOLE STATE. And quite convincingly I see. 50% in a three way race.
There is supposed to be a decision by a federal court as to whether the Democratic National Committee had a right to deny the state of Florida seating at its convention. This whole thing has been going on for quite a long time. I remember the legal action being filed. I believe it was filed before the primary, but I can't remember exactly.
It would certainly stun the world should the court decide the DNC had no right to deny Florida's seating.
Please forgive me again for calling the mail-in plan sexist.

Ferraro quits Clinton team over Obama race quip
This is a fine article I found over at Gay.com where I have a subscription. I'm bisexual.
I noted that Mr. Obama said that if it was said that Hillary was where she was because she was a woman their whole campaign would decry it. But Ms. Ferraro says that she was nominated for Vice-President because she was a woman.
Wasn't Mr. Candidate listening? Or was it convenient for him to twist the comment out of shape?
If anything happens to me because I am a New Yorker. If the "folk" around here decide it might be fair to include "Yankees" as a part of their movement toward diversity why would I deny my being a N.Y. Yankee had anything to do with my success?

The Anxiety Election
I love Paul Krugman, but I can't believe in a revote in Florida.
As Florida Democrats mentioned in my previous blog entry that would mean certain guarantees.
And as I guess you and I have figured out, it would mean more money from us supporters for more campaigning.
Obama talks about the rules but I don't think anyone was going to throw him in jail for putting his name on the ballot in Michigan or for coming to Florida to campaign. If he thinks so it only shows what a knave he is.
You know in Florida you can get a year in jail for 20 g of marijuana? Check it out at NORML.org

Florida Democrats
Just got this e-mail from the Florida Democratic Party whose chairwoman is Karen Thurman former congresswoman from a neighboring congressional district.
She won against Big Daddy Garlitz and then Jeb Bush and the republicans in the state legislature redistricted our state and she lost. Bush was so powerful I don't think anybody even noticed Karen had been defeated. I don't remember getting the story myself.
The powerful newspaper here, The Gainesville Sun, endorsed Bush for election against Buddy McKay who formerly had represented this area. Their reason for endorsing Bush over McKay was Buddy's forgiving attitude toward President Clinton.
I have heard they wish to have a revote here in Florida, but I have voted already and I remember the burn of the Gainesville Sun's endorsement of the young Sen. Obama. Fortunately us Hillraisers came away with a victory here in Florida and I think those results should count.
This is what the Florida Democrats have to say about a revote.
TALLAHASSEE - Florida Democratic Party Chairwoman Karen L. Thurman issued the following statement today on the state of the Democratic nominating process as it relates to Florida:

"The Democratic primary gets more exciting by the day. The incredible enthusiasm for these two phenomenal candidates for President continues to prove that America wants a new direction - not a third Bush term with McCain.

"We thank Governors Crist and Granholm for supporting the effort to have the votes of more than five million Democrats and Republicans from Florida and Michigan recognized. In Florida, more than 1.75 million Democrats voted, and they deserve to be heard.

"Obviously, these primaries are the talk of the political world, and some are even suggesting that Florida hold a run-off election between the top two Democratic primary vote-getters, which happen to be Senators Clinton and Obama. However, this is not a time to panic or jump to any conclusions simply because the Republicans have a nominee.

"It is important to remember that the Democratic nominating process does not end until June 10. The Florida Democratic Party continues to work with our leadership, Sen. Clinton, Sen. Obama and the Democratic National Committee to ensure this state is fully represented at the National Convention.

"We have discussed many things, ranging from the plans for the general election to a potential alternative primary to the process for appealing to the credentials committee of the National Convention to seat our delegates as currently allocated.

"It is important also that we are clear about one issue. At this time, no suggested alternative process has been able to meet three specific and necessary requirements: the full participation from both candidates, a guaranteed commitment of the millions of dollars it will cost to conduct the event and a detailed election plan that would enfranchise all Florida Democrats, including our military service members serving in Iraq, Afghanistan and elsewhere.

"The Florida Democratic Party cannot consider any alternative that does not meet these requirements. Indeed, it is very possible that no satisfactory alternative plan will emerge, in which case Florida Democrats will remain committed to seating the delegates allocated by the January 29th primary.

"We continue to move ahead with preparations for an unprecedented coordinated general election campaign. The people of Florida, like most Americans, are eager for change - not more of the same from McCain - and in November, we will make the Democratic nominee the next President of the United States of America."

Michelle Obama's Working Class Credentials
Hillary's vote. Isn't that the old flip-flop issue?
Isn't that vote what Bush used to beat Kerry?
We rarely hear about it being a republican congress or that a change of vote would not have changed a thing.
The whole issue of Bush's lying to us becomes mute. The real point is that some liberal democrats voted with the republicans, but had they changed their vote no difference would have been made.

Hillary Speaks for Me
I went to my workout this morning and I got on the treadmill and I looked up at the tvs and I got upset because there was that story about 2 brother in laws who got in a fight over the nomination and one stabbed the other. The story ended up with some guy saying he fought with relatives in Kansas and he mentioned a bet with someone, I think this was just a friend, on the nomination and that friend just conceded.

I COULD NOT BELIEVE!

pattismith.net
In 1978 I bought a record by a woman they called a poet in Newsweek. It was called Easter.
There was a song on it called Rock and Roll Nigger! and in it she repeats the word over and over. "Jimi Hendrix was a nigger, Jesus Christ and Gregor, too, Jackson Pollack was a nigger, nigger, nigger, nigger, nigger."
It wasn't a great thing to have right then. I had to been beaten up by my friends and sent back home. When I tried to hitch a ride the police would catch me and put me in jail. I had nowhere to go and I had been reading these books by Alice. A. Bailey that were predicting the reappearance of Christ. I got it into my head that I was this Christ. He was a lonely figure, wasn't he, but that wasn't the Christ I believed in.
It was a lonely age. And then the democrats got sick of the president they elected and turned on him over gas rationing. That was while he was involved in getting those famous hostages out of Iran. Teddy Kennedy ran against the sitting democratic president. He lost and soon thereafter the sitting democratic president lost, too. Then came 8 years of Reagan, followed by 4 years of Bush. Did you know it was because of that that the party created Super Delegates? There's an excellent article by Geraldine Ferraro about it at Mrs. Clinton's site. It's in the learn about delegates section.
Many in the party now would like you to think that there was no break in the action when Clinton became president. That is how true they are to their party.
You know I was just thinking, Clinton became president when my father died, 1992. In 2007, my mom died. I hated dad but I loved mom. Was mom's death the signal for the left wing of the party to go after Mrs. Clinton. HEY! What am I saying? I'm nobody.
Then came G.W. Bush. Now the black candidate for president is saying that those 8 years of Bush were no different than if you had had 8 years of the Clinton's, of which Al Gore would be a good example. You remember what they did to Al Gore? He wanted to be president, said the former San Francisco professor Stephan Gaskin. He and the Green Party did all they could to make sure that Al Gore was not made president after Clinton becaus after all the two parties were no different.
Now if Mr. Peaceman Obama can win another primary, in Texas, or Ohio, or Pennsylvania, 3 very big states, it looks like he's in like Flint.
And I hate him.
On TV tonight, I shouldn't have watched. I saw all the snippets of the closing of the debate and the smart remark about Xeroxing so I didn't need to see CNN's rerun and Donna Brazile was on giving her spin to the whole thing. You know Donna is a big shot in the party. She kept Florida from having a say when it moved it's primary up. What a nice negro woman she is, in't she?
But she appears to be just folk there on CNN.
She ain't just folk to me.
That word, though, huh. Where else did I hear that word befor it became a common couple of syllables in all the rap songs on the radios and CDs? Well, I joined the Freemasons in the 80's when I was very lonely and all there was were my mom and my dad whom I wished dead, not mom and dad, but just dad. I guess I felt sorry for wishing he were dead and believing that his life or death had anyting to do with my living and dying and to spite all the great liberal, loving hippies who ditched me back in 1978, I joined.
They said it was Okay because I wasn't a nigger.
They actually did. I hadn't heard that kind of talk in a long while, actually, I hadn't heard much talk at all except that I should go back to school where I was suspended for not making a C over many terms.
That was at the Alachua County Mental Health Clinic.
Go Back To School!
I was the Messiah but I had to go back to school. Of course being of a different faith than all the good white and black people around here I didn't call myself a Messiah I called myself an Avatar.

Maya Angelou for Hillary Clinton
This is a nice ad as well.

Hillary TV
Sometimes you see this race as a black and white thing. You think every black person you meet is of Obama. Well this is a nice video from HillaryClinton.com.
http://www.hillaryclinton.com/video/45.aspx
And by the way, did you know Rob Reiner supports Hillary?
I thought he was for Obama because last time he was for Dean.

Shakesville
Here is a great blog entry by someone called Quixote at a blog called Shakesville.
Obama used lies about his health care program in his campaign in Virginia. I suppose he continues to use them everywhere.
There is no law against it according to the Supreme Court.
Someone talks about Obama's stump speeches at Salon's Table Talk. I wonder if being accepted among so many black citizens has anything to do with why they are moved by his speeches. He speaks like Martin Luther King or Malcolm X but does he live like them. He lives in a million dollar mansion.
Someone in Houston mentioned the polls on Guilliani last year. They compared them to the polls you read about Obama now. It's still February.
I think I have the link - I can't link here as easy as at Yahoo!360.

So the gym calls the doctor and the doctor says I have to take a stress test. I go in and take the stress test. They give me the test but they don't seem to know why they are giving me the test. I want to have a letter that tells the gym I am okay to take the class.
So forget all about that. Happy, happy the old fart (I must be 20 years older than the Physician's Assistant who administered the test) won't have a heart attack if he spends some time working out. Isn't that wonderful?
But I have to call them the next week to say, hey can you give me a letter. The gym had called but they couldn't release a letter straight to the gym, the patient had to ask for it. But the patient went to get a stress test because the doctor said she couldn't give a letter unless the test was taken. LIKE they landed from Mars. I've been going to that clinic for almost 2 decades and they still call me Mr. Bryan like I'm new there.
So, with the new, we know nothing from the Hawthorne Medical Clinic, I call again and they are so nice and ask if I want to drop by and get the letter or do I want them to mail it? I say please mail it.
That was Friday. Today was Wednesday and no letter.
So plan on calling again tomorrow to ask for the letter again and plan on going there so they don't have to spend 37 cents on a stamp. Isn't that it?

Gator Cycle
I'm so busy today. I bought a bicycle from a catalog called Union Members Credit Services and the instructions are the pits. They come on one little sheet of paper. You can hardly see the diagrams and they are kind of generic, not for this particular bike but for such bikes in general. It's a hybrid road/mountain bike. It cost a pretty penny, nearly $500 and I have had a time putting it together.

And then there are the Nielsen's. I've been selected as a Nielsen family. I have satellite tv and therefore hundreds of networks.
They ask me to list them!!!
Would you believe?
And then there is the election. Super Tuesday coming up and I'm for Hillary Clinton. All I hear on television is fat cats railing against her. On her site they tell you about all the praise for her performance but on the so called objective news there is nothing but how Obama hammered Hillary for her vote on Iraq. Here are the people who sold us the war, the news people, in case anybody forgot about their role in getting us into Iraq, acting as though Hillary Clinton was the one kissing Bush's ass all day long. It's incredible to me. Everyone has forgotten the issues concerning the press.

And then there is working out. I have to work out to get my cholesterol lower and to manage my diabetes. They want me to take a drug that is listed at WorstPills.org as a do not take drug. Worst Pills.org says it can cause pancreatitis, other things and ultimately lead to death. You don't need to be a member to read the score on Tricor at www.worstpills.org, so go there and read.
I feel like I'm getting my doctoring from bureaucrats in the Bush Administration. You know the one's who rewrite the scientific data. Or maybe they are just chicken shits who don't want to be labeled un-american, etal.
One more thing was since I had to write down all those channels I got self-conscious and changed my programming. I went for the cheapest base package, $29 at DTV and boy there is a good reason for it to be cheap. I didn't get TCM or MSNBC and all kinds of other networks including the Dicovery networks, except for Discovery itself. I was even exlcuded from Independant Film Channel and I think it was the Encore Series. I wasn't too sure they hadn't made a mistake. I was paying $79 for this cheap base package and the premium movie channels which I believed included the Encores and IFC. I was so busy though with the bike and the Nielsen's and my diabetes (I am back to cheking my blood after every meal) that I just decided to upgrade to a fancey $59 base package that was called I think DVR Plus. It mentioned something about recording my programs at the push of a button which I was used to, but I didn't know if they could remove that or something. Overall I've been pretty happy with DTV, I'm just running low on money.
I don't know if I should let it out on a blog but I paid my lawyer, or the firm my lawyer worked for, $3,731 for the work done on the estate transfer. Now there were no estate taxes. Like the democrats say, those estate taxes only affect the very rich and that I am not. I had been hoping Scruggs and Carmichael would do the work pro bono but that didn't turn out and when I look at the TV subscription I have I wonder if I haven't been living like a rich man. I remember living on less when my father was living. He gave me absolutely nothing but room and board. He let me live at home and eat what momma cooked, often meat that dad liked to eat, or had to eat like liver which isn't as hard on the heart as beef. I was on my own cooking vegetarian meals and eventually I indulged in the meat eating for want of a quality meal. I think that was in the mid 80's. In the late 80's momma let me subscribe to DARSHAN magazine and eventually I found the meditation center that had somehow gotten lost to me. I had been off eating at the Krsna Consciousness Center and the Siddha Meditation Center suddenly disappeared on me.
So, dad didn't help me at all and I didn't fight to get the help although I was on a little bit of welfare at times going to Vocational Rehabilitation at one time and doing all those things that DIRT POOR people do. It was when dad died and only mom was here that I was able to get some financial support. He died in 1992, January 17th. I had had my first Siddha Yoga Intensive during the Christmas Holidays that preceded.
I used to have to change the channels for dad. He couldn't AFFORD a remote control. He had been diagnosed with skin cancer and mom used to rub his back nightly with Intensive Care moisturizing cream. She had bought a car back in '77, a '78 Granada and it was a bit of a clunker. It had problems with its carburetor and mom didn't really know much about that. She also knew of no one she could trust concerning her car because all the mechanics we once brought our cars to had retired from the business. She depended on Ford and Ford wanted to sell her a rebuilt carburetor but she balked. She wanted a new one, but that's just not done. Whenever a carburetor fails it is rebuilt in the automotive industry. I too knew nothing about automotive reality and so I felt helpless. Years later I realized that this was the first car mom had ever bought. The old man bought the others. I remember how he boasted buying her the 1966 Yellow Falcon Futura in '66. He had bought a 1965 Black Falcon the year before which replaced a 1963 Falcon. He loved those Falcons, Ford's economy car. It proved to me though that the 60's were a time of great economic growth, and I hope this wasn't because we had a war going. Until 1963 my father drove a green 1951 Chevy
I didn't realize mom was such a novice concering car buying. Her younger sister, though, did not even have a drivers license.
Well, I have to get to WORKOUT, now. I hope that being a healthier person will help me get the job I so desperately need!

Rethinking Our Schools
I happened to read in the obituaries the passing of a nice woman who taught a nice course at Santa Fe back in the 70's.
Her name was Grace Nettles. I was surprised to read how old she was, 88. Nearly as old as mom.
I wrote a creative piece on Samuel Beckett's How It Is. I wrote it in the same style that Beckett wrote his existential story.
I met a nice asian girl in that class named Patty. We talked for hours out at my car. That's as far as I could get with her. I met her again later when a friend of mine knew a friend of hers.

Media Matters
Isn't it a shame what has become of the great institution of friendship these days.
People call me friends who have never set foot in my house. Never had dinner with me or shared a lunch.
These people are like church people, they meet to perform a rite and then disperse, but can you call them real friends?
I guess that's up to you.

Vanity Fair on The Farm
Good story on the evolution of The Farm.
Check it out.

Jena
The url above is a link I received from a friend who formed a protest of the war in Iraq in little Melrose.
I had sent her a link about the Matthew Shepard Act that I got from The Interfaith Alliance.
I haven't really taken a good look at it yet. I understand some white students thought a rope was funny and some black students protested it's presence. Some trouble ensued and the Governor of Louisiana, now is that the democrat we all worked to get elected, her and Ms. Landrieu who also votes on our side?
I'll remember her name in time.

Just had to check this out to see if it worked.

roadtrip-raccoons.jpg
I don't know why it took so long, but the raccoons have torn through my screens on the patio and gotten in to eat my cat's food and drink her water.
I have had to close the windows on the patio so the raccoons won't get in. I have also had to leave the door that leads to the patio open so the cat can go out and eat.
Finally, given the concern about energy costs, I have had to move the cat's things inside including her litter box.
She doesn't seem to thrilled about it. She liked the patio.
I have to get these screens replaced. In fact all the screens on my house could use replacing as they are kind of shoddy, the original screens put up in 1970. You can imagine. The patio screens are newer but a different type, very large for large sliding glass windows. I don't know where to get them, I suppose Home Depot.
Just saw a good movie on TV, American Splendor, which is showing on the HBO channels, if you get them.

Hoodia Diet
I've been taken these supplements that I got at the Health Food Store. Hoodia Fast Action Diet and a Carb Blocker. Both are from Irwin Naturals.
I haven't been exercising so much and I have been eating. My weight is up to 240. I've been pretty low in general, turned off by my gym and unable to get any work. I had been trying to get under 230. I've been there before and even lower but under stress. I had been having difficulty at 235. I think it was there I stopped going to the gym for some reason. It's just so regimented. Clockwork, if you know what I mean. Feeling like a number.
I had been listening to this CD called "The Words of Christ" by Pato Benton. He reads the words of Christ from the Urantia Book. It's interesting that he mentions self-respect and talks about employment at that time too. He, Christ as written in the UB and spoken by Pato Benton, says it's christian to give work to people, to employ them. Christian might be a paraphrase since when Christ spoke there was no christianity as such, just a belief in him. But that idea has been working on my brain a bit. I start to feel like people don't really care. I guess it's something like how people felt about Hurrican Katrina. Nobody really cared. All the taxes we pay, all the salaries we pay to elected leaders to care and then a thing like that happens.

The Sopranos goes dark
Yeah, I saw it last night, but I started from the middle and then digitally recorded the HBOW so I could see the beginning after a little nap. You see yesterday I drove to Orlando to receive knowledge and boy was that an adventure. The directions I got to these people's house were terrible, but I guess it was interesting asking that beautiful black hostess at the huge Ramada Inn there where in the world was Hunter's Creek Boulevard.
OK, so I saw the end then the beginning. The thing was that I thought they opened up with the big bada bing and then reviewed coming to the bada bing scene where it blacked out. It wasn't like that I noticed when I finally saw the beginning.
Somebody thought playing Journey's Don't Stop Believing made it hard to believe Tony got it there at the restaurant being a song so full of hope, but songs can be taken in so many different ways. I thought Don't Stop Believing was a sort of sarcasm at Tony's life. How absurd to believe you could find happiness in a life filled with violence, murder and deceit. So, I hear Journey being sarcastic, not hopeful.
I was reminded a little bit of Jack Nicholson's movie, Hoffa, when I saw these guys coming in and out of the restaurant. Which one was going to off Tony? Was Tony wondering if any one of these men were the man? And what about the family. I saw Meadow coming in late to see her family massacred by gunmen, having no pity on women or children. There I had Meadow left defending her father's lifestyle legally and morally.
I had been flirting with the whole question of why the owner of a topless joint ends up with a girl so intelligent and "virtuous." Yes, I know Tony went and beat up some guy who implied Meadow was one of the topless "whores" who worked the Bada Bing!, but still. I guess this goes to Tony's life being so well disguised by his mob connections.
I wonder though if it is the mob that diguises Tony as much as the media where you never see a dick or a tit or a vagina.
I'm thinking now of Quentin Tarantino's movies that go close up on those kinds of things, the blood in the needle of Vincent Vega's shot of heroin, for instance.
I guess I'm just a little hung up right now on what is most deeply within us, the Peace, the Self. How are we covering that up and do we have connections who help us?

The Keys
I'm going to Miami on June 10 to receive Knowledge.

Siddha Yoga Website
This is a letter I just wrote to the Siddha Yoga Contemplation Course. I don't seem to be able to cancel the course and get some of my money back.

I am in so much debt because as you know my mother died and left me her "estate" in her will. I have been able to obtain ownership of her 2 cars but I still am unable to access her annuities and stocks. And so the credit card debt goes up and up.

I foolishly paid for mom's funeral with the credit card and one finance charge has been put on the card for $340, as I recall.

Gas and groceries are funny bills because you get them as you need them. I never had any problem with them while mom was alive because of her annuities. She also received money from the railroad for which she and my father worked. Indeed, there was even another "trust" left to mom by a friend of my father's as a gratuity for helping him get his financial matters straight when he moved here in the 80's, but upon mom's death all of that apparently goes to the Masonic Home. She was only getting the interest accrued from that "trust" but it helped.

I guess I rushed into the contemplation course. I suppose I thought it might save mom's life as I thought going to the Guru Gita on Sunday might let mom recover from her stroke. How ironic that on that day when I had sung the Guru Gita with the Center in Gainesville the doctor told me there was little hope for recovery, too much bleeding in the brain.

I listened to the last lesson up to the point where you started talking about the Guru's Books, especially the part where you mention writing in them. As you know I am following another Guru now, so the multiplicity of Gurus set my mind ablaze. Lots of study. Study, study, study. Students studying. And I have studied in my life. I have studied much. Indeed you call it the Self, others call it Krishna, still others say the Christ and yet others say the Buddha. Maharaji calls it Knowledge.

So study, study, study but remember all work and no play makes Jack a Dull Boy and there certainly has been very little play in the Gainesville area for the last 30 years. So, you won't give me back my money. You won't stop the course, some big bureaucratic difficulty, a problem with paper work, accounting and such. Great. But don't send any more disks please. They make me angry.

They had high standards at the University of Florida. That's why I didn't graduate. A rule about 3 absences put me on academic probation very quickly and I never got off of it. In fact I was later put on academic suspension. The made noise about petitioning to continue going to school if I didn't get the grades back up, but they never explained what petitioning actually was and I didn't know anyone who had ever done it. Lots of people really hate the university and for a variety of reasons. There is no study of eastern religions. I thought philosophy might have a few courses in eastern thought but it didn't, not in my day. I had difficulty with language and had failed a physical education course because I missed too many days. I was, at the time interested in the community college and sitting in on classes over there, thus the absences.

This contemplation course would be a great graduate level course at some of your New York or California universities, I guess but I don't think you will ever see it at the University of Florida. I had a philosophy teacher, a wonderful young jewish man who followed a Guru, Kirpal Singh. He reworked his courses to allow for more free thinking. The first class I took with him was logic and the kids at community college had a difficult time with classic logic and the classic logic text so he decided to teach a course in consistent reasoning. We discussed reincarnation and such. One time we questioned the value of going to Disney World. In his philosophy course he invited devotees from the Krishna Consciousness Center to the class to give their speech on Krishna and the superiority of Krishna Consciousness. In that class he also had us read Plato, Martin Heideggar and Herman Hesse. In the Logic class he allowed us to grade ourselves as many did at that school and I gave myself a C. I had so overwhelmed by the demands of the 4 year university where at that time, as I have said, I was on academic probation for not maintaining that grade. I also gave myself a C in a class called The History of Black Culture, a class I suspect you wouldn't see at the Big School. Mr. Goldberg, whom we all came to know by his first name, Phil, also taught a free course on one of Alice Bailey's books, The Treatise on Cosmic Fire. There was enthusiasm, long before the book or the topic ever came up.

When my mother had her stroke there was a picture of Gurumayi hanging on the wall in the living room. It was one of those special pictures that isn't always on sale, more a work of art than a photograph. It was glued to a poster board and I just stuck the poster board up on the wall. It was something you saw before you entered our hallway. The glue that kept the picture stuck to the poster board had dried up due to the heat we had going for winter and the picture dropped off the poster board and being involved in other things I had to lay the picture down somewhere else. That was when mom had the stroke. Before the stroke she said she had a dream that she was dead. She didn't want to die, she said. She seldom told me about her dreams. She should have a dream about after death I told her. She valued life very highly and often mentioned as something that made her very happy and grateful, that she was, "still here," as she put it. That's what Maharaji is stressing in hid Keys, the gift of life. It's the fact of our present moment, that we are alive. We need to grateful for that every day and celebrate it.

I don't have a job. I had a part time job back in 1998 or 99 I can't remember, but before that I had been painfully unemployed. Shakti did little to alleviate that situation except to let my mom (and dad until 1992), support me. Dad worked and you could never forget the fact that dad worked. He worked and worked and worked, in fact for 40 years for the Pennsylvania Railroad, something like Moses. Then he led me and mom to the land of milk and honey, North Central Florida where he was born and raised. There was a great university there should I be able to enter it, which I was in 1971, called The University of Florida. I sit and watch the Gators win the national championships. I root for them, but what do they do for me. I don't even understand how to register for classes. What the hell is "to be arranged." No hours for classes, no days. It's hard for an "old" man to figure out. I thought I would give it another shot back in the 90's. I had heard the college of education was the easiest of the colleges so I went there and talked to people. Seemed like they would have been very happy if I would try to teach Special Ed, but I was uncomfortable with that. Nonetheless I tried to register for class but I just didn't understand how I was supposed to know when the classes were. It's such a long time ago, I'm not sure even remember if I knew what classes I was supposed to take to become certified to teach.

After I was finally suspended in 1977 and I couldn't get jobs my friends became self-conscious and wouldn't allow me to associate with them. Some headed out of town, others took more deliberate means to avoid my company to the point of assault and battery. So, I remained at home. At home my dad had developed cancer of the skin and could not go out on the lake or tend to the yard. He also couldn't work on my car which was broken down. It was always breaking down because it was an old and cheap car, a 1964 Falcon with no radio, standard shift. I had had an experience with a book, that Treatise on Cosmic Fire and the Treatise on White Magic as I recall, but I had been forced off of the informal community of friends and was getting picked up by police.

I lived at home with my dad and mom from 1978 on almost constantly. It was torture, truly. I changed the channels on the TV for dad and kept my beliefs to myself. Mom had compared me to dad at one point so there was a silence between us as well. Although dad claimed to be blind and I see today there is documentation that he was legally blind, he sure liked to watch TV. His favorite was Truth or Consequences with Bob Barker.

For 14 years we were constant partners, mom, dad and me until he died. Not happy partners mind you, but constant.

So, there's the melodrama or part of it. My melodrama. I can't really compare it Casablanca or any of those other old films that TV Guide qualifies as melodramas, but it's mine.

Now my world has turned more toward a Dickens tale. I know, of course, that there no longer exist Debtors Prisons. I have heard the term Economic Slavery though.

Pollencom - Your Local Pollen Reports and ...
I've been wondering if I have developed an allergy to my cat since lately I've been awfully sniffly. I see though at this website that the pollen around me is medium high.
My cat is like moulting and leaving all kinds of little puffs of fur all over the place which helps me keep up with the vacuuming. I just put some Frontline on her even though she hates that. She got a tick last year that made her limp which was remarkable to me as I didn't know a tick could make an animal lame, and so I apply this Frontline every month.
